I have been to this pool numerous times this summer and always had a great time. BUT today it deserves three stars. During a heat wave children and seniors were outside past the opening time. The walkway to the pool inside the womens locker was dangerously wet and dirty. Staff members were rude and belligerent. I even asked a staff member for her name but she refused to provide It. The ONLY thing that remains the same each and everytime my family visits is the great service of Ms. S. Austin. THANK YOU Ms. Austin for keeping my family safe, so they can have a good time.....
This pool is nice to visit. has a lot of restrictions, justifiably so. White tee or tanks. No cell phones or news papers. You must bring a lock to store your items because you can only bring a towel something to read and a water bottle to the pool area. I neve asked if you can bring a lounge chair. There are no real comfortable spots to lay out bout I guess you came to swim. They have shower and change room- nothin fancy. Toilets fo not have seat- no one sits on public toilets anyway.
We love this pool. Friendly & personable staff. Shout out to the locker gang for all the good vibes & small talk before our sessions. Shower gang thank you for keeping our showers clean & dry. Lifeguards stay on point trust me weve tried them lol. Security (Nakita) Wynter loves you! Since day one youve been so good with her & I thank you. Maintenance I think a hose with a little bit of pressure will work way better than trying to sweep wet leafs. Spray them in a pile..then dump them. Lets not let the leafs take over our pool. Overall my experience has been great at Jackie Robinson & I just made my daughters official members so now they can take advantage of all the other activities & fun they have to offer. Looking forward to the rest of the summer. Stay cool guys we love ya!!!
They were rude . Horrible staff. Did not even let me go in the pool and when my brother wanted to sit in the lobby they accused me of being a bad gaurdian bc they were not responsible if something happend while he was in the lobby?! My brother is 14 .The main entrance guy that checks for locks was way to sarcastic and kept commenting on everything i was doing when all i was trying to do is get in and out of this pool and have a nice time. Will never recommend.
The staff is allowing mothers to bring their pubescent sons into the womens locker room where girls and women are NAKED to various stages of undress! This is TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE AND UNCOMFORTABLE to women showering and getting dressed or undressed! I was taking a shower after swimming today, and this belligerent mother send her son back to the shower area after I told her he was told old to be in there. Boys over 4 years old should not be in the womens locker room! The staff does not enforce this and it is an invasion of privacy to have boys up to 12 years old in the womens locker room!
Inside is a recreation center! Weight room, basketball gym, computer room, game room, sports leagues, exercise classes, sports training for kids and adults, art programs, dance classes, computer classes and soooo cheap. Free for any one under 18 yo. Clean, well run and friendly staff. A treasure that offers something for everyone. Did I mention its soooo cheap to sign up?
To be honest Im not sure ifI would swim in that pool that open in summer and is way to crowded...thats a choice. But if you never been to in and around the Jackie Robinson park you should, its huge, very relaxing and chill. Use to live in front of that park...I was very lucky!
Theres a women ms kelly who works in the pools and downstairs sometimes shes very polite and helpful and knows how to treat people verbally unlike the other ladies she works with that are very rude and unkind..i appreciate ms kelly thank you for making me and my families time there great😘😘😘
Worst Pool Ever ‼️ DO NOT RECOMMEND, THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE. ME AND MY DAUGHTER CAME OUT THE LOCKER ROOM & FIRST THING THE LADY SAID WAS YOU GUYS HAVE NOTHING BETTER ELSE TO DO ? GO HOME! THEY SAID MANY MORE COMMENTS MAKING ME AND MY DAUGHTER FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. MAYBE THEY WHERE RACIST OR JUST RUDE PEOPLE. WORST EXPERIENCE IN A VERY LONG TIME.

2022-07-04The pool just reopened for the summer, and already we have “Karen’s” trying to take control the public pool. She wants to swim laps in a public pool where the children in this neighborhood attend every summer. I would have taken a picture of her in full swimsuit gear, like she training for the Olympics but the pool doesn’t allow phone.

2022-06-28It was horrible we waited 3 hours standing and then they told us that they have to take out the 73 people in the pool so they told us to leave after 3 hours. I looked in the back and there was like 10 people i can’t believe they lied to us like that. Horrible experience!!

2021-07-31This is my go to pool every summer. Its close by, always clean, never crowded even if you go on the weekends. The staff is always friendly, you just need a swimsuit & a lock and your off to have fun & swim! Its great for the kids and if you have toddlers there is a playground with sprinklers, the sessions are 11a-3p & 4p-7p, I always take the kids for the first session and after there are plenty of places around the area to grab a bite.

2021-07-28I’ve lived in this area for 5 years now and just discovered this gem, the pool is massive and very well staffed. A police station is near and officers are always present, very family friendly.Pro tip: 11 am - 2:30 pm are the best hours.Entrance is free and if you bring a bag you must bring a lock, if you bring two bags then two locks.Lockers are about 12x12 so don’t pack too much.No cellphones allowed in the pool.Very stick on that.Have a great time.

2018-08-17It was a bit cold but there is a cool little sprinkler area next to the pool. There are many teenage kids that are not with parents, cursing, play fighting, and splashing, but overall sweet and will apologize if they wet you by mistake. I went Friday at 4pm and it wasnt too crowded. Staff looks tough but will flash a smile if you give one first. Locker area is small but clean. You shouldnt wait until the last moment to leave because locker room does get super crowded.

2019-07-31Great pool especially for first session! It’s barely people but everyone is respectful and you can swim and or go to the sprinklers part for the kids. Water before getting in is warm. I guess this is personally my favorite pool so far. Just because of the space!

2020-08-19It was a decent size pool and it was fun going there with my friends I went there when I was younger too. But if you wanna hang and chill out after the pool, pull out your blanket or towel and lay down near the grass but its not that big but its just fun to be there after the pool

2019-07-25I couldn’t get any pictures at the pool. But here is my review:Park is large, free & clean. All Sprinklers are working. 11am-2:45pm & 3:45pm-645pm are the times for the session. Pool measures 3 ft 6 inches all around on the sides. The middle of the pool has a thick black line which indicates a depth of about 4 ft & a few inches. Ppl wore rash guards, tank tops, t-shirts & goggles. There were 2 summer camp classes & Pool was empty!
