One of the worst NYC experiences you could have. Waited over 3 hours in line for a 5 minute experience. The line literally wrapped around the building with no management whatsoever. Bought an 8pm time slot and didn’t enter the experience until 10:50. There were people on line with tickets for later times ahead of us. The venue scanned all tickets when you were still 2 hours from the door ensuring you would be unable to be refunded. The experience itself was terrible…. A bunch of animatronics and maybe 2 actors throughout the “haunted asylum”. Please stay away and don’t waste your money. The 5 star reviews must be fake because even if the waiting experience was better there is no way anyone could give this more than two stars. Save your money and patience for something more worth while.

Very short, wish it was longer. I enjoyed the jello shot in the syringe. The actors tried but I’ve been to a scarier house before

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. MANAGEMENT IS OPERATING A SHODDY BUSINESS.I booked two adults and two children for standard seating yesterday. The standard was supposed to have certain menu options available which we were told were NOT available when we attempted to order. The premium menu also did not offer comparable options which would have had most in our party unable to eat. We asked for a refund of the on-site manager who said he doesnt have the power to offer refunds and to contact the website which I did. A Mr. Donald Finley, who I assume must be the owner, responded flat out called me a liar when I explained our situation and asked for a refund. Considering how many conversations we had with both the on site manager and server on the issue...who specifically said there was an issue with their pizza oven, its pretty bold to say Im lying with such specific people from those working. We walked out shortly after and considering there were leaks on the premises, the smell of mold and water running along the floor towards the dining room...the place doesnt look that sanitary so we probably dodged a bullet not eating here. Apparently other reviewers saw mice!! In NYC we need cool spots like what this COULD have been. Too bad its clear management has no actual desire to make this place clean and successful.

The Asylum was great and I wish it was longer. I felt like the actors did a great job, this one girl even chased me into the other room! ha! The only thing I had a problem with is how its organized entering the asylum, me and my boyfriend were definitely scammed into buying the immediate access tickets and paying more for no real perks. The immediate access tickets DID NOT give us immediate access. When we arrived on time for our 8:30 slot we STILL had to get in line, which they told us was for the Immediate Access ticket holders. The line next to us was for regular tickets. The woman at the door was basically letting a group from each line one at a time. She even told the other guy working there in front of us and he told her she cant be letting the regular ticket holders in front of the immediate access ticket holders but she said she didnt care, it was all for the right scare she said and the Right experience for everyone. So they were letting people in the regular ticket line inside that even just got there while all of us immediate access people had to watch. We all wasted an extra $20 for what?? Me and my boyfriend luckily were at the top of the line but I felt bad for all the immediate access people behind us. They SHOULD be letting only the immediate access people in first for their time slot and and then the regular ticket holders afterwards. Just buy the regular tickets. Its definitely a scam. Wish I could get my $40 I paid extra back for both tickets I paid for.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.i bought 4 tickets for “immediate access” and i had to wait over an hour to get in, the time of your reservation does not matter. The regular ticket had more than 300 people waiting in line to get in. The hunted house experience is a joke, small room and just computer noises and less than 5 MINUTES.So you’ll make a line to get in and all you get is a dark room with computer noises.Again, do not waste your money and time.WORST HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE.

I bought tickets for my friend and I for a 7:00 pm slot and did not go in until 10:30 pm. We waited over three hours in line, since they don’t give refunds. Asked the guy in the front why we were not being let in it we have a reservation and he said “time doesn’t matter”. If that’s the case, why even let us choose a time. The actual haunted house was so short, but the actors did a good job. But, overall huge pass.

Its a joke. You buy a ticket for a specified time at three price tiers, but when you arrive it makes no difference what time your ticket was for. You line up in one of three lines for the ticket tier you bought. The longest being the lowest price tier that wraps around the block and doesnt move. While standing in that giant line you can see all the customers who exit. Their reviews being its super short, and lasted 5 minutes. Spoke with others who said they had been waiting 2 hours already and werent even close to the entrance. Another who said they waited an hour despite paying for the higher tier ticket which allows you to skip the line. I waited 45 minutes and maybe moved 5% of the length of the line before leaving. The scariest thing about this is how many people are being scammed year after year. Save your money and just talk to people waiting in line in the cold rain, their stories will frighten you more.

This was my first time there tonight and omg. It was great. Im still shaking from how scary it was. The haunted asylum was fun, affordable, and totally creepy. The wait time to get in was reasonable and the staff was amazing. There were plenty of live actors, plenty of tools and props to scare you. Trust me, you wont regret going to the asylum.

Would rate it zero stars if i could, wait alone was 3 hours long for less then a 5 minute walk through where it was so dark i spent more time running into walls then seeing actors. The food at the restaurant sucked. Also while needing to use a bathroom. The employees had no interest in directing me, only saying the second door on the left failing to mention the Bookshelf was fake and that was the door. Speaking of the bathroom, horrible cleanliness. Trash was everywhere, flies and moths circling me, doors were broken. Simply just disgusting, unsanitary, and unsafe.

Easily my favorite place to go to in nyc! ive never bought an immediate access ticket and have never had to wait in line! the scares are good, and they manage to use animatronics to their advantage! highly recommend :)
