On this wonderful Sunday me and my wife walked into, Jakees Jamaica Cafe 🇯🇲 .And the food was so on point. Im from brooklyn and I was excited for everything I ate. This is the Best Jamaica restaurant on Long Island. Im Shawn bk and I will be back very soon. Bless up!!!!!!
Delicious food, nice helpful staff, and super clean!! I have never tried Jamaican food before and now I do not know how I lived without it! The staff was super nice and helpful. When we called he took his time to answer all of our questions and gave us some amazing recommendations. My mom and I ordered the Mac and Cheese, Jerk Chicken, Curry Shrimp, Veggie Patty, Plantains, and a Tropical Rhythms Juice. Everything was so good! The owner introduced herself also when we went in to pick up the food. I can not wait to order here again and will recommend this to anyone who is hungry.
I’ll start by saying I have been ordering from Jackees since they opened and I cannot stop raving about them. Their food is authentic and consistent and I’ve never been let down. So far we have tried their jerk chicken (my fave), their fried chicken, and we just tried their jerk burger and WOW. Their lemonade is outstanding and their dishes pack the perfect amount of spice with the balancing act of the coco bread and plantains. 5/5 stars. Great food. Amazing staff. Highly recommend.
The restaurant is clean and the food is phenomenal. They gave a decent sized portion. I had oxtails with rice and peas and it came with delicious dumplings in the stew, very flavorful. The service by DK was incredible and he was very professional. I’d recommend Jackee’s to anyone that’s looking for a hearty home cooked Caribbean meal
Delicious food! Even as delivery**Update: I went in person today and it was even better. The jerk chicken was tender, juicy, saucy and flavorful. The woman behind the counter suggested I get oxtail gravy on the rice and wow..that was an amazing suggestion. It was a perfect addition to the rice and peas. The plantains were soft and delicious.DK is so personable and friendly! He checked in to make sure we were enjoying our meal, and made recommendations for the next time we come (the jerk burger and oxtail)Prices are just right, food is delicious, staff are passionate and friendly. Whats not to love? We will definitely be back!
Mrs /Miss Jackee is a sweet lady. The prepare the food fresh to your order. If you don’t mind the wait order there but it’s best to call it in and pick up. Or get door dash/grub hub to deliver it. I had curried goat and oxtails. I enjoyed to little dumplings that was on my place.
I cant recommend Jackees enough. The food is consistently cooked amazingly well. Their portions are amazing for the price and having a small option makes it awesome for a light lunch or just to try something new for five bucks. After a mixup and problem with Door Dash left me without food the manager went about and beyond to make it up to me. I was left left incredibly happy with their proactive response. In the past other restaurants have left me hanging with Door Dash problems but Jackees handled it amazingly well. Now I just need to get down there on a pasta day and try out their Rasta Pasta!
It was my first time trying Jamaican food and it was awesome!!! I got the ox tail and jerk chicken both were so flavorful and so tender. Also I tried a new menu item suggested by DK called the jerk burger and that was amazing! Deff going to be coming back amazing food and people!
My girlfriend and I recently moved to Long Island. One of the first things we knew we needed to find was good Caribbean food. Not only was the food at Jackees amazing but the service was awesome as well. We can’t wait to make this our new Jamaican spot. The curry goat was delicious, but that stew chicken !! You don’t know what tender is until you’ve had stew chicken from here. Looking forward to trying the jerk burger that the manager told us about. Be back soon !!!
I’m from Jamaica. I moved in the surrounding area and it’s been very hard to find a really good Jamaican spot near here. But this cafe.. is very good. It definitely did not disappoint. I had got the fried chicken. It was literally fried to perfection. I’ll definitely be back!
Im not usually the type to leave reviews but this time I had to. This was my first time getting food from this place and it was amazing. I ordered the food on UberEats and even though I had some trouble with the UberEats driver they still called to make sure I got my food at the end of the day. The Manager DK is so sweet and I definitely plan to order from here again! Thank you for your kindness :D !
First time today trying this local restaurant.I am from East Flatbush, Brooklyn so I do know good Jamaican food! Also, I have been to Jamaica over a dozen times and not just to tourist areas.Today I had Takeout Jerk chicken dinner and beef patty.I also had a sample of Aunt Jackees chicken soup.I am sooooo happy that I found this little Island Gem right hear in my own backyard! The food is AUTHENTIC and the service by DK, a fine gentleman was outstanding.I even had my 18 month old granddaughter share the patty. She loved it! Never too young to enjoy fine foods!Highly recommend! 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐stars !
My experience here at Jackee’s Restaurant was superb! Excellent service, very friendly staff, and the inside of the restaurant was very clean. The food there was delicious especially my favorite dish Jerk Chicken and Oxtails! The rice and beans was on point too. Also the prices are very reasonable. If ten stars was available I would be rating this place the full 10 stars. If you love Jamaican Food this is the place to go! You won’t be disappointed at all! I promise you!
Jackee’s is most definitely the best around!! The food was amazing, so much flavor not too spicy, and still steaming hot after the drive home. They have so many choices on their menu, I tried the stew chicken with rice and beans, cabbage and the plantains were a perfect touch. The restaurant is kept clean and organized, which is just a bonus to their excellent customer service. Seriously such delicious food I highly recommend it!
I have been in Suffolk County for four years and have had a hard time finding good Jamaican food, until I found this restaurant. The Restauranteur, DK, was so pleasant, welcoming, and professional from the moment I called until the moment I left with my order. My eschovitch fish was made to order and it was so fresh and tasty. The experience at the site was positive and made feel proud to be patronizing this business. Good food and great service!! Ill be back for some brown stew fish soon! Thanks guysHope
Curry chicken and stew chicken were good. We really wanted oxtail but it wasnt ready yet. Staff was patient while we changed our minds. 🙂 Service was courteous and prompt, and Im am appreciative of that. Im new to the area and was in search of some good West Indian fare. The element outside of the restaurant was questionable, but we will definitelybe visiting again. Hopefully for oxtail!
Drove all the way from Holbrook, greeted immediately with a smile, service was fantastic. Even gave us a sample of Mac and cheese while we waited. The fiancé and I picked up a beef patty, oxtail, jerk chicken and rice and peas, absolutely delicious and worth the ride. Everything was cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to go back!!
Ive just recently come across this place and in a short time have become a big fan. Im very picky with my oxtail. Most places share out straight rubber like there was no pressure cooker on site. These actually come off the bone and got the dark gravy, not that reddish stuff( If you know..You Know). Highly recommended this place. I know a screwface usually means good Yard food, but this actually has good food and friendly service. Bless
Checked out Jackee’s today with my 10 year old, we’ve never had Jamaican food before and the super friendly woman working gave us a run down of the dishes, which was so appreciated! He got BBQ chicken which he devoured and I got the ackee and salt fish, it was a new flavor/ texture experience for me but it was pretty good! We will def be back to try more dishes!
The food is delicious. The staff courteous. My order was a lil off first time via doordash but the man called me to apologize, gave me complimentary replacement and even called to follow up day after. The second time around I went in person. The food was delicious. The place had pics of Jamaica my home. I would recommend Jackees. Nice lil spot on the Island. Be blessed.
I lived in Brooklyn so I know GOOD Jamaican food. I was a little skeptical at first b/c I tried some other places in the area & wasnt impressed. Jackee was very polite when I walked in and even though she was on her way out she made me a fresh snapper from scratch. Its not often that the proprietor is so personable and the young man behind the counter offered me some of their 4cheese Mac to try while I was waiting which I ended up getting a side of. The fish was juicy all the way to the bone! Keep up the great work Jackees. Glad to know I dont have to drive for an hour to get authentic Jamaican cuisine.
First time here and it was sooo good! Got the OX tails and it was the best ive ever had. It was very clean and well put together inside, real authentic Jamaican food and the service was great, Miss Jackee is so sweet which makes everything that much better... Definitely recommend 🙌🏽.
I Loved It The Instant I Walked In. The Gentleman Behind The Counter Greeted Us (welcome to Jackees) And Took Our Order. As We Waited For Our Order ,He Offered Us A Scoop Of Chicken Soup .I Have Never Experienced Such Kindness At A Jamaican Restaurant Before. We Were An Hour Away From Home And Happened To Spot The Restaurant And Went In. We Will Be Back. The Food Was Delicious
The food is delicious! I ordered from here via Uber eats and everything was delicious. My mother and I ate everything within minutes of it arriving last night. My mother wanted oxtails so I took her to Jackees again today. Jackee is wonderful! Such a beautiful soul. If you want good seasoned food definitely give Jackee’s a try!!!! The best in the area!
WOW! after a long day of delivering Uber eats orders, I found myself heading to Jackee’s Jamaican Cafe to pick up one of my last orders for the day. I was so hungry and craving something different from what I normally have, and being a vegetarian that is very VERY hard to find.I walked in and was greeted by such a friendly man and also by miss Jackee. I told her I really wanted to try something but I don’t eat meat. She told me to hang around for a minute and she would make something special and vegetarian for me.What she came out with was this delicious, flavorful, beautiful hot home cooked meal that I was SO excited to try. It hit ALL the marks for me. Not only are they the kindest place I’ve been to but by far most flavorful. The fact that she went and made something special and equally as tasty for me being a vegetarian was awesome. My experience at Jackee’s made this stressful day all worth it because I found her cafe! Truly made my day!!! Thank you Jackees cafe! Delicious!!!!!
The food was not seasoned at all. The cabbage was hard like it wasn’t even cooked. The fish was not seasoned. The curried goat was dry. They didn’t wear any masks the had no gloves. They are very rude to people who are not customers and just want to ask a question. I was extremely displeased with the service I got I advise anyone not to go there. Also if you take out you wait 30 minutes because they are busy doing online orders and not the customer who is their in person. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!
Jackee is the Best!I’ve literally been to all the Jamaican restaurants in the area. Jackee is by far the best one. The service is on point. Oxtail, jerk chicken, curry goat, roti, ackee all really good. The patties are fresh which is another reason why it’s a step above the rest. I refuse to eat at the other Jamaican restaurant. You will not be disappointed. They’re closed on Monday so don’t get your cravings until at least Tuesday lol.Kareem
Ok so I have a similar testimony, I went to Jackee’s last night for the first time and the greetings from brother DK was welcoming! As was his service appreciate that black man! The Roti was nice up my only thing is next time I would ask not to package the skin with the curry chicken to keep it dry ! Other than that big ups!
Didnt know what to expect. ive had tons of jamaican food- in stores and homemade. jackees is the. REAL DEAL!! i had the beef patty and coco bread, shrimp roti with rice & peas and cabbage. and topping it off with a side of mac and cheese. Yummy! the entree was made to order as was the beef patty. its worth the wait! this is truly hidden gem in coram/middle village/medford area. lets get to the food, the roti- the bread soft and moist, five big pieces of shrimp succulently cooked. the rice&peas, you could taste the coconut milk, blended perfectly. the mac. and cheese is simply delicious! the cabbage crisp and freshly flavored. last but not least, the beef patty, a snack food staple is fresh and flavorful, mildly spiced (mom approved) and just plain good. you have to get the patty with the. coco bread. cant wait to swing back by- i want the stew. chicken and chicken roti. if youre the area, you must try the food!
Jackees Jamaican Cafe is a hidden gem!!! This is my third visit and each time the food has been amazing!! The Jerk Chicken is my absolute favorite, it’s a generous portion with just the right amount of spice, it came with rice and peas, plantain, and cabbage. The cabbage was cooked perfect, and the plantain were absolutely delicious! The oxtail was tender and flavorful. The restaurant is kept immaculate and the staff is friendly and polite. I will definitely be returning!!!!!
Exactly 8 shrimps to a roti with chayote (Cho Cho) as fillers. The same for the goat roti. Do you guys count the oieces? Needed more spice. Not a bad flavor but could be better. Suggestion: serve the usual amount and charge for the meal. Makes no sense to charge below market price for a meal that only enough to stick in one’s teeth. Disappointing.
The place was very clean the food was freshly cooked and the customer service was awesome.i also used Jackie’s to cater my husband birthday party in which I ordered oxtails rice in peas jerk chicken all was perfect for guess of 50 people everything season well and melt in your mouth I will recommend everyone to stop by you will be pleased with the delicious food

2022-05-25Large Ox tail was tasty and had good amount of meat for the price I feel. The cabbage wasn’t for me, it’s crunchy, however my friend enjoyed it. The rice and beans were good with the ox tail sauce.

2021-09-25I ordered a large oxtail dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how authentic, well seasoned, and tender the meat was. I would have given Jackee’s 5 stars but the rice was still hard and undercooked, and the plantains weren’t ripe and tasted starchy. However, the oxtail was the star of the show and they nailed the flavor and preparation! If you want oxtail that taste like you mom started cooking it from the night before without leaving the Long Island, I HIGHLY recommend this place. (Maybe ask for well steamed/cooked rice, this was a slight let down)

2022-06-06All around incredible food, very impressed with the quality and portions. The beef patties and plantains were some of the best I’ve had, and the meat (we had jerk chicken and curry goat) was perfectly cooked and coated in flavor. Will be returning to try some more!

2021-07-31Fresh food w/ a lot of flavor. The chicken is fresh / tender, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the cabbage has a crunch to it. Low prices for the amount of food you get and theyve got plenty of drink options. Ill be back.
