They overcharge for their food I mean if you got to charge those prices at least give more meat in the products that youre selling.
Went here for the 1st time in 10 years since I moved out of Buffalo and I must say the the Food was great! The customer service was excellent as well. Ordered Jims Famous and it perfection to my palate.
My hoagie was sloppy burnt inedible mess. Not the first time I have had messed up orders from this location.

Depending on which location you visit service can rate from good to average some locations still have tip jars if your server sees you drop change in a tip jar they are more likely to be pleasant I do not prescribed to this method because I think that as a franchise they should act Pleasant all the time I recently just started eating there again before covid I visited a location and while I was waiting the cook accidentally dropped what are the meat spachelor and without hesitation picked it up and continue cooking since Ive have returned they have made improvements they no longer offer a Jims reward card it is now directly connected to your email and credit card..................If you appreciate my review please like and share with others
The steak subs are awesome tried it 3 months ago for the first time been there about 15 times since theyre the best steak subs Ive ever tasted in this area I drive from Rochester just for these steak subs
Friendly and professional. I ordered their steak sub and its delicious. The fries were a little too over cooked for me but ill be sure to make a request for softer fries the next time Im in.
Ordered a 1 steak sub, 1 steak taco, onion rings and a banana pepper. We were told it would be 20 minutes so sat outside to wait. Finally went back in and sat at a table waiting for close to another 20 minutes watching people walk out that came in after us. Finally went up to the counter. The person taking orders had a different number for us??? He grabbed a bag and handed me the food. Of course there was no steak sub, had to wait again for that. We decided to just eat in the restaurant. The steak sub, the onion rings and the banana pepper were cold. Finally the steak taco was ready. It was little chunks of mostly fat. I was very disappointed. Talk about a total rip off!Jim and Kelsie couldnt have been more accommodating to fix the issue. Thank you both so much!!
My order was incorrect this afternoon and they corrected it by time 10s. Day manager was very nice and was willing to correct the mistake any way she can. She did and I appreciated her customer service. Top notch. Thank you 😊
Delicious and very filling tasty from first bite to the last ,french fries are by far some of the best available anywhere. Go with a friend and share your subs fun and delectable.
Great re introduction back to your hometown. Sweet potato fries were a little overdone bit still great food. One of the few places still carrying late hours post pandemic.
Fast easy food with a lot to choose from. if thats not good enough for you you can mix it up and they will custom make almost any sandwich from ingredients they have available. These are some very helpful sandwich makers and I am not related to them.
I know I shouldn’t eat this stuff frequently but their chicken fingers and burgers really do go hard & when the fries and everything are still hot it’s the best drunk or sober. I remember when Jim’s used to sell ACTUAL wings with the bone. Bring it back 👀👀
Food took way too long for a 6in chicken sub and only came with one chicken tender with fries over cooked and the Logan berry had a weird taste. $12 for that? Not impressed
There is someone who works here that is always pleasant, happy and cheerful. Just placed an order (couple minutes ago) and they are pretty busy but cashier managed to still be so nice. On my receipt the name says Abagail so I think that is her name. Its hard to be so nice all the time and give amazing customer service but Abagail manages to do that every time I see her.
Terrible customer Service !!! The manager working evenings slammed my food against counter after making it,& I told her she forgot to put tomatoes in my tacos & she opened the tacos and slammed tomatoes all over my tacos! She treated me Lee’s of a person and she was a supervisor!! She has Red Colored Hair !!! I will never support them again!! I felt humiliated by her and the way she treated my food while making it was trashy like she was feeding an animal!! No class, terrible Customer experience like she was raised with no morals and respect!!!
Jim Steak Out ( Delaware) is horrible now! It’s been some years that I haven’t ordered from them.. and now I know why. The manager said they have younger employees and due Covid .. well that’s a bad combination! Pray for Jim’s! My last order from them for life!

Dont bother putting in your order online the staff cant figure out the system without a manager present so I had to wait 35 minutes to get my food. My food was made sitting on the counter. But because it wasnt in the system could not take it. Was told I need to wait 15 minutes before picking up food the I made the order at 11:34 and came to pick it up at 12:00 waited till 12:10 to get the food. There was no line. So just order in store it will be faster

Worst philly cheese steak I’ve had. The food was super cold when it got here I ask for steak sauce and didn’t even put a drop. The sub was very dry and tasted like cardboard! I also purchased a blue cheese and they didn’t send it. Wish I can get my money back!!!
Ive been going to Jims for many years. Yesterday I ordered a French, steak sub, onions, mushrooms, steak sauce. Really good. I wish the roll was toasted though. About 3 hours after I ate it, my stomach did not feel good at all and still hurts 12 hours later. Chicken finger subs are really good a little on the pricey side though.
For one thing they were open till midnight. I ordered a frenchie, I havent frenchy, I havent had one in a long time and it was very good.
HORRIBLE! the stinger I ordered??? The steak was dry...chewy and absolutely no flavor! I asked for light oil and they put so much on that my roll was soaked! My Turkey and cheese sub??? They put a mix of the real cheap , thick, lunch meat Turkey and the thin shredded turkey... this place is KNOWN for their subs and its just garbage and I will never order from here again!
The guy behind the counter was cool to talk with but the food was just ok. There was no flavor. Other Jims has flavor and I love going to Jims because of it. Not this location.
Ive eaten here many of times. Always enjoyed my sandwich. Visit the one on Delaware today. I was blown away with my Steak Hoagie. It had so much meat. I could of made another sandwich. And it was the best one Ive tasted so far.

Returned after my last experience being horrible. (Messy, incorrect in multiple ways, missing an entire order of one item, missing extra dip I was charged for, late) the food was much better as far as how it was packaged this time. Everything was there. The food looked much better this time. Thank you! Ordered 7/23/19 around 10:40pm.
Food was delicious and the staff was very nice with excellent teamwork preparing our food and taking orders.
This location consistently has poor service, and it reflects on the quality of food they put out. I refuse to spend another penny there. The company really needs to evaluate their hiring process and quality control. I’m surprised this location has lasted as long as it has, but never again for me.
Great place very busy on weekends call your orders in 45 minutes ahead if you plan to wak in and eat
Unbelievable people. They do exactly what you need. You order the food and they bring it to you. These people should win an award. I eat here multiple times every day and NEVER have an issue.
I ordered a Jefferson Ave sub, it has sausage and steak, ordinarily this sandwich is quite good, not sure how they managed it, but this sandwich was so disgusting I threw it away. Messy, soggy, no flavor except tasting burnt, I asked for hot banana peppers, theychopped red and green peppers into it instead. Wont ever go back. Complete waste of time and money
Staff was very friendly. The gentleman who I can tell that he was a new hire made my Jefferson steak sandwich with my request for 5 jalapeño peppers and sauce on the side. Well he made it perfect. It was the best I ever had there. The place was also very clean. I would highly recommend this particular spot. Keep up the good work guys you all are awesome.
Forgot to put steak sauce on my sandwiches they were dry, other than that steak sandwiches were good,this is why Im giving it four stars.😟😟😟
Yo my favorite guy was working the register when I came in at 10 at night, place was packed, and there were only three people there total! But I still got my food in a timely manner, and every one of them was super nice despite being so busy. On top of that, the food is ALWAYS the best, and I absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Amazing chicken fingers, great hoagies and friendly staff! A great place for a quick bite or take out. Prices are reasonable and the rewards system pays off quickly. Great for late night. Offers online ordering and Skip the Dishes.

If the food wasn’t good, the rating wouldn’t be more than 1 star. My spouse and I order regularly, but tonight was frustrating. I ordered an 8” diavolo with chicken (instead of beef) and the Jims sauce on the side. I picked up the order, drove back and found that the sauce was on it and I got beef. I drove back (about 8:30pm) and an associate asked if he should “re-make it” for me. He did offer a free fry, I declined and just asked for what I ordered. He stated that he’d upgrade me to a 12”. They gave me my “order” and this time I checked it before leaving. They didn’t upgrade it to a 12”, and the sauce was on it again, not on the side. I had to walk out without saying anything else for my own sanity. None of the employees were mean, but it’s obvious that they didn’t care either...at least enough to make food the way it’s ordered.
My girlfriend just called to place an order while I was en route (8:35pm) They asked her whats the name to start, she confusedly said there is no name thinking they were asking for a finished order. They said What the hell you mean you aint got a name?! She laughed and explained her confusion, then stated a name for the order. They laughed and then hung up. Incompetent, impatient fools. Wont waste my time there again. Good food, a bit pricey but has nicely priced options too. Unique flavors and food items.
Food was good. But we waited for 45 minutes while all the door dashers dishes their orders first. This happened at 1:30 am, I wouldnt recommend eating there late at night
Friendly workers! I got the weekly special, the steak hoagie, and the meat was delish but the lettuce & tomato were pretty slimy. Next time Ill order them on the side and assemble my sub when I get home. The sweet potato fries were PERFECT. Super yummy, crispy and flavorful. They come with honey but I didnt need it.
Service is very slow and twice in two weeks my order has been wrong. This location, despite being clean and well kept, seems to employ evening and late night crews that dont pay attention or dont care about their job. Recommend going to a different location if its after 6-7pm and before the lunch hour.
Its a Jim Steak Out, so Im giving it 2 stars because I love the franchise. But this establishment is 0 for 3 on my time here. The first two times I ordered it came back wrong. Things get twisted and I know how that can go. But this last time, enough was enough. I had one order on my mind. CHICKEN IN THE GRASS. I ordered and was told they were unable to make anything on the grill due to there pilot light being out. I asked for any sort of compensation to settle on my order from the store manager Liz and was told nothing I could do. Thats fine but as a customer, Ill never buy from this location again. Also, Ill reconsider my decision to buy from other locations. If the customer were always right, a small favor would have gone a long way. Clearly here, thats not the case.
The cook and at least 1 other food handler had face masks only over their mouths, (not covering their noses) handling food with no gloves, and then to top it off, watched the cashier pick up and hang up the phone 3 times in a row while I was standing there. Just because its late shouldnt mean they get a pass to ignoring ordinances and common sense. I get they are teens, but managment should really step up in light of these times.I would stay away until covid 19 is over, thats really unacceptable, and its not worth getting sick for.
The customer service was excellent,but the sandwich wasnt its best. I also believe because it was a Friday and super busy. Their demeanor and matters were excellent.
Didnt get a chance to order because the signage didnt specify where walk in orders should stand. The cashier overlooked me and took two other customers instead of directing me to the correct line since I was the first one there.
I could’ve gone home, made my own chicken sandwich, walked back and eaten it in the tome it took them to make one sandwich at 2:30 am. There’s 6 employees here that I can see, and two orders ahead of me, so for being a low grade fast food place it takes forever to complete an order.

Well I understand maybe busy but to have someone wait over 5 min on the phone and pick up just to here please hold and right to hold musics is aggravating!!!! Waited over 5 min hung up and called back to not even get a please hold but right to hold music!!! Very depressing.
The location itself is decent. The employees are good. But unless you work for doordash or ubereats then your order is at the bottom of priority and you have to wait a long time for your order. Takes forever.
Not happy with the last 2 steak subs ordered. I ordered a steak hoagie from this location and it was so bland. Severly under seasoned. Two weeks later I ordered a Frenchy from your Chippawa location only to be disappointed again. The sandwich was so salty, I could not finish it. What use to be a satisfying experience, has really lost its appeal.Disappointed
Fast, friendly and good food.
Currently waiting over 20 min for a couple tacos on a slow Sunday night with only a few other customers in the store after being told it would be 5-10 min. Have waited over an hour for a sub on a busy night. If you need Jims, drive to Elmwood or Main St, youll save yourself a bunch of time. Theres a problem at this one, either understaffed or poorly staffed - the result is the same, you will wait a ridiculous amount for what is supposed to be fast food.
Always delicious food and quick service. Had a single finger wrap and it definitely hit the spot! Very reasonable prices for single items versus combos.
I ordered a 12 chicken finger sub, medium. It was right down the middle of Hot & Mild, the sub wasnt too sloppy or messy and everything tasted good. The customer service is 5/5 & the food got to me within 10 Minutes on a busy day. Great work
The food is average as what I usually get from here, however, the service goes down hill at 90 degree drops everytime. This will most likely be the last trip here. Everytime employees are disrespectful and slow. This time girl behind the counter was just staring at what I can only guess was puff the magic dragon. Because I had to tell her my order and ask for the total several times. Oh well guess its subway, Wendys or five guys for fast food now.
I wish I could post a pic of the burnt a** fry looking cigarette butts I got in a bag. Didn’t look like the picture. Tasted like dirt. Had them remade 2 times and they smell like dirty grease like they haven’t changed their fry traps in 22 years. Overall, very disappointed. I am not a worm so I don’t eat dirt. Thanks for your time.
A Buffalo favorite! Great hoagies and good food. Prices are average. Always attentive staff, tips are appreciated. Try the Diavlo if you can handle the heat (spicy), my personal favorite. Combined with o-rings and or fries and a large loganberry and you get a great fairly inexpensive meal.
Best chicken finger sub ever!
The usual steak and cheese hoagy. Always good and messy. Have visited Jims many times over the years. I remember when they opened on elmwood and served scatchias small bread filled with either sausage and spinach or steak and cheese with mushrooms. They always sold out they were so good you felt lucky when you had one.
Chicken finger sub was great but not put together correctly. I brushed it off as inexperienced workers.
We eat here often,, but Sunday night crew on May 10 made best subs weve ever had in Buffalo. Great job guys
Used to love the place. Now.... no employee takes the time to make a good sub. Why pay full price for a below average sub when there is 50 other places in Buffalo that take the time to make it the right way. Very disappointed. Lost my business for a while.
Ordered 2 subs. Told them I want chicken finger in oil and no lettuce. What I got was ice cold subs in mayo and more lettuce than meat. How can u mess up such simple directions. Horrible!! Deff would not recommend......
Late night Friday post happy hour... Bacon cheeseburger sub was awesome. Staffed by the little old ladies from the neighborhood. This has to be my favorite location.
I always get there Diablo but today I tried something different theres sub of the week bacon cheeseburger I should have stuck with the Diablo I really didnt care for it the bacon free the pre-cooked kind and it overpowered the whole sub and a quarter of it didnt have any meat on it
The manager with the colored hair screwed up my order when I asked if she could please fix it she threw my food and money all over the counter I wouldnt recommend their restaurant again she was rude and unprofessional very nasty lady please go else where.
This place is trash waited 45 min for a steak sub. Theyre clearly more worried about their door dash customers than actual customers in the store. Would give no stars if it was an option.
Awesome tacos and chicken finger sub. There many vegetarian and non vegetarian options in the menu. The best thing is this open untill 5 AM. So if you are hungry in night this is the place also free wifi is available. Place can be easily noticed from common traffic. Praking is free. Not expensive.
Simply the best Finger & Stinger Subs, Philly Cheese Steak & Hoagies!The Philly Cheese is definitely the closest to New York City street Vendor quality youll find. Make sure it has Mushrooms and Jims sauce.The Taco in a bag is definitely a must have. Who would have thought a bag of Doritos & Taco ingredients would taste so yummy. Remember to crush/crunch up the bottom of the bag a bit before eating.
Ok so jims steak out got my order incorrect after I specifically asked for chopped chicken sub deluxe. I dont consume much steak in my diet and since I live on the other side of town I decided to give it a try. I ended up with a stomach ache. The cashier that takes orders needs to be attentive and focused so things like this dont happen. .
Sorry but Jims sucks. They have a few good things on the menu and the rest of menu is only good when youre drunk out of youre mind. Ill still go back though. Its like McDonalds. You know is not very good but somehow you end up going back anyways. Plus the manager on Allen and elmwood was a real prick.

Normally a great experience. Im only in town once or twice a year. So Jims is a mandatory visit. But this time I had to visit 3 different locations. The 1st on Sheridan couldnt make make any hoagies. The 2nd was a 45 min wait. Had to go a 3rd just to get a Philly. SMH

Never anything right, 3 times straight not getting Jim sauce on side, ask for specific orders and they always svrew everything up, no onions, give me onions, sauce on side, lol no sauce for you, tomatos and lettuce, nah....Its like they just make whatever no matter how slow what time of night, literally the biggest disappointment in any restaurant Ive ever been to, known by all my friends as the worst Jims Im Buffalo. Do yourself a favor dont order here..
Male Staff was rude. He was impatient as we must have been a bother to him while he was training a girl. Doubt we will return however will try a different location.

The one on elmwood & allen has the best food while the one on delaware has rje best customer service. There Diablo is made exactly how I order a steak sub. So I like how I just give a name of sub instead of minus this and add that.
Loved the stinger hoagie. This place was way better than I expected. Fresh rolls, chopped up steak nicely and mixed in the cheese. Decent alternative for a philly guy in buffalo.

For drunk food, its perfect, for regular food, its eh. Open til 4am most locations. I recommend a taco in a bag if youre on the go and bar hopping. Make sure to grab a fork.
Its your usual Jims Steakout. Unhealthy food, but its very tasty. If your visiting Buffalo you should try this at least once. Get a side of fries and blue cheese to dip all your food in and enjoy a nice Buffalo style sub.
Subs from Delaware ave dont taste good anymore. Steak sub past 2 time was tasteless, could not taste steak sauce, cheese was not melted, meat dry w alot of fatty chunks or cheap meat that was not chop enough. Maybe subs are being cook too quick. I put it in the trash wasting my money and im still hungry😠
Once upon a time it was good quality and value now if youre out drinking its a quick greasy fuller youll regret in the morning and the next day or two that follows. I miss the days gone when it was good.

Ordered boneless wings & fries, when I picked up the grub a police officer was behind the counter. I was 🌵🔥 and this oinker grilling me raised my anxiety to say the least. To top it all off the boneless wings were soggy...bad mojo here.

Used to be excellent employees just crank food out without and care, steak hoagy just a few chunks of beef barley chopped a drop of sauce and a couple onions and peppers....far cry from what its is supposed to be...go to a diff one this one pales in comparison to the others
I purchased 2 steak hoagies both with lettuce, tomatoes, onions & cheese ; one also had mushrooms. Delicious. It compared to greatness of hoagies that I have purchased in Chicago.

Ordered a double cheeseburger. Guy on the phone double then triple checked it was a double cheeseburger. They charged me for it and gave me a single cheeseburger. Not going back.
Employees there were awful on today 5/1/2017 at 1 am. They messed up my order then forced me to tip them. The service was so bad that I had to cancel it and go to another place. Will not recommend. Avoid at all cost.

This food is very nasty. I wouldnt feed this food to my animals. I tried their food once and I was puking from all the grease.

2022-01-18January 2022: I forfeited lunch and saved space for dinner--the coveted Jims Steak out hoagie that is a must have for visitors to Buffalo, NY. I ordered the frenchy with steak meat and everything on it.Pros:* Good food on corporate dime...I can expense this meal.* Friendly staffCons:* The hoagie was tasty, but looked a bit thrown together or rushed. The presentation could be better.* The loganberry juice was watered down.

2021-11-23I used to love this location. I live near another one but still come here but was disappointed tonight 11/22 around 10pm.. ordered poutine fries and literally they threw just a few fries in the box. Never expected this from them.

2022-03-04My stinger was made wrong. The cheese is skimpy, steak and chicken fingers are dry. The chicken fingers seem not so fresh with skimpy sauce and why are they chopped... banana peppers that I paid for are missing... completely disappointed. Of course Im eating it because Im hungry and dont have time to go back to get it remade today.

2021-10-23OMG so much food and so good. I got the Hoagie Deluxe Bomber and the Mac and Cheese Bites. Everything was so delicious and very reasonably priced. Who doesnt love a good Philly cheesesteak?!

2022-06-08All I can ask is what happened. I paid over $40 for 2 sub combos. Fries tasted like dirty grease even though they were hot. Meat in the sub was chewy and had some cartlige pieces - Grose.

2021-09-16Ordered (2) 2 finger snack literally 2 min after the order they text my phone stating that the order is ready for pick up. Picking up the order and opening the box I was instantly disappointed by how sloppy and small portion it was and the food was not hot it was barely warm it needed to be heated back up in the microwave server name is Tomas N, I’m not sure if it’s the person who put the food in the container but he need to take his time and prepare petiole food properly

2022-01-28Food is great however the workers were blasting music inside the whole time. Everytime we would try to order something it was met with what? For like 3 times before I had to shout. When we got our food lots of items were missing like mushrooms and lettuce etc. Probably because the music was so loud and they couldnt hear it. What??... Whats was the?? Turn the music down when people come in jeeze

2020-07-18While the food is tasty the packaging is consistently horrible. No matter how many times I request they package the items separately or use different packaging they rarely do and I end up with a mess all over my porch, and rushing to get my food in a bowl before the bag breaks. Then I have to clean up any mess that has dripped on my floor in the meantime. I cant imagine what the poor drivers car looks like! They have no reason to know a horizontal item has been packaged horribly in a vertical bag. Until its leaking all over their car I assume. I have been ordering from this location since March but I wont be again.

2022-01-18Honestly so disappointed. There was literally barley any cheese on my poutines.... My sandwich was not really good truth be told.... And I actually pulled a few what looked like tiny little burn pieces of something out of my sauce when they sent me dips that I got.... My taco in the bag was honestly not good either... Not the first time they messed up my order recently and idk this time pretty much did it for me. I personally will not get this anymore. Kind of upset I spent money on this stuff when there are so many better options out there

2020-02-06Jims Steakout is a classic after the bar type of spot. This is what I always crave after a night of drinking. My favorite are the steak subs and the chicken finger subs. Most recently I ordered the chicken finger sub and it was so delicious. Prices are pretty decent as well. Ive ordered onion rings and fries in the past but the serving size is pretty small and not worth it in my opinion. Overall, good food and lots of locations. Keep up the good work!
