J.Crew in other cities:
I’ve always had excellent service here, and today was a prime example. Both the manager & the salesperson were very helpful. They exchanged a pair of jeans for me that was too stretchy & recommended another style that fits perfectly. 30% off sale today, too. Some years they have better styles than others, but I’ve gotten great casual wear there for years. Also love the J Crew bathing suits, which I generally get online (but can return at the store if they don’t fit). Great selection & quality - they last more than one season & I get lots of compliments.
They usually have more inventory compare to other J crew stores in the city. Staffs are really nice and helpful. I sometimes return my online purchases here and never had a problem returning. FYI, they usually have a better discount than online so check out the stores first before ordering online.
I love this store and the products they sell! This store especially because the staff was professional and friendly. One of the best experience was when i needed to buy clothing for a wedding. The whole staff helped me pick and choose clothing that would match and look great. The only negative about this place is the price, if it was a little cheaper i would only buy my clothes from here
A great store...I love J Crew because their clothes are stylish, cool, and fit well. Also, there is usually an array of colors to choose from (I like colorful clothing), and I can order from the website and pick up in a store...Its definitely my go to spot for swimwear (I usually order online)...
Super easy shopping for whole family, except infant. Best assortment and offering in the company. Only annoying thing is getting to mens shop on top floor is rather a trek up stairs thru entire store, or taking elevator of chance ( not quite sure if you are going to make it out alive or make it out at all)
I walked into this J Crew not realizing it was a higher-end store. I was looking for a t-shirt I saw online and I casually asked the staff they exclaimed that they did not carry t-shirts at this store. I did see lots of nice items I would not find in the suburb stores. I found a very nice work blouse and cashmere dress. The clothing there were cost a lot more than the other ones such as $500 skirt or $1800 snakeskin skirt!! The tall gaunt lady was not very nice but a petite lady was more helpful she was attentive and found me several items that I tried, I bought a few items I was very happy with.
Legacy brand still pumping out solid fashions despite not maintaining the level of success it once had with myself, my yuppie friends and contemporaries. The price point at times feels a bit inflated in comparison to the competition.Fast Fashion brands like Zara, Uniqlo and H&M continue to snatch more of the market share (and the wigs of many big name outfitters), but at the end the day J CREW still delivers in many basic and essential categories.
My boyfriend is a very big fan of J Crew, all of his shirts and pants come from here. Although, unrealistically priced for my taste I will admit they are very stylish. My honey always looks charming in his washed-out J Crew Graphic t-shirts and unique colored shorts. Awe Im blushing now. They have really nice clothing and prints though, if i had the money I would definitely be a frequent customer

Putting aside the branding history and the name J Crew, I want to talk a little bit about the clothing. Suit blazers and pants are made from overseas manufacturers at very little cost to the company. Yet due to their retail locations and bloated sales team, they have to mark-up the prices 5-6 times higher in order to make a profit. I bought a jacket a few months ago and I feel really hot whenever I wear the jacket because the lining is made from what feels like polyester which is almost like wearing a plastic bag. I paid over 300$ for the blazer alone but the blazer feels like it should be worth 40$. My experience with their clothing has been abysmal and I hope J Crew will consider reducing their prices to reflect the true quality of their clothing.
Awesome location but Mens shop is on the 3rd floor, which makes it tough for the guys. Theres an elevator but its usually crowded with moms and strollers. With that said, they do have a great collection of clothing for men. If you need help they have reps around the floor for suggestions and help.
I am a senior in college & will be entering the workforce post grad. I needed a suit for an interview 5 days away. Im in the fashion industry so I shop for quality and style. I thought of J. Crew and headed to 5th ave. I grabbed a suit to try on. Thankfully, I ran into Kal & she assisted me. She was so helpful and attentative. Jewel in the fitting room was great too. The size blazer that I needed was not sold in stores. Jose, the manager made the executive decision on what size to order and it came within 3 days. This suit was the perfect fit for my body, fabulous quality, and great fabric. These individuals went over & beyond to help me on my first interview for my first career. I am forever grateful. Theyre very educated and know the product. Will forever keep going back!!
Huge selection but the store was a bit overwhelming. It also seemed understaffed and the clothes were a bit strewn about. The store is two stories and the dressing rooms had no A/C when I visited on a last week. Its decor also didnt feel like most of its other stores; it was a bit bland compared to their signature style.
I came here to buy a few shirts during their winter sale and it was a great experience. I bought about 5 shirts, all under 30 bucks and the reps were great in helping get additional stuff from the back. I wouldnt have found some of the shirts otherwise. Surprisingly, it wasn;t as crowded as I thought it would be, during sale and christmas season.
I had a very bad experience at this store. The prices on anything in sales area are not the same when you bring it to the register. I just didn`t noticed that and I was overcharged.Realized that when I got home. The price tag gives you one price and the cashier at the register gives you another. When I went again to this store to ask someone why the prices are different they only shrugled their shoulders and didn`t give me a proper answer. Be very careful when you go there and do not let them to trick you
Favorite location of J.Crew in the city. The salespeople are super friendly, courteous, and helpful (and consistently seem happy to be there). It is always well organized and the sale selection is always impressive. Huge fan of J.Crew in general- but this store is the best.
I had the worst experience in this J Crew store!I received one defect product from online purchase so I went to this store for return. To my surprise, both the associate and the manager refused to accept the return because it is defect!I then went to the J Crew store at Rockefeller Center. They handled the return properly. It is ridiculous that they treat their customers differently with other store and they dont care about the return policy at all!
This location of J.Crew has a huge selection. Its 3 stories of beautiful merchandise that catches the eye with vibrant pops of color. They often have a pretty large sale selection with additional 25-30% off on the 2nd floor. J.Crew is known for its preppy style, but more recently there is an edge to their designs. Lots of color, sparkle and patterns make this a fun place to shop!
In April I contacted Sarah at the Customer Advocacy department at J. Crew to complain about the inferior quality of a garment that was marketed and priced as a quality and high end product. She gave me her email address and told me that she was sending me a free shipping label to send the product back to their offices in Lynchburg so that they could assess the damage and decide whether or not it was a quality issue. No such email came and so to get them the product I called the store located in Tribeca (NY) and asked for a shipping label. May 15th 2015 at 11:45 am: I then packaged the two J. Crew suit jackets (approximately a $350 value each) and took them to the store to be shipped back. Michael the manager at the store printed out the shipping label and email and after I took pictures to document the drop off and the boxes contents he supposedly shipped the box out. May 22nd 2015 at 5:54 pm- I had not heard from anyone so I gave the store a call. this phone call would last a total of 01:03:20 in which Michael and I discussed the fact that he was in fact the person who helped me. Had acknowledged the fact that the UPS Tracking number stated that the package had not been picked up let alone delivered. He then checked the store for the package and found the package was not there and recalled actually sending the package out. The package is now LOST. The outcome that I agreed to and that I believed was reasonable was as follows: I would be able to come to the store and chose two suit jackets to replace the lost personal items that were lost WHILE IN THEIR POSSESSION. May 27th 2015 aprox. 1:11 pm: I went to the store to be reimbursed for my suits. The manager on duty that day says that I will have to wait for Michael and come back tomorrow. I assured him that I wanted no part of wasting further time and that because of the nature of what was happening I demanded that I have the issue resolved that day. The stores general manager refused to come out of his office to be bothered with me and the terms were then changed that I would receive the sale price of one of the suits being sent out ($75 instead of $350) and then gave me one suit jacket and told me I had to come back the next day. (NOTE: The suit Jacket given to me not only looks as though their has been heat directly applied or an immense amount of pressure. THE SUIT WAS RUINED BRAND NEW. THIS IS THE QUALITY they are so quick to boast about. When I tried to return the suit I was met with skepticism and refusal. The suit still hangs in my closet.)
Not the BEST for their mens shop (that would be a toss up between 484 Broadway & The Ludlow Shop), but their kids & womens selections are pretty full. I stopped in last night on my way to dinner with friends, and found my wife the perfect gift for our 4th wedding anniversary. She is obsessed with all things ancient Egypt - I found her an iPhone case (she needed a new one) with camels on it. Gave it to her this morning, and she loved it! I love that I can always count on J.Crew!

2021-11-20Honestly had the best experience walking in. I was looking for a jacket for my boyfriend and received amazing customer service. I was immediately helped by Austin who was phenomenal, he went all the way to the back room to try and find the exact size and model of the jacket I was looking for. Even though he asked me if I wanted to order it, I preferred having the actual jacket for a gift that night. This by far was the best customer experience I received in a while. I 100% would recommend coming here. They were all attentive and friendly sales associates and a very clean aesthetic.

2022-04-30This is the flagship store so I come here for the selection since they are pretty stocked up... they have the bigger clearance section as well in my opinion and the floor staff are helpful and knowledgeable

2022-07-24I went to send times that location. Who working second is unhelpful. I like to checkout on the first floor. First floor’s ladies are sweet and helpful.

2021-12-29I never really write reviews but I had the best experience here the day after Christmas, that I feel I need to share it. Rebecca (sp?) was patient, helpful and went above to help me with my annoying/complex transaction. Even during this same visit on another floor, asking for assistance, I was dismissed twice, but I went back to Rebecca and she took care of me, calling multiple stores to find me a coat. Full disclosure, I manage a retail space and I know Rebecca’s are hard to come by. Keep hiring Rebecca’s and give her something special for this+.

2018-11-21Good location. I’d say staff is helpful when there’s a decent amount of customers. If it’s packed it’s a little harder to get service but that’s anywhere.
