What an enjoyable car-buying experience! I have been hustled so many times and had so many bad experiences with buying a car in the past. It was refreshing to work with this dealership. They are 100% easy to work with, totally honest and straight forward and will do anything they can to make your car-buying experience pleasant and successful.Chad was efficient, knowledgeable and oh so helpful in taking us through the process. His father Jeff is so very personable and friendly. They both make you feel very much at home. I purchased a Mercedes S550 from them and researched this vehicle a lot before selecting their dealership. The car is immaculate and like a brand new vehicle. It was detailed and spotless when I took delivery and am so pleased that I got this gorgeous vehicle for thousands less than I had found comparable vehicles for at other dealers. In addition to my beautiful car I purchased, they have an outstanding selection of high end low mileage vehicles and an amazing beautiful truck selection as well. After hours of internet research, calling dealerships, and looking at vehicles I stumbled upon Jeff Kies Auto Sales. Many of the places I called within a 200 mile radius were very cold, uninformed and complicated. After speaking to Adam on the phone, I right away realized that I was dealing with people who were professional, courteous, and kind. For this reason I decided to make the 2 hour trip and cannot express how pleased I am. Their lot is organized beautifully according to year, make and model. Everything is clean and attractive. I got a kick out of their office area that had an antique gas pump and other neat decor. Adam made the entire car buying process seamless. He went above and beyond to answer all of my silly questions, prepare my vehicle and do the do all of the paperwork on the same day! It was a joy chit chatting with both Adam and his dad. This is a lovely family owned business and I would love to do business with them again in the future. Thank you I love my new vehicle so much!!
I was trying to decide what vehicle I would like to purchase, and I saw online that Jeff Kies Auto Sales had a Rav4, so, I decided to check it out. When I arrived, they had one with the features I wanted, in the color I desired and with the mileage, year and condition that I was looking for. Adam Kies was the salesman I talked with, and he was very helpful, friendly, informative and easy to work with. I met Mr. Kies as well, and he also made me feel comfortable and welcome. No pushy sales tactics. They let the car sell itself, and it was a win! I love, love, love my new vehicle, and I appreciate the ease of the transaction and that my new car had new tires, new front brakes, cleaned inside and out so that it sparkled, nearly half a tank of gas and all at a lower price than competitors in the area were offering them at! Absolutely horrible business. They are very nice and friendly when making a sale. Once they get your money they dont want to hear no more from you. I had my vehicle for 2 weeks and I have issues that needs to be addressed and no one has yet to get back to me. Its a family owned business and the whole family acts the same get the money or contract then disappear. I guess the only way to get through to them will be through legal proceedings I will file a suit before my warranty is up. Someone from this dealership needs to call me back or answer my phone calls. I am highly upset this car is not fully 5 years old and I should not be having these kinds of problems.

Chad only takes care of his buddies....most of the good reviews are from them. We have bought 3 vehicles from Jeff, and he made us feel like valued customers, so we drove almost an hour from home to do business with him. We have proudly told MANY people that Jeff was a good business man. This time we dealt with Chad who did not value our repeat business. Im tempted to drive the truck we bought from another dealer to Apalchin and show Chad the contract. They have lost a loyal customer trying to make a mint.

Im surprised at the negative comments about Jeff. Over the years, Ive bought 4 cars from him. Never any issues with attitude. The last one I bought was a Sebring that had 16k miles on it. I was car shopping in my Kurt Busch sweatshirt. When I returned to pick up the car the next day, there on the back was a Kurt Busch vanity plate. Never said a word! I thought that was extremely nice! The car turned over for the last time with a little over 210k miles on it. Jeff was never rude. Always a pleasure to deal with.
Freedom from Covid 19 thanks to Jeff Kies Auto Sales!!From start to finish, Adam was spectacular! His responses to my text were instantaneous and I had lots of questions!With the pandemic limiting options for fun, my husband and I decided to look for a camper (as so many others are across the US. We know 0 about campers and required much assistance. Kudos to Adam for his patience and expertise. He helped us get the correct hitch and accessories required to tow the camper.After a 3 1/2 drive from CT to meet Adam, we discovered the electrical wiring for the brakes was resting on the exhaust and had melted. Adam was able to rewire the mechanism and away we drove! We absolutely love our My Pod Little Guy!!I would make the 3 1/2 trek again to purchase another!!
Worst experience of my life, wish I could give 0 stars instead of one. I bought a 2013 BMW and a few weeks later the mirror fell off as I was backing out of my driveway, I found the underneath of the car duct taped together and issues not disclosed with the power steering and brake lines. I called and texted Chad but got no response. It took calling and speaking directly to Jeff to get an answer from anyone after serval tries. 4 months after buying said car my service engine light comes on and I find out that a cap broke and was leaking fluid into my transmission. My mechanic said it was a pre existing issue!!! Now because that cap wasn’t fixed I have four different codes I have to try to fix and will be forced to spend an additional 2-3 thousand. I highly do not recommend buying a car from them.
Ive been waiting some time to write a review, nervous I would jinx my lovely new car, however I have to say after owning my 2012 chevy sonic for about 5 months now, I love it. I havent had any issues with the car. I noticed a clunk in the back when I test drove it and Chad had it taken care of before I came back a second time. The whole experience ran very smoothly. I worked with Chad but met Jeff and Adam, everyone seemed very knowledgable. Chad was attentive to what I wanted in a car and was very easy to deal with. They gave me a great price on the car I traded in and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. When the times comes for another car I will definitely be going back to Jeff Kies Auto Sales.

Purchased a vehicle for my son a couple of months ago. The salesman and transaction itself went extremely well. An issue with the car arose a little later on. This usually is where you find which dealers are good and which should be avoided. I would highly recommend since they stood behind the product and helped us, the customer.

We went all over - from Susquehanna County (even to a previous dealer we had bought from), all over Broome and over to the Sayre/Waverly area - these guys were the nicest, most honest people we encountered. We had from bad to ok experiences at other dealerships, but these guys went above and beyond. They were honest, to the point, and patient while we test drove almost everything in our price range. In the end we got a great deal on a beautiful car that we are very happy with and the entire process was quick and easy. Will definitely be going back the next time we need a used vehicle!
I bought a 2008 Buick Enclave in April from Jeff Kies. Chad was on the lot and was more than happy to juggle my wife, son and I in with the other customers efficiently as it was a busy day. The market average for that year under 100,000 miles was $16,500 and Jeff Kies had it marked for 13,800! The interior was immaculate and all of the maintenance and fluids that go with the Buick had been refreshed before putting the car on the lot. I signed the paperwork and picked it up waxed and clean two days later. I especially appreciate the trouble Kies went through to help me register the vehicle in North Carolina as I am out of state military. Even the employees at Visions in Owego hold them in high regard and were happy to notarize a sales document for a Kies customer for free. I have since put 5,000 miles on the vehicle and am certain now it was a good buy. It was reassuring that the vehicle came with 3,000 mile warranty in case any gremlins did pop up. Thanks Jeff, Chad, and crew for helping put my family in the right car! I am keeping an eye on their lot for the next truck to join the family now...
It may sound a bit cliche but I litterally cannot say enough good words about Chad! Ive purchased 2 cars from Jeff Kies Auto Sales and my parents have bought 3 cars from the family dealership. Ive now sent 2 of my in-laws to Kies and not a single bad experience! 7 cars over the last 10 years to 3 households...sounds to me like they are doing something right! If they dont have, they will get it for you!
Had a great experience working with Jeff and his son. I read the reviews before going down, but I find people only take the time to review a place if they are unhappy, very few people are will to go out of their way to write a good review. I told a couple coworkers I was going down to Jeff Kies to look at a few cars and a few of them purchased cars there and also had a good experience. I went down and worked with Jeff son, Adam. I drove a couple cars, without any pressure I purchased something I loved and not what they wanted to sell me. I am extremely happy with my decision and would suggest anyone and everyone to visit their dealership. An absolute breath of fresh air compared to dealing with other dealers in this area. So far I have good to say of the Kies experience ,Adam put me in to a nice truck , paid off a phone bill to get me approved . I am very happy at this time , I recommend Jeff Kies auto .I looked around and other dealers had loans and autos that my final cost exceeded Kies without paying off a $1500 phone bill .Wile I see some people have ill to say . I think one has to except the vast intricacies of autos . Jeff Kies sells used cars . People who buy used cars have to except possibilities beyond human ability . Even brand new cars can be problematic . People who buy used cars are kinda on the second step of life . For what ever reason , finances are deciding of your lifea used car is your path . For those who express negativity just drive your car with care as a used car should & push on with lifeFor the last 6 years I have had cars that cost $150 to $600 & I loved those old clunkers they did what I needed . I am humble & as of today I am part of world of decent respectable car owners . I am no spoiled bratmaybe the naysayers need spend a month with some of my clunkersOh yes I guarantee your attitude will change . I love Jeff Kies taste in cars. My wife and I would frequently stop when we would see a model vehicle on the lot that we liked and look it over. After we started having issues with one of our other vehicles, we decided to spend some money and purchase a reliable vehicle for our family. We test drove a GMC Yukon that Jeff had on his lot and really liked the vehicle. They assured us there were no accidents on the vehicle and everything was in great condition. We went ahead and purchased this vehicle for 16,000 dollars and were pleased to have a reliable vehicle that we wouldnt have to pump money into immediately for repairs. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and positive.Once I drove off the lot this changed. When I left the dealership I took the vehicle to a local garage for inspection since I live in PA. On the way to the garage I noticed a miss in the engine that was causing it to sputter intermittently. When I got to the garage and shut the vehicle off I noticed that the in dash navigation system would continue humming and clicking even when the vehicle was shut off. After the inspection station looked over the vehicle, they called me out to show me the under side of the vehicle when it had been in a front end collision and was repaired. These were 3 red flags that didnt align with the story I was told at the dealership. I wasnt worried because they were so great to work with and I only purchased the vehicle an hour prior. I called Jeff back up to tell him the issues we had found, and asked if I could bring it back and purchase the other Yukon they had on their lot instead. He told me We dont rent cars here. This was not the reaction I was expecting, almost like he knew the issues before I even told him. I asked him what he expected me to do and he suggested I bring it into his garage to get fixed, but was not willing to cover the costs. I reminded him that the reason I purchased this vehicle was because I didnt have time to be working on something since I now had a 3 month old son and 18 month old daughter that Jeff had met earlier in the day at his dealership. He explained that he also has a family to take care of and hes not in business of charity. I explained that I didnt want this vehicle with the damage and existing issues that had been covered up during the courting process and asked if he would take the vehicle back. I explained that I was even willing to take a 500$ loss on the vehicle to compensate them for their time. He told me he needed to talk to his son and he would let me know what they could do. He came back on the phone and told me they will give me 14000$ for the vehicle that I had purchased from them earlier that day.This is a 2000$ loss in 6 hours! Apparently he is in the business of renting cars...I reluctantly brought the vehicle back to take my beating and learn from this lesson. When I came to his office to return the keys, he immediately addressed me with DONT SIT DOWN, YOU WONT BE HERE THAT LONG. This is a much different tone that we got earlier in the day when he was cracking jokes with us and playing peek-a-boo with my daughter.I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This is a terrible way to treat people. Please save yourself, your friends and family from experiencing the monetary and emotional stress that Jeff caused for our family.
My daughter bought a car from Chad Kies and paid cash plus her old car. Chad told her that the car was in great shape, it had new brakes all around and even underneath was good. I was there, this isnt hearsay. when she started having problem with the brakes making noise she took it to her mechanic to have it checked. lo and behold, there were multiple problems with the car, including brakes, holes in the underside among other things. She went with her mechanic to talk with Chad and Chad said they would look for another car for her. After three months of not getting another car or money refunded. she kept trying to get in touch with them, but they do not call you back. I stopped there one day and spoke to Chad and he said they were still looking for another car. Later that day my daughter also stopped with a friend of hers and Jeff told them not to bother sitting down, they were not even looking for another car for her. I know that there will be a response that this is just bad luck or some other nonsense, , but it is not. When they get their money that is all that they care about. I actually thought there was some integrity and trust. there, but there is not. I will never speak another good word about this dealer. Umm, if I wanted to hide behind the internet I would not use my real name. And also, everything I said is the truth.
So far so Good. I bought a 2010 Lincoln MKT from them. Chad was awesome, and really helped out. He also gave me a better deal financing than my bank and took 1000$ off the price as well as making that the final walk off the lot price(Everything included except tax, which I chose to pay out of my pocket) All this was accomplished over the phone since I am about 7000mi away in the middle east! He didnt seem pushy and got back to my emails very very quickly! Until the car decides to do something crazy or I find out there is a problem he knew about and didnt say anything......I will have to say this place is pretty good!
Monday 2nd, April 2013As a business owner myself in Northern Virginia, I must say I concur with Mr. Kies, it is so easy to throw out dirt, without telling the entire story to the world; the Internet does NOT tell the entire history; for that reason I am careful what I say on the Internet; making sure that I have the full facts.My daughter & son-in-law have purchased approximately six vehicles from Jeff Kies Auto, and have been extremely pleased with the level of service and the automobiles they have purchased; so much so that I have been researching and test driving vehicles when I come into town for about the past nine months; with absolutely no sales pressure.I finally purchased an SUV this past w/e, and was so amazed at the ease of the entire transition; as my last purchase was a Toyota seventeen years ago in NOVA, and since I purchased the SUV; I couldnt be happier. Please, read my review before purchasing a car from Jeff Kies Auto Sales.In October, I purchased a used 2006 prius from them. I knew exactly what I was looking for and searched extensively online, and was thrilled to find the car I was looking for fairly close by. I was pleased that it was a small, family-owned dealer...and the transaction was pleasant and reasonable. I was told when I purchased the car that a second key was forthcoming and they would fed-ex it to me as soon as it came in. Two weeks later, I called about the key because it had not arrived and was told it should be in by the end of the week, I should receive it within a week. Two weeks later, I called again as the key had not yet arrived, and was told Oh Im not sure there is another key, let me make a few calls and get back to you. Two weeks later, no key, no call. I called again and was told the same thing let me make a few calls and get back to you. A week later, no key, no call. I called again and was told there isnt another key, sorry. I asked if they could have another key made for me, as I bought the car under the impression that I would have a spare key...was told we dont usually do that, but let me check with my Dad, Ill call you back by the end of the day one way or the other. No call back. A week later, I called again...Dad said no, was the response I got. I then explained (not so nicely at this point) that I needed a second key for my car and would have negotiated the whole deal differently if I had known there wasnt a second key, and that I really didnt appreciate the dishonesty and lack of communication, but wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right. He said he would talk to his dad again, and I should call back in the morning. I called at 9:30am and left a message...no call back. I called at 1:30 and left a message...no call back. When I called again at 3pm I asked to speak to his Dad....who wouldnt listen to my story, refused to buy me the spare key that they had promised me from the beginning, claimed his son never lies and then hung up on me.??!!!This dealership has defined the negative stereotype of used car salesmen. If they had been honest with me, and returned my calls from the beginning I would not be writing this negative review. I urge car-shoppers to look elsewhere...these guys will lead you along and make it seem like theyre your buddies, until you give them a bunch of $, then they dont want to hear from you ever again!
Like most customers, I was treated very well when I walked into KIES with the intention of giving them my business. Both of Jeffs sons were very respectful and accomodating to my needs. I found a great vehicle (lucky, maybe?), got a fair price (because I was an informed buyer) and immediate financing (because the dealership is motivated to close a sale.) An office clerk, forgive me for not remembering her name, went out of her way and rushed to the DMV at 10 minutes before the DMV was closing, to get the plates and registration. She was sweet and pleasant and happy to help. A credit to the team. I bought the extended warranty from KIES from the company KIES did business with for at cost (yeah, it gets better!) Well, everything was jim dandy... until it WASNT. The vehicle was involved in a total loss accident through no fault of the vehicle itself. Admittedly, the vehicle was everything it was promoted as. However, and heres where my respect for JEFF KIES went down the toilet: I was told, BY THE WARRANTY COMPANY, that because the vehicle was a total loss while the warranty was STILL IN FORCE, that I was ENTITLED to a pro-rated refund FROM THE DEALERSHIP of what I paid for the unused warranty term AND additionally was told the warranty cost SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS than what the KIES men affirmed as having cost them afterwhich they sold to me at [THEIR] cost. Well, I contacted Mr. Jeff Kies and explained my understanding of this development I had learned from speaking with the warranty company directly. In the words of Gomer Pyle, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!! Despite the PRE-SALE respect and professionalism his sons demonstrated, Mr. JEFF KIES responded that the warranty money was [HIS] money and that he would NOT refund it to me. Further, he SHOUTED at me over the phone, I believe in his hope that I would be intimidated by his aggressive response. (Ha! Ive been shouted at by some of the best there is at it and JEFF KIES only THINKS hes a tough cookie! ) Anyway, I contacted the warranty company and they assured me they would request KIES refund the difference to me and if Mr. JEFF KIES refused, the warranty company would refund the amount DIRECTLY to me and send JEFF KIES a bill to reimburse THEM!Ya. A few weeks later I got MY refund difference. It was only a hundred bucks or so, but to a man who claims to sell 1,000 cars annually, (were talking an estimated million dollar profit margin or more?) JEFF KIES, in my experience, would rather scream at a customer and line his pocket with another $100 bill than to just do the right thing.The lesson I learned from my horrible experience with MR.JEFF KIES->Its all good, till its not, when Ive dealt with MR. Jeff Kies. His sons? Well, they have to do as their father demands...as long as JEFF owns the business. But at least the boys have class enough to be respectful to their customers. I guess MRS. Kies brought those young men up right...or so it seems.
Chad went above and beyond to help me get my car. He was very professional, patient and showed great customer service the entire process. Would highly recommend!
Bought a journey 1 yr ago when i bought dvd player didnt work and they didnt want to fix it with brand new system so they got used which took out my navigation and dvd only worked for about 1 month and quit. no compensation and now no navigation or dvd player which is 2 reasons car was worth the money horrible customer service never called me back after calling at least 1 a day for weeks. other than that issue it was a fast easy and great buy experience just wish they would have made it right by giving me what i paid for!!!
In response to the last 2 post ... Mrs Patricia Coleman and her friend that posted also, [ that must have to much time on their hands and their nose where it doesnt belong ] didnt go on to say that the vehicle in question was a 15 YEAR OLD CAR that she had for a year was sold to her daughter, not her.. The vehicle I believe only had 40,000 miles if that many. the car mechanically is fine but is starting a little wear and tear as anyone would expect for a 15 year old car that lives in NYS... Also the shifter was fixed at my expense 6 months after purchase for over $200 that we never even got a thank you for !! This is so ridiculous Mrs Coleman also doesnt mention that she buys her cars here as do a lot of nice folks in town and I dont here her complaining, she was always very thankful for what we did ... I guess the gist of it is that after selling her daughter the I just opted to not sell her another because of all the drama that followed .. I am pretty easy going but sometimes its just not worth the headache. [OBVIOUSLY] My son Chad had nothing to to with this it was my decision as the owner not to sell her another car..This is whats a little wrong with internet, people can throw a little dirt and give their opinions around when hiding behind their computers.. If you are not happy I am in my office 6 days a week and my door is always open...I sell over 1000 vehicles a year and sometimes I need to vent also.. Our customer satisfaction is 98%,... I have never responded to a post on the internet, good,bad or indifferent, but this is so ridiculous i had to vent .... Jeff Kies

Overly priced vehicles, rude owner. They seem to care less if you buy or not. We expressed our interest in purchasing a expensive SUV. Gave them our information and waited for them to call us ..... Never did! Guess they dont need the business!! So we bought elsewhere. Would not recommend anyone to go there!!
I bought a escape from chad who was nice, had a problem jeff was very rude and not helpfull. Before he even knew what the problem was said its not covered by warrantee. Well i fixed it myself, i would NOT recommend buying here unless you dont expect good after service. i will keep giving reviews honestly.
Dont ever buy a car or anything from a guy named Chad. Especially this one. Been 3 going on 4 months now and Im still dealing wth this bs. Not getting responses when I call/email. Ive resorted strictly to email in case I need it later...stay far away! Go anywhere else. Please heed my advice. Be aware!

False advertising. Inquired about a truck and they took down the add and ignored my inquiry. Then reposted the same exact truck with a much higher price on their website and facebook market place. They made no effort to even negotiate after telling me the truck was available.
I am very skeptical when it comes to buy here pay here car lots, however I was overly impressed with the quality of service. I would highly recomend them to any one in search of a good vehicle without the hassle and gimmicks!!

Got a truck almost 1 year ago how it passed inspection I dont know we have had to replace wheel hub and sensor brake calipers with brackets all 4. rear axle rotors all the way around we were advised that it never should of passed inspection get vehicle checked out somewhere else before buying spoke to Chad yesterday at jeff kies said it is normal wear and tear we put less then 16 thousand miles on the vehicle draw your own conclusion he said I paid to much and he would recommend were to get work done cheaper

2022-06-21EDIT: THEY SOLD ME A FLOOD CAR - probably without knowledge of it, and the three crashes I found out after buying my new car, EITHER WAY Chad Kies was so helpful telling me the only way to MEND my frame back together, was to drive it three hours upstate. They wouldnt even meet me ANYWHERE. First post: first place I went, first car I saw I bought EDIT: MISTAKE, go to a mechanic and not the one they recommend (My Mechanic)! But it was ready and detailed in days, no way it passed inspection, just stuck a sticker on it! Loved my car so much! Definitely stop here before anywhere else THEN LEAVE!!!

2017-12-20Jeff Kies Auto Sales is one Awesome place to buy a vehicle! My wife and I went there looking to buy either a SUV or a Ford truck. We were greeted by Chad Kies, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel at home. He asked us how much we wanted to spend. We told him about $10K . It booked for $11,500, but they had it for sale a lot cheaper. He showed us a 2008 Ford F-150 that we loved it the moment we saw it.We took it out for a test drive, and when we returned Chad asked us how we liked it. We both said we Loved IT !!! Chad explained the financing programs available, and he got us financed in minutes. We returned the next day with our down payment, and Chad had the truck all ready to go. He had an inspection done, had it serviced, washed, and completely detailed. I cannot thank Chad enough for his promptness and freindlyness. 2018-05-22Absolutely amazing people i contacted adam about a 2014 jeep grand cherokee SRT . i sent him my info got approval in minutes and drove 170 miles one way to pick it up , i did not even see the jeep in person , i took his word for it and the 40 photos he had online , it looked exactly like the vehicle i wanted . when i arrived i was really happy to see it , it was everything and more , i am truly happy and recommend this dealer to anyone , i had a great experience , his father jeff was amazing , i also met chad as well they are al great , thank you so much i would definitely purchase another from them in the future.

2021-09-21Absolute scam of a car dealership. Sold my fiance and I a truck with rust spots painted over (which are now showing after less than a year of ownership) Came home and the truck had numerous electrical issues, only to have Chad tell us the very SAME week we bought it that it wasnt their problem. The truck smelled like gas within the first month of owning it and turns out it had TONS of problems that were just patched over to sell it. Will tell everyone we know to run far from this place. Absolutely do not trust these people.
