Very good for the price. Quickly arranged for reservation with a nice woman over the phone. One night for 79. The heat was a little low powered even when we turned it up, but otherwise manageable. Clean bathroom. Good location from Woodbury outlets and the Halloween haunted house attraction nearby. Varied dinner options nearby
Forget going to the Ritz, THIS is wear you wanna plan a vacation, right in the middle of Monroe too, the nightlife is pumping, the food is all 5 stars, excellent in every way. Bring the kids to this one, you wont be let down!
Came in at 2:30am with 2 dogs and 4 adults. We were greeted with smiles and quickly given a room. Pet friendly is a plus! Near a gas station with everything and a DK nearby as well. Owners are really nice.
My husband is staying here while working on a construction project in area. The rooms have new beds and linens. These owners have just took over the place just a couple of months ago. They have been working hard at cleaning up all the rooms to make this a great place to stay. Please do business with these young hard working entrepenaurs.
Found this little gem quite by accident when visiting family. I had a lovely room with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. No problems with Wi-Fi and TV. Scrumptiously comfy and very clean bed. Lots of hot water and delightful owner who bent over backwards to be accomodating. We kept adding days to our stay and they always found us another room. Given that they are in the midst of major renovations, I have no complaints - I dont require glitz and shine, just cleanliness and good service. The James Motel provided both. I plan to stay at least once a month when I visit family.
Bad experience ever! Dirty room, I️ found cigarettes under my bed in a non smoking room! The list is big:- heat didn’t work- mold in the shower- thin curtains- noise- I️ got sick since room was pretty cold.I️ had the most horrible experience ever! My husband and I️ got sick. Smelling sheets that were not washed at all!
There’s mold in the rooms. The bathroom floor was dirty. There are cracks on the walls. Shower curtain had something that look like dry vomit on them. The bath drain fell off.
This is a bang for your buck, no frills motel. It is clean, conviniently located and managed by new friendly owners. It is in a lot better shape sine it changed management. Nice bathroom, nice bad amd clean linens...what else one needs after a long trip. The famous Woodbury commons mall is 5 mins away.
Definitely getting much better! Under new management, rooms have been upgraded with new furniture. They have a ways to go for the whole place, but they are definitely making a lot of progress. I would definitely recommend!
Friendly staff, new rooms recently decorated, low prices. The owner was very helpful to me, being disabled, I was allowed to check in early. They have this young man who cleans the rooms who helped me get up from a low chair. Ill never forget his kindness.

Management is wonderful. They were so kind to me despite the fact that I was a tired and grouchy hiker coming in. The room was newly renovated and very homey. The place seems to be making a turn for the best.
The owners are nice and very helpful!!! And considering the proximity to 17M, it is quiet, due to the distance from the road itself...The politeness from the owner is a breath of fresh air, not something that you see too often anymore...
Old school motel... Our room had 2 queen beds, flat screen TV, a desk, a chaise sofa, microwave and fridge. Room was clean and staff is very friendly. Nothing fancy but decent for an overnight stay.
Just left here 5 minutes after checking in. Couldnt stay more than 5 minutes. Floor boards rotting, carpet filthy, a/C full of gooey stains, and the whole place smelled like mildew. People were nice, but I didnt expect to get my money back. Just got the hell out of there and heading to the Hampton Inn a few miles away.
Dated but clean and the owners are super accomodating. We enjoyed watching the deer every evening. We were in room 201 for 7 days. Wed come back.
We found this place online and we loved it, its very quite and its located next to so many shops and resturants. The front desk was very friendly and cool. The room was very big and clean. The batbroom was spotless. They have an outside picnic area which was a plus. If I could give this place more than 5 starts I would with no hesitation. 👌👌👌Jayro😎
Very comfortable and its been renovated and under new management. They are very good people. I would totally return and im planning to. Remember it is a motel, the decor is very modern in the new rooms.
Very friendly staff clean rooms pet friendly it also has a nice shaded area to sit at one recommendation would be to put up a runner so the dogs with a a dog bag holder and yeah can you have the space for it
Had a horrible expierence. Non smoking room smelled like smoke made me sick gave me a headache. bathroom had mold in tub and hot water handel wouldnt turn then she charged me higher then normal rate of $100 for the night. the front door had no weather stripping.
NOT quite as is depicted in their photos .... walls are in very bad shape, as was our flooring and carpet. Felt like you could go through the floor boards esp when walking up to the 2nd floor rooms. No chain lock, no covers on thermostat, visible MILDEW and rot in the walls... holes in the bathroom screen, AWFUL SMELL that I could not tell what it might be.... Yes, new curtains and sheets, and I hope new mattresses... Nice couple, but wont go there again! Not even a one star!
After staying at your hotel i noticed a bunch of bites that look like bed bug bites, never had soap or toilet paper, the owners were really loud and threaten to call the cops on me and my friend who were doing nothing wrong.
Room was spacious, clean and well furnished/equipped. Carpet was super soft. Great room for a great price!

New ownership is great and hotel rooms have been redone and its a 150% nice clean hotel and in a great area with food with in walking distance of the hotel. Very Safe area and very the woodbury commons and Pure Terror Scream Park...Best hotel around for the money you cant go wrong.

Surprisingly nice and clean inside. The room was comfortable. Plain and ordinary from the outside. Our stay was good.
Terrible and noisy. My room smelled and the TV didnt work properly. The discriminated against me for having a service dog and I dont recommend it to anyone

Better than it looks! Its under new ownership and a lot of work has been done to the interior of the rooms. Its also pet friendly, which is a plus in my mind.
Beautiful room. Honestly amazing how nice it was for such a low price. Great staff to help. Even a cute little dog to say hi to in the office that night.
The lady actually really helped out a guest of mine who stayed there for a couple of weeks! It was clean & a safe environment for my guest!

The room is very spacious and comfortable, everything is very clean and tidy. The owners, who are new to the place, take great pains to improve the building. Very attentive people, they are working with a lot of love in their hotel.

2021-09-07Stayed here one night just passing through, The beds were comfortable, but the place is outdated. The really bad side of it is, I woke up the next morning itching and scratching. I started getting these bumps all over my body. They were painful and itchy. the day after that, they started blistering. Yes, they were bed bug bits and a lot of them too and I am very allergic . I do not recommend staying here. I love to patronize small businesses, but they have to do something to keep you coming back. This is one place I will never revisit. Plus they have a lot of people living there and I found a lot of rodent droppings in one of the drawers . That should have told me something. Never again, stay away, pay the extra price for something nicer. Clearly they are just in it for the money.LB

2020-01-22Beyond excellent service, incredibly affordable, extremely friendly, honestly the owners and staff were lifesavers plus the room, bed and shower were amazing! Long story short I was from out of town, vehicle died on me, stranded with no where to go in the middle of a very cold night, the staff at the time really went out of their way to help me out and accommodate me. On top of all that my room was extremely clean and warm, my bed was super comfortable and the shower was the best Ive ever used in any hotel Ive ever stayed in! I would highly recommend and would definitely (and probably will) stay again!!! Thank you so much!

2019-11-18The host was very friendly and accommodating. The room rate was reasonable for two adults and three dogs. The room itself was clean and everything worked including the thermostat. Lots of dining choices in the immediate area. I would definitely stay there again.

2018-01-31We spent the night here while driving from MA to NC. We arrived late and the clerk who checked us in was friendly. The prices were low and we were pleasantly surprised that the property is clean and well maintained. The sheets had been pressed and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay again if ever traveling back through this area.

2018-09-23Very clean room and very stylish, nice touches were the presentation of the towels and bathroom items. The towels were of good quality as were the tissues. The room was better than many hotel rooms we have stayed in. All in all we would highly recommend this motel, very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.

2018-06-13A family owned hotel. They have been doing a good job of restoring this place. Weve been here 6 months and cant complain. The clerk and her family are all too glad to to accommodate your needs if possible. Rooms are clean, environment is friendly, room price is competitive for the area.

2019-09-22My family and I have been staying here Saturday and Sunday for a month while going to the Renaissance festival.On the fifth weekend they decided to change the price of the room from the affordable price of 150 a weekend to $130 a night.Honestly I felt that the owners were good people, and wanted to support a small family owned business.But if you are going to start charging corporate rates for no other reason than to be greedy, Im going to go stay at a corporate hotel that offers amenities.The internet says free breakfast that isnt offered.And you can get a pool, fitness center and laundry service else where for the same price.See good luck in the future.

2017-07-20Very hiker friendly. They offer a ride back 2 the trail and did are laundry for us with no charge. Lots of upgrades and remodelling going on. Loved the bed is was new and fresh. The owner was a great guy very nice and hard working

2020-12-22This place was amazing MJ and Ralphie were always friendly and helpful. Went from staying in a regular hotel room to staying in an efficiency apartment that had everything included water, trash, cable, internet, power at an affordable weekly or monthly price I highly recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely always come back here.

2016-11-29Staff was very nice & helpful, offering to Google where I was driving to. Checked in to a 2nd floor room, a little too close to the stairs for my liking. Recently remodeled, heat cranked once it was turned on. Staff didnt seem too upset that I was sleeping in at 12PM the next day, just told me they were letting me know what time it was & didnt bother me again. I left the door unlocked & the key in the room.. Efficient place, will definitely book again next year
