The staff was very friendly and the service was great. Low prices with food and drink specials every day was a plus! The meal was very quick, and the food was good. The food was not as authentic as other similiar restaurants in the area, but the services, prices, and timing guaranteed that I will return. Check it out if you are in the area.
The food here isnt bad but, its tastes like an American trying to make Mexican food. I would recommend just ordering from an authentic Mexican restaurant. However, the atmosphere and the people are really awesome! Like how they have the 2nd floor set up. I would definitely recommend eating here once but, thats really all you need in my personal opinion
Burrito was fantastic. Pressed and slightly crunchy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. House red hot sauce was tasty as well, not super hot but a great smoky, slightly sweet flavor that paired well with the chicken, beans, and added homefries in my burrito. No soppiness or wet mess like others have reviewed.Chips were good and seemingly home made, but slightly stale. Tough to keep them crispy on a very wet, humid, rainy day Id imagine.
Visited the new location the other day its really nice. They have a large dine in area now, its upstairs. They have a new style of taco called Mex I think that was really good. It has radish on it which is great. The same nice staff still works there as well. They also have a larger bar now. Excited to go back soon.
Love their shrimp tacos. But they suck at making burritos. Order one at it’ll be 70-80% rice. Ask for lite rice and they’ll give you a ton of bean making your burrito a goopy mess. Yesterday I ordered one with no rice or beans and it was a watery mess with tough pieces of chicken in it. There’s just way better options for Mexican food in the city. I’m done with this place.
Very classy American Mexican food. Main course was quite good, nothing out of this world, but the chips and queso were something special. A unique combination of cheeses, thick and creamy, and the chips had a special seasoning on them. Staff were very friendly and calm too. ¡Vamanos!
I went here for the first time with some co-workers. I ordered to-go from the bar. When I received the bill, there is a line-item labeled Round. I asked what it was, and was told, we round the total either up or down to eliminate the pennies. I asked why, and the response was, we dont want to deal with pennies. In my case I was charged more. So basically I had to pay extra because they dont want to deal with pennies.I ordered a burrito bowl. Visually it looked ok. The problem was their salsa, which is nothing more than diced stewed tomatoes. So the entire dish tasted like pasta sauce. It was so disgusting I couldnt even finish the meal. Would not recommend this place.
Showed up at six thirty on a Friday night and managed to snag the only open table in the house. Tons of crazy cheap menu options, huge portions. Service was FAST, friendly, and knew their stuff. A Mexican plate to split left us both stuffed, and arrived roughly two minutes after our order was placed.Definite new favorite.
Wait staff was super nice but thats as far as the positives go. Dont let the high rating trick you, the food just plain out sucks. The only present flavor was cumin and the $6 chips and salsa/guac tasted like it came straight out of the fridge at Walmart. I will never go back, do yourself a favor and go to a place that is owned by/employs Latino people.
Surprised I havent written about this restaurant sooner. Been going here for at least a decade. Even with Covid, glad to see this is still around. I ordered a pork quesadilla with a large order of rice and beans. Admittingly, this is the first time ordering out as I typically eat at the restaurant. The quesadilla has a healthy portion of pulled pork. Butter and salty which went well with the side of sour cream. The rice was good but will admit, the beans didnt taste so great. Didnt taste bad, but was thicker than I prefer, as I prefer refried beans on the smooth side. Also, the rice didnt seem to have much salt or seasoning. The rice was more flavorful by comparison. Outside of this, I have never had an issue with the food here and still a fan. I highly recommend checking out the full menu which also includes vegan and vegetarian options for those interested.
Delicious burritos in large servings. Should have definitely ordered a small burrito since their regular-sized burrito is about half the size of a football. The atmosphere in and outside the restaurant is awesome and welcoming as well. Outdoor area has picnic tables, colorful walls, and string lights. Great area for everyone and they have some tasty margaritas as well!
Went here for the first time today not knowing what to expect. Ordered a burrito. It was AMAZING! Huge and affordable. The beef is high quality, their house red hot sauce is so good id buy it by the gallon, and the girl working was super friendly. My only complaint is that is was so good I ate till I feel sick (from overeating, nothing wrong with the food!) Definitely recommend it for anyone who hasnt been there. Ill be going back soon.
1st time was GREAT! Sat at bar and bartender served, food was excellent! 2nd time went with date, sat down, got water, chips and salsa, then got completely ignored by a woman server. Left $2.50 for chips on the table and left after 20 minutes when we saw 2 other people sit down and get served right away by different server.
I had HIGH hopes for this place considering they offer vegan options! When I went they were all out of vegan options (understandable for a busy restaurant), however after I made it aware I was severely allergic to dairy (to which the waitress did not seem to care about) I received my food with cheese shreds (mixed in with another ingredient I presume) in it. I suffered a pretty bad reaction due to not suspecting there to be dairy in my meal. On top of everything, the waitress was not very welcoming. La Casa right around the corner is MUCH more welcoming and cares about food sensitivities (and better tortilla chips)!
I really wanted to like this place because I love supporting local places with vegan options but the food here did not live up to expectations. I started with the guacamole and chips. The guacamole was a weird color and tasted like it had been refrigerated, without any flavor at all and with chunks of avocado still intact. The chips were served cold. I got the unbeef tacos and they were flavorless and bland, on dry taco shells. I ordered three tacos but couldn’t even finish one, it was inedible. While the staff were nice I was really disappointed with the taste of the food.
Since finding out I have to be gluten free and have a soy and diary allergies Ive been looking for restaurants that serve gluten free meals. I found an app that lists gluten free items and Johns Tex Mex popped up. Everything but the burrito items are gluten free! Highly recommend the spicy Shrimp Tacos. My son loves the chicken quesadillas, my daughter loves the huge Taco Salads. My husband got a huge burrito and last night he got the Mexican Plate.
Ive been here twice now, ive gotten the shrimp tacos both times and they are the bomb. I also ordered a small burrito and tostado which were also both very good. The small burrito was honestly pretty huge! Extremely fair portion sizes for the price. My roomate is vegetarian and they also have a very good selection of vegetarian options which is very nice. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
We went there tonite and walked in not knowing what was going on. the staff was all over the place, we finally got to bar and gave our order and was told go upstairs and have a seat. no chips no other contact at all until i said something and it was oh sorry we forgot. the tacos were great but as a regular customer it stinks that we were treated like this. i did ask for mgr and he had no clue of anything he just said the help might be new. sorry guys but you lost really good customers and will not send people to you
Great atmosphere, great staff, great bar, in an awesome neighborhood. The portions are huge (I usually skip my next meal after eating Johns) and the food is good. Its a little underseasoned for my taste but the sauces they have on the table solve that problem. In COVID times, the takeout is packaged well and its hot with no plastic waste. They dont package up any sauces that you usually get at the table but Ive never specifically asked.
The food is decently priced and the serving size are generous. I ordered 3 tacos anticipating small one but I got full off 1.5 tacos. The reason why Johns Tex Mex is just okay is that the food isnt seasoned too well. I had a mix of chicken, beef, and vegetarian tacos and it was all bland. The food was also cold but that maybe partly due to being seated outside at night and would like to give them the benefit of the doubt. Im glad that everything was pretty cheap but the food was so underwhelming.
The restaurant is truly tiny, there cant be more than about 20 seats. But the food is great, and the portions are as big as the restaurant is small. The burritos are the size of a small child and are delicious. You can get vegetarian or any classic style that you like. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick. They also do take out which makes a great lunch if you dont have time to sit.
Delicious! Their new location is nice and open. Spacious and more personable. The outside seating is so cute! Definitely an upgrade! The server that took our order seemed impatient and aggravated, so we got our food to go, but well be back! Were all human! The size was impressive as well! I ordered the mexican plate with a side guacamole salad, it was just what I wanted! I love the art and graffiti on the walls too! 🙌
This is still one of my favorite places for cheap eats. I got the burrito lunch special ($9 for a small burrito and side). The food is solid tex mex, if youre looking for authentic Mexican you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want a hot, delicious, affordable meal, this is a great option. Recommend
What can I say- if you’re looking to experience Rochester, John’s Tex Mex is a must! This place has been a popular meeting place for young folks down town as long as I’ve lived in the city, and rightfully so. Their food is a delicious, unique take on Tex-Mex with portion sizes worth much more than what you pay for- I always walk away with the next day’s lunch after having an outing here! They have a surprisingly varied drinks menu as well for such a small little place, and some mixed drinks that are reasonably priced and pretty tasty! Right now during COVID times, seating is much more limited than usual, with only around six tables or so of outside seating treated first come, first serve, so do keep this in mind if you’ll be coming by! Even during normal times, seating can be a bit sparse on a busy day or during the weekend, but I personally have never had a wait much longer than 30 minutes or so at the longest. The staff here is always personable, cheery, and attentive, and just generally go above and beyond. The only downside is that, given its central location in the cute and trendy area of South Ave, parking is pretty scarce sometimes, with no accessible parking of any kind available. That being said, for such a small building, the tables are spaced pretty well to give extra space for those needing mobility assistance, and besides a bit of a step up from the sidewalk, the building is very accessible. John’s Tex Mex is definitely a fun, trendy place to grab supper and some drinks with friends, and I certainly would say this place is very well loved in Rochester.
Johns is one of the staples of Rochester in my opinion. Their salsa and hot sauces are to die for.I always get the pork chimichanga with jalapenos and ask for queso poured on top. It comes out looking like cheesy fried heaven...and tastes even better.Excellent selection of tequila and mezcal. John wont serve something he doesnt like. When the bar is open, the bartenders and servers share their honest opinions of food and drink. The house margaritas are strong and delicious. If youre feeling adventurous:The spicy margarita is amazing!Im also a huge fan of their Mezcal Mule!
Used to love stopping in to Johns when they were a hole in the wall on South Ave because their food was tasty and their prices were reasonable.Well, things have changed quite a bit.The hole in the wall has become significantly larger, and yet quality and value have stayed exactly the same. Plus - a bar!The new place is fantastic - art everywhere and space galore. The upstairs dining room has great sound dampening, and the generously-spaced seating ensures you arent being thrown into your burrito bowl with every passing elbow. And speaking of burrito bowls, our two dishes came out faster than you can read this review in its entirety. Orders were perfect, flavors were fresh, and our server was either naturally ebullient or very high, neither of which would be surprising.Sat at the bar earlier in the evening awaiting my company as the bartender fought valiantly to tend to patrons between phone orders. It figures she was busy, though, as there appears to be only two things one CANT get at Johns - bad food and bad service.
I entered the restaurant and waited for 8 minutes to see if I go ahead and seat or wait to be seated . I decided to go ahead and seat. I waited for 15 minutes nobody asked me if I need a menu or can we help. Although the employees passed me several time and made eye contact. Bizarre service. By the way the restaurant was not busy at all.
We came for dinner on Saturday evening. I cannot put into words how ridiculously incredible this food is that they serve here. The owners John and his wife Gina are incredible people!! The wait staff were on point! Again, the food was phenomenal and very budget friendly! I will go to the highest mountain and sing praise about this restaurant! I haven’t stopped talking about it since I was there on Saturday!
Delicious!! Ive been looking for an authentic place since moving to the area 5 years ago. Look no further! Johns Tex Mex is it!!!!2 stories plus outside seating makes ample space for dining. Seating spaced nicely to enjoy your conversation and not the table next door. Full bar to enjoy a beer or cocktail while you wait. Decor is great to look at as well.Waitstaff is attentive and polite. Got seated right away and had drinks in just a few short minutes. Food arrived fairly quickly as well. Taco salad was the size of your head!!! The man couldnt even finish it all!!! Quesadilla is typical size but STUFFED with deliciousness!! Hands down the BEST Ive ever had!!! Definitely get the guacamole as well!I just cant say enough about this experience!! Check it out, you WONT be disappointed!!
Food was ok. Very similar to a moes or chipotle. Biggest issue was that they swapped our card with another tables card. No one working knew how to void the transaction apparently. We waited 20-25 minutes for them to correct the error. They were not willing to compensate for our time and their error. Disappointed. Our party will not be returning.
Love this place! Great food, generous portions and inexpensive. There is great vegetarian options as well. The chips are served warmed and nicely spiced. Salsa is good as well. I have had many things on the menu and been impressed with all the choices! Will be back soon!
John’s is high quality without the crazy price tag. This is my go to restaurant since moving to the city. Their burritos are HUGE and you have tons of healthy options to put in them. Would recommend to anyone. My dad is a neat-freak/health-nut/gluten-sugar-dairy free and he loves going as well!Ps they also have the best customer service
I love this place! The food has been consistently great in my order has always been correct. I come every two weeks on payday and treat myself to the great food. However today I had a terrible experience that I felt I needed to write a review about. I called the place to take a order And the gentleman who answered the phone asked me to hold for a moment. That moment lasted 15 minutes as I walked into the restaurant I showed him my phone stating that he still had me on hold. His response was oh I’m sorry I’ve been busy. The fact is he wasn’t busy because while I was on hold for that 15 minutes I heard him having personal conversations with people specifically about someone who wrote a bad review about him. He then proceeded to greet someone who must’ve just walked in and then took their order meanwhile I’m still on hold. His apology was not even sincere nor did he even offer me any type of discount on the food that I ordered being that He left me on hold for 15 minutes while he had personal conversations with customers and other coworkers which I actually heard. I have 21 years of customer service experience so if I sincerely make a mistake I at least am sincere about my apology and then I at least try to offer some type of compensation for the mishap. As I walked out the door he didn’t even say goodbye or again apologize sincerely. I will still come to this establishment I just however I don’t choose to deal With this young man by the name of Clay
I tried take out from them last night and got a bowl! The portion was around $10 but it’s enough for two people. It honestly tasted really good and one of the best Mexican in Roc! Be sure to try out their guacamole and the chilli sauce, wow! The environment seemed nice so bucket list when things open up!
I pretty much like all Mexican food, but others I sit that this is one of the best Mexican joints in Rochester. Them moved from the smaller location just down the street into their new slightly larger location (they are still fairly small, but much larger than before). They do have their liquor license, which they didn’t have when the first opened. The downstairs still has a nice atmosphere, but upstairs (where there is more seating) it feels a bit empty.
I love this restaraunt and visit there frequently. The prices are good and the food is delicious! Its a great place to grab a bite to eat whether you have time to hang out or if you need a quick bite to eat. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. One of my favorite places to eat in Rochester, NY.
It was very interesting to visit Johns Tex Mex in their new location. This is the first time Ive been there, Id only been to their old location previously. We had some nice tasting draft beer that was ice cold, and very delicious. Both myself and my dining companion were very satisfied with the meals, and the service was also very good. The new location has lots more room than the old one, maybe three times as much.EDIT 5/12/2020: Whew! Cleaned up many transcription errors in my earlier review, and wanted to add that Johns Tex-Mex deserves at least another star or two for offering $10 growler fills of 3 or 4 different beers. Got some takeout from there a couple weeks ago as well, and it was delicious. Johns gets to see one of these: 👍🏻
Was less than excited about long wait for party of 6 but very pleasantly surprised by food freshness, taste and speed. Short staffed the night we were there so chef delivered our meals and took care of one mishap with our order.I went from grumbling and considering walking out the door to extremely pleased with my experience. Prices are even below reasonable.I’ll be visiting again.
Good food, good drink selection, decent food selection. Everything tasted great. Very nice staff and a nice spacious dining room upstairs. I especially appreciated that the tables had plenty of space between them so you werent bumping chair backs with the next table and you didnt feel like you were disturbing fellow diners as you walked past them to your table.
Johns is relatively new, and has a great vibe, good food and quick service. If youre familiar with Dogtown on Monroe, this is a similar experience. Small restaurant, not a lot of space, but its set up well inside and while youll be fairly close to other diners, it doesnt feel cramped. The food is well seasoned, portions are big, and Wait times are low. Our tacos (both chicken and beef) were a little greasy, but that just added to the exceptional flavor.
Always had good food here. I highly recommend their burritos and the Mexican Plate (think the most ultimate nachos you have ever had... and they are better than that). The dining area can be a bit cramped and when its busy plan on taking you order to go. That said if you go at off peak times you wont have any issue getting a table. The staff is always friendly and helpful if you have questions about menu items.Definitely one of Rochesters best hidden gems.
Take out was quick. The family got some chicken and tofu bowls and burritos and they were good as well as inexpensive. The chips were also good. They had run out of queso by 7pm on Monday and that was disappointing, but I guess that just speaks for itself, mustve been real good stuff.
From a vegan perspective, they had their own menu for vegans and vegetarians. Thumbs up for that! They only had local beverages. Pretty cool if you ask me. Nice cozy place. Kind of a hipster vibe if you ask me (which I dont mind, at all) the only thing (and I dont know the city well at all) but the outside was kinda sketchy... there were people arguing loudly across the street, Im not saying that I felt unsafe but... I was with my toddler son and IF someone were attempt something, it would have been horrible.
It was a very casual and laid back restaurant.I had read the menu before going and it didnt disappoint. The guacamole was very good and tasted fresh. The mush was excellent with the light sour cream.Wed never tried un-beef and it tasted very nice. Generous quantities, will be visiting again.
Probably my favorite Tex Mex place in Rochester. Looking forward to dining in their new location. The burritos and tacos are great. Im not vegetarian but, the unbeef, and the Buffalo tofu on Saturdays only, is tasty. If you have room the plantains and potatoes mash is a great addition to any order.
Eat here at least once a week. Being a vegan it is extremely difficult to find restaurants that say they have vegan choices, then respectfully prepare the food. I have been sick from many area restaurants. From high to low end. I trust Johns and love the food. My top five in Rochester.
There is a good variety of food and decent options for non-meat eaters. The food quality and taste are pretty good but there is not a lot of flavor. The homemade sauces help, but dont do the whole job. If you like more bland food, then this is your place. The Weird satanic like wall decorations can be a little off-putting.
The new location is beautiful inside and out - so artfully done! The colors are lovely. Our server Caitlyn was so warm and wonderful. The ceviche and chips were delicious, as was the fish burrito. Chocolate plantain empanadas for dessert were gooey and delightful. A great experience!
Excellent food and cheap prices. Try the mexican mush with their homemade chips as a starter. Only 4/5 since there are many times where the tiny seating area prevents actually eating there and Ive had to move on to other restaurants. Props to them for serving local soda and using biodegradable takeout containers.EDIT: New location means lots of seating!
Quit possibly the worst Tex-Mex Ive ever had. Ordered the Pork Tacos street style...the corn tortillas were cold (way undercooked), the pork was tasteless, lukewarm, the garnish was blah. Also ordered the guacamole and chips...they have a lot of nerve calling that guacamole. Would never recommend Johns Tex-Mex to anyone. If I could give it a negative rating I would!
All the food and drink choices are inexpensive and delicious! Service is always super friendly and quick. Lots of options for vegetarian, gluten free, etc as well. Very small setting (which I love) but be aware to possibly call ahead and check availability if coming with a big group or during a busy time.
I went to this restaurant while in Rochester for an interview. It was fantastic! A lot better than I expected it to be. It was recommended by my girlfriends sister and I went with batted breath. I havent had much good Mexican food in New York state, but this was good. They give you house made hot sauce with your meal. A Chipotle hot sauce and a salsa verde type hot sauce. Both very good and a nice touch. The burrito was large and incredible. Being born in southern California I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what some good Mexican food is
Ordered two shrimp tacos and one beef burrito. Positives are one the restaurant is clean and 2 service was fast. Negatives...both the fish and beef were bland. They both lacked any type of what I would call real “Mexican” flavor. I only ended up eating 1 of the tacos and threw away half of the burrito. Would I ever eat here again...probably not but to each his own right?
Tex mex at its finest. Great vegetarian options. Salsa is fresh and delicious. Guacamole is really good as well. We had quesadillas but have had burritos and salads here as well. Small dining room but always can find a table usually. They do a great take out business as well. Good beverage selection as well.
The food was fine and most of the staff was friendly; however we went there specifically because it was listed as one of the top 10 dog friendly restaurants in town. It turns out that they are notdog friendly at all. They have a patio and outside tables, but you are only allowed to drink out there, not eat. As we were from out of town, trying to find an alternative was a minor inconvenience.
The food itself was not bad, but if you have six or seven people I do not reccomend coming here to die the lack of space. For a Mexican restaurant they did not have a whole lot of options for food or drinks. The waitresses were very quiet and not as outgoing as most.
It wasnt anything to write home about. The salsa and meats were quite good but the rice, beans, and cheese werent so good. Things to avoid: the queso. Im pretty sure it was just mayo based with some melted cheese. Nevertheless, it tasted gross, was gelatinous in consistency, and I made the mistake of getting my burrito covered in it. Dont be like me!
Johns is a small but very friendly corner bodega, with a wide choice in tasty Mexican dishes. Nearly all dishes can be had with vegetarian options, including black bean, unbeef, and tofu. Prices are reasonable & the wait staff are friendly & attentive without being annoying or hovering. Try the Mexican Mush appetizer!
Dont go to Chipotle while this is right around the corner! This is the best Mexican food around, by far. Being a local guide, this is on my strongly recommend list for new style Mexican. Vegetarian accommodations are awesome, too! My wife is a vegetarian and she says she loves the un-beef and tofu.
We were craving a really good burrito the other day, and my boyfriend and I decided to try Johns. It was awesome! We sat in and ate, the chips and salsa were delicious and couldnt stop eating them even after we were stuffed from our burritos. They were so good we contemplated going back for lunch the next day. Decided our new year diets wouldnt be off to a good start if we did that. But we most definitely will be back! Thanks Johns Tex-Mex for becoming our official Burrito Place. =)
This place has been around forever and they do well. Eats are cheap and what youd expect from a tex-mex place, service is pretty quick. Menu is a bit stale, but it might be an if it aint broke dont fix it deal. Its especially nice for the nights you might want something a little more casual than La Casa around the corner and dont want to wait hours to get it.
This is what no nonsense Tex mex should be about. My only complaint would be that the dining area was on the chilly side. Other than that, wonderful food for the price. Tasted like I’d imagine authentic Tex mex would taste. Keep it up guys! This is an example of a place that makes the ROC a great place to live.
Great food, great prices. Havent had a bad meal here. Would be 5 stars but the service is so wishy washy that I cant go all the way. I get that we are in the wedge and its super hip but the waitress Ive had the last couple times here is so icy, its unreal. Other than that 100% recommend!
We go here a lot.Positives: great food (at least everything weve had), staff are very polite, friendly, and helpful, small-ish seating area is very quaint with nice atmosphere, very vegetarian/vegan friendly (probably best in area), nice little outdoor seating area, reasonably pricedNegatives: they dont deliver, can get chilly in the winter (just keep it in mind)In summary HIGHLY recommend! However word of caution watch out for the step going from indoor area to outdoor area and salsa has a kick!
To begin I will say the chips werent half bad . However they werent even made to order (which would have taken 30 seconds). As far as the rest I have no idea how this place got such high marks, where do I begin.. If its your first time here, BEWARE the chips are not complimentary with the meal. And I think if you order stuff like guac 2oz portion separately it might be cheaper... We digress, food came out wicked fast.. Interesting that. Cold plates: I got a beef burrito bowl, no texture, rice was bland over cooked mush, added black olives that were straight out of the can.. Unrinsed, Briney, overpowering. No offering of dessert. I dont know if they didnt have dessert or if we just werent offered any. Had water with my meal which was tepid. I asked the waitress for ice and she informed me that they didnt have any. I am not sure if the machine was broken or if thats just their nieche. Also while sitting in my chair I backed up and saw my life flash before my eyes as my chair leg fell into a broken vent on the floor (its a $20 fix ... Come on people). Now on to service: the server was nice enough but there were a lot of things that could have been done better. It felt rushed and it seemed like the server didnt make any attempts to engage the table in friendly conversation or make personal recommendations for dishes. When asked about the seasoning on the meats she was only able to assure me it was not spicy which leaves a lot to be desired. And as a final warning watch out for that screen door as you leave. It might get you if youre not paying attention. I have had real tex mex and real tex mex this is not. You can try it if youd like but I wont be back.

2022-01-30This is really nice place to have a descent meal and a good drink. They got both bar seating and dining hall seating. Food was really good and portions were large. Prices were really reasonable, mot of the dishes were under 10 dollars. The margaritas are really good and strong. A tall house margarita could make you drunk 😂. We went on a Saturday night around 7.30 pm and there were no waiting. Place was not too crowded and both street and reserved parking was available. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Also they made the food ready within 15 minutes.

2022-05-11Fast service, good portions, good prices. They have a nice small outdoor patio, but seating is limited.Salsa is a bit spicy, but flavourful.Guacamole is fresh, but lacked flavour.Tacos (chick, pork, beef) were tasty. You can upgrade your guacamole from 4oz to 8oz for a small charge.Burritos are supposed to be good, so I’ll drop by next time to try them,It’s a good place to visit!

2022-05-21The food here is always SO GOOD, whether its dine in or takeout, and everyone Ive interacted with has been super friendly. Love that they have plant based options. Super cute little bar inside or a patio for outside dining. They also have their own parking lot.

2021-11-03Dine or take out its still amazing. We order on Mondays for their vegan specials. Any time we are in town or nearby we try to stop. The salsa, hot sauce and fresh food are all amazing. Skip the chains and come here

2022-06-10Had a great dinner at Johns Tex-Mex! From the menu it didnt look too special, but we still wanted to give it a try. I was wrong! The ambiance is super cute! They were very packed on a weeknight and the service was a bit slow just because they were understaffed, but the servers were great and working as hard as the could! They also have an outdoor space. The food and drinks were all really good! We got the vegan quesadilla that was excellent and some different tacos. Everything was super flavorful and the portions were big. They only do vegan cheese on the quesadilla, but have a lot of vegan options that dont include vegan cheese. Will definitely be back!
