Went years ago and loved it. But have been trying to book a small party or reserve tickets for September for the past 3 months. They never answer their phone or reply to a single email. And the ability to book a table and prepay for meals isnt even working. I dont even think theyre open.
This is like... Chuck E. Cheese meets Casa Bonita (in all the worst ways). I went to the other location many years ago, and it was amazing. I was excited to go back. I paid over $200 for dinner for 2, and Ive had better food at Burger King.Im sure kids (like under 12) love this place, but its a culinary disaster. Other reviews saying its not a foodie place are laughingly understated. Chilis isnt a foodie place, but Id eat there again. Im not sure Id eat here again if they paid me. A bunch of stuff wasnt available, and the sauces all came in freaking Dixie cups. I suspect the place is kept so dark so you cant see the food well or notice hairs or something (saw multiple reviews about finding hairs when I looked to do this review... blech). Also, lets just say the food went right through me.Specifics of food... The fries were worse than cafeteria fries. Ive had better spring rolls and coconut shrimp from the freezer section at the grocery store. The blue cheese on the steakhouse burger could have been unseasoned cottage cheese for all the flavor it had. The actual burger patty wasnt worth eating. The bacon was edible, but its hard to screw up bacon. The chicken sandwich had the wrong cheese (menu said provolone, we swear it was Kraft singles), and the chicken itself was spongy and inedible. The marshmallows on the smore sundae tasted like store-bought marshmallow cream from a jar and the chocolate was just Hersheys syrup. The cocktails were poorly prepared and mixed. Im not even that picky when it comes to cocktails, but these were just really poor efforts. There was no AC, and it was stiflingly hot. Also, Id purchased haunted house tickets, but it was now closed. They gave us an extra drink each, but considering the quality of the cocktails, I wish theyd just given a refund. There was one actor roaming around the restaurant, and it just seemed like a parody of something hed seen before.Honestly, it almost feels like the original owners abandoned it during the pandemic, and its been taken over by squatters or something. They still have Christmas decorations up and were playing Christmas music. I suppose if you work retail over Christmas, being subjected to that in May might be terrifying. The bathrooms are the scariest part of the experience... because theyre disgusting. Like cute gag being hidden in the books, but seriously, Id just hold it.
I would give 0 if I could. Bad food, bad service, and dirty restaurant. The manager is rude, there was hair in my food. The bathrooms are disgusting. They didn’t even wait for us to finish or leave they just started closing down the restaurant the second it turned 9pm (our reservation was for 8:15 with an hour of open bar so they should not have let people reserve then if they’re gonna close down the exact second it turns 9….) AND turned all the lights off and started putting chairs up while we were still waiting for desert. We had to ask for dessert again (which we already paid for in our tickets and theres no refunds) and our waitress was no where to be found—she had left for the night (the tip is included in the ticket already so they don’t even care to have good service for the tip). one of the “actors” got us the dessert while the staff was just cleaning around us while we were finishing dessert then we left without anyone even saying anything to us. We also paid for an OPEN BAR for One hour for 2 people ($60 total)and then they tried to tell us there was a 2 drink limit per person which it did not say anywhere on the ticket is just said one hour open bar and again no refunds. Also the drinks are all disgusting especially the signature frozen drink. Signature glasses were included in our tickets as well which they no longer offered so then the price should be reduced or something else should be offered. The gift with the membership is just a piece of paper saying Jekyll and Hyde club member. The haunted house was also closed for renovations and it does not say that anywhere on the website before booking.
The experience was great for my kids, the host was great, kids were very spooked and happy definitely made a memory. *clears throat* now as adults I felt the food was lacking there was not much explanation as to what your receiving, I basically paid 66 dollars for a big Mac and it wasnt a 66 dollar worth burger!! All in all wonderful experience for children, needs alot more detailed explanation you lured me in with a steak and asparagus picture, and provided us with a finger food menu! Never again!! Smh
Terrible, no heat, so cold we wanted to take our food and eat it in our warm car. We pre-paid almost &400 for my daughters special 15th birthday. We were the only people in the freezing restaurant. The buns on our burgers were even cold. The waitress was really nice. I was with five teenagers and we all could not wait to leave. The experience completely ruined my daughters special birthday. So upset.
Great staff but everything else, a big let down. The restaurant is in really bad shape and the food is inedible. Prices are still sky high so if you pay premium (which really isnt fair considering the upstairs is closed now) you and your bank account will be very very disappointed. Its a shame because the business idea has a lot of promise.
Sorry but it just wasnt worth the price. We were excited to come, but afterward we felt a bit ripped off for 2 kids and 2 adults, almost $400. Food was just ok. On the plus side, the kids liked it, but they would have been shocked if we had told them how much we paid.
This was the worst food I have ever been served in New York, and the “show” consisted of 3 animatronic heads on the wall “speaking” for 30 seconds each. Not worth one dollar of the $300 we were charged. We waited outside in the cold rain for an hour past when our reservation was for, and when we met with the awful service and food we asked for a refund on the spot. The restaurant denied the ability to do so and said “it had to be done online.” When we asked for a refund online, our request was ignored and when we disputed the charge we were met with a demand letter from the restaurant. This place is a joke, if you can avoid it, you should.
We had expected a lot from this place as my partner went to the one in Times Square a few years ago. What a disappointment!!!!!Rubbish Animatronics and bad acting! Overpriced outdated! The waitress was ok, but the gentleman delivering the food was shocking. He dropped some food on table with no apology, the food was cold and looked like something they wouldn’t serve in prisonYou all had to order the same from the menu ie all starters or all desserts which is stupidThe kids chicken tenders were bland and my partners and my food were cold , they said they would sort it out, not by replacing but by putting in microwave,After a great day in NY , we were guttedAvoid and go somewhere else
Save your money and time! At $69 a person this place just was lackluster. From the Chuck-E-Cheese style animatronics to the frozen fries drizzled in subpar truffle oil ending with a Smores Sundae that was mostly marshmallow extremely unimpressed. I now see why they have a no refunds policy because we were ready to walkout. Honestly the owner needs to close this scam down and figure out something else. Bathrooms had tiles missing watered down hand soap and holes in the wall. Even the manager was walking around with his shirt half untucked like a slob. Id give this ZERO if I could and Ill head back to BeetleHouse where at least I know Im getting my moneys worth. Very very sad.
The entertainers are very funny and talented, shout-out to Monty aka Kevin ✌️ and the guy doing card tricks... Didnt catch his name, but he was also great! The club is really cool if youre into spooky and old stuff which I love. The only reason for the 4 stars is the food is okay at most. People complaining its expensive need to understand its NY.. its expensive in NY lol. Youre there for the props and atmosphere. The cocktails and drinks were really good here though. Put a generous tip for the servers and entertainers! All around everyone did a great job!! Will definitely be back.
The restaurant has had a Groupon offer for ages, so we decided to grab one. The only way to make a reservation is through an email that doesnt exist. We contacted them through their website only to be told that they do not take Groupon. Then how about you remove your listing? Absolute wreck of a restaurant.
The restaurant has offers in Groupon so I read all the fine print and decided to purchase a dinner for 4. Fine print read that reservations were required and to email the curator with the date and time to reserve. I emailed a week in advance and tired to verify everything was aligned for an enjoyable evening by calling mulitple times to the number listed on the website. No one answers at any time of day. So we went to the restaurant at 5 when they opened amd also when we were set to have reservations to find out we didnt. The gentleman at the front door told us he couldnt take the Groupon since we didnt have a confirmed reservation and proceeded to help the next guests since there was only two groups of us in there which they had no reservations either but because they were paying full price he was able to seat them. Vad business if I could give no stars I would based on the lack of professionalism of this business. Wishing the business the best but you need to treat customers better. On another note we had an amazing dinner and our evening was not ruined .
The ambiance was meh. The entertainment was meh. The entertainer had a raggedy hat. The food was HORRIBLE! There Traditional drink was weak. Let’s not forget about no heat. I thought freezing the dead was apart of the ambiance. I had to eat with my coat on. We will not return.
Paid over $600 for reservation while visiting from out of state with a guest from out of the country. There was a snow storm with 4 inches of snow they called me to say they were closing and I was told I could get a refund as I was leaving the state to go home the next day. Have been blown off ever since with nothing. Horrible customer service. Thankfully all other restaurants in the city were open and we made other plans but still out $600. would never recommend.
What an excellent experience! This place is so unique and so worth going to! Priced fairly, amazing live entertainment, great food options, and such a unique atmosphere! It was hard to leave! With so many dining options, we highly recommend this establishment! Fun to watch the walls come to life and interact with you!!
The atmosphere here is awesome. Great place for birthday events, especially for children who like things a bit creepy. They only take AmEx and cash and the prices are pretty high (you are paying for atmosphere, really). Be prepared to drop $30-40 per person to have a good meal...well worth it though. Its pretty schlocky, but, if you are cool with that, its awesome!
This review is for the restaurant. This is the only review you need to read before making a reservation at this place. We went there on a Halloween night. This meant, we had to pre-book a three course meal and pay the entire amount (over $200, non refundable) in advance. We had a reservation for 8pm. Despite getting there on time we were told that they were running behind schedule and that there were three parties ahead of us. All three were seated in the next hour or so, we were then told there were two more groups ahead of us and we had to wait until they were seated. Despite paying over $200 to pre-book the place, we had to wait about 1 hour and 20 minutes to be seated. We finally got a table at 9.20pm (for an 8pm reservation). As we sat down we noticed how full the place was and how little distancing there was.The table area was congested, there was ketchup all over the floor. The table itself was clean though. As we began ordering our food. We were told that many of the items were not available. Literally everything we wanted was unavailable as they had run out. Keep in mind, this is 9.20 pm (not even that late) on a Halloween night, which I am assuming is the biggest night of the year for this restaurant. As to how they ran out of food, Im not sure. For the appetizers, the calamari was unavailable, the shrimps were unavailable. For the desserts, half the menu was unavailable. When (after finding out that half the menu was unavailable) we asked for a chocolate mousse and a cheesecake for our desserts, the server bought out 2 cheesecakes because the mousse was unavailable too. She did this without even asking us if wed like anything else (the service was below average at best!).Now, we had entertainers drop by our table every now and then, and to their credit, they were probably the best part of the evening. They were good, had jokes and tricks. I give this place one star just because of this.Towards the end of our meal, the NYPD showed up and asked the restaurant what the capacity of the building was (due to covid restrictions they were only meant to operate at 25% indoor capacity). Turns out the capacity was 179 and the restaurant had over 70 people (atleast) in the building. The NYPD then asked for the restaurant to be shut down. Conclusion: They had run out of many items on the menu, the service was terrible, despite paying in advance, we had to wait for 1 hour and 20 mins to be seated, NYPD concluded that the place was operating illegally, was unsafe and shut the place down. AVOID! I seriously dont understand the 4/5 star reviews for this place.
I wish I had a better experience here because the food tasted so good. I came in the bathroom smelled of urine. I was seated in a place where waiters bumped me. When people passed by I had to stand up. I asked to be moved. Where I sat was cob webs. The drinks were great. The food was great but then a spider crawled on my table. They didnt offer me reduce my food. Instead they offered me free shots.
I remember visiting this place when they had the location in Times Square. It was a much more enjoyable experience back then, and the food was tasty.I recently visited this location because a friend brought me here, and this place definitely doesn’t compare to the memory I once had of it. It just wasn’t the same. It’s quite unsettling, and not because of the spooky mannequins. Honestly only giving it two stars because the bartender/waiter we had was quite amazing and entertaining.
Love this place. We always visit when we go to New York. Tastefully Macabre. Lots of spooky collections all over the place. Some animated. It reminds me of Cabinets of Curiosity. The drinks are made well and the bartenders are in character. This is not a place you go for the food. The food is bar food but if youre hungry, they will feed you. You go here for the fun and atmosphere. Be sure to check out the upstairs and the bathroom.
Id give it 3-1/2 ☆s but theres no 1/2. I went with a large group of people and they handled the service very well. We did a pre fix priced menu which included one appetizer, one entree, & one dessert, but you could choose from a small variety of different options. The food was good but the portions were too big. I know youre thinking Great... more bang for my buck, however sometimes theres a thing of too much. I would have preferred a smaller portion and a lesser price. No person could finish their food & a lot of food was wasted. The decor was themed & it was a nice change from normal. Im not sure I would go back again but Im glad I have experienced it.
Im a sucker for silly theme restaurants, but this dining experience made me feel like a true sucker. The cheesy over the top 19th century horror decor was mostly cool, even though the music was overbearing, but it was different and the staff was really trying hard to keep you entertained.Apart from that, this place gives tourist traps a bad name.1) The table was sticky dirty.2) The place was too crowded and waiters often bumped into my chair.3) The food was some of the worst Ive ever got served, and Im far from picky.4) The burger, asked for medium, got well-charred. It was literaly burnt.5) The hummus was, well as you could expect, BAD, but there are almost no non-dairy options other than that.6) The salmon was overcooked.7) By the time the desserts came I almost couldnt bring myself to even try them. The cookies were cheap reheated store bought for sure even though they say theyre freshly baked. The creme brule was puke.8) And lastly, the meal was so expensive relatively to what you eat. So very expensive.I beg of you, if you value your money and time and health, avoid at all costs.
Jekyll & Hydes was such a fun family experience. The food & service were good, and the atmosphere & entertainment left everyone with huge genuine smiles. The only time any of us even touched our phones, was to get a picture of everything going on (which is huge, being that my husband & kids are usually glued to their phones).
This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. PLEASE IF YOU READ THIS DO NOT PAY ONLINE. This is a scam. It is not the same restaurant that was in time Square. The place is dirty, the food so bad and old. The show is just one man making jokes. As soon as you get there the manager will take your ID and credit card to the back office to complete the paper work it is not worth it. Please avoid this place. In the picture you can find a bug in my water, it is that dirty
Not so great entertainment. A lot more hype than what it delivers. Grossly overpriced. There was a roach crawling around. Very disappointed and had to leave quickly. Other patrons also noticed the critters and left before even ordering. The nachos werent so bad, but the beer battered cod was horrible. Wouldnt consider going back at all.
Really fun atmosphere and the chicken sandwich is actually great, one of the best Ive had. I didnt have high expectations of the food but they certainly exceeded them.Haunted house is fun, a little short and not comparable to a dedicated attraction, but its the whole experience with the bar and the characters that you go for.Bathrooms were kinda gross, however it was packed so Im guessing the staff could only do so much
Loved it!!! My sons and I had a blast!! They come out and interact with you which is pretty cool. The food and drinks were on point!! The only thing is that the animatronics need a little cleaning no a lot, but other than that the overall experience was excellent. I definitely recommend this place especially if youre into Halloween and scary stuff.
I recently booked the tour and dinner option here for my girlfriend birthday and Im so glad I did. The Jekyll and Hyde Club was a wonderful dining experience with friendly, welcoming staff, delicious bar grub, and inspiring cocktails. I highly recommend The Transformation signature drink. The waitstaff were all exceptionally friendly and charming, the theatrics and decor were all enjoyable and tasteful given the themes. Without even being told it was her brithday, the Major made her first visit truly special, with engagement and interaction that easily highlighted our visit. I booked our package online and didnt need a check, and I requested one specifically to tip more, the service was more than worth it! I cannot thank the staff and actors at the Jekyll and Hyde Club enough for giving us such a wonderful and personalized experience.
Bought immediate access tickets for the Haunted House and we were able to get in without the need of waiting, which was great. The props were good and lighting effects were good but there were barely any actors. Most of the rooms were in pitch darkness so you cant see anything, plus there were too many people being let into the house at the same time, which personally ruined my experience. The whole experience was way too fast, in less than 10 minutes we had already walked through all of it. As for the dinner experience, it was terrible. Bad food, dirty table, bland alcoholic drinks, employees were not aware of what we paid for. Did not get the jello shots that I paid for, and the show was mediocre. $374 down the drain. Will not return and will not recommend this place to anyone.
On Valentines day my lover and I arrived at the restaurant. Upon sitting down at the establishment (dining room) there was a mouse that crawled out the crack in the wall onto the floor by my foot. I immediately jumped up and was disturbed, i spoke with a manager by the name of Jack and he stated that this is normal and that there are holes in the front of the building and that there so this is something normal to have mice inside their facility. The manager was not bothered by this. As a health care worker we see people come into the hospital because of foodborne illnesses - fighting for their life sometimes. This establishment does not have the best interest of the publics health. If the manager was okay with mice in the dining room i could only imagine what the kitchen is like, i would advise that you do not eat here as you might be at risk for hantavirus or any other foodborne illness related to mice contamination. We did not receive any services there and left immediately
Great food and entertainment - our waiter Micah went above and beyond with recommendations for shows and food all over the city. I have been coming to this place since I was a kid and had to bring my fiance here when we were in town - we will definitely be back and continue to recommend Jekyll and Hydes to EVERYONE!
I love a place with atmosphere and entertainment but being charged for entertainment regardless if you order anything kinda sucks. Also their staff needs to keep their hands off of peoples personal property. I know its all part of the show but taking my phone from me and pocketing it is not cool.
Over sold the haunted house event, wait times exceeded 5 hours (possibly longer but we had to leave). Took to fun out of Halloween. Fast pass lane didnt look much better and the up charge is substantial. Too bad looks like a cool production but the number of satisfied customers may equal dissatisfied customers, all for big profit!
We were excited for a NY Halloween. We made reservations on line. 18.00 service charge. Our dinner ended up being 115.00 each. We raced to get there on time for our 8:00 reservation. Only to stand in line for 2 hours. We finally sat down and no one came to our table to offer water or drinks for 30 minutes. We finally ordered dinner at 11:00. Appetizers we’re greasy, steak was ok. We were so tired by the end we didn’t even have dessert. It was so hokey!!!! The only salvation was the 2 guys next to us were fun. Waitperson was nice but over worked. I felt sorry for all of the employees that had to deal with so many unhappy people. Bathroom was soooooo stinky and old!!! Thank Would not do it again.
Food was terrible and way overpriced. Show was a joke. They try to counter the bad reviews with fake Google accounts that they open to give themselves 5 stars. Save your hard earned money and do not go. Food was so bad and place was so dirty that I thought Gordon Ramsey was going to walk out with his camera crew.
The energy in this restaurant is amazing, pricing is on the high end but I dont think its a place to go to for the food. Its definitely a place to go for the show. Kids menu is $15.95, salads start $17.98 and up. Dont come without cash, credit cards arent really accepted, yet nobody knew this so the manager did let us use a cc @ a processing fee of 12.9%. sadly it would be cheaper if we went to the plaza and got a money advance. Had fun and I try to stop by every time we are in NYC
Pre paid for meal and souvenir glasses and paid $350 inc tip for 5 people. On arrive ID and CC got taken off us and a paper to sign. After they had our CC we were told they didn’t have the souvenir glasses but we could have as much pepsi products as we wanted ($15 of pepsi is a lot )we were Then given a menu that is very different from the on line menu. Burger and fries and pizza are the options that’s it, they were out of everything else. The entertainment is poor, the guy walking around stands awkwardly at your table and tells very very poor jokes over and over again.Waitress was nice though hope she gets the full pre paid tip.Honestly save your time and money go else where the food and entertainment is very poor.
If I could give it 1/2 a star I would. My family and I purchased the Premium Package from the website. The menu on their website looked and sounded amazing, the choices were so appetizing I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat. I narrowed down the appetizer between French onion soup and the fried calamari for the entree I wanted the salmon with clams. When we finally got to the our seats to order they didn’t have any of the items I wanted from the menu at the restaurant. We were told that maybe the menu on the website was old and the menu in the restaurant was all they had to offer. Because we paid for the package in advance, according to the managers we were stuck with what was on the menu and they couldn’t cancel the package. I could go on and on but who would read this. The food was less than Luke warm and the soda was flat and too sweet. We had to ask for napkins, and utensils, and they never offered us water. I have never been so disappointed. Oh and before I go the bathroom was disgusting
We just went on Friday night and had the best time. We had a reservation set and part of our party was running a bit late but the management was super nice and allowed us to hold our spot until they arrived. We waited at the bar and the bartender was kind and socialable. We both tried the speciality drinks (Death By Poison and Kiss of Death) and they were delicious. Once we were able to go sit at our table the fun started. The entertainment throughout the dinner had a laughing all night. We had 7 in our party and all ordered something different. I ordered the fried chicken. We all agreed that the food we ordered was scrumptious. Make sure you make a trip to the restroom because that is a hoot and a half itself. May the odds be ever in your favor to find it. It is a fun trip looking for it. To sum up every bit of our experience here was hands down the tops. After all was said and done our waitress gave us some other similar, eclectic style places to visit while we are taking in the sites of the city. So take some time to go to Jekyll and Hyde it will not disappoint.
This was fun for the kids to get a laugh. That actor that came around to our table and interacted with us was very entertaining. I would give the food about a three star average but we did enjoy the atmosphere and the entertainment, they only except American Express and for any other credit card you must go outside to the ATM machine..... it was a little pricey and we would probably not do this again on another trip but at least I can say I have been here
Ummmmmm....... what’s with the naked (man/woman) statue in the front of the restaurant??? Kid friendly? Small, definitely different- very dry humor with old talking structures in the wall! Beware $3.00 per person for very minuscule entertainment. Wouldn’t call this a must-do. Very expensive, $15.95 for kids meals. Food “ok” not OMG wow! 4 adults and 6 kids $340 bill? No alcoholic drinks on bill either. Btw, Skeletons everywhere-go somewhere else
This place is a joke!! Paid $185.00 for some penne with lukewarm jar sauce and a 5 minute haunted house with 3 actors in it. I waited 30 minutes to get into the restaurant that I had reservations for them another 1 1/2 hour for the worst haunted house ever! Don’t wast your money. Get a slice of pizza and go across the street to the park and enjoy the drag queens instead. I would give negative stars if possible. I hated this place!!
I really wished the reviews were lying but they aren’t. It’s so bad please don’t come here. It’s really dirty like when I say dirty I mean dirty. There was used mask under are table and my fork was dirty!! Also when I was about to sit down at my table the seat was wet. The show was alright but the food was terrible and so overpriced. I order the chicken sandwich and the chicken was chewy. Not cooked at all. The food had no flavor and it was obvious it was frozen. The server was good but other then that it’s not worth it. It’s the most disgusting and worst place I have been. No joke.
The food is 1 star. The service is 3 stars. The ambiance is 3 or 4. The food here is just awful. Clearly someone in the kitchen is lacking passion. The drinks were decent and by decent I mean strong. Family had 2 burgers (preformed patties that were over cooked on a charbroiler) and the short ribs which were extremely mediocre. Sidenote: One person in my party asked if the polenta was cauliflower.
We traveled from Staten Island with 4 kids for dinner only to find out they were fully booked. They have a recording on when you call. They advise not to leave a message but to email them. I emailed them at 3pm re: a reservation at 630pm for my party of 6. No one ever responded to my email. We arrived at 625, had to wait for over 10 minutes at the host stand for someone to attend us, only to be told that they are only accepting reservations and were fully booked. The reservations are only full priced options, not allowing for any Groupons or other discounted options. We had purchased Groupons. Im not upset about not getting a reservation, but it wouldve been nice if the restaurant had responded to my email so we wouldnt have wasted our time going over there with 4 kids in tow. Apparently, we were not the only ones. The man at the host stand told me he had turned away a group that had driven up from Maryland because they didnt have a reservation. I think its terribly sad that this restaurant doesnt at least respond to emails to save people from wasting time going there.
Awful!!! Please do NOT waste your money. Our food was inedible! Chicken fingers were burnt so bad we couldn’t even eat them. Same thing for my daughter’s chicken sandwich. All of the food was bad. We complained but they just offered to bring us more bad food. No thank you!! The decor was weird and the “entertainment” was lame and cheesy. The place smells weird too. We paid extra to go through the haunted house. That was a complete joke. Such a waste of time and money. Shut this place down!!!!!!
This classic, iconic, family New York restaurant is campy entertainment at its best - its haunted by various animatronics on the walls and one Frankenstein hanging over head too! Perfect place to celebrate a youngsters birthday.Food was good, the Smores Sundae dessert especially delicious and overall good times were had by young and old alike
So I wish I could give a variety of rankings but 4 will have to do.I only knew of this place when it had the haunted attraction but at that time we did not eat there...but the attraction was awesome....as I did not remember the exact location I thought it was the same one...my plan was to eat and go into the haunted house....so when we got there we went up stairs which I remembered doing when it was in its previous location. I guess the upstairs is for party reservations??? I was weirded out when it looked completely different...we were directed to go down stairs to check in which we did....2 stars for the removal of the haunted attraction2 stars for not having a sign showing the entrance to check in....We checked in and there was a decent crowd...it was a sat night around 8ish...we only had to wait for one family to be seated and the wait was VERY short so for that I give 5 stars. The host and our waiter were both super nice....there was only one performer and he did a great job! There was a portrait next to us he adjusted it and told us it was a dead realitive of his who was shot in front of the restaurant and died...his story was more elaborate but you will just have to go there to hear it from his own mouth. Visually he reminded me of a character from Aladdin because he was wearing a hat that I had only seen on apu. The other entertainment was a talking gargoyle who insulted people and many of the horror decorations spoke like the wolf, the mad scientist, and the skeleton and they also sang together. The last thing we saw before we finished dinner was the mad scientist trying to raise Frankenstein. For the entertainment I give it 3.8 stars...5 if they kept the haunted house which they did not.The food was not terrible like several other review mentioned...my boyfriend got the pizza and it was huge and he enjoyed it...I got a hamburger....the bottom bun was greasy which I hate...and the beef did not taste like the high grade beef I buy at home....the fries were good but not crispy like I prefer them to be...I only ate some of the bun then took the burger apart and ate the insides....now I asked to see no pink at all in the burger and they succeeded 100%! The other members in my group got a spicy chicken sandwich which was enjoyed, penne vodka...which looked like mac and cheese to me and the other order was fried chicken with potatoes..my friend commented on the mashed potatoes and said they were delicious and as far as i know everyone enjoyed their food.I would give them 3.9 stars on the food. The bill was not too bad for 5 guests it was $129. But please note that there is a $3.00 entertainment fee per person on top of your bill and you still have to tip on top of that. The meal prices are around $15 to $30.For prices and extra charges I give this place 3.9 stars. On a side note they also have a bar.So in closing yes I do recommend this restaurant if you enjoy interactive entertainment...but if you are looking for 5 star food you wont find it here...if you want cheap food you wont find it here either but good luck finding much in the realm of cheap in Manhattan. I had a great time all in all and if you stop in have fun locating the bathroom...there are two but they are hidden to add to the atmosphere.Great job!
The decor is great but the website hypes it up to be more than it is. The package is overpriced for the food thats offered and while the staff was nice it definitely was not worth the money we spent. We couldnt get the special drink glasses, nor were there T- shirts (COVID was blamed for them not having these available). I went here because my daughter thought it would be cool since she went years ago with her high school group and I couldnt afford to go at the time. But what they show on the website and what it really is...is very different. I was extremely disappointed. I will not go there again. Apparently it used to be a very cool place.
A couple of my friends and I came here for a memorable experience with great food and great entertainment. PLEASE do not waste your time here and your money. Prices were ridiculous for the quality of food you get. Bathrooms were super dirty, and there was masks forks and containers on the floor. It seems as if they put in little to no effort in terms of cleaning. I will give snaps to the staff especially our waiter ceasar who was very very friendly and answered all our questions accordingly. However we came with a younger girl and some of the jokes were absolutely not kid friendly. PLEASE make sure to tell this place your age range before coming in (if you must). I unfortunately cannot recommend due to the ridiculous prices in comparison to what we got.
Amazing! This place is one of our favorite places to go while in the City. My husband and I love Universal Monsters so the Monster feature is definitely a favorite. This is a family friendly restaurant. I brought my one year old a few years back and he was so happy piling pasta into his mouth looking at all the fun characters around the restaurant. Love you guys! Thanks for always treating my family well!! Foods yum, drinks are creative and delicious. The secret bathroom is also pretty sizable and clean!!
Really awesome place with cool entertainment and pretty good food but with an extremely horrible service. There was no host to greet us then they were bringing drinks for each person at different time and in the end they said they only take amex and cash and claimed they told us before sitting us and they clearly didnt since we just had to pick a random table ourselves. A lot of potential though. Hopefully they will get it together
Hey!It was pretty fun, the restaurant was a good ambiance for kids and family. A big component of their show is improv and it makes it fun if you interact with the cast-servers. We also did the mild scare haunted house with only the animatronics and it was still pretty creepy/scary. The good could be a little better but over all ab awesome experience for any birthday, day out, or even date!
The worst over priced haunted house I’ve ever been to. We waited two and half hours in the normal line then realized all you had to do was talk to the man running the line and he let you in the fast pass line regardless of having a fast pass which took no time at all all for 5 minute which is was slowing down the regular line immensely, all for an uninspired haunted house with two actors who didn’t care to be there. I don’t feel cheated out of my money as much as this place cheated me out of my time, Good luck lasting.
Can I post a review without leaving a star? 1 star is a lot for them. This was the worse place I’ve ever been to. First off the host was also the waiter and busboy. It took 45 mins just to check in and let them know I had a reservation. Then when we finally do get seated we was charged upon booking our reservation for a three course dinner. When the waiter arrived he pretty much only gave us 2 options to choose from because they didn’t have any food. Sliders or wings for appetizers. This place is horrible smelly and the service wasn’t any better. Overall never again will I come in this place.
Good haunted house walk through, terrible service though. Horribly long wait time even WITH dinner reservations, when checking in for the reservations they ran away with our card and info for at least 10 minutes, which was anxiety inducing to say the least. When seated it took us longer than 5 minutes to be served any type of drinks, and even longer to get a glass of water. The drinks and food werent themed at all, and for what was included in the package the options were super limited. Half of the things we tried to order ended up being out so they had to change one of our party members entire order.they didnt even tell us of the dessert change until last minute. The price is definitely Not worth it for the experience. Not to mention the entertainer was just annoying us with terrible jokes our entire dinner. Probably wont be coming back here had really high hopes for a spooky themed restaurant and bar for the Halloween season.
The haunted house was so poorly done and the wait was so long that my feet hurt so bad i tripped inside the haunted house and got hurt. It was a 3 hour wait for a 5 minute walkthrough of 6 rooms with no sets and 1 actor per room some of which I thought were guests because they were so blasé. At $30 minimum per person its not work it. You can cross the bridge, go to a random farm in NJ for $10 and still have a better time and value.Didnt try the food but the drinks were $13 a pop but tasty, staff was friendly and courteous, menu is limited and disappointing.
Over priced, and I had the fried chicken sandwich but I bit into something... Grainy... Like sand... I didnt like the food to start with but after I bit into whatever that was, I didnt want to take another bite. The staff are friendly and I dont have anything bad to say about them. But the experience was not worth even a tenth of the price, the reviews misled me to believe this was going to be a fun experience.

2021-12-31Absolutely a great place to go and eat. Great environment and very participating for their guest. They have a haunted house upstairs that’s great for kids as well. Not scary but it’s something to see if they are wanting to try a haunted house for the first time.Staff was a pleasure also. They were considerate when it came to including kids and having them be part of the show!!!This is a must visit! It is a bit pricey though.

2021-09-28I loved it here. the food was amazing. I havent been to this restaurant in years. I had a very good time. Where do I start, they have outside and inside dinning? if you are inside, you will see the show every 10 minutes something talks on the wall. there is also a main show that comes on while you are dinning.it was very Kool. Its like you walling in a time capable backward the rest room is covered with books and there is also a haunted house that you can visit for an extra charge. Overall A+ for me and the drink are strong and good.

2021-12-22Great place to eat if you have children. Or you like horror movies. The whole restaurant is full of robots an statues that sing or dance or fart. Sometimes a rhino talks to you. Sometimes a dead man falls from the ceiling. The 3 skeletons play piono decently.I visit every time I am in NYC. Especially if I have kids. The delivery speed of food and the quality of food have been declining ... and my food arrived sort of cold despite the place was almost empty. Why serve cold food if you are not really busy?I will be back, hoping for the food of old days to return :-)

2021-10-15If you want to go to a haunted Chuck E. Cheese this is the spot!!! Animatronics and bad acting! Better food at Applebee’s!!! Overpriced outdated! “morty the mortician” says the same lines over & over to every table and you can hear him every time. The food is awful. Beatle house is half the size but by far a better experience x100 !!!

2021-09-05Tasty food great staff bummer no souvenir glasses on our visit. The floor show was fun and the kitschy and vocal decor was funny. Excellent haunt on the second floor and the hidden bathrooms were a hoot!

2022-04-26Was so excited to bring the kids here. I went 20 years ago.I had such great memories of this place. it was on 3 levels spread out. Food and drinks were amazing. This time it was dark dirty and crammed on first floor. We paid for the “full” experience but got nothing for what we paid. The top floors were closed for renovation. Food was really really awful. It’s sad how much it declined.

2022-03-25Bad food, horrible entertainment, waste of time and money. The show consisted of stopping the Christmas music (visited in March) for 30 seconds while a Chuck-E-Cheese style animal on the wall said something stupid. A guy who introduced himself as the Deacon, interacted with one of the characters on the ceiling (that no one could see). It was so poorly done that no one in the restaurant (2 other tables) didnt even bother to even watch. The rest of the time, the guy stood in the back of the building and stared at me. Was very uncomfortable. The wait staff were not even the least bit surprised when they asked why we werent eating and we told them the food was (to be nice) not good. Anyone that rates this place over 1 star must have never gone to a restaurant before. The only thing I can think of is friends and family of the owners were forced to write good reviews. STAY AWAY!!

2022-01-31Greedy trap of a business! The “manager” called me two times the day of our reservations to try and reschedule. We are from out of town with a tight weekend schedule. I offered to just take a refund but they said no. We showed up at our reservation time and it was freezing cold in the restaurant. They informed us that they just opened and it wasn’t warm yet. There were space heaters in various spots. No one else was at the establishment.I tried to get a refund because it was way too cold to sit in there and eat. Once again, I was told no refunds. We ordered the less than mediocre food to go. A few of the items on the menu weren’t available. The server felt bad and was aware of how absurd the situation was. She kindly moved us to a spot where she brought a space heater to sit on our table while we awaited the less than mediocre food. DO NOT BUY TICKETS ON LINE!!! JUST DON’T GO. We are out almost $200 and no apologies, except from the poor server. I would give it a negative star if It was available.

2021-04-27So much fun! Came for my daughters 12 birthday and they sure made it memorable. From talking sphinx heads that can hear you and talk back all the way to the haunted house at the end Jekyll and Hyde club was a wonderful dining experience! The staff is wonderful and the performance are hilarious!
