Dr. Kang is an amazing doctor, I highly recommend him to friends and I would recommend him to anyone interested in working with him. He is extremely honest and has a wonderful demeanor with patients. He truly has combined medicine and art in his practice.
Okay. I was looking for a doctor who can create slimmer jawline. I got the Jawline Botox on the masseter muscle to make the muscle slimmer and Ultherapy to tight the skin under my jaw/chin area for a more V line look.. Nothing was invasive, and I look more visibly slimmer while looking natural. If you have same issue as I did, please go see Dr. Kang! He knows exactly what’s best for your needs.
I got my rhinoplasty done here and it felt like he didn’t care (as well as the nurses). In my opinion, bad placement, poor stitch work, poor aftermath bandaging work. Only beginning was good care. Thats it. The scar tissue is huge on one side of inner nose area and it looks so bad. They priced me for something else at the time then made it higher when i reasked. Lol he was whispering to the nurses too. I went to a different doctor afterwards because I didn’t like playing telephone as well.
I found this place by chance and I’m very lucky to have. My mom is very hesitant about trying new places but this was the best decision! They treated her kindly and all the staff is amazing. The result were equally as amazing! Would definitely recommend!
He is an artist!! Today I just finished my nose filler with dr. Kang ! I felt so happy about the result ! He changed my look in 10mins in a very very natural looking way! I got my Double Upper Eyelid Surgery and a Fat Grafting procedure with Dr. Kang. I feel brighter and more energetic. The gaunt hollow look is long gone. He is very attentive to detail and is incredibly personable. And the staff are constantly checking on how thing goes. Overall is a very good experience .Thank you, Dr. Kang and staff.
This year I feel my face is coming down a little bit so I decided to have something done. I don’t really know what should I do and my friend recommend Dr. Kang to me. I had the fat transfer to my face. My face looks more soft than before. I really happy with the result. I also did my eyelids and thread lift. The excess skin has been removed and I feel I looks more energetic. My face is more lifted. My mom said I looks at least 5 years younger. The healing process is also very good. Now it’s only two weeks, and I think all the swelling is gone. I don’t even have bruises. Really happy that I found Dr. Kang. I will come back next year and maintain my youngness!
ReviewI got my lower blepharoplasty done by Dr. John Kang about 2 months ago, and it was definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made. After consulting countless different surgeon, I decided to choose Dr. Kang because of his expertise and how nice and accomodating his office and office staff are.The whole experience was amazing and smooth. The surgery itself was an hour long, and I was under local anesthesia, so I was awake. This was a very scary idea, but Dr. Kang and my nurse made the hour pass by with constant reassurance and interesting conversations!Post-surgery, I was given detailed instructions and the office calls to check in with you as well! The healing process went very smoothly for me and I was back to my normal life in no time—just with a much more lively face because of Dr. Kang’s great work!My eye bags were genetic and always made me look older and just sad-looking. They were especially apparent when I smiled, so I hated taking pictures. However, finally…I can smile all I want with such confidence! Therefore, I’m just so thankful for this surgery, Dr. Kang, and his staff. They’re always amazing and it’s enjoyable to come to my follow-up visits. Highly recommend this incredible surgeon! :)
After researching for months, I decided to go with Dr. Kang for my double eyelid surgery. I’ve had monolids all my life and wanted to look more awake/ confident without having to wear thick eyeliner everyday. Dr. Kang was able to achieve everything I envisioned and more. I haven’t worn eyeliner since the procedure and I feel so confident in my own skin. I was really surprised that I didn’t swell as bad as I thought I would. I would say the swelling subsided by 2-3 weeks and by 2 months, it looked amazing. All of my friends and family were worried it was going to look unnatural but after seeing the results, they were shocked how natural and pretty it came out. Definitely recommend Dr. Kang for double eyelid surgery!
As of lately, my eyes were losing its youthful look, and people always told me I looked tired - which bothered me so much I decided to get a consultation. I went into Dr. Kangs office with confidence as I am an avid researcher; as anticipated, Dr. Kang and his staff members exceeded my expectations. During the initial consultation, Dr. Kang generously answered all my questions while explaining the surgery process in great detail. One of the most notable traits of Dr. Kang was his genuine care for his patients. My first procedure was the blepharoplasty (double eyelid) and the lower eyelid surgery; the process itself was quick and smooth. Plus, it was an outpatient procedure, so it was quite convenient. When I arrived home, the ( so sweet!) staff members called me to check in on me and reminded me of how to after-care. The next few days after the surgery, I received follow up calls from the staff members asking if I had any discomfort and helped track my healing process.It has been about two months post-op, and my eyes look energized, focused, and more feminine! Honestly, I didnt know how much our eyes impact our impressions, and I am pleased with the results.As a woman who wants to maintain her youth (as much as possible, lol), I will surely be returning. I had Ultherapy and Jaw Botox done by Dr. Kang last year. The results of my face after the treatment was absolutely superb. My younger sister got her thread and lower eyelid done with Dr. Kang and I loved her results so I had to pay him a visit. There is not one doctor that Ive met, that is as real and passionate as Dr. John Kang. He is not like any surgeon, he is an artist. He will make sure, in his best ability to make all his work as natural as possible. This is why I chose him for my double eyelid surgery. I am a 50 year old male that was considering Blepharoplasty for a few years - i.e. bottom and top eyelids fat removed. Dr Kang did one of our family friends eyes a few years ago and she had great things to say about him. Then in early 2020, my sister had the procedure done with Dr Kang and it came out great. After a few months of contemplating it, I finally mustered up the courage to go for it. The experience with Dr Kang was terrific. Hes very straight forward about how youre going to look, what the recovery is like and what the procedure entails. He gave me alot of confidence that I would be happy with the results. The surgery took about 3+ hours - everything ran without a hitch. His staff follows up in the days immediately after and Ive also had a few in person follow ups with him as well. Everything was exactly like Dr Kang had said. Im very happy that I got it done - and Im very happy with the professionalism of Dr Kang and his staff.
Being in the fashion industry its important to look the part. Ive had experience with fillers before but I must say Dr. John Kang is the best! I had lip injections done before but they came out like duck lips making me never want to get them done again. I initially came in to see if I can get filler for my chin and Dr. Kang suggested my lips & nose bridge as well. Im glad he made those suggestions because his keen eye really made my face look more balanced. And he did a great job of making my lips look slightly bigger while still keeping it natural. Not only is his work great, but hes also very personable and makes you feel comfortable during the whole process.

I was planning to do an asian double eyelid surgery from Dr. Kang but I didnt expect my profile to be beautiful and natural as born in less than month. Bruises were negligible right after the surgery, swell went away in roughly four weeks, scarring was minimal as well. The recovery process was so pleasant that I started eating spicy food and put make up on two weeks after the surgery. Besides the eyelid job, I removed the mole on my face by surgery as recommended by Dr. Kang. The one-time shaving of pigmented surface saved me from repeated laser sessions which might darken my skin.
I had a temporal lift done by another doctor but the result came out not as expected, so my friend referred me here to do a revision face lift surgery. This was my first time visit with Dr. Kang – and everything about the experience was positive.I had gone into the office with a specific procedure in mind. However, I liked the fact that Dr. Kang consulted on the pros/cons of what I wanted and offered alternative options. He answered my questions and both he and the consulting nurse (Sunny) made sure I was comfortable with the options and pricing. Based on careful consideration, I went with an alternative option and could not be happier with the results. Dr. Kang was definitely one of the most honest and friendliest MD-surgeons I had ever encountered. He came highly recommended so I was so happy that my experience had went so well, from the very beginning to the end results (i.e. body and facial lipo-fat transfers). He was always communicative and transparent. He was careful to consider how each procedure/modification would not only improve my desired areas but also how and why they would Enhance my overall attractiveness. Procedures can be daunting, but his staff were so nice and comforting which made the experience as painless as possible. With Dr. Kang and his team, you could tell they really cared about their patients, their work, and the artistry of it all.
I first visited Dr Kang on the recommendation of a friend who had been seeing him for years and had only great things to say. Everything about my experience was wonderful as well. Dr. John Kang is a great doctor. I went there for a general consultation becasue I wanted to improve the shape of my face. I wondered if botox could make my face smaller. After I got there, Dr. John Kang chatted with me and observed my face during the talk. He advised me to get fillers on chin and nose bridge in addition to the botox. He is great at looking my face as a whole instead of focusing only on a specific area. I did botox and fillers after the consultation. The result is subtle but definetly crucial. The little amount of filler immideately improved my face shape even without the botox. It was a great experience. Dr. John Kang didnt advise any other dramatic procedure. It is hard to find a doctor who understands how to improve someones beauty without taking away his/her individual characters. I highly recommend you to consult him before you want to make any changes to your face.UPDATE* I did eye bag removal after the injections. Now its one month after the procedure, and I am very happy about my deceision. There was no bruise at all...Althought it took about one month for the swelling to disappear completely, nobody noticed I had this procedure after the first 5 days of recovery.

His entire office is accommodating, kind, and gave me a wonderful first experience with cosmetic enhancement, and I have complete confidence in his abilities to further my appearance with surgery.
I had around 10 small, flat moles / beauty marks on my face and I wanted to get them removed. I called the Dr. Kang’s office and scheduling an appointment was very easy. When I got to the consultation, Dr. Kang informed me that removing my moles only required surgically incising them instead of performing laser removal. He wanted to expose my skin to as little thermal exposure as possible, which was really nice. He gave me a lot of information about mole removal, which I really appreciate. He shaved off all 10 moles and the healing process was very quick, only about a week or so. Now I can barely tell where the moles used to be. The darkest mole grew back eventually, so Dr. Kang used laser to remove that one. After one week or so, the area had completely healed. So far, I do not see any signs of the mole growing back. The service at Dr. Kang’s office is great and the staff is all very friendly. He also has some very interesting reading material on pigmentation and dark spots that were very helpful for choosing his practice. Would definitely recommend going to Dr. Kang’s for mole removal.
I have only written three reviews my entire life. I am not one to write unless they are duly earned. I am 48 and want to look and feel my best age while still looking like fresh and like myself. With that said here are very few doctors who have the integrity and the ethical know how to keep a woman’s beauty her own while enhancing what she already has.Dr John Kang is by far the best at what he does and imparts all his incredible knowledge and amazingly keen eye to sculpt and be the artist he is. He truly has a gift and sees a woman’s true God given beauty and builds on that. To me as a woman I could ask for anything more and have entrusted myself to him as my Doctor.

This is a review of my one month post masseter reduction Botox and non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure with Dr. Kang. I walked into Dr. Kangs office wanting to enhance parts of my facial features that I always felt fell flat and I am happy with the results. Dr. Kang was skilled and able to enhance my features with non-invasive procedures that complemented my face. The office staffs were welcoming and the convenience of the office location was a plus. I recieved my lower eyelid and fat transfer with Dr.Kang and I love the results! I came in worried about how tired and exhausted I looked. Dr. Kang knew exactly what to do and reccomended removal of my fat bag and restoration of volume through fat. I look vibrant and more like me 10 years ago. He has done a fantastic job on winding back the clock for me. Im 1 month in my eyelid and fat transfer procedure but my healing process was so quick and a no brainer. Found Dr Kang through researching on the web after a year or so contemplating double eyelid surgery. This is his speciality, so I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. Its been almost a month now and they look amazing. Very natural results. Hes conservative with what he does to make sure youre not asking for something youll regret later. His staff is also very diligent about follow up care. A few days into healing, I developed an allergy/irritation to the antibiotic ointment. They calmed me down and immediately took care of things. Overall wonderful experience!

Had a mole on my face that was unappealing, so I went to a different doctor for a couple laser removal sessions. The coloring disappeared, but after time, it left a raised scar and it was really annoying to see since it was right in the middle of my face between my eyes. However, I came to Dr. Kang and we did an incision to remove the bump and now it’s completely gone and honestly healed great!

My daughter did nasoplasty in China and it went wrong, she got a really bad infection and we needed to do something. Dr Kang removed the insertion in the nose. He was really careful and prescribed medication for her. The infection is now gone. He knew exactly what he was doing.
I was referred to Dr. Kang after hearing so many positive comments about him. I came in because I wanted a lift and wanted Ulthera. After I consulted with Dr. Kang, he recommended that I get a volume replenishing filler done. Dr Kang helped me realize that ulthera was not what I needed, it was the volume replenish. He really shed light that i was losing more of my volume and I’m thankful for going to Dr. Kang rather than opting for another Dr.

I strongly recommend Dr. Kang for Blepharoplasty (upper eyelid) surgery. He did an amazing job and the whole process was flawless. For the past 10 years, Ive been on the fence about when Id get my eyelids done... mainly because I never found a doctor I could trust to do a good job. I was researching on blepharoplasty one day and found Dr.Kang. After reviewing his past work, I felt hopeful and scheduled for my consultation. Once I came in for my apt and met with Dr.Kang, I got a really positive impression. Dr.Kang is highly skilled doctor with an extensive knowledge in facial surgeries - especially in blepharoplasty. It was reassuring that he knew what eye shape I wanted and had no doubt about achieving it. Dr.Kang is honest and transparent about his work and was welcoming of all questions. I trusted Dr.Kang would do a stunning job and so scheduled for my procedure.From booking appointments to bedside manner, the staff here is amazing. They provided me with warm and friendly service and made sure I felt comfortable. Also really appreciate how attentive the staff is with practicing COVID safety - taking temperatures upon arrival, administering sanitizer, and keeping patients at a safe distance from one another. Lucy (who I spoke with majority of my time here) is the sweetest! She answered all my questions and addressed any concern I had. I felt absolutely safe with the entire team here.Its been 2.5 months since the procedure and I am far beyond happy with the results. The procedure was painless and the bruising took me about 2-3 weeks to completely fade. Friends and family have complimented on how nice and natural it looks. Im extremely satisfied with the results.Overall, I had an amazing experience and its been a complete pleasure to work with Dr.Kang and his staff. 10/10 would recommend - Dr.Kang is truly amazing!

I have been thinking about getting eyelid procedure for a long time especially since when my right eye developed double eyelid as I’m aging but not my left eye. So I found Dr. Kang from google and his instagram shows that he is very experienced in this procedure. His results look natural from the pictures.I had my worries after the procedure whether my result would be good and symmetrical. Now it’s been one month and the result is very promising as my left eye is still swollen. But I have to say Dr. Kang is the best. He seemed to know how to work on my eyes that weren’t the same shape originally. He made my right eyelid bigger and the left eye to match. Even with a little swelling, my eyes seem better and prettier in my opinion. My friends and family also said they look natural so far.The nurse team is also the best!! They are constantly following up by texts and phone calls and address all worries.I’m still a little worried about the scarring but I have confidence in Dr. Kang that he will make sure my eyes will heal perfectly without the scarring.Hope this review helps those who are looking to do eyelid procedure here in NJ or NY. No need to go to Asia to do this. LOL.I also did lower eyelid to remove fat. Very happy with the results… even within 2 weeks my lower eyes looked good already.
We have come for my sister, because I saw the most natural thing almost that it was not noticeable that she had operated on her eyes, that is why I flew from Barcelona to Shanghai, and together with my sisters we came to the JK clinic in New York, we really liked the result It is super natural, after 10 days of my operation, I just look younger and nothing more, John Kang is a very good doctor, he is a great artist.

2022-03-12I was referred to Dr. Kang by my Korean Eyelash Extension Technician. She told me how reputable he was in the industry. So, after my consultation with him I finally decided to get the upper & lower blepharoplasty and also take off a really large mole that I had. Everything looks really great now that I have healed. You can hardly tell I got anything done! The place where my mole used to be is nonexistent as well. I highly recommend Dr. Kang to anyone looking to get their eyelid surgery/mole removal done. 2022-03-09I had a double eye lid surgery done 10 years ago by another surgeon and was never completely happy with the results. I wasnt sure if it was something that could be fixed but I found Dr. Kang and was able to see from his approach during our consultation that he could make the creases better for me. I have returned to work doing modeling about 1.5 months after the surgery and I am very happy with the results. Because he made the fold more crisp, I no longer need to strain my eyes during photo shoots giving me less headaches 😃. Overall my image is still very similar to before but much more enhanced and natural looking.

2022-02-18Roughly, about 8 years ago, Dr. Kang performed a mid face lift surgery. I loved the results. So natural without any scars… But, as time passed by, my jaw and neck area was losing elasticity and becoming lax. So, I had Dr. Kang perform a lower jaw/neck facelift through around the ear incision approach. Initially I was a bit apprehensive as I have seen a few of my friends who had similar surgery done elsewhere with notable scarring in front of the ear. Needless to say, Dr. Kang hit a home run again! Not only is my jaw and neck tightened beautifully making me 10 years younger…, but just as important my ear incisions are healing up beautifully! He always makes me feel safe and delivers great results. Thank you so much to Dr. Kang and his wonderful staff.

2022-05-17Dr. Kang is an artist period. Hes known for making his patients look very natural. If you want your face to scream I got cosmetic surgery, this isnt the place to go. People around you will notice something has definitely changed (youll receive compliments), but they wouldnt guess it was an actual cosmetic procedure - thats how good he is. Hes very familiar with the Asian face anatomy, so many of his patients are Asian (Dr. Kang is fluent in both Korean and English; not sure if he speaks Mandarin, but I believe his office staff do). Hes also very upfront with you at your initial consultation - hes very honest about what he can do, what he recommends, doesnt hype up results, and tells you exactly what kind of results you can expect. He makes sure he and the patient are on the same page before scheduling any procedures.Most importantly, when youre getting your procedure, he will take his time to get it exactly right (hell even work after regular office hours if necessary). He may ask you to sit-up during the surgery several times, so he can keep checking and adjusting throughout the procedure. For instance, he will MAKE SURE your eyelids are symmetrical and aligned before he even lets you walk out of the operating room. The office staff are great - they will follow-up with you post-surgery by calling you for the next several days and answer any questions.You will feel very comfortable during your consultation, day of surgery, and follow-up visits. I mean, its surgery for your face so naturally youd be nervous, so I love that Dr. Kang and his staff make patients feel comfortable and understood - its a safe place. Thank you Dr. Kang - highly, highly recommend him and his team!Just a note - Im not the patient, my mother is, but I was with her throughout the entire process from the initial consultation, day of surgery, and follow-up appointments. My mother is extremely happy with the results, and I must say, she looks 10 years younger!

2022-03-23I began coming to Dr. Kang for Botox injections on my forehead and around the eyes from July 2021. I’ve become a loyal patient from the first treatment I received from him. The results have always been amazing.The injection areas are wrinkle-free and I am genuinely happy each time I look in the mirror. He recommended a syringe of filler during my last visit and I have never felt better. I got my nose bridge injected, and a slight pinch on my chin and nasolabial area.I love how Dr. Kang is honest and never tries to oversell anything. He just tells me how it is and what I might like or would benefit from. Thank you, Dr. Kang and staff!

2022-09-07Because I go to back to Taiwan often, in the past, I always got my Ultherapy done there… But ever since Covid, I had to find a local Plastic Surgeon, and I am so glad I found Dr. Kang. I don’t know how he does it, but his Ultherapy result is so much better… In fact, even though I am finally going back to Taiwan after more than 2 years due to Covid, I just got my updated Ultherapy with Dr. Kang because he is that good.. He also combines the Ultherapy treatment with very tasteful combination of Botox and Filler… and the result is sheer Magic… Natural and Subtle… Thanks to Dr. Kang and Staff, I look forward to great vacation in Taiwan, looking & feeling Young!

My girlfriends highly recommended Dr. Kang as he is very famous in our community!My friend had her upper and lower eyelid surgery done this past month and she looks phenomenal. 2022-06-14I came to doctor Kang for lower eyelid surgery and picosure a couple months back. I had fat in my lower eyes which made my eyes appear puffy and tired. Upon my initial surgery date, we had to postpone due to eye issues. I was glad Dr.Kang advised me to reschedule so I could get cleared by my eye doctor. My trust for him went up as he was very considerate and had the best intentions to keep me safe.After getting clearance to have surgery, the entire procedure was great. Dr.Kang and his staff were very kind during and after. I loved how my eyes turned out. I no longer have heavy bags making me look older! I decided to get picosure laser to seal the deal for my makeover. The pico worked very well and made my skin brighter and clear.Overall, I am very happy with my experience. Dr.Kang managed to make me look younger and happier which is more than I couldve asked for. But foremost,he is a responsible physician and surgeon who truly understands that patient safety and well being comes first before embarking on any elective procedures.. for that he gets my highest regards.

2022-08-03I recently had revision double eyelid surgery with Dr. Kang. I had my initial surgery 11 years ago by a different surgeon in NYC and I often felt the crease was too shallow. It took me 3 years to finally make a decision to get a revision surgery. I knew I would circle back to the thought of getting a revision at some point in my future.I discovered Dr. Kang after doing some research and looking at portfolios of various Korean-American surgeons in the city. I was looking for a surgeon with extensive experience and an artistic eye, as this would be a second surgery. I liked Dr. Kangs results the most as I felt that they were the most consistent, and if I fell into that generous statistic, I would have satisfactory results.Currently, I am two months post-op and most of the swelling has subsided. In retrospect, maybe I thought too deep and hard about this procedure, largely because it is an elective procedure. I feel very satisfied with the result so far, as well as the entire experience. Dr. Kang and his team have always made me feel comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend Dr. Kang if you are ready to get a revision surgery - you will be in good hands. =]

2022-03-28Aging is inevitable. My eyelids were heavily drooping and uneven because of worsening ptosis. So, I came to see Dr. Kang for a consultation for an upper blepharoplasty with ptosis repair three weeks ago.Dr. Kang was extremely charismatic, intelligent, and professional. He won me over to schedule the surgery right after and I couldn’t be happier. Along with the upper eyelid surgery with ptosis repair, he recommended I get some thread lifting done as well.I am very happy with the results. My face has been pulled back and lifted while the eyelid crease is now symmetrical with a bigger fold! I’ll be coming back for some Botox next visit.
