Joes Pizza in other cities:
Great place that is absolutely bustling during the day but especially so late at night (were talking about 11pm) so be prepared to wait if you have late night munchies. Surprisingly it was the least busy during the normal dinner time hours. All of the pizzas we got were delicious. The crust is thing and has a great crunch to it. The Sicilian square is also good with a nice soft puffy crust!Items we tried as of 7/2022:- Caprese - $4.75 per slice- Pepperoni - $4 per slice- Sicilian square - $4 per square- Cheese - $3 per slice. We actually came here twice during our stay in NYC it was that good!
Went there on a Sunday night at 9 pm on Labor Day weekend before going to an Alan walker rave at Webster hall. The line was about 15 people out the door. So we definitely had to try this. The place smelled amazing. And the pictures of all the celebrities were so fun to look at. The gentleman at the register was real lively and laughing and cracking jokes with the customers. Got a cheese and meat lovers pizza for about 9 dollars. There was so much meat and toppings on the meat lovers slice. Could not wait to get back to my hotel room to eat it. This is what New York pizza is about. Not too greasy, the integrity of the crust was perfectly balanced. The cheese was perfectly cooked and not too melted. I got back at 4 am after the rave and had my other slice of pizza left and have never been happier in my life. If you’re around lower Manhattan or midtown Manhattan you have to visit one of their locations. This was one of my favorite places I went to spending the weekend in the city on Labor Day. If I’m ever back in the city for some time I’m making sure I come back to this one or a different location.
Was in NYC this past week for the first time. Knowing I couldnt leave without trying some authentic NY style pizza, my first (and what turned out to be only) pizza stop was at the nearby Joes. The smells, the crust, the toppings were all so amazing! I ended up stopping by a couple more times during my week there to grab a slice and now Im at home in the Midwest and hungry wanting another slice of Joes pizza. Cant wait to come back to NYC and grab a slice!
The most NY type of pizza you want.. pies you can fold and munch down.. cheap eats with lots of authentic delicious flavor.. NYC famous and a must stop.. so good we ate there twice.. small place inside but customers usually eat quickly and move on..so with patience you could find a spot inside or sit outside in the covered seating..
Large slices, fast yet friendly service, and a bit of history is what youll find at Joes Pizza on Fulton Street. I went here pretty much every night I was in New York and every single slice was delicious with a crisp crust. They stay open until 3 AM so its a great place for a late-night bite after the bar or club. Definitely coming back here again!
Delicious New York pizza and, according to a wall of fame, seems to be a favorite of many celebrities! The pizza pies here are giant! We went late at night, and the place was packed. We didnt mind because we were thankful to find something open to get something to eat! I honestly dont know why New York is called the city that never sleeps because just about everything closes early, and its near impossible to find a store open or a place to eat at night. Thank you, Joes pizza, for saving the day and staying open late!
Wonderful eatery in the Financial District. Very efficient and friendly staff. Pizza always hot and made from scratch. Price was excellent and small outside dining area was a nice addition. Had travelled all day to NY and asked the Bellman at the Millennium Hilton where would be the first place he ate after check in and he said you ever been to Joes? Then went out on the street with me and showed me the way. Ate there two times in three days. Loved the place, you will too.
Very good pizza for sure, but definitely on the pricey side for pizza. The place is pretty small, they also sell overpriced merch. The wall is covered with photos taken with celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Selena Gomez, JLo, etc, and it has been seen in the Spider Man movie!
Good spot to stop at for a bite of pizza for sure. I got the two slices of the classic cheese pizza and both were good and light. There was a small wait for 10pm on Saturday but that’s expected given how popular this place is. There’s a spot outside to eat your pizza at too so everything is set up conveniently for you. The inside of the store is plastered with photographs of celebrities which is cool to look at as you wait for your slices or pie. Overall solid experience but I think I’d rank this spot after some of the other ones that I’ve tried (Di Fara, Lucali, John’s, L&B, etc)
The guy at the cashier couldnt speak proper English and got angry at me because I couldnt understand what he was saying. He was probably an immigrant from some Latin country thinking hes doing us a favor. Pizza was ok but that guy ruined my experience. Still not as good of a pizza as the dollar pizza somewhere else.
The classic New York slice. The nonna Maria is absolutely the best pizza Ive ever tasted in my life. Delicious and perfect place to chill and grab a slice in Manhattan..Hands down best pizza Ive ever had!! Unbelievable. Sad that I will never taste pizza this good again unless I visit here again. Pepperoni, Nona Maria and Buffalo Chicken slices. Great value and great flavour..!!!
Joes Pizza was the unexpected first love in NYC. I didnt expect to fall so hard, but I did it anyway. Their Caprese Pizza was so tasty and not just in a post drunken night sort of way - its the pizza that you will try sober and want to continue eating in broad daylight. They have a wall full of celebrity Joes fans - I now know the reason why 😉
Nothing special about the pizza it was average. They dont sell alcohol have to sit on bar stools I thought it was a little underdone I believe the pizza was $4.50 for a combo piece wasnt worth anymore. Staff seem to light professional but this pizza place is nothing right home about.
Stumbled upon this place by coincidence. We were hungry and saw a woman on the street with a pizza box, saw the name and decided to go and give it a try. We had no idea about the fame of this place, which was obvious once inside and saw all the pics on the wall. The pizza was really good and tasty. Too bad there isnt a good place to sit and enjoy.
I live in Boston now after growing up in North Jersey and living in the city in my 20s... was staying a few blocks away and needed a slice after an event at the Garden. I was so freaking happy to have this positive, fast, tasty pizza experience. You literally cannot get that anywhere else in the world.
Very decent NY style pizza. It was very crowded so it must be quite popular. They’re open till very late. The pizza was 4-star good! I am very picky with pizza. I would give it a 4 1/2 star if I could. The staff was very busy, most were Spanish speaking and were very friendly towards me and my kids. We are from Puerto Rico, btw.
Honestly, the best tasting pizza Ive had in my life. I got a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni, and the pizza (that came out immediately) exploded with flavor in my mouth from the first bite. In addition, I paid $7.25 for the two slices (together), which I feel was a bargain.I recommend folding the slice when you eat it, because the slices are thin and can be messy.
Just had my lunch of pepperoni & mushroom slice and a diet Snapple ice tea in this location, my first__and trust me_it wouldnt be my last! Ive eaten pizzas in different places but this one is delicious for me: not too salty or too spicy pepperoni, the crust was crunchy and I didnt have the aftermath of feeling the crust scratched my upper mouth❤ Again, really tastes so good! I was tempted to get another slice__but, I remember my 2021 resolution: Eat proper portion. So, I just took pics of the place😊 There was a wall of famous celebrities pics, and I gazed to some of them--but, I was more interested and awed how good the slice I just eaten, so, I left hurriedly and didnt finished ogling them___or else, Ill end up buying another slice! THE END.
Being from Houston I had even heard of Joes pizza. Blew expectations out of the water with the quality of the pizza and how fast they were. I can see why celebrities across the world come here for a slice even when they could afford something 100x the price of a $4 slice
Nice pizza. The dough is well cooked and is perfectly thick, the toppings are delicious and the ingredients seems well chosen. The best slice for me was the classic margharita, wich got a nice garlic flavor. Even at rush hour you are served quickly , the staff is not loosing any time but that make them look a little bit rude. Still a great pizza place in NYC I would recommend to take away some nice slices and eat in one of the parks near by.
Solid NY pizza. there are a ton of great places to get a NY slice, and this is one of them. was staying nearby at the aloft in the financial district off ann street, and i was still hungry a few hours after eating dinner, but i didnt want to eat a huge meal.when in NYC, a slice is exactly what you need for this. joes is one of the places that you will find open at 10 pm on a tuesday in the financial district, and the quality is solid and the service is fast. a sausage slice with a 20 oz bottle of coke was $7.75...reasonable.
They have really good pizzas the service is quick didnt have to wait too much. The best part is these guys are open untill 4 in the morning the price is also very reasonable. The walls are decorated with some celebrities. They also have some cold drink options to choose from.
Amazing pizza place, I wanted to visit this place because of spiderman movies, it was my childhood movies. When I got the opportunity to visit NY first thing in my bucket list was to visit this place and it did not dissapoint. Prices were in the normal range too. Maybe the best pizza in town, others that I tried were not as good as this one.
The pizza here is amazingly delicious! I love my pizza thin with just the right amount of cheese. Staff was quick and friendly. A busy pizza shop. People are coming in and out. While eating there I was entertained by all the photos of famous celebrities on the wall who all have visited there. Pretty neat spot. Not too pricey either. Paid $3 for the cheese pizza.
It is a small space but the pizza was hot and fresh. I love the crispy, black crust. They also had Diet Dr. Pepper which made me very happy because it’s not always easy to find. They had a wide variety of pizza available, from the traditional cheese, pepperoni, and supreme; to the margherita and white pizza. It might not be the cheapest place to get pizza in NYC but the quality is worth the price hands down!
Sorry to leave a bad review during COVID but its 100% of the time. On my ~10th order within 3 months. Delivery for 1 pizza ~50$ all said and done. Delivery happens within 30 mins (fast af) but the crust is NEVER crispy, and completely floppy except the last inch. The top of the pizza is always cooked through, making it hard to finish the pizza up once it gets here. 50% of the time, you cant pick up a slice without absolutely everything falling off. My last order was the worst, fresh mozz pizza with 2 toppings was 90% sauce, 10% mozz, floppy, absolutely no basil etc.loaded it up with sausage and onions though which is nice. But itd be better as a bowl, the pizza was negligible. Its edible, but when it gets here .. most would rather get dominos, which is sad. I just wish they would take pride in their pizza again without riding on the notoriety and lack of another staple joint in the area.
Best pizza on the planet! Always visit Joes Fidi for a slice or 3 when we visit NYC from England.Fresh, hot and full of flavour. Theres always a Fantastic array of condiments, to sprinkle of the top of your slice before you leave, the choices of Garlic Salt, Italian Herbs and Red Chilli Flakes.I love the fact that you can perch yourself on a stool at the window and watch daily NYC life go by, whilst you eat your tasty slice.I also love that they sell Mexican Coca cola!Definitely the place to grab a slice whilst youre in NYC and try out the other Joes too. Theyre dotted all about. 🍕👍
We really like the caprese pizza...but recommend eating on site or while its hot. We decided to take it back to the hotel and since traffic was bad, it wasnt hot anymore..😪. But it is still good...sorry, no photo of the pizza...we were so hungry that i forgot to take a photo of it
This places reputation was well earned, and established for very good reason. I made the mistake of eating their my first night in New York, and unfortunately I didnt get to tell much else while visiting - I just kept hitting Joes locations.Probably my best memory from the trip, and a very painful one at that -- I love in Florida, about as far away as you can get from it 😭😭
-No flop, minimum amount of grease. No napkins were wasted on the pizza.- Cheese to Sauce: pretty even in terms of coverage. Regular slice was stringy due to high turnover but the Sicilian was not. I think you are getting your moneys worth.-Taste: a hint of tangy, hint of sweetness from the cheese and tomatoes. With the nice charcoal on the bottom with the regular crust, I will gladly take people here who want NYC - style pizza. As for the Sicilian, too much bread, not enough cheese and sauce. Cannot skimp out on the good stuff when you are charging $4 a slice.$7.00 total ( $3 for the regular, $4 for the Sicilian ) out the door. Rating: 7.8 ( recommend the regular ).
Went 11pm Friday night and the line was long but it moved really fast. They are super organized, no nonsense, yet nice. Thats what get you in and out so fast. Had cheese pizza and white pizza. Cooked perfectly with great quality toppings. We decided to sandwich them together for the heck of it and OMG. It was like eating lasagna pizza. Heaven. Fresh ricotta on the white, sweet red sauce on the cheese. Perfect. We always get New York pizza slices when we visit and this was the best weve ever had.
Dont go by their Google rating..Ordered 4 slice of different types of pizza ..and all were tasteless pizza..not even worth 5$ its just paid marketting .They cant even make basic veg pizza right .Had to throw..And not to mention the staff needs to understand how to behave and explain..
The inside of my pizza box has a giant DIRTY SHOE PRINT! Probably the most unsanitary thing you could open a pizza box and see. Whoever stepped on the box was just as negligent as the employee who boxed the pizza and delivered it to me thinking I wouldn’t notice. Disgusting!!!!
A fantastic spot for grabbing some pizza. We went on a Thursday evening around 6pm. As expected it was very crowded given the location (close to the World Trade Center) and the end of work crew leaving for home. We managed to grab a table (very lucky) but there is standing room both inside and just outside the place. I ordered a slice of white pie and a margarita with spinach. They were great and didn’t feel too heavy either.
Wow! So the guy making pizza touches everything including his dirty apron and boxes and then stretches the dough and grabs the cheese and toppings WITH NO GLOVES!!! then goes back and touches his phone and other dirty things like his coworkers shirt and arm and cleans the table off with his bare hands JUST TO DIG HIS HANDS IN THE CHEESE AGAIN! he does all this on tiktok live on top of that! Ive eaten there TWICE and after seeing this never again! GROSS!
Absolutely THE BEST Pizza in NYC!! If you cant tell by the walls covered in photos with celebs just wait until the first bite!! If youre in NYC you definitely have to stop by Joes at least once. My friends and I were in town for 5 days and went 3 times. Its that good! Carlos is very nice & funny & welcoming. He even turned the music up for us when we were the only ones! I cant wait to go back!
Its definitely a better place now that it has seating/tables outside as well. Its a classic Joes Pizza spot and there is a line here and there but its quick most of the time. A slice is $3.25, staff are chill, they always warm the slice before serving and overall, cannot complain. Im not huge on Joes Pizza, but theres nothing to complain about so 5 star it is!
If you call ahead be ready to wait double the actual amount of time they tell you. Was told 20 minutes and waited 55 minutes for the pizza. When I asked how long when playing the cashier blindly lied and said 5 minutes when they hadn’t even started to make them. Pizza is good but the service is trash.

2022-07-11Definitely worth the hype. Something about the pizza made it better than every other slice in the city. Part of it was probably the hype but this is considered one of the best for a reason. The cheese was creamy and almost sweet and the dough was delicious. Definitely a NYC must try.

2022-06-04I can see why they are a big boy in the NYC pizza game! This pizza is the typical NY style pizza and it is delicious!! Two slices for lunch can easily get you through dinner! Loved all the wall decor as well. Definitely come here for pizza if you are near the 911 memorial.

2021-12-29We stopped here and it was really busy! It is quite a famous pizza spot. The pizza is fresh and the slices are large. We really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. The vibe is also nice, with cool music playing!

2022-08-13The hype is worth it. Famous individuals have gone here for a reason. For a fairly decent price in Manhattan ~5 you get a good variety of pizza. More towards of a thin crust, decent amount of cheesy (not greasy, which is appreciated) and quality toppings.

2022-06-17We loved it . I’ve been to other locations and they’re all consistently fast reasonable, hot, and tasty . Good size slices for the price . Two drinks and four slices $23 ! How can you beat that ? Line moves quick . They’ve got plenty of help so very efficient . Clean and also wheelchair accessible at this location . I can’t remember if the others are . Outside covered seating on the street . Only. Few tables but that’s all he needs , you fold that slice in half ? Chow & go . It’s all about the crust for me . Just right and cooked perfectly . Staff friendly even with all the crowd . Fun to look at all the pics of celebs who’ve stopped in over the years . I didn’t see a bathroom but just go before you get there , it’s worth it .

2022-03-31One of the more famous and well-known pizza of New York, Joes Pizza was worth the trip there, I would probably say its one of the top five pizzas in the city. Lots of flavor all nice foldable crispy crust, I had a couple pepperoni slices and they were great, would definitely recommend this place for sure!

2022-08-03This was my fist time in NYC and Joe’s pizza was life changing. I ordered a whole cheese pizza pie. I shared it with my husband and we ate the entire pie!It was an incredible pizza and now I understand why NYC pizza is the best pizza in the world.

2022-08-21If you want good NYC thin pizza style at a good price you definitely should come here. As I read in other reviews it is worth the hype and I can see why this place is popular. The vibe of the guys working here is always amazing they are funny and energetic. The pizzas you can’t go wrong with the Sicilian and the Caprese ones. The cheese is creamy, saltiness on point and somehow sweet in a good way, so balanced. The tomato sauce is also good. And the dough is amazing so crunchy without being burned like other places. And also they various options of spices that you can put on your pizza by yourself, I like to add the garlic powder, oregano, parmesano cheese and sometimes chili flakes. But also without adding anything the pizza is good by itself.

2022-02-01What a great place to pick up a slice of pizza in NYC. It was really good. I even bought an extra slice to take home and eat later that night. So glad they survived the covid lockdown. THANK YOU!!! It was really hard to find a place to eat during covid. Its more back to normal now.

2022-06-07I found it pretty basic. Nothing special considering NY being famous for Pizza. Taste was pretty much bland (as per my Indian taste buds). I had to put lots of oregano and chilli flakes to make it little tasty. I ordered slices of cheese and supreme. Both were okayish. I have tasted much better in other places. Since it was operating till late, I am giving it few stars.Note: this review is as per my taste buds but there was some good queue for the pizza
