Save your money and head to the Grosik next door for actual warm food for a much better value than this. The servers were more focused on the party in the back rather than the full set of tables of families waiting for food for nearly an hour. The food came cold, and the salmon was lukewarm and that’s being generous. The current state of Johnny’s Cafe is abysmal, and Johnny himself would never let this happen. This used to be a staple in the community bustling with families and memories.Edit: Two of us ate the coleslaw and are having the equivalent of a Taco Bell restroom visit. Don’t even trust the salad

Better Polish food that you can actually try in Poland. We tried „schabowy” and „placki po węgiersku” and they were both delicious. Place had some issues in the past but has been recently taken over by a new owner and progress is visible. Keeping fingers crossed that it’ll soon become a huge highlight on a culinary map of NY, because it deserves it!

This is not a restaurant as it was under the previous owner. The food is gross, stinks, old, reheated. Certainly not cooked by a Polish cook. Dont waste your time & money on fake Polish cuisine. Even lost their alcohol concessions..... DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ANYMORE

The food was so good... pierogi, grilled salmon, bigos, baked red potatoes, desert. I am definitely going back soon!

Awesome authentic Polish food and snacks! Low key, menu and service in Polish and English. Great price!

Their pierogies are good and the tiramisu was REALLY GOOD but they were out or everything we actually wanted.

This place is fabulous! A great polish place with lots of different foods! I had a great time, and it’s all kid- friendly. Very clean, also have great parties! Good place for small/ medium parties like communions, birthday parties (13+), baptism parties, etc. Totally recommend.

Went here for a lunch date and was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed good food at an affordable price with excellent service. A good selection of Polish and non-polish food with a very European vibe. The bread and spread was a nice addition to our lunch.

I have been going there on occaision for the past several years when Im in the area for business. The Polish style food menu is always good and the atmosphere is comfortable. I find it to be a great place to bring business clients for an enjoyable and reasonably priced home style Polish meal.

I ordered a pork cutlet with a sauce on the side, which was a good thing. I did not like the sauce. Also, the cutlet looked like it was blackened and it was tough. I told the waitress and all she said was, Im sorry. No offer to give me something else, or take the meal off the bill. Fortunately, I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer, or i would have gone home hungry I ordered the potato pancakes to go. When I heated them up the next day, I was total.y disappointed. They were devoid of flavor. My friend also ordered a pork cutlet dish and she said her meat was also tough. Note, we were a group of 8, celebrating a birthday. Its a shame, since otherwise it could be a nice place.
