What a dump. Employees swearing at customers. Got the wrong food half cooked. Being drunk doesnt help eating this trash.
Conveniently located near my Hotel and open late. Friendly Service and my chicken salad was delicious.
Food is average. Plenty of meat but too greasy making the bread very soggy.
First time there in years, a bit less steak on the stinger but still just as great.
As advised and nothing else. Bread with meat in it. If you came here for something else you might have come to the wrong place.Though they do have salads.

Ordered from grubhub and was told “the restaurant told me to tell you we didn’t have your stuffed pepper”, okay that’s awesome 🙄 and then we open the wraps we ordered and got the completely wrong items. didn’t receive any refund from the restaurant or grubhub. obviously the refund would for the most part be grubhubsresponsibility, however, this is the second time they’ve left items out of our order without just saying they’re unavailable. wait time in the restaurant is also terrible.

A Buffalo staple, you cant go wrong with Jims for late night eats. Sure, your body may regret it somewhat the next day, but its undoubtedly delicious in the moment. Though I find this to be the case with just about all of my favorite Buffalo foods! The Jimmy.. steak, stuffed banana pepper, cheese and Jims secret sauce.. is just.. *chefs kiss*. My mouth is watering just thinking about it as I write this review. Be patient with the staff especially if youre there after midnight, Im sure its not the most fun job to have :)

Overall, alright in a pinch. The location is a little trashy, could be cleaned better. The food is not so bad if you love eating greasy food. They now have salads, which are pretty decent for the price, though I wish there were more variety in them. Lettuce isnt very well torn either.

10/10/2020 picked up a chicken in the grass extra onions extra cheese sorry extra sauce took one bite noticed there was no flavor open it up there were three little pieces of spinach and no sauce it was terrible. Mostly grease soaked through the bun never againOkay 8:14-2021 my fiance decided to order from Jims on Allen and I saw I gave it another try and I did the steak in the grass and it was absolutely good it was very good so remember the day and the time it was about 8:00 so it should be the same chef thats who you want it was absolutely good thats my review okay
Every time I call to place a pick-up order, it rings for about a minute, and then after telling the employee I want to place a pick-up order, I get placed on hold for so long that I inevitably hang up. It takes all of three seconds to tell them what I want. Foods not bad, service could be better in this regard.
Normally LOVE Jims and will absolutely go back. But I hate onions. I asked for a Jefferson no onion....I got onions....

Definitely not what a steak sandwich should look or taste like. My son described it as soggy, gross and all over the place, and I surely agree with him. We sadly threw the whole sub and fries away. Such a waste😣

Okay so, the food was absolutely BOMB, I mean REALLY good, and the restaurant itself was nice too. Lots of comfortable open seating, well lit, clean, etc. The problem is that this area is NOT SAFE. I half expected my car to not be there any more when I left. Really super shady people all over the place. Its a shame because the service was great, and the food was awesome, but I wont be back. Ever.They need to hire a security guard for the overnight weekends, like really badly. I went there on a Sunday night and it was that bad, I only only imagine a Friday or Saturday. If they cant provide a uniformed presence to protect their customers and workers in such a dangerous place then I dont want to give them my patronage.Seriously, like five cop cars and an ambulance sped through that place in the ten minutes I was there. I was hit up by a prostitute as I entered, with her mentally unhinged pissed off pimp standing nearby. As I sat down to eat some guy tapped me on the shoulder and asked if Id give him money. When I offered to buy food for him there he said no, then tried to get me to follow him to some super sketchy mini mart down the street.Screw that, and forget this place. Go to the one on Chippewa, at least that area usually has cops nearby.
Their subs are becoming very average! and they charge extra for jalapeno pepper instead of just replacing it free! with the sweet peppers that automatically comes with the sub. Very disappointed
Steak Hoagie deluxe was alright. Not what I remembered, a little disappointed. The Buffalo chicken finger wrap was good, but a little pricey for such a small piece of chicken. Also a little spicy for mild sauce. Online order went fine. Order ready when said. Staff was good.

I love Jims but not this location. This is probably the worse location to go to. The staff dont care about their job. Most likely your order is going to be made wrong or in a poor manor. Dont bother getting the stinger fries from here. It will not look or taste the same as those at other locations. Their chicken fingers always taste old. Make sure you check your order before leaving the store. The only good thing about this location is that its clean. And dont bother going on a Friday or Saturday night. You will never get your food. And dont bother calling in for a pick up after 7 any day. They wont answer the phone.
This is one of the main Jims that I come to!!! Its been awhile so I can be biased BUT this is a place where most of me being biased is based off of the service and them getting the order correct!!! The dining area is usually clean and there is plenty of room for seating. The bathroom is usually clean too!! As far as crowd and busy hours, you can pretty much assume when that will be. Its located in the heart of all the action downtown. The parking might be a little tight despite them having their own so thats your only downfall. All in all, come down and try them out!!

These people just throw food together as fast as possible and call it a day. I ordered 3 chicken finger wraps and not ONE have a chicken finger in it, just mayo and lettuce.
I just wanted to get some food and go sit by the water. I ordered a taco in a bag. Of course you have to add cheese and sour cream. I get all the way to the water and guess what! No sour cream. You know the slightest thing could be missing and the meal is ruined! I go back. They remake it. Forgot the cheese but added it before I left. Got home to West Seneca... open it up.. all messy!! Then it wasnt hot salsa but mild... i guess. A waste of time and money! Definitely not a do over to any of the Jims!!!!!!!
Real friendly staff, there were two orders in front of my as well as two dashers picking up and I was still out in under fifteen minutes.
This is my go-to place for subs. Their subs are nice and fresh and have tons of meat. When I order online my order is always ready when I show up. The workers seem nice and friendly which is a plus.
I ordered a couple of subs online after me and my bf both had a long workday. i ordered to a location I was able to easily walk to. Once I got there, I was told I had accidentally ordered to the wrong location and there would be no way to fix it or be reimbursed. I spoke to the general manager (Bobby) who was incredibly kind and patient and had no problem speaking with the other location to transfer the order, saving me a ride down there after a few Friday beers. Customer service at this location and the elmwood location are excellent. Highly recommend it!

Pricey but sooo worth it. Steak Hoagie is my favourite but my son loves the 1/4 burger. And they gave no problems following my sons allergy prevention plan for making his food. Awesome staff!
I cannot begin to tell you how horrible this place is. I understand they are open until 5am to care to those who were out on the town. However, i find it unacceptable to have people right outside yelling at you and then enter the establishment just to cause a scene. In addition, the poor staff have to deal with so many people who are yelling and this leads them to serve horrible food.The only positive experience, was getting to see the homeless mans dog inside Jims Steak out, while he begged for money. I live in the area so Ive been to Jims more than a few times over the years. The food is average and subs usually fall apart while eating them. I havent gone in a long time and my last experience with the food was better but ended up paying $20 for a sub and fries which is way to much for the quality of food I got. Would be more stars if they charged less for the same quality.

Crossing the border from Ontario, Canada to Buffalo, NY for a motorcycle tour of America that we dubbed The Tour of Trumps America 2017. We met a new friend at the border who wanted to take us for a ride around Buffalo, we blindly went with this stranger back to his house to fetch his motorcycle and took off for a late night ride around buffalo at 3am. We were all hungry so Ty our guide suggested Jims Steakout. Even at 3:30 am the place was packed, the line moved quickly though and we placed our order. It was ready quickly and we were eager to dive into what Jims had to offer. I had ordered the Philly, and was blown away. Regrettably I had only ordered a small that night, and I was left craving more. Fast forward a week later when we are heading back to Canada and we purposely made the trip into Buffalo and down Allen to Jims once again. This guy I manned up and ordered the 12 Jimmy, it was even better than the Philly I had previously. This place is so good that Im willing to cross the border for Jims every time in near Niagara Falls. 20/10 would recommend.

You end our night here. Its almost like a tradition. You drag yourself out of the Pink and you walk down the street and you grab a stinger sub here. The place has plenty of seating until after 2am when people start to spill out of bars.The place is surprisingly clean and thankfully, well lit. This could be an added bonus because you can see whoever you happen to be hanging out with a lot better.Since its communal seating, getting a seat can be a crap shoot. And at late night the drunks are about and Ive seen a fight or two. Theres not much the staff can do about it. I feel like if youre coming here though, you already know what youre in for.
The best drunk food in all of the downtown/Allentown area. If it is 3am and youre hungry, this is where you need to be. Cheap prices, decent quality. You might pay for it the next day, but it feels good in the moment.
The steak taco was delicious, and my daughter had the chicken finger sub, she usually doesnt finish a 12 inch, but she did tonight. Excellent service and food. Will definitely be back.

On a positive note, they took care of 30 student orders. on a negative, if one orders a $10.50 tuna sub, there should be more Tuna on that sub then a shy tablespoon. Im not sure about the quality of the other subs, but mine personally, was very disappointing. Its embarrassing to have to say anything.
They screwed up my order as usual. I had to stand outside for twenty minutes after I called to say Ive arrived (also after I received a text that my order was ready) and when I received my food it was cold and soggy I threw most of it away
Who hasnt been partying into the early morning hours in Allentown and not stopped in to this location of Jims Steakout? This location is right on the corner next to where all of the action is. This is the remedy for a great night after you have drank a bunch. You will run in to some characters around these parts just giving you a heads up.
This place lost four stars right from the start.One, not clean nasty and sticky floors, smells like old meat.Two, Food is cross full of gressand not cooked all the way. The food come soggy and cold.Three, the owner/manager of this place keeps hiring cousins of his from out of the country and they do not speak very good English and they get rude because they cant understand you..lolFour, the area is so outrageously nasty and unsafe. The area needs to be cleaned from urine and drugs. There was old needles laying out in the parking lot. Very unsafe, do not bring family. The drunks will follow you, yell at you, bag for money/sex. Bad place... If I could give no stars I would.

I ordered through UberEats and was sent another customers order last Friday with the name James on it. I contacted UberEats through the app and was told to leave feedback for the restaurant. Instead of receiving my salad and sub, the order sent had fries and two wraps. Very disappointed because this is not the first time a mistake like this has happened.
Being from out of state this was a real treat. I stopped in after a Eagles Concert (11:30pm) and the place was very busy (good and bad). The good is that the food is real good and people know it (20 somethings) - the bad is they are wicked sloooowwwww in preparing your order. I had The Jefferson (on reccomendation from someone in line). This is steak or chicken with sausage, fried onions, cheese and the special sause on a toasted roll. Comes in 3 sizes - i had the 12 inch (Grinder or Hoagie) This was EXCELLENT but had to wait 20 minutes to get it. This included time in line as well as the cooking process. They have a system and you would think it would be faster but it isnt. Some of it is the people ordering but only one register was opened with the line out the door.

I go to the Main St Location.. The Tacos are GREAT!!!, nice and juicy. They remind me of how good Mighty Tacos USED to taste years ago, the 1st time I had a Taco... Their Steaks are greasy, and not in a good way.. Tacos are the only thing I order from them. If I want a great Taco and Im not forced to go to Mighty Taco, Taco Bell, or fix some myself, Jims is my spot...
Food is good, not worth the waitMost of the cooks are futzing around on their cell phones while 40+ people wait in line to place an order. 10 years ago this was the place to eat at 4am. Now? Go home. Have a turkey on rye and avoid the riff raff. Even Buff PD is sick of the nonsense.
I like Jims Steakout in general, but my suggestion is dont go there after 11pm to 2am not beacuse the food or service is bad but beacuse thats when the drunk crowd arrives, and its a chaotic scene. Otherwise the food is good and there is a wide selection of items.
My wife and I did not enjoy the place it was infested with homeless & Hustlers that was trying to pray on customer,s being that we were from out of town and wanted something to eat the menu looked good and so did the food until it arrived in front of us not to mention that they were price gouging because of an event that they were having in there town and the food and drinks was not worth what they charged me for two sodas one medium sub & fries & one taco fries personally I would not go there to eat ever ever again not to mention also there was some women at two of the tables praying on guys weather they were with someone or not really wasnt happy with the place at all what a disappointment 😞.

Just get a Jims famous steak hoagie. Whether youre sober or youve been drinking (especially if youve been drinking) its the best thing for curing a that craving for something really delicious that might give you a heart attack (we all have that craving lets be honest, and it would be worth the coronary). Chicken finger sub is also great, honestly Im sure anything here is amazing. Just try it, have a little buffalo injected into your spirit.
I love Jims Steakout. I think its the perfect place to go during or after a night out at the bars. I always get a chicken finger sub. Its hot, its tasty, and its filling. Open late, which is perfect when youre having a night out.

The food was decent. The experience was uncomfortable because we watch the obvious manager inappropriately touching his young female employees, rubbing their shoulders. Completely obvious sexual harrassment to a reasonable, educated, aware person.It made me and my friend extremely uncomfortable and we have Sexual Harrassment Awareness Training. Does Jims Steakout give this training to their employees? Do their employees feel empowered to express and report on the inappropriate situations that may be occurring or are the afraid to report because of perceived retribution against them? Probably the latter.Do better Jims Steakout. I doubt I will ever be back. DISGUSTING!
The stinger here was soooo good i liked that they did not chop it up like other jims do. Very friendly crew works here stop by. It was my first time there. But with that friendly crew and good food Im going back!

Very good choices and i struggled what to get. Ended up with the Jefferson and the steak in the grass. It could have been a 10 if there was a little seasoning on the meat and they forgot the cheese on all the subs, I added onion cheese on it at our house and melted it... so delicious!
Bought a chicken hoogie and ended up biting down into a very large sharp bone . Staff was apologetic enough and had me put my name and adress on my receipt so the can send me a gift card to make up for the meal I could no longer eat since I was now bleeding from the bone.Few weeks later and no gift card in the mail I went to the restaurant to inquire, staff then informed me that if I didnt have a receipt they couldnt help me. The irony was lost on them. I was sent away with nothing but a oh well we cant help you.

Jims is an excellent choice for dining after having a few drinks in Allentown. Just note that it can get very busy after midnight, so be sure to check your order before leaving as they often get swapped.
This Jims is always busy. Especially weekend nights. The offerings here are great, this is a local chain with alot of Subs and Sandwich options. Parking can be challenging around here sometimes.
I always see TV ads for this place when I watch ROH so I had my wife pick me up a hogie when she went to buffalo. 2 hours after picking it up and a trip through the microwave it was still very delicious. I wish I could taste a fresh one someday.
I dont normally write reviews but the decline in quality over the last few years warrants it. THE CHICKEN FINGERS ARE NO LONGER GOOD. They have switched from standard large delicious chicken fingers common in buffalo to kiddie-size supermarket fingers that have bad breading. Everything Ive ordered in the past 2 years has been bad and half of the orders are messed up. Turkey Hoagie came with very little sauce and meat. The Frenchie also came with very little sauce and was missing half the ingredients. Jims thought they could change all the recipes over the last 2 years, use lower quality ingredients, and give the customers less and its very obvious.

Make sure to crush/crunch up the bottom of the bag a little before eating.Definitely the best Chicken Finger & Stinger Subs, Philly Cheese Steak And Hoagies in all of NYS.The Philly Cheese steak is the closest to NYC street Vendor quality that youre find. Cause your not in the right state of mind to know any better...since I deal with them on a sober note- I am taken a back by how rude they treat customers on the phone...1st time let it go, 2nd like really ? And now 3rd..I cant even believe they are allowed to answer the phone this way and still have a job. Ordered 2 steak subs and 2 onion rings steak didnt have no sauce on it very dry and it didnt have any onions on it I ordered extra cheese to I was surprised it was not good.

Bought a Turkey club sub and 3 small beef taco special at Allen st location and all the tacos had more lettuce and tomato than meat,and to top it off my Turkey club sub was an untoasted,2 layers of Turkey and no bacon or cheese. Looks like Ill be going here less now.
First of all there are at least 5 other locations spread around WNY. The best late night fast food joint around. The Stake Hoagie and the Jefferson Avenue sandwiches are great. Its not a sit down spot more of a grab and go. If you find yourself in need of a snack at 5 am Jims is your place .... just not on Main street ...... its full of UB students most of the time!

Ive been eating here for years. Ive been eating here before the redesign, and at the peak of their late night barhopper crowd scene. Ive seen them at their best and worst, and I am glad to keep going back again and again.

Order a Jefferson & stinger the Jefferson had no sausage or stuff pepper the stinger had no chicken fingers on it the large fries was the only thing that was correct 32 buck down the drain
Tried and true. The staff keeps this place in pretty good condition and food is always timely.
Consistency isnt always there but theyre quick and always willing to fix mistakes. Even occasionally when theyre your own mistakes.
This would be a good choice if you have almost no other option for sustainance. (Its 3 am or youre about to collapse if you dont eat immediately)

Been 14 years since Ive been back to buffalo. That Philly steak with jims special sauce was worth the wait.
They always mess up your order and the workers do a terrible job. Area late night is absolutely terrible.
The employee was on the phone talking and not about business while Im waiting to place my order, then it wasnt until I got home he rang me up incorrectly and it wasnt the sandwhich I ordered.
Im going to miss Jims, will definitely have to visit when I visit Buffalo again.

2022-06-15Really dope food. We went in around midnight on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. We had our food within about 15 minutes. The fountain soda options are pretty poor. Got the Jims steak sandwich and really liked it. The 8 is pretty large. Didnt end up eating the fries as it was already a lot of food. There were some pretty sketchy people there at the time. One dude was very drunk and falling over. Recommend getting takeout if eating late night.

2022-02-20Staff at this location didnt seem to care about their job or customers. Ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap, chicken was raw. Onion rings were very greasy. The mac n cheese bites were decent. Would not recommend.

2018-03-03Service here is terrible. Ordered 3 tacos and it took over 15 minutes to get my food. The place was completely empty and had 5 people working. They said they were instructed to give all priority to Skip the Dish and Grubhub who kept coming in and getting food while I stood around.Edited this because I came back, service was just as bad. Avoid this place

2022-03-14These people had me on hold for a very long time not only did they had me on hold for a long time once they finally answered the phone they were very rude and once I was done ordering my food that’s when they decided to tell me that they were closing soon when it clearly said they close an hour later instead of saying goodbye they hang up right when I was still talking then I tried calling back and they kept ignoring my call Horrible service
