There are two different buildings two blocks apart for the Jamaica Center for the Arts. This is something that should be made clear on any advertising for events at the space. We came here to see the moth and it turned out we were two blocks in the wrong direction. The space is kind of cool it has two galleries on the bottom level. Its a beautiful old building that Harkens back to a time when the neighborhood was not is overly commercial as it is now. My tip for seeing a show or spending any time at the center is to pack a lunch or eat before you get to that neighborhood because the area around Jamaica Center is Fast Food City. You feel like youre in an outdoor shopping mall.
Went for a Intern Job and was told they have one administrative assistant Job opening left that I must bring all documents and start the next day , went there was told a whole different thing ,why lie or not give me more information and its a 13 week training program for medical assistant smh Im glad I asked around before I wasted any more of my precious time , if you dont know how to do your job let someone better do it!.

2018-04-11The Peace and Love Art Exhibit was lovely. Two galleries are located on the main floor separated by the lobby and security desk, with easy access to the building from the street.

2018-05-14Its a great place for almost all ages because of the kinds of programs they have as well as their art exhibits. They offer computer programs, an after school program for kids, summer camp for kids, dance classes for adults and kids; workshops like the ones taught by Les Twins, musical performances, festivals like The Queens International Childrens Festival in June and they rent out rehearsal space. All programs and rental space are reasonably priced.

2018-12-03Went to dance performance/recital here and I loved it. However, since I am not from NYC, I immediately paid for parking when there is an entire row of FREE parking right in front. Duh to me. Next time I know and now you know-park in front!!!!! Awesome location!!!!
