They have a big sale until April second because of Easter holiday. Today we went my wife and me to get her some dresses for the holiday. We arrives at 6:30 p.m. and they started calling for closure at 7:00 p.m. i think this is the new time after corona period. We get two dresses for her for almost 17$. Always good price with good quality and good customer service. Totally recommend this one at the island
A shell of its former glory, Pennys is now a sad visit into what once was. Never again, I fear, will this once giant if retail achieve the success it once had. A visit to Pennys now is depressing, as even the employees are aware of the stores impending Denise. Though, defiantly, they soldier on, keeping the stores ever dwindling stock in good shape. I miss the old days.
Hmm what to say... I absolutely love this store but there dont have enough staff. There is only one cashier station per floor, they are great people who do this but there isnt enough cashier stations. When you buy clothes now, there are not to many staff members there to help you. I did the other day run into one and greeted me with a great smile and did help me out. This was something that doesnt happen to much but he was great.The last things that I tried to buy were jeans and mens underwear. They only basically have skinny jeans and the underwater dept was a total mess!!! I mean the biggest mess that I ever seen. None my size, half the packages were open, and there was no packages that were in size or orderly.I think jc pennys here changed a lot but thats not a good thing. I would hate to see them pack it up, because I remember the beginning when they moved to the mall. They were excellent everyday, but now I cant really see myself shopping there. I tried online and they didnt have anything I needed either. I decided to go to Kolls after that and they had everything I wanted and great sales. Oh well what can you do. 3 out of 5 stars. I hope they get better. The store staff are wonderful and they keep this place alive at jc pennys.
Terrible experience! I was looking for a specific item that Ive bought a few weeks ago for over 45 and because of theres no assistant staff expect the only poor cashier that has a long line of customers, basically no help whatsoever. I went to the CS and their answer was in these words or others, basically Tough Luck! Ive asked for a manager and warned a few long minutes, and have up the bad experience. Ive told them that from me they wont see any business anytime soon, and left.If I’ve helped, thank you for clicking the “LIKE” button!My Ratings: A SPECIAL DUNG AWARDS 💩💩💩Price $$, Service 00*, Comfort 0.5*## Will I visit this place again? Only as a last resort!
I have bought a mattress from JC penny store and a month and a half later when it was supposed to be deliver I had a very bad experience with the delivery company , i waited a whole day from 1-5 PM as they told me and at 7:30 the driver calls me on a Friday from the front of my house. Of course I was not home at that time anymore . He also told me they will deliver Monday at 1pm and of course that did not happen again. The delivery company name is Citipack delivery systems on 55 street New York. I would give a zero if possible.
Went to the portraits studio last night. Danielle was the manager and photographer. She was great and very patient with my cranky 2 year old. I don’t know how but she managed to get some very nice pictures despite his tantrums. The photos were available online within a few hours which was much faster than anticipated. Thank you Danielle for your professionalism and patience!
Well I never been to JCPenneys I wanted a back road for men so the first place I went was Macys they had one back roll which was a Ralph Lauren for $100 Im not paying $100 because some dude put a horse on a roll what is that some special cotton cotton in this cotton man I said you know something let me check out JCPenneys I went there and their bathrobe was on the clearance shelf what would it cost me $50 I paid like $8 for one and then $12 for another one and I got me a pair of slippers for like $7 too which is originally $25 yeah it was a great experience loved itI came off like a fat cat I was very very happy
Ordered items online for in store pick up and when I got to the store...there were 12 people in front of me with only one cashier...which had to leave desk to go pick up ordered items from another location....spoke to a supervisor and he got right on it. Put two extra registers at work and the line finally began to move. Satisfied with how they handled everything.
I was very surprised when I arrived at JC Penny. The store was crowded. It hasnt been like this for years. Then I saw why. The prices were very reasonable for their products. I guess the new CEO has been correcting the problems the fro former one created. I will definitely return for products I need.
Well I havent been to this store for years. Going in and seeing the new store was a surprise. But all in all, the clothing still have a lack of sizes for lets say some of us larger men. When I aksed if they had more. The response was online. Reply, if I wanted to shop on line who needs a store. Id rather shop in a store.
A wonderful store with unbelievable prices, you won’t find anywhere else, beautiful shirts and deals under $10; It’s my favorite store; I find here all that I need for clothing, I don’t need to shop anywhere else! Also Take advantage of the coupons too for more savings and of course pay off the bill one (1) shot so you keep the savings 😊🙏🏾
Unfortunately I do have to give at least one star, however, I have had the worst experience at this location.I purchased a ring from the Jewelry department as a gift for my mother. I dropped it off for resizing on 11/25/2018. Promise date was 12/16/2018. Today is 01/02/2019. LITERALLY into the next year, and I have not received any messages/calls/emails about picking the ring up. I have called this store for a week straight during business hours and CANNOT reach the Jewelry department. I got hung up on TWICE by the Womens Department, which was the only department, by the way, who even picked up the phone. JCPenney Customer Service also called on my behalf and COULD NOT reach anybody. I purchased a ring with lifetime warranty and NOW, I have NO ring, NO gift, and NO answers. I live in Maryland, and what should have been an easy process of my mother bringing in her slip to pick up the resized ring, has now become a matter of me having to drive across several states because I have to be IN-STORE to settle problems that this store is CLEARLY incapable of handling. Dont trust your jewelry purchases with JCPenney and certainly dont expect your warranties to be honored here.
Its an ok shopping place but sometimes what youre looking for is hard to find and the racks are sometimes empty from being shopped out. The store is usually hot too in summer or winter. But the selection is nice and the ppl that work there are nice & helpful. Ive shopped here many times.
Associates can be unknowable about some merchandise. Lines are long at any given cashier. Place can be messy an associate will walk by and disregard it. Can never find any one around to ask for help. Clearance section is very unorganized. I think this place needs a complete transformation to successfully grow and thrive.
The cashier in the womens Dept needs to understand that its her job to help the customers. After charging me the wrong price on a pair of sneakers.She insisted that the shoe Dept is a self help area and I need to find the right price. She wouldnt go check or call anyone. She kept asking me if there was any workers there. Isnt what there phone or radio is for to get assistance.
One star is probably too much for this place went to buy a pair of sneakers the place was a mess had the wrong size sneakers in different boxes and totally unorganized the security guy was sitting down with his phone not even keeping an eye on anything they need to get some responsible workers in there to straighten the place up.Completely terrible experience
Customer service has deteriorated a lot over the year, especially, at the Staten Island Mall Store, where no one is available to receive the phone call in any department. I am having problems receiving the item ordered two weeks ago and no help is being provided. Looks like they have laid off a lot of people and think that their good for nothing computer systems will take care of customers.
Usually the store is spot on ...no problems at all...last night I purchased 3 pieces of jewelry along with clothes...Jewelry was put down first and rung up first...the associate was very nice and polite...but was very distracted by answering questions from other shoppers while ringing me up...when I got home I noticed the jewelry was not in my bag...have to now hope they realized this and put the items on the side for me and not back on the display.
Worst experience ever. Went to take some portraits and the front desk woman with the curly hair and glasses didn’t even acknowledge me....then when she finally did she wouldn’t take a walk in because her “lunch” was in a half hour And a portrait session was 45 mins long. Mind you the studio was empty because she stated she had a 1:00pm cancellation. So I’m all reality she could’ve accommodated us.. she just refused to and I am a steady customer of jc penny. I will not be coming back
We went to the JCP Portraits studio and we loved every minute there.The woman who took the pictures of my family were so patient with my 5month baby and my other son. She got so many gorgeous pictures and even made goofy faces and did silly things to get the shot. The point is if you are friendly to the staff they will be helpful and go out of their way to make sure your happy and thats what exactly what happened.They became very expensive since i just wanted digital pictures so for $100 to get all my digital shots was outrageous.
Was shopping today .. they have marked down stuff alot so i was buying alot in clearance fashion jewelry. one customer has the nerve to ask me to stop loooking at the jewelry as it bothers the cashier an old russian lady. whaaa? i told her to go away and do shopping she was crazy and out of place but i always feel they have incompetent staff who dont want towork and that is why most of them are shutting down.. they dont have any customer service so they should close or employees should stay home.
The 2019 Jcpenny Thanksgiving day sales and merchandise where great. The better quality of the merchandise has improved over the past few years and the cost of merchandise has increased. The Jcpennys electric kettle bythe Cook company was my favorite this year as well as the Pyrex glass Tuberware / bakeware.
Great location, and always kept up to par alongside other Jcpenney locations. Youre able to find most of what youd find here, that you would at any other locations. Disparities within the selection due occur sometimes, so online orders and free shipments to the store always exist as solid alternatives. Major appliances are now sold here, so consider as an option, especially when comparison shopping. The barcodes on price tags are proprietary, so youll need the official JCP App to scan items in store to check prices, and get coupons. Ones time spent waiting at the checkout line, is the one area where things tend to go downhill, as during peak times, such as close to closing, it can take an unreasonable amount of time to get through ones purchase. Hopefully the forthcoming in store Mobile Checkouts serve to alleviate this ongoing occurrence.
When you shop at JCPenneys on Staten island there are never any Kashi is open and when you have to pick up something from catalog you wait there forever the people who work there take your order then they have to leave go to the back of the store pick up the item bring it to the front of the store you can wait on line forever they should have the stock and the registers together
I just recently ordered a new washer dryer from jcpenny website. Having 2 old units in my basement that both measure 27” wide I made sure to order 2 similar sized units. I with a friend easily removed the 2 old units from the basement with NO damage to the units or home so he could use them. The delivery was set to come last week and when they showed the box on the washing machine stated it was 28”. Before I had a minute to confirm with jcpenny that the correct measurement was 27” they left. 10 minutes later I had confirmation from jcpenny and the manufacturer that the correct size was 27”. They refused to turn around and refused to come back. A week later they send a second delivery crew and they now state the 27” won’t fit even though the first crew said they would fit. The customer service is horrible with the delivery depart blaming jcpenny And jcpenny blaming them. I am a jcpenny customer and should not have to bother arguing and dealing with their delivery company. Will never in life set foot in a store even if they gave away merchandise for free
Since opening my JCPenney credit card 2 years ago, my credit has only got better and the only payment we missed was when I was volunteering for Hurricane Harvey and we were a couple weeks late back in September. Today I just received a letter (for the second time this year) stating they are lowering my credit limit. This also lowers your credit score. I am no longer EVER shopping at JCPenneys and will shred my credit card today for their shyster banking practices.
On black friday I have received a 500$ gift card. I went shopping at jcpenny I got four bags full of cloths and home items.then i went to the counter.A casher said there was only one person in the whole JCpenny building who got the 500$ gift card and that person was not me! Then 3 more employers came then the cash register was showing i used the 500$ gift card.I said ok i am going to leave the 4 bags here in, jcpenny, I was in a such a happy mood when i got the the 500$ gift card and you ruined my happy mood! on the way back home i thought i am never in my life going back to jcpenny ever again. i am still very upset about what happened that day.
Wow Im standing in line right now and there is about 4 people in front of me. There is two cashiers all of a sudden one cashier decides that she is not going to take anyone else right about now those 10 people online like really youre not going to take anyone when theres a long line will never return here again.
I will never buy again in JCPenney, I was pick up my orders at store ,when I check out the shoes ,it seems someone already worn ,but cashier told me it is the way ,but is not ,when I check at store same style but different size is brand new ,how come she can say it like this ,so obviously it already worn ,when I ask me exchange it ,she let me go find by myself, so bad bad bad service ,
I bought a necklace online i got it on sale and when it came in it was defective the clasp was broken i tried exchanging it in store they told me to call online where they also couldnt help me so I wasted money on a broken necklace no one was helpful not even customer service.

2022-03-12Realizing every store is short staffed, I must compliment the sales ladies working the womens dept in the SI mall store. They were so helpful both on the floor helping me find a size & cashier exchanging my shirt for the size I wanted. I had the wrong receipt and she looked numerous ways to make the exchange. They are ALWAYS this helpful.

2022-02-28Minimal merchandise, minimal staff very disorganized, and no associates on the floor for assistance. I wanted to try on a dress, and when I asked the cashier for FR, I was quite rudely told it was on the other side of the store. There was only one open fitting room for the entire floor. I would not recommend even walking into this location.

2021-12-28If I could give no stars I would this place is a mess there employees are rude Im saying this as a customer as a former employee I would highly recommend people not work here. The favoritism and management in this place is horrible I was fired for something that I did not do and they did not have any proof THEN they give a document stating that I can not step foot on any of there properties which its not even a legal document (had it checked) they literally keep people who put hands on you and people who dont show up they treat there employees like slaves especially during the holiday season then they cut your hours to nothing they do not treat those employees with respect they speak to you like a child and degrade you management are a bunch of lazy rude horrible people DONOT WORK HERE
