Not A Pregnant Friendly Store. My First Time Here And Had A Big Order To Place. I Wasn’t Aware This Was A Warehouse Setting So I Was In Complete Shock. I Got Some Help From Some Of The Employees When Asked For Cases Of Big Things But Noticed They Grew Tired Of Helping So I Tried To Finish On My Own. I Was Told By One Of The Employees That I Can Ask The Front Desk For Help. So I Did And The Woman Said I Have To Pay For Help. I Didn’t Really Understand Why But I Guess That’s How They Run The Place. I Declined To Pay Since My Order Already Costed Me Around 600$ . I Ended Up Filling Up An Entire Cart Full Of Items & Stocking My Own Car With My Items. I Guess That’s All The Motivation I Needed. I Ended Up Very Dizzy And Lightheaded After But Lesson Learned. At Least The Manager Let Me Get A Free Replacement Milk, After One Of My Milks Fell On The Floor And Broke From Trying So Hard To Push The Extremely Heavy Cart. I Will Never Return To This Place.
TRUCK DRIVERS-- They work store hours so I think close by 6pm maybe earlier. Idk honestly :) Appointment only and they were super nice to me!! Got me unloaded super fast. There is over night parking on the street in front of the docks on 19th st!! Busy street! Try and beat the traffic!! ! Good luck drivers... I hope this helps!On another note they have great prices on stuff inside the store! No complaints!
On August 1st, 2021, I went here to return the goods. On the same day, the manager told me that I was not allowed to return the goods. When I asked him the reason, he didnt explain to me and tell me get fuking out of my store,then he took my member card and threat me he will cancel my membership,that is how they treat customer。
Very rude management. They have no regard for customers and their needs. Every time I go there is a loud argument between a customer and manager. Management should be reprimanded and retrained by corporate. Stock workers are mostly friendly and helpful. Cashiers always mess up and charge wrong price (case price instead of unit or duplicate charge) so make sure to check your receipts. If you find a mistake get ready to wait on another line to get it corrected. Lines are long. I sometimes spend 20 minutes just waiting on line (no exaggeration). Prices are not even good, at least for the items I buy. If you are a restaurant or grocery you are better off using a distributor that delivers. You will pay the same amount or less for the same items but also have them delivered. If you buy chips, check for ripped bags and mouse/rat droppings. Id go to costco but the parking is even worse than Jetro.
I am a chef with a budding business in New York and I visited Jetro this afternoon in hopes of finding information about membership and price items to patronize the business in the near future. After receiving great service from all the associates in the store, as I walked out I was accosted by someone who I was later told was the owner and accused of stealing.He snatched the item that had been in my hand since I walked into the establishment away from me and called for a security guard who was not at the door when I walked into the store 45 minutes prior to verify that the item was mine. Of course the man didn’t recognize the item, nor did he recognize me because I’d been in the store for nearly an hour. And I am positive that he wasn’t there when I walked in the store, nor was anyone to greet me, because I walked in very confused and in search of assistance to no avail!After presenting the business card of the store where I purchased the item that was in my hand, and a very heated exchange in the lobby, my item was returned to me and I left. I have NEVER stolen from a store or been accused of such. I am disappointed in the way Jetro handled this situation and will discourage anyone from patronizing not only this location but the establishment entirely. He didn’t ASK me anything, he reacted and immediately used rude, physical force. I am disgusted.There are local restaurant supply stores that care much more about their customers in the industry city area and I would highly suggest using them instead—ALWAYS.
Very stressful i saw rats and mice with the food not many registers open made a long trip for nothing because they didnt have what i needed most workers are rude what lines were so long i left what bought what ever you do dont shop here its the worst if l could give zero stars i would
I do understand many of the less than complimentary reviews here. it is sometimes difficult to get help finding something, and there are a few rude and distracted(it appears that they are not treated all that well, but thats just a guess) employees, but by and large, I have found that if you are polite and ask nicely, you will get a positive response from most of the employees. And, I have gotten to know 3 or 4 employees who do go out of their way to be nice.The biggest complaint I have is the lack of available cashiers. They seem to have plenty of stockers and equipment operators, but when you are ready to check out, there are two, maybe three cashiers out of about 14 registers, and the wait is over half an hour. getting you checked out efficiently just doesnt appear to be a priority to the management.And, some of you complaining about the employees should be careful throwing stones in that glass house. I have also run into several clueless and rude customers there. Dont hit me in the heels with your cart, Mister. Its not going to get either of us out of here faster. Yes, the place can be a zoo, but some of the customers are responsible for that atmosphere, as well.oh...and whats up with the guys who want to help you with your stuff(for a tip)? Do they even officially work here??
To start with, they were short staffed in terms of cashiers. I think thats outrageous - how can they not expect long lines and staff more people accordingly? Outside of that, this is the most rude, inconsiderate staff I have ever had to deal with. My cashier actually told us that he would move as slowly as he pleased. And we were completely ignored by the two managers that walked by. I usually go to Newburgh or Port Chester, so it isnt unrealistic to expect good service. Ive seen it before at other stores. Hire better employees.
Ive been a customer for almost 20 years now, but I haven’t been very happy lately with everything that’s going on in there, they have way too many people working making it really hard to shop around all over the store, half of the staff is very rude they forget that the customer comes first also one of the biggest problems I see with this location lately is parking, they need to do something about their parking facility ASAP it’s really hard to find a spot when everyone just park their vehicle as they wish because there are properly marked lines, many of my friends complain about the same issues so I’m definitely sure that it’s not only me,I hope they do something about these issues soon so we can all give you those five stars back.
Honestly if I could give this place no stars I would, they have the worse staff members theyre very rude and they have no kind of respect for their costumers, every person that goes in there goes to spend money and they treat them as if they go there to beg for merchandise. The cashiers are not courteous what so ever, no even a thank you for shopping here, I get that retail can be frustrating at times but not every costumer is the same. I think they should really fix that.
They loterally have everything from soup to nuts and not just food either. Great values to be found but you have to be a business owner to gain access. The only downside is the place is not well lit and doesnt feel so clean. Its worth tolerating that to get good deals for your business.
Things are very cheap and you save a lot. Always fresh stuff. But be ALWAYS aware of the prices, especially if there is a sale. Take a flyer before entering. They will always overcharge you and you should be very careful. A pretty messy place but its a wholesale supermarket with lots of customers, so its expected to be like that.
I have complain, i go to buy jetro, they say need jetro card, i bring card scan & take products 3 hours, than they say card is old, bring back paper & take new card then buy. I say, I already put papper, you can make update & give me products. They say no. Over smart is Stupids.
I use to work for this company. They are the worse ever first of all they fired me right after thanksgiving which is crazy because this is the holiday season second the general manager is a snake that does not care about any one well being i would never ever spend a penny in this place of business i mean never and the front end manager is so damn ghetto its a shame. Put it like this to shop at this store is like going to the jungle.
Most items not priced and you have to keep an eye on the prices because it might be expired sign and they will refuse to give it to you if you buying more then one product which is not fair, if the sign says a price that’s what you should be charged for but sorry guys the manger is full of attitude, otherwise their products most of the time fresh
Worst run business ever, no ability to manage lines, no credit card machines work and only one payment window. Pray you never have to return anything so you dont have to stand and yell into a plexiglass window after waiting an hour. Worst part of my week is entering this cave of ineptitude
Actually if I can give them a rate less than zero, I ll do it, they supporting their staff to fight with customers and too much rude , you feel that you are doing shopping in a jungle , wasting your time, charging you more money than their price tags shown on shelves, in case you asking them to fix the price they keeping you beside them for a long time ,rudeness, carlessness, wastage money ,wastage time, soon a new chain will open and they will die.
This is by far the worst location in nyc I been here few time in a past because its closer to me I hated so much , I normally shop at the one in Bronx . but we are in a rush today so .... they are busy at noon we always need to wait 25-40 mins to check out . So finally we get to the counter my wife hand over to the girl to scan , she just give my wife a nasty look and yell TURN THE CARD OVER (where she can scan the barcode on the card ) I was like ok maybe she having a bad day I keep my self claim . After all the items is scaned she bring up the total my wife took out her credit card ready to pay , she is like GO OVER THERE ! PAY OVER THERE AT THE WINDOW ! My wife ask why ? Im using my credit card that window its for cash payer . she without any explaination just yell JUST GO OVER THERE !! my wife was upset because the person before us can pay at the counter and why she giving her hard time . She end up not to argue with the counter girl and walk but she just keep talking to her , my wife say OKAY I dont wanna deal with u let me go pay my bill at the window . She just cant stop yelling .... Im was getting upset then I tell her CAN U JUST SHUT UP . And she go nuts DONT TELL ME TO SHUT UP , YOU SHUT UP !! I TOLD U TO GO OVER THERE AND PAY THERE . I tell her you could ask us nicely instead of yelling with that nasty attitude . She say S T F U !!!i scream back to her and surprisely there is no manager step in or they just dont care about there service .Anyway I would never come back to this place again . I wont recommend any of my friends to go here
Horrible service ,rude and very disrespectful , i was boiling when we arrived at counter to pay , an older lady needed help ,(it seems she was arab or Muslim) asked for help ,they have these people around the place ,we dont believe they work their , but i assume its for tips , so here is a guy ,wants to work for tips , the lady obliviously didnt know he is not official employee of jetro , so he says to her where is your husband ,ask him to help , you dont pay tips ,i cant help ask your husband .to make matters worst ,he started to mock her and yelling ,the manager shows up if i recall correctly ,her name was Marsha ?thought it was funny too , pulled out her phone and started to record it ,and asking keep saying those awful things to this old lady ,she thought that was funny , and did a whole video on her phone .encouraging this behavior should not be tolerated ,its awful and i feel like an ass for not standing up for this lady , this happen about a month and half ago ,and it continues to come to mind .i notice lots of people from all different fate and color in this place ,without them , jetro will not make .
The bad experience in my shopping live, is always dirty, has many holes in the floor, there are many birds around the roof, all the products are with the excrement of the birds, long lines to pay, there are more deliverys than customers, the store give preference to the deliverys and not the customers, Mrs. Marcia (supervisor) only helps if you give her money he told me in my face. I do not go back to that shop anymore.
Worst place ever I will never step a foot in that place. They got some rude employees they are lucky I was in a good mood or if not they would have catched these hands... also some rude manager if I could give you zero stars I would becuase that place is trash. I dont know what some of the employees are thinking and if you get offended by this that means it was you ⚫⚫
Im not surprise about the bad rating they have,But plz people put in your mind always big companies like that dont really care about customer service, they know they are big enough that you cant reach , the only place I feel comfortable and have good customer service is Costco, beside that most of these big guys are careless., including BJs they are on the same level like jetro.
Very bed service I waited 1:20 minutes still nobody help onley one person working on the customer care thousand of people coming to jetro and one person help thats sing of not carrying about costumer so before you go purchase think about other opetionthanks all the readers
Very poor staff,disrespect the costumers,i supervise askingthe costumers,i kick you out from the store.may be management is sleeping,they choose & picks the costumers and provide services.employ who fix the store is nice & helping.some counters working good,but some very poor & rude,exit gate staff one person very rude and disrespectful behavior,this gay leave the exits and come in the lines and picks the costumers.

2020-09-22This place does the job. It is accessible, had what you need most of the time. Not everything is priced @ wholesale so you really need to be keen on what you are buying. Fresh produce is generally a good buy but other wholesale items dont necessarily beat Costco or other distributors. You can probably count the number of organic items on one hand. get there when it opens or you will wait on VERY long lines.

2022-05-22Used to be ok years ago. They have raised the prices to match most other retail stores. I am not willing to buy in bulk for retail prices. Amazon is cheaper for most items and free delivery. Costco is also cheaper. For every 50c manufacturers raise cost, Jetro doubles it on their end.

2021-03-27Store doesnt look clean, smells not good. Prices high and no reason to buy. Same prices as Costco and BJs. But that stores are very pleasant to walk and choose what you want.

2022-03-07I can honesly say this is where souls go to die in brooklyn. They are a staple in the area for all types of businesses including delis, grocery stores, restaurants, home kitchens, even hardware stores. They supply a wide arrage of products and supply the community with a huge service as well as jobs, i would presume, since somone is always unloading in every aisle. Even with a complete list of items you need to buy and where to find them, the whole checkout process will take well over an hour. Faulty carts, unpleasant employees, disgruntled shoppers, will all distract you from seeing all the damaged merchandise which has gotten into by rats and birds. These are the ingredients being sold in stores and prepared into meals people. Inspect your items before purchase. Checkout is unfortunately the worst part of the whole ordeal. Whether you have a few items or cart full, it will take the same amount of time. There is no express lane. Cashiers need a managers approval to do anything besides ring up an item. Need a void? a pricecheck? This will sometimes take considerable amounts of time, sometimes over 5 minutes. Meanwhile random lines will open up causing mass migrations of customers to desperately try and leave faster. Meanwhile you are stuck waiting for a manager. I have also tried getting delivery and spent exorbitant amounts of money while still receiving the wrong items and late deliveries. The items are marked up above store price, sometimes by an insane amount. I wish I could say I would never have to go back. But I know ill have to one day.
