Great bedside manner caring professional with excellent results after knee surgery. So good at what he does Im doing the other leg!!!
I had a scope of my left knee done in 04-2018. I was originally told by another Ortho I would need a partial knee replacement. But Dr. Danoff requested new X-rays and an MRI and determined a scope would be a better approach to clean up a torn meniscus and loose cartilage . The surgery was Friday morning and by Sunday my leg was virtually pain-free with only Tylenol.From a patient concern perspective, each office visit, pre-surgery prep and post-surgical follow-up (which, BTW,Dr. Danoff did himself) took time to explain what was going to be done, how, and why.I would strongly recommend Dr. Danoff to anyone considering joint surgery/replacement.
Dr Danoff saved my life! He healed me and took severe pain away from me. Dr. Danoff is the best Dr/Surgeon I ever met and treated me with the most respect and kindness. Im walking around with 95% less pain only 2 days after my Hip Replacement. Feel like a new man. His bedside manner is flawless, professional and caring. Thank you Dr. Danoff
Leaving a review after months of seeing this doctor. I had to visit him for a follow up from an emergency room visit I had. My right side was inflamed to the point i was admitted to LIJ screaming in pain. After I was released on crutches I went to see Dr. Danoff. The visit was a waste of time. He refused to listen to my complaints and brushed off the incident as a fluke and nothing more and to come back if the pain persists. Said I was too young to have problems and didnt even examine me. Went by the hospital reports WHICH WERE NOT EVEN FROM A SPECIALISTS POINT OF VIEW. I asked him to sign a doctors note from my city agency and he said I have to make a second appointment to do that even after I explained to him I came here for that reason as well. Money hungry, and doesnt waste his own time for anyone. I wont be coming back to see him.
Dr. Danoff performed by right hip replacement with a direct anterior approach. Feeling great and cant believe how quickly I was back on my feet. Definitely recommend this doctor!!!
Did a great job on my total knee replacement. Love the fact that you can keep in touch via the practices app. Dr. Danoff and the team are very responsive.

2022-02-07I just had a total knee replacement, very positive experience, Dr. Danoff was terrific at every aspect of procedure, his staff was extremely professional every step of the way, they called me to help & guide me. Minimal pain, was up & walking with walker immediately after surgery, 2weeks after up & walking by no cane,Thank Dr. Danoff

2022-05-04I had BiLateral Knee replacement in 2015, by 2018, my implants started to collapse. I was devastated, I did my research and found Dr. Danoff through Northwell. I started the process of the Revision of both Knees last year April 2021. He has great bed side manner, straight to the point, and very thorough in explaining the procedure, will recommend him to anyone.

2022-07-23Dr. Chris Rhodes was filling in for Dr. Danhoff. We had a short wait. Dr. Rhodes was quick, thorough and had a good bedside manner. Danielle, one of the nursing staff, was very friendly and accommodating in escorting us in. On the way to the exam room, Karim Brown, the x-ray tech, saved us a few steps by directing us to the x-ray room. Karim was very patient and thorough with the films he took and explained everything well. Ashik Elahi was very friendly as well and very efficient and thorough when he made our follow-up appointment and in explaining our options for physical therapy.

2021-12-28Just had a revision on my knee six weeks ago and I can feel the difference already! It’s been three years since my replacement and has never been right! Always had discomfort until I decided to see another doctor. Well I am so very happy with doctor Danoff. I plan on him doing my other knee !! Thanks doctor Danoff for making me feel better.

2021-07-28I had a total knee replacement with Johnathan Danoff MD. on 7/28/2021 at NorthShore University hospital Northwell , ambulatory center.Dr. Danoff is very personal , extremely knowledgeable ,answers all questions and explains all options . The pre operative plan was well organized with a discussion and a packet describing the surgical plan. The office staff are lovely and respond to all calls . Dr. Danoff also developed an app for your phone which preoperatively and postoperative my monitors my progress . I receive notification emails from FORCE to answer questions about my condition which is monitored by the orthopedic team. 2 hours after my procedure I was up walking . The physical therapist and occupational therapist visited me after surgery to assist me in walking , climbing stairs and dressing.The app is called FORCE and will have my daily physical therapy instructions which I will do at home for 2 weeks after surgery. I was encouraged to text any concerns on the app which Dr. Danoff or his physician assistant Chris will respond to.I highly recommend Dr. Danoff a total knee replacement. The 2 patients in the recovery room with me having a total hip replacement were also extremely satisfied .

2020-09-06I am a 67 year old active male that maintains a 4 day a week exercise regime. Since 2016 problems developed with my hip that impacted both my quality of life and exercise regime , resulting in a pronounced limp. I met with Doctor Danoff and he clearly defined all aspects of the procedure and recovery that I would experience. Reassuring and caring in his demeanor, it made me very comfortable with my decision to have the surgery performed by him.He also introduced the staff that would be in close contact with me personally throughout my recovery. All documentation , including a one hour video clearly defined the steps before and after surgery including a checklist for needed items. The office staff was considerate precise and always available for questions. The surgery itself was about 2 hours and within 3 hours I was up and walking, climbing stairs. Within another four hours I was home in bed. Pain sensation is different for each person but for me it is minimal and the medications prescribed control both infection,swelling and pain. Once home I was walking with a walker. Best of all was the home PT that is available to run on a laptop,Phone,or PC. I was able to begin all exercises one day after surgery. Do not diminish DR Danoffs expertise in performing Hip surgery by not completing the exercise routines prescribed. They are simple and will lead to a quicker recovery. I went into the hospital limping and came out walking.

2021-03-10Just completed a full hip replacement two weeks ago with DR. Jonathan Danoff. The whole experience was extremely positive. From Pre-op through post-op everyone was great. Dr. Danoff is the front man to a group of rock stars! Great job Doc. Looking forward to doing my knee replacements with him as well. Stay Tuned! Cheers

2020-11-19Dr. Danoff is a wonderful orthopedic surgeon. He has a great bedside manner and explains and shows you exactly what he will do during surgery. His staff at the Great Neck office are very nice and his surgeon coordinator, Shula, was very comforting everytime we spoke on the phone. On November 11, 2020 he replaced my right hip in the Schwartz Ambulatory unit, in which the nurses there couldn’t of been more nicer and comforting than the other. I was in surgery about 2 hours and in recovery. About an hour or two after surgery, I was walking with a walker with the PT and OT around the floor and up steps. I went home the next day with the prescribed meds and walker. Dr. Danoff has a great regimen on the app I use twice a day to do his prescribed exercises and they are easy. I do have swelling of my right leg and foot, but that is normal. I will say I can actually put socks on and bend without the pain before the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Jonathan Danoff.

2021-12-15I saw Dr Danoff for an arthritic right hip.He made me feel at ease immediately. I trusted him & he gave me great advice.The entire staff was friendly &efficient. Id recommend Dr Danoff to anyone whos thinking about hipreplacement .

2020-08-31Dr. Danoff is a superior surgeon and an amazing Doctor with an exceptional bedside manner. During my first visit we came up with a plan of action to help elevate my hip pain. After we exhausted every other course of treatment Dr. Danoff performed my left hip replacement. Before my surgery I could not imagine what it would be like to not have pain anymore, I honestly thought the day would never come. But after surgery when I got out of bed and sat in a chair I cried such tears of joy, I was actually able to sit pain free! Of course at my post-op appointment I again cried those same tears of joy thanking Dr. Danoff for drastically changing my life!! To sum him up in one word, EXCEPTIONAL!! Thank you Dr. Danoff, you are truly amazing!!!
