This mall was the place to go when I was a kid. Ive moved away since then but its still a great mall despite some of the stores changing and things being different! I was pleasantly surprised with the state of the mall and the shops available! I was hoping that the candy shop was still there though! Much love to this older but still great mall!
The JV Mall is one of the best “all in one” shopping centers in the area. It’s all here from shops, restaurants, movies. There’s even a Peekskill brewery outpost here where you can get craft beer and delicious pizza among other things. The mall is almost like a community center. They have many events and classes from movie nights, to yoga, and drum circles.
I came to the Jefferson Valley Mall for the first time in over 10 years. It has changed in many ways.. A lot of stores have moved out. Some of the classics. However, the mall itself was very clean..the stores that are open are clean and renovated. The walkways are bright and newly remolded with nice couches and chairs. They have high top tables with charging stations for cell phones....Not much open in the food court but the space is bright & clean . They have a reading nook for kids. Restrooms by the food court were clean. I believe this mall is making a comeback.I came to the Mall today to visit All in Adventures.I bought my daughter and her friend. They had a great time . Staff was wonderful and very helpful! I would definitely go back and try a different adventure. Great place for older kids.
Ive seen this mall as a kid and now as an adult. Much has changed, and it looks like some stores have switched out for the better. However, it looks like some are struggling in this tough time. Support the stores in this mall if you can so the residents in this area arent forced into online shopping and keep more people from going into unemployment.
This was the 1st time I was ever at the Jefferson Valley Mall. I found it to be very spacious and clean with a great variety of stores. There is a lot of construction here. The parking is fantastic. Im not happy that theres no Starbucks in here. Other than that there is a great variety of place to shop and Sears is now gone. They are bringing in 24 Hour Fitness in that space with a pool, so it should be dynamite. If you ever want to take the family shopping up county in WestChester, this might be a destination. Its not upscale but its nice. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
The JV Mall is mostly a ghost town. Many stores are closed. The food court only has two permanent stores (and two popups). I go to get my haircut there, as I have for about 25 years. I also go weekly, get a coffee, and sit (masked) in the very spread-out food court area while I wait 2 hours for my son to finish his bowling. They do have a lot of sales and bargains, too. And there are new stores that have opened that are more entertainment-oriented. Perhaps they can revitalize after the pandemic is over?
Even before COVID, this place was dead and depressing. You close Victoria secrets but keep open “the children’s place” seriously? Food court is trash and has no good options. The grilled cheese good truck is pretty cool though. Just close the whole mall down at this point
If you havent been to the Jefferson valley mall lately, you need to check them out! They are breathing new life and creating a community space. Cool pop up shops, seasonal events, health and wellness workshops, free kids programs and so much more. The face of retail is changing and they are making some very innovative use of the space. Great food trucks outside, too. Stone rose steakhouse is amazing. The mall supports local charities and the community! Cant wait to see what is in store for their future.
Im going to give 4 stores because I see the potential and really like what new management has been doing. My one complaint of the new additions is stone rose. Its nice but the mall needed something a bit cheaper and probably more well known to draw crowds. If they put a red Robin or cheesecake factory or something of the sort they would have definitely gotten some more foot traffic. That aside I like that theyre filling up stores and making improvements, the mall was really a ghost town for a while there.
This mall is a shell of what it used to be. Most stores are going out of business, and while exciting opportunities like the escape room, or one of a kind stores like Hudson Valley Hockey Company, and the Subway-style pizza restaurant called Home Pie are excellent reasons to stop by, the mall itself is somewhat underwhelming. They are working 9n adding new space for more stores and a fitness center, so hopefully these steps will set them back on track for their future.
Jefferson Valley Mall is an excellent place to shop at variety of stores, walk, and go to some places to get something to eat. I highly reccomend the mall for shopping and walking. Also, one of the very good stores for an eye exam and to purchase eye glasses and sun glasses Is LensCrafters.
This mall died the year they took the food court options and movie theater away. High rent costs force smart retailers to leave for higher traffic opportunities. They charge too much for too little traffic. Until they drop their rent prices you will continue to see the slow but continual decline
Very happy to see this older Mall is being upgraded and renovated. The food court what is open right now looks really nice. live Adela play space for kids so while youre eating your kids can go ahead and play with some toys in an area adjacent to the food court. I had started youre right this mall off but I think it will make a decent comeback.
The holidays are here, and such joy and sales fill the air. It doesnt matter if you shopped early or late. One thing l know 4 sure, the items you find here will be great. The JV Mall is a modest, safe, and family focused mall for all. One thats absolutely neccessary in our community !! Weve seen many changes over the years. However, Im most happy to claim, they are making big. strides. Bringing both new stores, and a new restaurant to provide.Enjoy everyone.
Its hard for malls these days. I have been coming to this mall since 1990. The current status of the mall is partially because of bad management decisions in the past. The current management although is on top of everything and have made major changes for the good, but the retail trends are against them. That said I always shop here and have very fond memories of it I wish the new management only the best.
Maybe my post would seem biased because I work here, however my review is not. I think this mall is great. The store options are great as well. I work in the mall, sure but I dont stop into the stores on my free time and love the selections and sales these stores possess. I love how theyre bettering the mall and developing more food locations. Now, all we need is a Starbucks in the mall and we will be set! Also, most people complain about food but dont look at what the spots provided offer. Who knew El Jalapeno had nuggets and fries. LOL
This mall is starting to get some upgrades which are well appreciated. Such as the game area outside of Dicks, the fitness center, Amazon locker, various nice places to sit, etc. I could be wrong but I thought I even saw a sign that said dogs are allowed in the mall? Hope the upgrades keep coming!
Went to this mall around Christmas time it was highly decorated everywhere. Went to Charming Charlies and it was my first time had a lot of good sales there. People are very nice prices are great items that are wonderful. You should go. Stop by Sears and Macys. Went to the Dollar Store. Visited other stores inside the mall. Good place to go on a cold wintry day. Are in the heat in the summer time to. A must-see go to. At lunch there too. You should go.
,Not a lot to this mall at all. Two storys of emptiness. If you are in the area and need to kill 15 minutes this is a good place to go. You might not want to make a purchase at the two spots to eat in the food court , it is a bit pricey. I was charged almost 3 dollars for a Snapple.
This mall has a solid and warm spot in my heart. Upscale enough that its an outing in its own to go, but warm and cozy enough that being there brings back so many warm and fond memories of when I was little. I sincerely hope the JV mall stays around for much much longer. Would love a movie theater brought back, though.
Easy parking. Stores didn’t seem atractive, every store where I went was empty and the employees from several different stores didn’t even answer when I said good morning, hi how are you or goodbye, they were all busy in their phones talking or texting or watching videos. The stores didn’t have a lot of interesting items (even stores where I regularly buy). I left the mall with my hands empty.
This is a nostalgic 5 star rating. It’s best days are long gone. The driving, no internet suburban culture made this place. The walking, internet suburban culture killed it. I love that they are trying to make it an entertainment center like the palisades and I hope it does well.
Hands down the BEST Customer service my wife and I has ever experienced. Before going to this Verizon store I went to other store and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me. So I Went to the Verizon store in Jefferson Valley and found out my account got suspended for NO REASON so Taylor and his partner went above and beyond to get my account back and working. They spent a total of 3 hours making sure thing went in my favor. Anytime I have a problem. I’ll definitely be going back. If I was able to give them more then 5 stars I would.
This mall has been dying for quite some time, but it looks like theyre finally revitalizing it. They opened a Dicks and Ulta, so I decided to go give it a try. Since its the holidays, they have a lot of market vendors set up, which actually makes it more interesting and busy. I hope that this move in the right direction continues.
Mall is in a state of flux. A lot of stores have been hit by less extra dollars to just go shopping because its a fun way to spend the day. Others hurt by the existence of online shopping. Further hurt by online sites offering better prices with free shipping. Its trying to make a comeback by adding Dicks Sporting Goods, a new steak joint, and others. You still cant help but feel the echo.
Fast excellent service. Had terrible water damage on my iPhone - Kat worked very hard to repair it after he replaced the screen. Of course the phone was shot . he was very honest with me about the ultimate fate of my phone but I took the phone home hoping for the best. It died completely the next day and then he replaced my phone with a good used one. Thank God I back up all data to the cloud. Nothing lost. The price was right and these guys are great. I highly recommend them. Lower level kiosk. They’re the best!Michele IovanellaYORKTOWN Heights.
Poor, poor JV mall. Such a popular mall when I was growing up in the 80s. Just a sad shell of a building now with not much going on. Cant see how a new Dicks is going to significantly change the dynamic here. The mall needs some entertainment and restaurant draws to bring back the crowds.
Ok, so you have to rate them good on yelp to get free wifi.Theres only two please to eat. One expensive Mexican food place and than A Chinese food place. The downstairs earring place by the elevator is so rude! The mall is not good! Theres a lot of empty area that have no store. This mall is so bad!
Even with their makeover the Jefferson valley mall still manages to be one of the most depressing places on earth. Nothing special here. The brand name stores have little to offer in comparison to the same stores at other malls . The security does a poor job as I’ve had obscenities screamed at me by a crazy guy not once ,not twice, but more than 3 times . He was reported but still was allowed to roam the mall . I learned later on that it wasn’t until this guy actually PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED someone that he was finally banned . The food court is disgusting. The Chinese food is guaranteed food poisoning and then there’s a little Mexican food stand with extremely limited options and a smoothie stand infested with fruit flies . Do yourself a favor and travel the extra distance to go to a mall worth walking into
Not sure how to rate a mall, its small with all the stores you expect, anchored by a Macys and Sears with an awful food court. Not overwhelming in size or crowds. Two levels. Kind of depressing urban sprawl in a lowering pile of building up a yard, where it had so little business to be, that one could scarcely help fancying it must have run there when it was a young [mall], playing at hide-and-seek with other [malls], and forgotten the way out again (Dickens).
I brought my MacBook here after another computer repair place said the mother board was bad. They got it running and said “no charge”. I decided to upgrade the hard drive. For $200 I now have a working MacBook that runs faster than before. They’ve also replaced cell phone screens for me. Fast and reasonable, highly recommend
A small local mall with decent stores. The main reason to pay a visit are the two anchor stores, Macys and the dwindling Sears. As of September 2017, the mall is going though some much needed renovations. The two escalators are closed, probably for full refurbishment and the food court is anything but. There are practically 3 eateries to choose from as the other spaces are boarded up. If your a local looking for a quick buy without having to travel far to Danbury, White Plains, or the Palisades mall then the Jefferson valley Mall would be suitable enough.
The JV mall was THE mall when I was a kid. It has since fallen on hard times with terrible anchor stores and kind of a has been feeling. Since the new renovations started you can feel the life blood returning. Hopefully they get some sort of dining in there soon then maybe it could be a destination instead of a place to run into grab a pair of running sneakers or a kayak from Dicks
Nice shopping area for walking indoors. Staying out of the really cold outdoor environment which is occurring in Westchester County. It seems as if its going to stay really cold, windy, and snowy. This year is just stuck in difficult enjoyable outdoor times? Accidentally speaking
Ive had to use their service multiple times. They used to be quite good. Now, however, some changes have been made that have made me seriously downgrade my rating. Their new Samsung guy shattered my back plate, told me it was my fault for not leaving my phone overnight, and then told me it was a 3-4 hour cure for the adhesive to take. Rude. Discourteous, broke 70 dollars worth of phone in addition to the phone repairs I apready needed, and attitude when I demanded a refund for the parts I had to prepay for 3 days in advance and got told Ill call you when it comes in. Never go here. I regret having to downgrade the rating, but decisions and employess actions have consequences. Just got an answer. Hey, sorry you dropped our rating, not sorry we broke your phone, not sorry for the bad service. Just sorry you dropped our rating. Quality response there. Real quality.
Miracle workers ! Honest , pleasant staff. Price is right . Replaced our smashed laptop screen in the time they said they would. We all know how important our laptops are ,smashed screen used to b end the world not anymore, also felt totally safe leaving that big box of info with them and knowing they would respect its contents. Thx guys
Whatever you do dont go to the nail salon. The guy there cut my toe because he was too busy speaking to the other workers and not paying attention. Every once in a while he would just stop completely on my pedicure so he could turn around and talk to them. And I dont usually complain or anything because I know it cant be an easy job but it was such a mess. Just a really unprofessional environment and very rude people. But I guess you get what you pay for.
This mall is just going down hill, adding Dicks sporting goods will not save it, and its two main draws, Macys and Sears, will probably go out of business in the next 5 years or so...and then this mall will be a ghost town, kind of like the old Dutchess or Mays mall..up by Fishkill...
ON the road to recovery, Macys and Sears are the end stores, and DIcks Sporting Goods and Ultas for makeup add to reasons to go. Victoria Secret and Bath and Bodyworks are solid performers and a family owned shoe store can give the FSWs and DSWs a run for the money. The new Stone Rose Steakhouse should be opening soon if not already, a welcome addition as they really have only had a small food court with fast food and this should help put them on the map for family dining as well as others filling this need.
I couldnt hear callers on my cellphone. Verizon told me the speaker was broken & told me to buy a new phone. I was in the mall for something else, saw Cell Doc & figured what the heck. I explained the problem & the tech immediately said the speaker moved and fixed it for $35. I couldnt be happier.
Jefferson valley mall use to be a good mall to go to in the late 90s and early 2000s.. I had a job at the mall back in 2009 till 2011 and that when I really started to see thing change for the worse, ever since Burger King moved out I knew at that point the mall was going down.
This mall is getting a major renovation in an attempt to compete with Danbury and the Palisades, most likely. A lot of stores have closed in the last few years. As part of the renovation, this mall will be getting a Dicks Sporting Goods addition, as well as a Torrid.

2022-01-10The stores that are there are good ones. Unfortunately pandemic has affected many retail malls, this one included. I’m hoping that there is a revitalization and this mall can grow and develop into a “must-visit”.

2022-01-16This mall is small compared to some of the others in the area, so not recommended for people looking to drive 100 miles just to shop at a new mall. However, if you are a local or happen to be in the area, its a really nice place to check out, as they have lots of great stores. They did a bit of a make over fairly recently. Its nicer, cleaner and just a little bigger. Some newer shops, so if you were there some time back and didnt like, may want to check it out again.

2022-06-06The mall is getting more unique stores which is cool. Lots of events. Desperately needs better options in the food court.

2022-01-04There are several new shops that have opened over the last 2 years! I love that they are replacing big box corporate stores with locally owned business and experiential places. I can now find the cutes locally made gifts or know the money I spend in the mall is actually staying in the community!

2021-06-13Movies at JV mall! Free! Have to sign up online before you go first, but vendors, food trucks, and music and Peekskill brewery has a satellite homemade fresh beer area- inside and out! ❤️💕🎈

2022-02-08I can never quite find what Im looking for here, but thats kind of ok because its nice, and small, and clean, and close to my house. I grew up in Brooklyn, so my choices as a kid were either KP or Atlantic Terminal, both of which are bad in their own special ways. This is so antithetical to my childhood experience that I cant help but love it.

2022-05-19It only has like 6 stores open throughout the whole place. Have no reason to go there being they closed down yankee candle. Macys looks outdated.

2021-12-21I had to make an exchange at the Loft and although we are in still in a pandemic and it wasnt as busy, I feel like this mall has so much potential. Hopefully more businesses can come up this way as its not a place I would go out of my way to visit.

2021-12-19The Santa experience was quite awful. Unfortunately we won’t be going back there for that. Other malls have it much more organized. The luck of information leading to a child’s huge disappointment is not acceptable this timeOf year, do not recommend.
