Jiffy Lube in other cities:
Went here for an inspection today. Everyone was friendly and professional. They were up front about wait times and the wait was even less than their estimate despite there being several cars waiting (about 8 cars). Everyone cycled through quickly. Id return again next year!
Its always a pleasure when utilizing their services. You get no hassle nobody attempting to upsell you, you get exactly what you ask for. To be honest I was expecting a wait but because I went so early they took it right in and I was out of there 15 minutes later. Amazing!!
I come here for quick, reliable, fast and good quality car wash. They do a wonderful job cleaning the interior of car and giving it a good car smell. Also there is an option to do a deep clean on the interior seats inside the car to remove stains left from food snd drinks.
Brought my 2019 subaru in for the only oil change I have not done myself. Now due for the next oil change, I find the drain plug rounded and way way overtightened. Called to complain and request a repair and free oil change for the trouble, as I live an hour away. Was told by the manager that there is no way it could have been them. This was after the first gentleman I spoke too said that its common and happens all the time. The manager the proceeded to blame me for the issue and insinuated I was trying to pull one over on him. I requested to be transfered to the cooperate office or owner of franchise to complain about the manager and poor service. The manager also refused to give me his name. I was then placed on hold for 15 minuets with no amswer or transfer happening. Never in my life have I ever been so rudely spoken too as the customer of a business. I have since contacted the cooperate office who started a claim against the location. Dont use these hacks. Take your car to the dealer.
As an out-of-stater, but now new resident of the Empire State, after registering my Nissan Rogue Sport at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles on Central Avenue, I went directly to the Nissan Dealership nearby to schedule a State Inspection within the required 10 days. Even though I had a Lifetime Maintenance Warranty, I was told that they were booked to the end of the month, more than 10 days out. I thought, is this warranty even worth the price of the paper on which it is printed? Nonetheless, when pressed, the Nissan representative recommended Jiffy Lube, anywhere in Albany. So, I headed to the one farther out on Central Avenue. I was instantly greeted by the fantastically friendly team of Bianca and Maxwell. They not only inspected my Nissan to state standards, but also took off my old North Dakota plates to put on my New York ones. In addition, they mounted my new car registration in the front window, along with my EZ-Pass for toll highways. Bianca and Maxwell proved an incredibly engaging team -- prompt, courteous, and above the call of duty. In addition, they were forthcoming about advice for a newcomer to New York State regarding car maintenance and state laws, in general. As a new resident, thanks to Bianca and Maxwell, I am now sold on Jiffy Lube rather than the Nissan Dealership! Just cant beat the one on Central Avenue for the jiffy-est and most professional service in the whole State Capital! Magnificent business model! When you come back to get an oil change anytime in the future, you even get a free car wash!
Went in for an oil change, got 50% off with an online coupon which was a great start. Then the workers noticed I was missing caps on my back tires so they replaced them free of charge and put air in them. It’s the little things that make all the difference. I’ll be back again for sure!
Great oil change experience here yesterday. I usually go to the one in Delmar as I thought they were the best but they unexpectedly vacuumed/ cleaned my floor mats that were very muddy and they look like new. Most impressed with the lady behind the desk dealing with a guy that didnt want to pay full price for the services he received. So much so I didnt use my coupon code to cover the money they lost on him.
I stopped by to get a desperately needed oil change. I was greeted by a kind young lady that assured me that this would happen as soon as possible. She checked on me while I waited, made sure I received exactly the service that I requested. There were a number of cars in front of me, they got me in, got me out, accepted my coupon and treated me with the upmost respect.
Horrible service. Sat there for over two hours for a inspection. I watched multiple people leave before me that came in after me, and they had the same service done. The only reason I was able to leave was because I reminded them of my car. Maybe if they were not screwing around in the shop instead of working might have been out of there sooner.
I went there for an inspection. They were very polite and professional. They also rotated my tires, changed filters, and wipers along with the inspection. I dont know a thing about cars and the price was very good. They dont try to rip you off. They explained everything I needed. I will definitely go back there. Thank you to everyone at Jiffy Lube for making me feel comfortable and being do nice.😊
Since they dont do appointments & its 1st come 1st serve, the wait is often an hour or more just to be seen. It happened to me three times in the same week, despite arriving at staggered times. And, two out of the three visits, cars cut me off. Raised by wolves I guess! I was told that people arrive at 7:15 a.m. for an 8 a.m. opening, which cuts the wait by 15 minutes. As the Queen of the Snooze Button, sleep beats gaining 15 minutes, so Ill pass...
Not a bad review, however, a simple inspection turned to to be a quest to nickel and dime me for money. I agreed to a filter change, and a front headlamp replacement, but my vehicle still failed to pass inspection, due to front rotor and brake pads. I was advised to go to Midas, but I went to Adirondack Tire instead. I had to go back to get the window sticker because they do not repair brakes. Hoffman car wash and Jiffy Lube used to be much better in providing customer service years ago. Today, they are a bit expensive, especially when they keep suggesting add on services. The thing is, there is some confusion over the oil change bays and the automatic full service car wash, next door to one another. I would have given them more business, had they been totally honest from the get go. I wanted my car cleaned inside and out. Maybe next time....
I couldnt be happier with the positive interaction along with the great service. I always feel like Im gonna be taken care of! And Lorenz is the consumate professional. He along the staff is why I would get my oil changed anywhere else. They work well together and are good people as well.
Kyle M. was so pleasant when i arrived. He really knows how to greet the customers and make them feel that warm welcome. David S. and Louis C. also seemed like really good workers. Lorin E. was also very nice and helpful at checkout! A great team of gentlemen! Thank you. ☺
Brian is awesome. Awesome place. People are genuine and they make sure what you actually need. My mustang was showing low oil on the app however the oil was pretty good. Brian told me upfront all the things and let me know that I do not need to do oil change right now. Brian was great!!
Very good communication between team members and me for the service I needed to get done. First team members was quick to direct me which lane to use. He was friendly and I liked that from the start. When paying for the service with a money saving $10 off coupon I asked the cashier if they do military discount. She said no but gave me an additional $5 off anyway. As a disabled veteran on limited income I sincerely appreciated that. Thank you again. I shall return.
The service took nearly 2 hours to complete and this was after noon arriving were told wait time would be 20 minutes late. I can appreciate being short staff etc.but you need to be honest or at the very least apologize for the delay and perhaps offer a broader discount for the inconvenience
2 hours for an oil change! I was next in line, but apparently the wrong one. 5 vehicles were finished before mine even though they arrived after. There was a time when the lane my car was in was empty for more than 15min before they bothered to even pull my car into the garage.
Oil Change performed, over 2 hours to complete said and done. I understand the delay due to other customers/busy Saturday afternoon, but when technicians are joking around/throwing rags at each other in the garage and not working on vehicles I think anyone would be frustrated.
Frustrated. Was told 45mins and waited almost 90. No one came to explain what they we’re doing and they chose to use a full synthetic oil option for approx $45 more without asking permission. Checked with Valvoline and was told a synthetic blend is available and provided a $10 coupon off of a $65 charge. Paid Jiffy Lube $99. Terrible service and I’ll be going to valvoline from now on.
I showed up 90 mins before close to have the oil changed on my Audi A7 TDI and there was an issue, the wrong filter was showing in their system and they were out of stock on the filter I really needed. Daniel drove to advanced auto and autozone to track down the filter I needed, saving the car from having to sit overnight. It was incredible above and beyond customer service. Transparency, communication, and professionalism. Thank you.
Stopped here for an oil change and an inspection. 2017 ram 1500, i’ve never had any problems with the vehicle. No engine lights, nothing. They plug their tool in and my engine light comes on and throws five codes. Needless to say because of that my truck didn’t pass inspection. They put their scanner on my truck reset the engine light no problems. Drove the truck for a week came back they hooked up their scanner no codes. They plug in a different inspection tool, lo and behold, my truck passes inspection. One of their technicians had taken the previous inspection tool out of commission after it almost ruined my truck. You can’t make this stuff up!!
Jiffy Lube staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Im always in and out quickly. In addition to the oil change they top off your fluids and check your tire pressure. There are usually coupons available for $20 off an oil change and my local Jiffy Lube includes a coupon for a free car wash that never expires.
In and out, ready to go. Just the way its meant to be. Even on a busy day, this place is quick. Their prices are as good as any local mechanic, for small maintenance that is. You even get a free car wash for next door with an oil change! Ill would recommend this place for simple maintenance jobs
To start, I had an excellent oil change and tire rotation experience. It was done quickly, the technicians were polite, and my vehicle was returned without even a smudge of oil film on a door handle. My dealer doesnt do that well, and it takes them 90 minutes. There was a young woman working this day that unfortunately took the brunt of a customer that was unjustified in complaining about service (NYS inspection) on her vehicle. This customer was borderline abusive, complaining about the time it took (it seemed very reasonable in my mind considering emissions checks, brakes, etc). This customer also was very pointed in criticizing a specific technician. Its a situation I would have not handled as professionally as this employee did. I realize this is part of any service position, it is rare - but probably not as rare as it should be, but it is still a reminder that someone is going home that night most likely with this unfortunate event burning in their mind. Our society clearly has a room for improvement, your team members deserve a bit more love for a job that inherently smashes fingers and burns hands and incurs countless other physical and mental risks.
I just needed an oil change. I was quoted a price outside by the greeter. I told him to all of his questions, I just need an oil change. When I finally was called in to talk to the tech, 40 minutes later, the price had gone up $19.99 because of the oil filter. Then, the sales pitch about wipers, tire rotation, transmission flushing. I said I just want an oil change. Well, your transmission oil could be changed ....The car has 13325 miles, why? Oh, thats all the milage it has on it... yes, thats all it has on it. Oh, then it probably doesnt need to be changed, okay, so just the oil change then?... Yes, just the oil change. Then it took another 30 minutes to finish. Nothing jiffy about this Jiffy Lube.
Fast and excellent service, everyone was friendly and professional. I was acknowledged positively when I came in and checking out the girl at the counter was very friendly and had a great attitude. When I was leaving I got a friendly goodbye, thanks for coming from one of the mechanics in the garage. Was a great experience as usual. I bring my cars here all the time.
Update: Dan from Jiffy Lube reached out to me and made the situation right... Thank you Dan and Hoffman’s/Jiffy Lube————-They did a quick and efficient job with my oil change... great customer service... however, I did ask prior if they still vacuum the interior of the car... and they said “yes, we do a thorough job”... because it was raining, I jumped in my car and drove home without inspecting... when I got home and looked, I was very disappointed in the vacuum job
Spot on!!!! Tommy I know you read these! The new cashier was funny, friendly and a good addition. The service advisor, missed her name, was friendly, technical and knew what she was doing. Service times were great. The greeters were attentive and were paying attention to a weird driver trying to pull out and instructing drivers pulling up what to do. Also asked me if I knew the prices of the differential services as I needed that done pre service review. Thanks!!!
Guy tried to say my air filter was shot, showed it to me , it looked almost completely white, the car has 6k miles on it, now I gotta wonder whether or not they actually put the premium blend of oil in my car that I paid for, tried to blatantly scam me into paying 35$ for an air filter that I clearly did not need
Sent my girlfriend here to get her car inspected and they wouldnt pass her unless she got all 4 brakes and rotors replaced. Luckily I told her to not to let them do anything. I replaced 2/4 rotors and 0/4 pads myself, brought it back to the same place, and they passed the car without blinking an eye. I guess Ill go somewhere where they dont have quotas because it obviously has an impact on your teams candor. Lot of other comments reflect the same dishonest behavior.
The 2 hour wait was horrible. Listening to the same programming over and over in the waiting area felt like product and service brain washing. The associate who spoke to me about services my jeep needed was very friendly. All I needed was an oil change and tire rotation. I only went here because I had a coupon for a free oil change. When I finally got my jeep, it wasnt vacuumed. I was not going back to complain as I had already waited so long. It made me think, if you said you vacuumed and didnt, what else did you not do that you said you did? I was very dissatisfied. Would have been a one star if it wasnt for the friendly and funny technician that spoke to me.
Doesnt take appointments, and when I called just to ask about whether I could get an oil change done in less than an hour (on a weekday) I was told probably not.Thats ridiculous in my opinion, people have jobs and schedules and dont have time to just sit and wait for over an hour for a service that should take 20 minutes tops.On top of that they charge over $80 for synthetic and try to tell you youre getting a free car wash?? My car dealer in cheaper, and more reliable.
The manager here was super friendly and honest. I give a 5 star rating because he didnt tell me I needed everything fixed or replaced. He went through the vehicle and was straight forward and funny. Ive had bad experiences at Monroe and have had good luck at Jiffy Lubes in other areas. Its nice to pull up, sit in the waiting room for half an hour and then be on your way. The price of oil changes has gone up I think and I think its hard to get a $20 oil change these days. Definitely a good place to go for a quick oil change.
Came in to get my oil changed and state inspection. They did a wonderful job on my aging Toyota Matrix. I need this car to survive college for me, and I trust these guys to take care of it. Eric, the gentleman who worked on my car has worked on my car before. This time he gave me a discount, and I got a free car wash (how freakin awesome is that dude). All the staff there are friendly and know their job well. Especially with all the stress of Covid and the world right now, I’m glad that taking care of my car was unstressful and went well. I gave them 5 stars and I mean it!!
I came here because I found a coupon on their website for an oil change/ car wash combo. The employees were so friendly and helpful. One of them even fixed my washer fluid pump that had been broken for months, free of charge. While getting into my car after my oil change, I noticed that they had cleaned my interior a bit, polishing my dashboard and vacuuming my back carpets, though they never mentioned it to me. This is going above and beyond; I was very impressed and pleased with their customer service. The coupons and deals they have are also great. I hope that in the future they find a way to let customers leave tips via credit/debit card because their employees definitely deserve this opportunity.
Went to this location yesterday for an oil change. It was busy, so I parked my car outside the bay and went inside and waited. After a short while, Eric (a supervisor) tried to start my car to pull it in for service but it wouldnt start. He came and got me and we played with it for a bit but it wouldnt start. He was very patient with me and the situation, trying to help figure out what was going on, even calling other knowledgeable car friends to try to help troubleshoot. Never did get it going and ended up having to get it towed to a dealership (that replaced a faulty steering column mechanism that was under recall). Certainly no fault of Jiffy Lubes, but I appreciated Eric going the extra mile to try to help me out. Will be going back soon to get the oil change that I wasnt able to get the first time.
Walked in for an inspection and oil change...waited at the counter for 5 minutes. The phone rang and it was the only reason staff came into the office. When he answered the phone he positioned himself do ge didnt have to make eye contact. When done with the call he processed to walk back into the garage. My husband had to stop him to get him to wait on us. With that we decided to take our car elsewhere.
Absolutely horrible service! People walk around the garage like they are busy, when infact they are not. A women that works there, was in the office talking to her friends. Could hear the whole conversation. Would say maybe its her break. But it was the whole almost 2 hours I was there. The place is a joke. A place meant for their speediest service, is probably the slowest on the Central Ave strip.
Went in about a week ago for oil change and inspection, week later noticed a noise in front end looked underneth saw fittings had not been greased went back told them. they looked at it, said they greased it and everything was fine, he said noise was probably due to rust. got home looked under still had not greased. Not very happy and will not be back
My boyfriend and I have been going here since we purchased our car in 2016, my last visit there was the first time I went by myself. The gentleman told me that this is what we always get and showed me some things on the screen, however he showed me something that we have never gotten before and charge me an extra $99. when I brought this to the managers attention he told me that there was nothing he could really do about it besides taking $20 off, I was overcharged a hundred dollars for something that someone lied to me about us always previously purchasing. I will probably never be coming back.
Dear all male workers.....You should work on making it less obvious when you’re trying to check out a young female just trying to vacuum her car, considering all of you standing at the garage door pointing at me and making faces at each other is not in ANY way discreet. You all thought I couldn’t see you, but my rear view mirror helped me see you all making comments. Thank you for making me extremely uncomfortable and mortified while I was just trying to vacuum my car. I loved how it started off as just one of you staring at me and then eventually turned into an entire group of you. I would’ve never known that many people worked there, but you all appeared out of nowhere just to check me out. I thought it was a strange experience since this has never happened to me before coming to vacuum my car, but then I texted a friend of mine about it and she expressed how she used to purposefully dress in baggy clothes so this would stop happening until eventually she took her business somewhere else because she couldn’t take it any longer. Be better.
Went for a quick tire patch when they were not busy at all...an hour later the technician comes out and said he broke something off my tire. Had to write up an incident report and call manager. I was supposed to hear back from the manager the next day and did not. Had to call them to remind them that they broke my car. Then finally went back to them to get the part replaced that they broke and I am again waiting over an hour when there is no one here. Writing this review while I wait. Never using jiffy lube again.
Went for NY state inspection for my VW CC today. Please note the car had no power steering issue until today. After inspection was done, the power steering light came on and the steering assist was nil. Instead of trying to figure out what would have gone wrong , they just straight away said car came with power steering light on, which is a lie.(If that was true then how could my car pass state inspection, which it did & I have the sticker). After doing lil bit of googling I was able to figure out that if battery is disconnected then power steering behave this way. However, the point here is their response during the entire fiasco, trying to put blame on the customer.Additionally, I do agree with the comment below that, they call you by car name for some reason, probably racism.Previously I did state inspection on my BMW here, however after todays experience I will not.

2022-05-26I just want to show appreciation to the employees and management at this location. I experienced a situation that was no fault of this company or location however the team at this location worked together and resolved my issue. No one complained everyone was so courteous and willing to assist. I was so grateful at the experience I received there. It was different because in the world we live in today most people do not have the customer service or courtesy or understanding as I experienced here and I just want to say thank you for being so attentive, professional and willing to assist!

2022-06-29Was my go to place to get oil done so I figured I would have them do my inspection. Technician comes into the waiting room and tells me he can’t inspect my 66k mile, very good condition manual gearbox Jeep Wrangler because the e brake doesn’t work. That confused me because I set the e brake every time I park and it works fine. I go out to the vehicle and he had it pulled up about half way. I pull it up higher for the tech and the brake engages. He started the car and feathers the clutch out till it breaks the friction on the ebrake and the jeep moves forward and he tells me the brake doesn’t work again. I told him to forget the inspection. I went inside and while waiting for them to charge me for the oil change I look up the guidelines for inspection. From NYDMV “motor vehicle inspection regulations” page 38-39, “reject if: parking or holding break will not hold vehicle stationary with … shift lever in low gear while engaging the clutch on a standard transmission.” After I paid I went out to the jeep I decided to talk to a different tech. I explained that they were doing the automatic transmission test to a manual car. I put the e brake on on the car which is now on a slight downhill slope and put all my 250lb body weight into rocking the car back and forth but it doesn’t budge. Now a third tech gets in and again feathers the clutch out till he breaks the friction on the e brake and the car lurches forward. I get that there aren’t that many standard cars on the road any more but if the techs can’t figure out an ebrake then I have serious concerns about what else they are doing and what other things they are charging customers for. Lost a loyal customer

2022-05-07Update: The company reached out to me to rectify the situation and arranged for the grease stain to be cleaned and removed at no cost to me. I didnt expect this to happen, but very much appreciated them following through with removing the stain. They made this process quick and easy. For these reasons Ive increased my rating from 2 stars to 4...............Service was on par, but they got grease on my tan upholstery, so thats really not appreciated. Wont go back.

2022-06-07So I have been here before without any issues. Yesterday I went to get an oil changed and pulled up like normal and waited, I was the only one in that line. The older gentleman that was checking people in either didn’t see me or thought he already took care of me cause I waited 15min and he ended up taking care of the rest of the people and going inside the oil change, putting his tablet down and preceded talked to someone. I honked, but no one seemed to notice. I believe when I pulled out to leave the older gentleman and the person he was talking to noticed I was leaving and looked confused. I would just say, please make sure you double check the cars around you to make sure you have checked everyone in. I’m not sure I will be back.

2022-04-30Legit got my oil changed here a little while ago, new jeep, someone here stripped my oil pan plug and now have a constant drip under my car. Took the engine cover off and there’s tons of oil spilled everywhere also like they couldn’t pour the new oil in slow enough or keep the funnel steady. Absolute joke. Train your people!!! So infuriating.
