Every worker had masks below there nose and the kitchen staff would come out with no masks on. They clearly arent taking it seriously. They cant seem to find an order when you get in there and a lot of lollygagging while you wait to be served. Not sure I would go back especially considering the masks 🤔
GREAT egg sandwiches!! Over medium eggs are cooked right, whites cooked thru, always. Best egg sandwiches in Nassau County!
Pre-covid this deli was fine. This week I called ahead for a sandwich and was horrified when I walked in to pick it up because one worker was wearing a bandana as a mask and the other was wearing some piece of perforated rubber that was not covering his mouth and I believe he was the one who made my sandwich. I also did not see either one wearing gloves. I did not feel comfortable eating my sandwich after seeing the complete lack of protocol by the very people preparing the food. Will not be going back.
I loved this place for so many years. It appears there must be new owners. All the great, fun, fast moving people that worked there are gone. Now its an older staff that move like molasses. Unfortunately I dont have the time to spend there and wait. Such a shame, the food isnt as good as it was either. Please go back to the original people
Extremely unprofessional!😤I placed and order via UberEats because of this Covid-19 pandemic.The restaurant not only delayed my order 30mins, but also CANCELED it right when the driver went to pick it up.I called repeatedly and no one answered, then decided to go to the restaurant and pick it up.The owner / cook was in his truck when I arrived to the parking lot and started to give me a run around explanation.They had the business already locked up and closed.Needless to say, all they could say was I’m sorry and drove off.
Been going to this deli for years, best BEC on Long Island. Nothing better than a boss and an iced coffee to start your day. Always friendly staff and great service.
Besides having lunch with them weekly, I recently had John Moore’s handle our catering needs for a funeral. The food is always delicious, fresh and on point. Thank you Justin and crew for being a long standing pilar in our community!!

Best Deli sandwiches on the Island! I get the Pyscho fried chicken cutlet hero adding onions and russian dressing and its my go to sandwich at least twice a week. Food is quality and outstanding, along with their service! Also for breakfast I always get the Boss Roll with adding onions and its a great start to my morning.
I found this place by accident. It has great coffee and great food. Service is excellent youll love it
Consistently gets orders wrong and the people that answer the phone give an attitude when you want your order replaced. According to the rude man in charge today, when you ask for two scrambled eggs with a side of bacon, at John Moore’s that means you want the bacon INSIDE. LOL if I wanted it on a roll i would have asked for a bacon, egg and cheese ON A ROLL. To make matters worse, they picked a fight with my coworker via the text to order phone number that we ordered through. I work next door for many many years and someone from my staff gives them business at least once a day. This is not how you treat people who patronize your business every day for years. The very sweet friend of the owner who helps on Saturdays delivered my correct order to me and HE is who should dealing with the customers. Not the rude little girl and mean men who want to argue with regulars.
Justin and his staff are top notch.. I had a chicken cutlet sandwich with melted American, onion and Russian dressing and Justin sliced the chicken in strips and was absolutely delicious.. Girlfriend had delicious veggie tuna sandwich.. we love John Moores... great service always, friendly, clean , great food .. Thanks Justin and guys/girls for your service!!!
Even their simplest sandwich (egg & cheese) is fabulous. Lucky to just pass by this deli on my way to church. Will come back when I attend church again.
This deli is one of a kind. My Dasher failed me by delivering my scheduled meal 30 minutes ahead of the time I requested. John Moores Deli made it nice for me and delivered my out of good will. They didnt have to do that!!!! From Hauppauge to Bellmore, I ride hard for John Moores!!!
We have ordered catering from John Moores multiple times. The food is excellent, the service (over the phone and in store ( was very good, and the price was fair. We will continue to order from them in the future.
The food from John Moorres is delicious! I made a trip from Astoria! The staff is over accommodating. Pulled Pork is out of this world! Will definately be using them for our family gatherings going forward! Worth the trip!
Cant stress how much I like this place. The sandwiches are creative and tasty, and the staff is helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend stopping there for a nice lunch.
I just waited 27 minutes for an order of pancakes after I waited 10 minutes for some one to look up and take my order. If you want to waiste your entire morning this is the place for you.

I walked in never being a guest of this Deli before I lived in Bellmore for years I understand that some people have money around here but 575 for bacon egg and cheese sandwich is ridiculous I barely had egg and bacon on my sandwich I thought it was like okay they charge this much because its such a monstrous sandwich Im sorry right in my neighborhood I can get that same sandwich for 3.50 maybe 4 bucks.

2019-11-21My new favorite Deli! I work in the area and have been struggling to find a place that is delicious and consistent for breakfast. I have ordered from here a few times now and I have not been disappointed! Their food is delicious and always receive exactly what I order. Your neighbors here at LIOC will not go to another Deli!

2020-11-17Used to come here years ago when it was good. Stopped in today because I was local. Ordered and before he even finished making my sandwich, had to walk out. I nearly vomited seeing all the flies on everything. Thought it was maybe two or three buzzing around the television at first, but there were dozens, maybe hundreds, many on the surface where the food was being prepared. Gross to think how many ended up in food. Wont be coming here ever again.

2020-10-30I want to apologize for my original review regarding this location. I was upset about the way in which my door dash order was handled and went a little too far in my judgment of this place as a business.However, for the response I received from the owner, I still believe that whether I was a customer myself or a representative for one of the various food delivery services you currently deal with. There should be no difference in the way I am treated as opposed to any other in store customer. Sure I may not BE the customer, however I am there on behalf of YOUR customer. So there is no justification in your attempt at discrediting my review.Despite this, I have chosen to remove my original review as it was unnecessary for me to take it as far as I did. The customers you were serving seemed happy and I can tell you have regulars in which youve developed good relationships with. And I can express gratitude in terms of the good deeds you do in serving the local hospitals and community.

2019-10-13Easily one of my favorite delis around. They offer some of the best specialty sandwiches around, the Johnny X being one of my go tos. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Their catering options are always superb too, heros and salads are top notch, and will leave any party more than satisfied. Parking can be a little tight, but its a testament to the quality of deli if you ask me. This is one of the few places that Ill go out of my way to go to just because it really is that much better.

2020-07-25A bit of an overrated deli. I found the prices to be a bit steep for the service and food I got. Its a local deli. Its Ok. It took a long time to get my order out with an army of staff behind the counter. Everyone is very nice, but like most delis in the area, the organization leaves much to be desired. I want to like it more, but unfortunately, it is what it is.

2020-07-12Hands down one of the best delis on the island. Everything is super fresh and the location is always immaculately clean. Over two dozen famous speciality sandwiches, all different types of salads(not just your regular mac, potato and coleslaw but all those fancy creative salads too) and the staff is super friendly and on point. They always have about 10 people working behind the counter so theres never a wait. John Moores is simply just “one of those delis” that does it all right. Cant recommend enough... that Johnny X may be the best sandwich Ive ever had... They also give a ton back to the community 💪🏻 A+++
