I went to see Gods way play it was excellent
This was my 1st time going to see any kind of play it was spectacular for that type of play you could easily pay over a $100 or more but we got in for just $20.00 If it was Broadway you would had to pay much more It was well worth going
Beautiful building. I believe they converted a church into an amazing art center. The dancers are wonderfully diversified in age, race and gender. Great time spent with kids. After the show the actors/dancers come out and greet the audience. Beautifully put together!

Ive attended shows there and have also worked with a company who performed there as well. The manager director is very friendly ,open and helpful. The technology staff is very friendly and helpful as well. The only thing lacking from a performance point of view is that they lack of wide range of colors to emit to the stage. Its clean ,has an elevator ,seating is very adjustable. And you can see from wherever youre sitting. The bathrooms at least the womens bathroom is always nice and clean, spacey and has quite a few stalls.
Went to see the Dinizulu performance here and it was very organized, clean, not freezing inside like so many venues, the stage felt like a good size and the seating space itself felt cozy. Comfortable chairs and great acoustics for drumming singing and the sound system was not distorting the sounds. There are bathrooms downstairs but I wish there were more paper towels. By the end of the performance they were all gone for that last trip before leaving the center. Overall I would attend a performance here again. 👍
This place looks like a church from the outside and when you walk in, a school auditorium. Small. Good enough for elementary school plays. Didnt get to walk around and appreciate the real history I was surrounded by but it was clean and bright 👌 Theres another floor or two as well.
I went there to see The Moth. The space was very modern in an old church. The theater was clean and comfortable. The sound was very good.The theater is an intimate space for seeing a show.It was super convenient from the subway.
This is a lovely venue. Wonderful for all ages; its beautifully maintained. We brought the kids here to a experience a Black History lazer light show.They loved it!!

The staffs are very courteous, the seating is comfortable and visibility is good from every location. There is a very nice catering area on one of the upper level. This area is nice but very small.
The group that held the led twins event were the most unfriendly group of people I have ever met. No one said hello, welcome thanks for coming nothing it was the worst experience ever.
I went to a film screening with Q&A afterwards we had food before screening great crowd could not hear the speakers correctly after the show the volume was too low on their Mikes so we decided to leave but other than that had a great time
Old church that has been transformed to performance center. Very hard to locate if you didnt know it was a church. Seats are uncomfortable and the acoustics equate to the auditorium in a old public school

The mezzanine is badly lit and has a poor design that caused multiple audience members to trip or even fall in the dark.

2022-05-14Nice spot for performances but the biggest issue for me is that they dont want you to eat in the theater. ...like Comeon- Broadway allows you to so why not. Smh.. There is no parking lot but street parking is free after 7pm in the area. Accessible by bus and train. This place could be utilized so much more but theyre rules prevent it Im sure of it. Better management would have this placed booked weekly.

2022-06-10It wasnt so much the Jamaica Performing Arts Center as it was Braata Productions. The performance was phenomenal and I had an awesome time. The center of itself made us feel welcomed and the place was homey. I have been there before and had that same feel but each time the productions were great and took over the space to make it a phenomenal experience each time.

2021-12-30Its a beautiful space. The theater is big and amazing. Ive performed there multiple times and been in the audience as well, from both point of views it was an amazing experience. Downstairs dressing room and bathrooms are clean, and the staffs are very kind and respectful.

2019-11-14Nice auditorium with comfortable seating and good acoustics. I went to a open house seminar on investing in the Jamaican Stock Exchange which has been recognized as the best performing stock market in the world by even the New York Stock Exchange. It was a very informative session and while I am the first one to admit gaining entry to trading on the market is not as easy as the USA market, the hurdles can be overcome easy enough. It is a market with no Capital Gains taxes and no double taxation on withdrawals.

2021-10-10A Beautiful Hall - Good for any event. Guess what? My Princess niece, an actress and her film maker husband wedding event happened there. Superb!! Big spacious and clean also clean rest rooms.
