I just had to write this review because I went to pick up an online order and the young lady in the front , I think her name was Millie, was absolutely phenomenal . She was smiling and happy to be there and genuinely happy to help me . She answered all of my questions , gave me ideas and showed me a few things that I ended up purchasing . I was just so pleased because she made my experience a memorable one . These times now a days needs friendly people , caring people and just some good ole conversation. You never know what others are going through , so kuddos to this Joanne fabric store for picking such an excellent person to represent them.

Bought this to make a new blanket instead of trying to buy one already made and I got this at 70 percent off so I bought like 3yrds for 11$ so its a pretty good deal way better than if I bought one premade in say Walmart
Took my granddaughter to the learn to see class this morning. It was excellent! The teacher was patient a d helpful. My granddaughter made a lovely pillow and we bought more fabric so she can make some at home. Great time for bonding and learning a new life skill. Highly recommend this!
Staff was nice and helpful.I went in to put together a crocheting kit for my mom. I had a list of things to get, so when I asked for help, Mena was very helpful in showing me where everything was.
This store has great employees who are so helpful and really take the time to listen to what Im making and give advice or suggestions accordingly. Unfortunately this store has a terrible manager, Eddie who is hot-tempered and refuses to be friendly with his words, actions or mannerisms. He offers no help, is always rude and doesnt want to be bothered. If you do go to Joanns, do your best to avoid him and you should have a pleasant experience.
Im not a ceafts peraon and am therefore needed akme assistance frkm staff for my project. The twk peolle who helped me were knowledgable at pleasant. There was also a very large selection of materials and other items. This store is a very good resource.
This Joanns has a wonderful selection of fabric of all colors, patterns, and materials. It also has lots of sewing accessories and is nicely organized and feels clean and bright.
Those sensors they have throughout the store are absolutely ridiculous. While trying to compare items I had to walk through one that went off none stop. Im hoping it was an alert to staff that someone was in a certain department and may need assistance, however, no one came by or offered assistance in any way. The prices were comparable to other craft stores but offered a 25% discount which was nice. I would probably shop online rather than go into the store. It was a little overwhelming.
They didnt have all of the things I wanted but the store was neatly organized.
It is the store with many stuff for craft, but I feel like the staff just busy for their organizing, when I ask they just said oh yeah, that is all we have and I just silent to take a look with all of their stuff. But when I check online they have the thing I need. My suggestion is checking your update online for customers, please,
Nice selection of fabrics, notions, and scrapbooking paper. Friendly staff. They’re often not knowledgeable about the areas they are working but that is when I talk to another customer instead. The customers/crafters are almost always really friendly. I’ve only run into one and she admittedly said of herself that she’s not a crafter and she couldn’t even thread a needle if needed.Bathroom needed serviced when I went but I was able to tell a friendly staff member and they said it would be taken care of as soon as possible.
I visited the store being I got a sewing machine for Christmas. They are well stocked. But I asked for help and was directed to someone else that was fine except the girl who took care of me was so rude and basically yelling at me because I didn’t know what I needed with the pattern I was purchasing. I went ahead and bought the fabric and the patterns but now I have to go back to get the other things needed to complete this project. I won’t go back there to be treated that way Sadly
Im in the process of restoring an older boat. I prioritized the technical over the aesthetic. Now that I want to deal with the exterior qupholstery, Joanns will be my go to. They have stock of many colors made by Alpine, and if Im buying this sort of product, I prefer to see it firsthand.
This place has everything you need for a nice quiet night in of crafting. I was able to get everything I needed for my nieces Halloween costume thanks to a great employee helping me out with finding those tricky last minute items 😁
I Love going to Joann Fabrics, but on the last time I was there I was very displeased with one of your employees, I am a dog lover and a senior citizen and I travel with my Chihuahua in a dog stroller which is completely sealed up with a net so when I go to the stores keeps my dog in place since people always wants to say hello to the dog. On that particular day I was sitting looking at the pattern books had stroller Right next to me facing the file cabinets out of peoples way, this lady came out of Left Field and banged her self into the stroller and my dog barked at her, she didnt excused her self, she went to complain about my dog, your employees was walking and talking out loud in the store before approaching me out loud saying in an unprofessional manner MAM no dogs are allowed in this store, I lost my mind and expressed my my opinion and I was asked to leave, I will not return to that particular ever again 😒😡.
Jo-Anns Fabric Store is a fabulous source of sewing materials & Equipment & lessons. My only complaint is short staffing, too much pressure on staff to cover lessons, check out, & customers questions.I would expect Joannes Fabrics to stock the basic items listed in the patterns they sell & use for lessons, especially something as basic as ½ inch wide braid! While hunting for braid I asked yet another new sales person who said they dont carry braid, even though I have bought it there before. It is so obvious this place is interested in profits to the exclusion of customer service I am surprised they are still in business and attribute that to a thuggish business ethic that drives out competing businesses that could provide far better service and good will to regular customers. When I started sewing my source was a family run business whose staff knew sewing and graciously shared their knowledge.
Store is a bit crowded but they have a good selection of fabric and other craft supplies. I always find what Im looking for. Cashier was nice and even gave me a coupon for next week.

I have shopped at JoAnns got years and always enjoyed the experience. This was the first time shopping in this store and I was in crafting and sewing heaven. It is spacious, well stocked and I can get lost in it for hours. I highly recommend it.
Staff was super helpful and so nice. I placed and online order for pick up and of course remembered other things I needed on my way. I was still in and out in under 5mins. Love this location.
Joann fabrics has change alot. Very disappointed in fabric choices and color. It seems they are starting to lean more toward home decor and crafts than fabric. The only other place for me to get fabric local is walmarts. Thats not really an option for me, and i do not like buying fabric online. You cant realy get a good sense of color, or be able to touch the fabric. I wish they would add more fabric with better choices.
Visited on 4/12/18.. around 1 pm.. 1 register open.. line with at least 7 people waiting.. cashier/manager was ringing a women who was buying many sheets of scrap book paper.. first he was ringing each sheet.. not bunching the ones that were the same together.. then the lady did not one 1 of the sheets.. he asked that she return it to the shelf.. while she was gone he stopped ringing because he wanted to ask her if she wanted 2 of the sheets that rang a different price.. He saw that a lady and I started talking and complaining to each other that this was crazy.. he said out loud to everyone that the lady had many sheets of paper.. the lady said she was sorry.. I aid its not your fault they need more cashiers.. he said he was the manager and that they would not allow him to put o more staff.. we said that was insane.. he went on to say that it would be about 1 /2 hour until he was done.. many of us said are you kidding.. I said well I dont think we r going to wait that long.. he said stop getting loud with me.. myself and many others laughed.. when it was finally my turn he said that I was getting nasty.. I said I wasnt that we were laughing because of what he was saying.. anyway.. if what he was saying is true.. you need to hire more cashiers.. if not.. he needs to go..
Staff is unhelpful and rude. Wouldnt tell me if they had calligraphy pens or not. They said, if we have them, they are over there, indicating a 10-aisle part of the store that I already searched. Store has a very small selection. Go to Michaels or hobby lobby instead.
You will find something here. And the staff are so polite. A great selection of fabrics and crafts. Its a great last minute place if you cant go to the garment district in the city
This was a first for me at a fabric store and the personnel there was just Amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and courteous. The prices were right and the overall experience was EXCELLENT.
Many of the employees at this Joanns location are Cosplayers. This is a very helpful skill that allows the staff better assist you with all your sewing projects. The staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable. This location also has a classroom and offers a wide range of classes, all from beginner to advanced including Wiltons classes. There is also a Viking Sewing Gallery inside the store, which sells & repairs sewing machines. They also take trade ins & offer their own classes as well. Its a great place to shop for all your creative needs, wether you love crafts, sewing or baking!
I love this store. The quality of the fabrics is top notch. The employees are very helpful. They spend time with you should you need help.
There were sections on wheels in between the aisles. WAY TOO CROWDED. Absolutely NOT wheelchair friendly. As for the associates, they were AWESOME!

Quality experience. Helpful staff and left my wife there for a while and went down the way to harbor freight. Then got my wife later, she was highly entertained and will be making me a hat
Very sloppy store. Product on floor, fabric not put back properly. There was a customer who wanted to check out, but there was no one at the registers. Ladies room not clean. Ill be going to the Scranton store from now on.

Only place in town where you can find blackout fabric in 6 different shades, and real oilcloth, and the best-rated sewing machines. And really nice, helpful salespeople.

This is a smaller store so the selection isnt as large as were used to in other cities. Also the managers were VERY pushy on signing people up for their in-store classes, which was a little annoying.

My partner likes to buy fabrics and threads. He tells me that they have good prices and a good assortment. The store looks neat and the employees are friendly and efficient. My only criticism is the sound of some alarms every time you enter some aisles and they continue to sound until you leave them. They annoy not only because of the noise but because of the assumption that you are a thief.

2019-07-09I love this store. Spoke with 3 different staff during my visit and all of them were very helpful. The day after my visit I realized one of my fabrics had a big rip in it, luckily I only bought 1/4 yard of the fabric but still rendered the item useless. (I removed a star as a result). Unroll and look at the front and back of the facric prior to purchase. The rip wasnt on the top of the fabric and visible so myself and the employee were unaware. Unfortunately, even with the sale prices some of the fabric is still expensive and would be significantly less $$ if I needed several yards I would buy it online.

2021-11-21This store was a real big mess. Not much of a selection and just a really tiny store. The only employees there were at the from checking people out so it was difficult to ask questions. But I like JoAnns generally since they have great options and good sales- this location just needs a revamp.

2021-10-08Needed cotton yarn. Preferred a cone, but colors I was looking for could only be found in 3 ounce balls. Selection of colors in cones is better than at Walmart, but companies do not make a wide selection of colors on cones. The prices are higher than at Walmart, but I found a color combination I needed. Michaels did not have anything I needed and for this project I did not want cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby as their selection is limited and their yarn stretches too much. Like the color combination I found at Joanns. They had other color combinations I liked, but will try to get it when it is on sale (like it was last week).

2021-07-02I went in for a sewing machine, but I had no idea what to get. First, I was greeted nicely at the door and directed right where to go. Kathy (or Cathy...I dont remember which spelling) was very knowledgeable and sold me precisely what I needed! I walked out a very happy camper and look forward to the owners classes when they start up again.

2020-12-18So many fun finds for holiday crafting and decorating. One of the best collections of Stitch fabrics in any of the Joanns Ive been in. Just what I was looking for. Nice selection of remnants for the sensory blankets I need to make. Staff was quick to come to the cutting table and got us out fast.

2020-11-09I got amazing boxes for my bridal proposals. A great bargain, 60%off. The two cashiers were sweet and a joy to share my intentions. I was delighted leaving the store. I have purchased other things for the wedding online. Will be back.
