2022-05-16A compassionate and empathetic surgeon. He did the job where other top neurosurgical institutions (Johns Hopkins University and Barrow Neurological institute) had failed to successful treat. His admin staff (Eileen and Harolyn) were also top notch, and went above and beyond to help get me through the entire process from the initial consultation, to surgery, and post op planning/scheduling.

2022-03-15As head of Brain Tumor Center at Columbia Presbyterian, Dr. Jeffrey Bruce is far and away the best surgeon weve ever experienced. 100% sure, Dr. Bruce prevented my mother from going blind. For brain tumors, go nowhere else. He brings everthing to the table that youd want in a surgeon --- cutting edge research, decades of surgical experience, suberb medical record and recommendations. But he brings something else that you might not expect in a surgeon --- real compassion, bedside manner, and a wholistic view to make the right decision, whether that is surgery or not. No wonder he is ranked one of Americas top doctors by Castle Connolly and New Yorker. Only one issue, he is a lousy surfer...

2021-03-09I cant emphasize what a privilege it is to be treated by a world-class physician like Dr. Bruce. I have been under his care since 2012, first as a follow-up to a tumor removal in another state, then later as the tumor returned and had to be removed again. Dr. Bruce is warm, kind, and incredibly professional. When my pituitary tumor returned, I had no hesitation about having Dr. Bruce remove it. I actually apologized to him (jokingly) because my issue is so minor compared with some of the really complex brain issues he deals with on a daily basis. I look forward to my yearly follow-ups with him and his staff.

2019-05-08Dr Bruce saved my life!! I don’t remember much of his bedside manner, but my family does & they ALL loved him. He was able to reassure my stressed out mom & aunt throughout my month long stay. I will never forget how compassionate & skilled a doctor he is!

2020-12-12Brilliant!!, Kind, fast, articulate, available, first class!!! God speed!!!!when something strikes and you need a superhero to step in Dr. Bruce should be your first call! I value his lifes work and the dedication he lends to his craft! He and his team are amazing!!!! (one brilliant person told me that word is reserved for things that are truly amazing and this is one of those moments!!!!) I am thankful to know he is in my moms corner!

2018-11-11Dr. Bruce operated on me for a right-frontal lobe Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma and did an outstanding job. This was confirmed by another top hospital that said my surgery looked great. He has a great bedside manner and is a compassionate human being. Highly recommend him to anybody who requires brain surgery.

2020-09-29Saved my life in 2013!!! Saved me from a bleeding aneurysm and a tumor. Will be forever greatfull ❤️Very busy practice, if you are going to one of the top brain surgeons in NYC the office will be busy for good reason. So do not go expecting not busy And you will be fine!!!

2019-03-09Dr. Bruce operated on me more than 22 years ago for a large skull base tumor. Im still going strong! I consider myself extremely fortunate having him as the surgeon performing this highly complex operation. I owe my life to this man. 😊
