I had an excellent experience with Gary today! He was very knowledgeable on different styles and options for all the sectionals and sofas we looked at. He was also able to give us estimated shipping times for specific pieces which helped us decide what would fit our needs. I ended up getting the perfect sectional for my new livingroom. Garys courteous and professional demeanor really sealed the deal for me! I cant wait to receive my new couch. Thanks again Gary! :)
Cynthia took care of my mom and I when we visited the Carle Place store on a Holiday Weekend. After giving our criteria, she was able to point out some options for us. What really made a difference for us was how she understood that the fabric color was very important and so too was our budget. She allowed us to take our time looking at our options without hovering too much. We were about to leave the store when she pointed out a sofa that was in our desired color, was in stock for immediate delivery AND was on supersale that day if we willing to be flexible on the size of the sofa. It checked all the right boxes so we ended up making the purchase right away. Thanks to her we will finally get a quality sofa that we had been hoping to get.
Be VERY AWARE buying from them. I purchased a loveseat & ottoman online that was “suppose” to be in stock. After I purchased it they informed me that is will take 6 weeks to deliver. After calling they definitely could not help me and stated that I can’t get a refund. 10weeks later when they FINALLY got it in stock it is taking an additional week to deliver. I wanted IN STOCK furniture to avoid this but clearly it didn’t happen. Will not patronize this business again and if anyone asks me I will tell them not to n/c of the headache & lack of customer service
Their customer services were impeccable. They were tentative to us and were very knowledgeable about the product. Our Rep. Devi was pleasant and patient, as we was indecisive, but she showed us various pieces as we tried to make our choices.Update:As you see this review was written five months ago and I am still waiting for my TV stand. The other furniture pieces that I was told was in the warehouse and ready for delivery at the time of purchase came almost four months later. Today, I have had it with the nonsense. After promising a delivery between 9-11am (after they called yesterday evening to rescheduled from 2pm), I called the delivery company at 11:15 ti check on the delivery and was told they will call me back in two minutes. This time Gary called me to let me know that the truck broke down again. This was the 3rd time I was told in this process that the truck broke down. Since the time of this purchase, I was scheduled delivery about 8 times and there is always an excuse when I call to check on the delivery that there is a problem. I took time off of work multiple time to receive this delivery and nothing came. Devi and Gary you guys did me wrong.
June 2021: Stay away or you will be disappointed and sorry! I am experiencing such a hassle that I regret doing business with Jennifer Furniture. I have experienced frustration and Unprofessionalism. It’s over 16 weeks and I’m still waiting for delivery. There’s no administrative assistance that you can seek what so ever and you will most likely get the run around. You will be told that someone will get back to you but you will end up having to call back yourself. There seems to be no interest in you once they get your money. I wished I had seen the reviews on Consumer Affairs and BBB before making my purchase. I will never buy from them again. Buyer BEWARE!Update: 8-27-2021The following complaint filed with Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs:Purchased furniture for $4,844.94 on 2-20-2021 from JenniferFurniture in Carle Place and was told 16 weeks for delivery. I havenot received the furniture and it is over 6 months. They havegiven me many excuses like sofa fabric not in stock, componentto recliner chairs are on backorder, it should be in their Warehouse in a few days and now that someone will call be to schedule delivery for possible delivery next week. Of course I never received the call and dont want it at this point. All of the lies to keep stringing customers along even further. I believe I have been patient and reasonable long enough and I just want a refund at this point. I am no longer interested in there business. I am frustrated and tired of the stories and run around. They even told me in June 2021 and also last week that I am not in my right to get a refund once they have started making the furniture. I want no further dealings with Jennifer Furniture and would like my money back. They can keep their furniture, I dont want it after all this time. They told me that I must pay in full back in February 2021 which I did and promised a delayed delivery in 16 weeks due to COVID-19 but I have gotten nothing but ignored calls, excuses, poor treatment and an aggressive call back from Manager Fred who comes off bullyish. I am done dealing this company and would never recommend them to anyone.
Do not buy from this store. Waited 12 weeks for couch delivery (that was expected). Scheduled delivery between 1:30 -5:30 pm. At 5:28 they called to say they will be 2 hours late. We cannot accept deliveries after hours in apartment complex. The next delivery date they offer is another week away and even then they will not guarantee a delivery time. So now I have to waste another day off and they couldn’t care less. They have zero customer service. They get the money when you place the order so do not care at all what happens after that.
Had the best experience at this location! We were helped by Cynthia who was absolutely amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick the most perfect sets. We ended up buying two bedroom sets that are wonderful quality and for a great price. I will definitely be going back here for all my future furniture. Overall, 5 star experience!
I never write reviews, but I’ve had such a terrible experience here that I feel inclined to share. I ordered a bed back in September and was quoted 11-14 weeks due to COVID delays. Well, it’s been over 16 weeks and I’ve made dozens of calls to both Jennifer Furniture, as well as their warehouse as they instructed me to. They still have not provided me with any updates other than “it shipped from the manufacturer and will arrive any day now.” I understand there’s delays given the pandemic, but I really just want some kind of status update. Almost 4 months and it’s still not here. Never again... will be going elsewhere to furnish the rest of my new home.
Gary (1) was amazing, attentive, friendly and extremely patient with me. I had a lot of requests and he was accommodating and understanding the entire time. Gary listened to me when I explained what I was looking for and was very knowledgeable about each piece in their store. Nina is the sales person who helped us. She has a sharp eye for fabrics and was a low pressure, which is what we and most people appreciate. We needed bedroom furniture.Nina also showed us bedroom furniture which we did not go there for. she is a great listener and asks the right probing questions and showed us a bedroom set. BINGO!!! We bought Both the bedroom set and the bedroom set. Way to go Nina!!!!
This past week I purchased a leather sleep sofa couch from Jennifer Furniture in Carle Place. My design consultant was Gary. Over the past 20 years this is the fourth such couch I purchased from Jennifer. I bought this one to replace the one I had bought about 8 years ago for my basement because the leather (vinyl composite) started to crack and peel off. I was debating between fabric and leather but ultimately chose the leather because its real leather and matches the other pieces (love seat and chair with ottoman that were all part of the original set). I still have the other furniture (fabric) purchased over the past two decades which is still in great condition.After my initial visit to the showroom, I went to every other showroom in the area. Finding nothing comparable in looks and price, I went back to Jennifer and spent over an hour with Gary. He was very engaging and we negotiated a very reasonable price. He also work very diligently to make sure that I could have my old couch removed and the new one to be delivered at my convenience. Brittnay and Dustin were awesome! They were patient and weren’t pushy like most sales people I’ve encountered. They gave me a great deal and found my husband and I exactly what we wanted. Make sure you ask for one of them and I guarantee you’ll get what your looking for at the right price. They also have some cool giveaways so ask for that too lol. I waited to post this until I got my delivery because I thought it was to good to be true but my whole experience was amazing. Furniture looks great. I highly recommend!
We had a very good shopping experience, and picked out the couch we wanted with custom fabric to be delivered in 6-8 weeks. Although it took a little longer than anticipated to get the couch made, when we called the store and talked to Gary, and we let him know that we were having a baby very soon, he made some calls and got the couch delivered the NEXT DAY. The delivery guys did a great job (they had to take the couch apart to get it down to our basement), and the couch looks beautiful. Thank you, Gary!
Ordered couch on 3/7 it’s 5/24 and still no couch almost 3 months later when I was given a 5-6 week delivery estimate. I understand stores are closed during the pandemic, but to have zero customer services reps available via email or phone is completely unacceptable. How would this company owner like living without a couch for 3 months during a time when you can’t even leave your house? The fact that I can’t even get an update on my order that I prepaid for in full is ridiculous. Stay away.
I walked in and was greeted by Brittany at the Carle Place location in NY. She was extremely pleasant and helpful and although I came in to browse she gave me a great price and I purchased my dream dining room set right on the spot. I appreciate that she was so patient with a person that doesn’t make quick decisions but Again she gave me a fair price and I could not walk away. The salesperson helped us, although this was my first time buying furniture with Jennifer Convertible, what puzzled me was that I have not received my merchandise and they have already sent me my first bill within 5 days, with Raymour and Flanigan, you would not get a bill until they deliver the merchandise, one week later I still have not receive a date when wouldThey be delivering my sofa, they advised me if I do not hear from anyone to please call the store, it’s a bit frustrating.
Horrible service, bad manager, poorly run! We ordered a couch from this Jennifer Convertible on Carle place. The store manager, Cynthia, sold us the couch on day after thanksgiving. Not only was it NEVER delivered, I have left 5 different messages for Cynthia who has never called us back. Every time we get the run around, and at this point, I am sick of it. We will get our money back from this place through the credit card company. They are a waste. I hope they go out of business - I will NEVER buy from them again. Stay away from this place!!!! And Cynthia, if you are reading this, I hope you realize you do not treat customers like this. We were your best friends when we bought the couch - I hope they demote you.
Me and my wife pleasure a chair waited for over 6 weeks to be told that the chair company no longer works with them I wondering why but they still take our payment plus delivery which was 175 and I live 15 minutes away.No phone call to tell us why.The store manager seems nice but probably high from prescription pills is ready to sell you the showcase items when dealing with colored people. When I called in this rude guy picks up the phone (he should be working at a Police precinct) extremely rude and Obnoxious. STAY AWAY everything is over priced. Even though the amount was returned to me my credit score dropped because I already was making payment on the couch so I wouldn’t be backed up. When I ask the STORE MANAGER for a discount on a next item she said she will try to work with me but not sure everything was already over priced and she didn’t care. No wonder ONLINE SALES are Destroying companies like this......
I read all the bad reviews about this company but I saw something in an ad that I thought would work good in my home, so I decided to give them a try. Well the service I received was fantastic. The salesman Charlie was great. He helped me layout my room and did not try to sell me more furniture that I needed. When we were working on the floor plan, he was called away by another customer he was working with and Charlie sent one of his mangers Vladimir to check on me. I placed my order and since it was a custom order from a company called Craftmaster I was told it would take approximately 6 weeks. Well six weeks and two days later it is in my home and looks great. Cant thank Charlie enough.
After going to Macys Furniture and Huffan Koos in search of a couch and loveseat, we struggled with unenthusiastic sales associates and finding anything that suited our needs, quality or style. Jennifer Furniture at Carle Place had such wonderful choices and with the help of the lovely Cynthia we were able to choose and customize a beautiful herringbone durrable cloth couch accented with studs and firm yet comfortable foam cushions. Cynthia was extremely helpful, thorough, kind, patient and respectful. Not only did she make sure all our information was correct but also helped in giving great stylistic opinions, without ever being overbearing, to make sure our choice of accent pillows were perfect. My family and I are so appreciative of Cynthias assistance especially after a very long day of disappointments. We opened a Jennifer Furniture card with 12 month financing and delivery is 6-8 weeks, which is fine for us since we are in no rush. To top everything off, Cynthia gave us a vacation voucher for a free 2 night stay at any hotel in the states for 4 or a free cruise for 2, valid for 12 months. So in entirety we are very satisfied with our whole experience.
My wife and I just bought a house and had been searching for the perfect bedroom set for weeks. After searching dozens of furniture stores, we decided to visit Jennifer Convertibles. We were greeted We browsed a while and right before we were about to leave, we saw it. Benny assisted us and was great from start to finish. After a difficult closing on our new co-op, it was such a pleasure to meet Nina. She was warm, helpful and professional. I found a beautiful dining room set in the showroom, and then saw it another store online for less but Mina was such a pleasure to work with, we came back to her, and she happily matched the price. I highly recommend Jennifer furniture, Carle Place and if you stop by, look for Nina!
Came into the store multiple times before purchasing something. Staff did not pressure us to buy anything, encouraged us to look around and come back when we were ready. Navdeep, sales rep is really pleasant, worked with us to get us the best price possible. Looking forward to getting our couch set next week. Thank you! We will be back.
Navdeep was very helpful a did a great job with helping me find my Monti 3 seat recliner leather sofa and recliner chair. She was able to get my color selections and exactly what I wanted fro a great price. I went from store to store, and no one else was able to get me what I wanted. I cannot wait until it arrives! Updating my previous experience..Its been 3 months and I still do not have my couch! I have recieved no calls from the company regarding my order. I have had to make the calls each time getting a new date and no explanation. The new date is January which will be 4 months. Need less to say I am beyond frustrated . I really like the couch and have been extremely patient. But this has ruined my original experience. I called today and the service rep. Completely ignored everything I said. They will treat you well long enough to get a sale. After that good luck!!
My family and I visited the store two weeks ago. We were browsing for furnitures for our new home. We were helped by Ms. Navdee who turned out to be an excellent sales associate. She was patient, kind, and nonjudgmental to our unique situation. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She worked with our plans and budget to maximize the most use out of our new dining/living room set. She provided top notched service and, went above and beyond her scope. As first time customers of Jennifer’s furniture, we were more than delighted with Ms. Navdee dedication and we highly recommend this store.
Staff was very helpful and flexible towards what we wanted and we were able to get help as soon as we walked in the doors. Navdeep was very detailed and thorough in explaining the options we had along with care packages dedicated to specific furniture pieces. She did an exceptional job.
This is the WORST store and staff I ever dealt with. I purchased a sofa and love seat over a mo th ago. Paid $250 for as they say White Glove delivery. My order was scheduled 2xs. I took off from work and on both occasions I get a call saying out of stock. I still have not recieved it.Are you kidding me? All the very rude saleswoman Navdeep and manager cynthia says is why are you complaining, we gave you a good price Unccaptable! I filed a complaint with the Better business Bureau and filed a claim with small claims court . Lets see how they enjoy having to answer and appear STAY AWAY!
I take my 5 star comment back this furniture store is a nightmare we are still waiting for our furniture buyer beware . I am still living out of boxes for almost 30 weeks place is a joke it may be close to a year before you get your furniture. When I call them asking about where it is they say they will call you back and almost never do. Nothing is made in USA LOOK ELSEWHERE support USA place is still using covid as an excuse. We went to Raymour for a couch and we were sitting in it in 1 week.
Shopping for a recliner for my mom has been daunting until I walked into Jennifer Furniture. I live in Manhattan and want my mom to feel comfortable when she comes to visit. From the moment I walked into the store in Carle Place, NY, Brittany made me feel welcome and understood. She was patient and brought me directly to the perfect chair! My apartment is light and bright so I wanted a chair to match my decor. The Dawson White Leather Power Recliner will look amazing and be the perfect chair for my mom!
I used them for a few years now. Furniture fell apart as soon as it got to my home. They sent someone over to fix the issue so I gave it a pass.It wasn’t even 2 months before my living room table started to have pieces of wood breaking off, and color scraping off. I called them and they said that they would come take a look and they never showed up. We moved now so I gave up. We’re paying very high prices and interest rate for horrible quality.

I had ordered a sofa and two club chairs to be delivered. When the delivery men arrived I could see that they were not going to be able to get the couch through the foyer. However they insisted and in the interim ripped up the sofa scratched up my recently installed new hard wood floors and damaged the wall. I notified the store manager and the sales associate Gary. He told me to send photos and they would reimburse me for the damage. One year later and no satisfaction. Totally would not recommend. Terrible service.
Was worried going in, happy going out. Cynthia made our experience with Jennifer Furniture painless, helped us with all our questions and most of all save us hundreds of dollars, so much we were able to get additional room worth of furniture. Ask for her when coming in.
I walked in today like a deer in headlights. So many choices of couches :color and fabric, sizes , manual vs electric. Cynthia was a dream to deal with. She showed me the ideal couch for us now that our children have grown. I highly recommend coming here. Parking right in front was so convenient
I purchased a couch from the salesman Ben. At first he seemed nice, but anytime I asked his a question he got a little nasty with me. I almost walked out just because of that, but I really like the couch so I ignored it. After paying for the couch in full, I was told 2-3 weeks for delivery. Fast forward almost 2 months later, I called the store to see why my couch still hasn’t been delivered. The first time I called, I️t was the same salesmen Ben on the phone. He told me he doesn’t know what’s going on. That I️ should call when a manager’s in or cancel. He was Very rude, and never forwarded my message to the manager. I called the next day and the manager found out that the color I wanted was discontinued, and he would refund my money. It’s crazy how if I didn’t call, I would still be waiting for this couch that was never being made. There’s were no apologies about the situation, worst customer service ever. Definitely never shopping here again.
Will never do business with them, delivery took over 3 months, when furniture arrived there was a rip on couch arm. Took another month to get fixed, there was no option to get new couch that I paid for.BEWARE: if furniture arrives damaged, just refuse delivery on the spot otherwise you will end up with a piece of furniture that they have to come into your home and fix. Very disruptive for me and not acceptable.Oh and by the way, if you want to cancel your order even before it arrives, they want to charge you restocking fee- illegal business practice.They do not respond to your inquires in the store, managers are useless cant do anything for you and they try to make all kinds of excuses about promised delivery when its unacceptably late.
I recently bought a lot of furnitures at Jennifer Convertables located in Carle Place, NY and I had terrible experience.It took the company 4 times to deliver my furnitures and even so, there are 2 items that are still missing at this point. When the company calls to schedule the time for the delivery, I asked them to confirm what items being delivered to make sure they have everything, they told me that the only make the call, they dont know what items are being delivered so you dont know what youre getting until they actually show up at your house.First, when we went to the store to schedule the delivery, we scheduled it for Friday 9/23/16. However, the store manager Cinthya changed it to Sunday 9/25/16 and didnt bother to call and tell us.The 3rd time they made the delivery, which was supposed to be the last time, we were still missing a bed and a mirror. When I called the store to ask about it, the store manager Cinthia blaimed me for not telling her what was missing. I told her that everytime they deliver, there was a list of the items so she should know what had been delivered and what was still missing. She was rude and argumentative and at some point during the conversation, she hung up the phone on me. Then she told me when I called back that she didnt know where the missing items were at that point. She said she would find out the next day and get back to me which she never did. Throughout this conversation, she kept repeting that it was my fault that she didnt know about the missing items. I had to call the store back to talk to someone else who found out that the missing items were transferred to the wrong warehouse. When I called customer service to complain about this store and how the store manager conducted business, I was promised a call from the Regional Manager John to resolve the issue. Well, 4 days later I still have not heard from that manager. Obveiously, customer service is not important to him. Most of the companys representatives we talked with were rude.Throughout my life, I receive excellent customer service and porr customer service and anywhere in between. However, Jennifer Convertables really broke the records for me in terms of poor customer service. I dont usually rate my experience online. However, Ill make an exception this time and give my rating on this experience. I dont want anyone to experience what I had to go through with Jennifer Convertables.
Terrible customer service. I ordered a couch from here and they quoted me 2-5 weeks. It has been five weeks and still no couch. I call to ask when and they say that they dont know. I ask to speak to a manager and now he tells me another 2.5 weeks. In their book thats probably another 5 weeks. Horrible customer service, horrible time management. - UPDATE: order has been cancelled apparently 1 week ago and still no refund. Cant get the manager on the phone either.
Very poor customer service. Takes forever to get a piece fixed if there is something wrong with it. Was delivered a dirty, broken box with the replacement part in it. The box was fashioned together with two toilet paper boxes and tape.Took 3 full months to resolve my issue with customer service. They were unconcerned with my issue and every step of the process took forever to complete.
John Gard the District Manager is a lying, low life person!!! He offers me a job, and I give my two weeks notice to my current job. Then when I am about to start he tells me that he gave the position to someone else. His a very dishonest, low class person. The overseas owner should get rid of him and hire someone with class and dignity!!!
Very very bad customer service. they put lots of pressure on you. we cancelled our order with in 30 minutes and they put 2 charges on our debit card. one for 925 dollars and one for 977 dollars. my bank will take care of them! do not go here. very very very bad place.
Don’t buy whit this company be aware they scam people I pay 1500 for my sofa bed and this wat happen after 2 year those couch they not leather is like a thin coat of leather paint terrible material and when I call to fix the problem they not even care the told me to get warranty when I buy and !!!a sofa is not supposed last 2 year !!!stay away
***Stay away from Jennifer Convertible or Jennifer Leather stores...their quality of furniture is horrible!!!..I bought a sofa from them about 3 years ago..within 3 years the sofa started to peel..I payed for the guardsmen warranty..and Jennifer Convertible doesnt want to help me and neither does guardsmen warranty...pass this store up or ull eat $800 for a sofa like I did...I hope this company goes into bankruptcy..
SOME OF THE SALESPEOPLE AND MANAGER ARE VERY IGNORANT AT THIS LOCATION!!!!I OVERHEARD THEM TALKING ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS. THE **MANAGER** CALLED A CUSTOMER **STUPID**. SHE DIDNT REALIZE I WAS WALKING INTO THE SHOWROOM FROM THE BACK ENTRANCE, AS SEVERAL OF THEM WERE BEHIND THE DESK BASHING CUSTOMERS.MY OWN EXPERIENCE WAS NOT A GOOD ONE EITHER!!!! THE STAFF THOUGHT I COULD NOT AFFORD TO BUY FURNITURE BECAUSE THE CREDIT APPLICATION GOT DENIED. HOWEVER, I DID SAY I WOULD PAY CASH. ONCE I RETURNED A WEEK LATER WITH CASH, NONE OF THE SALES PEOPLE WANTED TO HELP EXCEPT FOR 1 GENTLEMAN. AS HE WAS TALKING TO ME, ONE OF THE OTHER STAFF MEMBERS INTERRUPTED OUR CONVERSATION BY MAKING HAND GESTURES, (INDICATING TO THE PERSON NOT TO WASTE HIS TIME WITH ME). IVE NEVER SEEN SUCH IGNORANT JUDGMENTAL PEOPLE RUNNING A SHOWROOM.I WILL PURCHASE WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE FROM NOW ON, AS I HAVE IN THE PAST.................... I HOPE UPPER MANAGEMENT SEES THIS!!!!

2021-09-22I originally posted about the great experience we had shopping with Gary at this store. I still stand by that review (although I have heard he is no longer with Jennifer Furniture). Gary was very patient and helped us make the best choice for our family. However, our experience with Jennifer since that time has been awful. The furniture arrived on time and was delivered quickly. The delivery men demonstrated the power recliner and cleaned up all the packing materials. That is where the trouble began. Only an hour after the furniture was delivered one of the power recliners began to malfunction. The button was misaligned and the recliner keeps reclining even after you stop pressing the button because it sticks. Then it does not return to the upright position. We immediately contacted customer service for repairs. The next morning the other recliner completely stopped working. Due to Covid it took several weeks to receive service - this included Jennifer canceling the appointment once at the last minute, after I had taken the day off to be available. When the technician arrived, he was able to repair the second recliners but did not have the proper parts to repair the first recliner. He also advised that the entire section of the sectional (there are 3 pieces) needed to be replaced because the frame was damaged. In fact the seats have been progressively sinking since we got the furniture 6 weeks ago. I have repeatedly requested that the damaged portion be replaced and I have repeatedly been told that the store manager must contact me regarding that. It has been over a month of phone calls and emails to Jennifer and to date I have never heard back from the manager. I am very disappointed with the level of service that I have received in this matter. It seems the store is only interested in getting their sales and could care less about treating customers with respect. Too bad they will never get my money again and I suggest you dont give them yours either.

2021-08-29Cynthia is a great salesperson. Very detailed and helpful. Respectful and kind. I made my purchase and was in and out of the store Im 15 minutes. Love that. Im not a widow shopper. I told her what I was looking for and she took me to the perfect selection. There was no need to look around. Thank you Cynthia
