Jones Farm in other cities:
This is a special place for our family. We stumbled on it last year before a trip to Storm King. Jones Farm has quickly become a family favorite for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and baked goods. The food is amazing, the scenery beautiful, and the kids love the farm animals! Highly recommend.
Ive been going to this family owned and run farm for years. Aside from the best carrot cake, they have a host of other baked goods, vegetables, foods and and gifts to choose from. Everything is delicious and the grounds are great for kid or to just enjoy your meal and relax.
Ive had fresh food before and the taste is always recognizable. The food here is always on another level just from the pure freshness youre getting. Any time my fiancé and I need a break from the typical restaurants, we come here for what good food is supposed to taste. They serve different menus daily, including during breakfast and lunchtime depending on what they have on hand for that day (another indicator of how fresh their food is). I will always recommend them, especially their chicken sandwich!
Family friendly (lots of high chairs), indoor and outdoor seating, large menu of cakes and sandwiches. The carrot cake and apple cider donuts were fantastic. There’s an art gallery next door with restrooms including a changing table for kids. You can walk around the property as well and feed animals. Above the restaurant is a large shop of children’s toys, clothing and houseware items.
Jones Farm is a family run spot just outside of downtown Cornwall with a small general store, counter serve cafe, a few farm animals, and a garden. We dropped by for breakfast and baked goods on a Sunday. The avocado toast was honestly underwhelming in flavor and quality, but everything else was a great value. The ham, egg, and cheese was a classic, no frills breakfast sandwich with a price to match. Each Sunday breakfast was served with a delicious complimentary homemade apple cider donut. That donut and the cookies we grabbed to go are truly the strength of their food offering. Service wasn’t overly fast or friendly, but I just couldn’t post a lower rating given the awesome selection of baked goods and beautiful views from their patio. Recommend stopping by for a donut, cookie, or really any pastry.
Visited nearby Storm King Art Center and saw this place had some great reviews and was closeby. Arrived in the early afternoon on a weekday and the place was pretty busy. There are some animals in the parking area. The store itself seemed to have some deicious items. Some fruits and veggies as well as some excellent baked goods. They had a wide assortment of cookies all of which were amazing and their apple pie was one of the best Ive ever had. There is also a fresh food menu with some interesting items which all seemed great. There is seating inside as well as outside. There was also some seating the back which opened up to some flowers and lovely views. While in the store though, I got the feeling that this was a hometown/local crowd as everyone seemed to be all smiled and giggles. I heard hows mom/dad/someones name a few time so everyone seemed familiar with each other. I though, didnt seem to get that same cheeriness. It wasnt rude or anything, but I would have welcomed that same attitude.
Great for breakfast and lunch - a great place for unique gifts, baked goods and local treats. We had a cup of chili, a cup on Sumatra Mocha coffee from Dean’s Beans (it was delicious) - we ordered the salad with goat cheese, grilled butternut squash, and chicken, and the fried eggplant on focaccia. All was so delicious and fresh and we topped it off with a shared piece of their famous carrot cake. You can preorder their famous apple cider donuts. Love this place!
I love Jones Farm! I love to see the farm animals outside, the chickens are so cute. I love going to the store upstairs and walking around to see all the gifts, clothing, candles, cards, and even toys for kids. Also, I love going downstairs to admire and inevitably purchase delicious treats or get breakfast or lunch. Their apple cider donuts are amazing! Their Deadly Carrot Cake is THE BEST carrot cake youll EVER eat! Their Avocado Toast is really tasty! Their Mac and Cheese is yummy! And I love that they make coffee ice cubes for their iced coffee!! Go there! And say Hi to Grandma Phoebe!
What a country treasure nestled in the hills! If you blink you might miss the entrance! Large animals are penned in but the chickens roam freely just dont let them in the door. We spent quite a bit of time here, browsing upstairs for gifts and trying to decide what local canned goods and fresh baked pies to purchase. We even got to taste almost every kind of fudge they made there and bought 2 boxes. We also bought 2 peach pies that were amazing warmed up with ice cream after dinner! The store also has a small indoor and outdoor dining area where they serve all kinds of food from their kitchen. I highly recommend you stop to see this gem.
Had some EXCELLENT butternut squash soup and an equally good carrot cake (which will soon have disappeared). Great location worth checking out for some tasty finds and peaceful surroundings. Extremely nice people working here, too. And you can’t forget the chickens!! Make sure to stop by!
What great breakfasts and lunch dining. This country place is really 5 stars. Also the bake goods and coffee are spectacular. There is a small specially shop for getting unique gifts and a gallery. The menu does change with the daily specials. Check the web site for the days they are open. A great country farm with goats and chickens and views of the mountains and farm. Mostly outdoor eating.
I just walked out of this place. What a snotty, unprofessional woman I encountered behind the counter. I am a regular customer and have brought many people here to both shop and eat. Well this woman behind the counter has always been a bit forward and on the pushy side, but today was the last straw. I came in to order lunch at the appropriate time according to what was posted on the website and the sign at the entrance. As it turns out they changed their lunch hour and I was 15 minutes early. When I asked about ordering lunch I was dismissed and was told to go ahead and grab a cold sandwich from the refrigerator. I was also then told if I wanted to order something I would have to wait. Not that that was such a big issue, it was how she spoke to me. So rude. And here I am showing up at the time that I was supposed to according to the information on the website, and I was treated like I was wrong and even a bother. I’m never coming back here nor will I ever bring anybody here again. I’m going to tell everybody I’ve ever brought here never to come back and why. And I’m sure they will not. It would do Jones Farm a great service to fire this rude woman. She is the counterperson with short dark hair in case anybody wants to know. I really deserved better treatment than that.
What a special place! Make sure to visit Jones Farm when you’re in Cornwall. We stayed at the Cromwell Manor Inn next door and went to Jones Farm for breakfast both days we stayed - so delicious! Husband loved the breakfast sandwiches, I loved the French Toast, and the coffee was great (plus free refills!). The chickens were hysterical - the were very bold and we saw one jump on a table and steal a donut lol 😂. Staff were so friendly, made us feel so welcome. Very cute selection of things in the gift shop, came home with some new pottery.
Delicious food, friendly service and nice produce as well! Stopped here for lunch after Storm King and ate outdoors on the patio.Fried chicken sandwich was delicious as was the meatloaf special of the day. Apple cider donuts were tasty, as were the almond cookies - enjoyed everything that we tried!
Absolutely love Jones Farm. Such a beautiful place, lovely little garden patio out front and beautiful views out back. They have wonderful breakfast/lunch options and their cookies, donuts and other sweet treats are delicious and taste homemade. They have the best fudge as well! More importantly, the staff are super sweet, helpful and very friendly. I had the pleasure of meeting Suzanne recently, and she helped me set up a delivery order for my son (West Point cadet). She is the sweetest!!! And so patient and helpful too! My son received his order and absolutely loved it! So grateful to have found Jones Farm and looking forward to our return visits each time we visit our son… and now my son is looking forward to these surprise deliveries as well!
Jones Farm has been a staple in my family for years. Ive done printing of Terris amazing pastels and paintings. David and Terri were amazing to my family and my business. Their warmth and love comes through their service on the farm as well.Jones Farm in general has amazing local gifts, food, and other things youd come to expect for a locally family owned farm in the Hudson Valley. Not a single drop of disappointment when I visit. Thank you for the years of service to our community and the way you treated my family and I when we ran out business.
Jones farm is a go to for our family especially after taking a hike at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum just across the street. Warm, cozy, family friendly, the food is wonderful and the gift shop offers a huge selection of unique items, perfect for gifts, yourself, or your home. Added bonus for the kids, chickens roam freely and there are 2 ponies, a couple of goats and a few cats.
What a great outdoors and indoors destination. Super friendly people to meet, with an art gallery, frame shop, farm stand, fresh hot coffees and teas, home made foods, meals and sandwiches, oh my! Five different seating areas, 3 inside, and 2 outside, and chickens, roosters and other farm animals to see. Plus so much more and I aint telling. The (Real) Jones Farm is it! Est! Est!! Est!!! Enjoy! Love, Geo.
I love Jones Farm! Ive been coming since I was a kid and its still as wonderful as it was back then. Theyve expanded to have a little cafe which I tried for the first time yesterday, and it was delicious! All of their baked goods are superb. All homemade. I love their cider donuts and have to pick up some every time I visit. The property is beautiful as well. Its nice to drive up and be greeted by the roosters, mini horse, goats and other farm animals. Their gift shop and art gallery are very nice as well. I will continue to visit for many years to come and gladly bring newcomers to enjoy!
My family has enjoyed visiting Jones Farm for the past 26 years. I loved taking my beloved children there on weekends and now I get to take my precious GrandSugars.Friendly staff, beautiful gift shop full of locally made items, yummy handmade pies and the biggest hit--the delicious fresh donuts made daily. We have beautiful memories of Jones Farm and look forward to many more.
My husband and I try to have breakfast together once a week and this is one of our favorite places, especially when the patio is open. The breakfast tostadas are really great, fresh ingredients and very filling. The breakfast sandwiches are on brioche rolls and super tasty. The french toast is my sons favorite, they offer real syrup. Perfect little spot to enjoy the view, food and friends. Dont forget to take home some apple cider donuts for later!
AMAZING food - breakfast or lunch! Cider donuts, animals to feed for the kids, a live bee hive, outdoor dining with a great view, country store / art gallery and a great family operation make even more irresistible. Our go-to spot any weekend of the year for a relaxed lunch/brunch out, and will be for years to come. Keep it up!
Excellent Bakery really good food for lunch and breakfast. gift shop has so many items unique and different you can always find something really cool for a gift or yourself. Wonderful place to bring your kids for the animals and pumpkin picking. Lots of Specialty Foods and snacks. Outside views of spectacular!
Jones Farm is a really nice quiet place to visit and have breakfast. Ive been coming here for a while to buy the lovely balsam fir soap they sell. I also picked up a shampoo bar to try out but there were so many other things I would have taken home with me if I had had the extra money. Their blueberry preserves are one of my favorite things along with their fresh eggs and nothing beats local food, you get some tasty things and youre helping the farm stay in business. Its a win win in my book! As long as you keep selling the balsam fir soap and blueberry preserves, Ill keep coming back!
The farm was lovely, although we did hope for a bit more of a wander around the grounds. We arrived just in time for breakfast and it definitely lived up to the hype! The salmon crepe was perfectly portioned and heavy on the dill cream, and the help-yourself-coffee-bar a nice touch. I also had the pleasure of trying some of their baked goods and I would definitely recommend you take some home with you!!
Ive been coming here since I was 10. Now in my thirties, even though I no longer live in New York, I always make a point of visiting when Im in the area. Its been fun to see the farm store evolve over the years to include a cafe and so many lovely gifts. Still, so much has also stayed the same: the petting zoo, the fudge, the family feel! Grandmas always there when I go, which makes me so happy! Ill always keep coming back for an apple cider doughnut and a big helping of nostalgia. :)
Always a delight to come to Jones Farm. Grandma and grandpa both still work daily. The baked goods are outstanding. We love the carrot cake, chocolate mousse cake, and almond champagne cookies. They make coffee ice cubes for their iced coffee. My daughter LOVES their grilled cheese sandwich. We always make sure we feed the chickens and duck.
Absolute Gem in Cornwall/New Windsor area. It has such a wonderful atmosphere and simple touch. My husband and I got engaged here about 3.5 years ago because we loved the place so much. Its a fairy tale location just 5 miles from home. You can feed the chickens, walk in the art studio and grab lunch/breakfast while enjoying the outdoor scenery. By far the best bakery items around
Wow! The Jones Farm is an iconic symbol of what it must have been like to grow up in this area “back in the day...”. Their food is spectacular. Everything is fresh off the farm! I managed to get a carrot cake from their bakery for Easter this year. They sell out of everything it’s so good. The Fudge, the Bee Hive and the wonderful people who work there! It makes for a fantastic day down on the farm!
Lots of fun for the family. Smaller than other locations but offered a lot as far as food and activities. Hayride, Art gallery, Cafe, and barn for the kids to feed and pet the animals. Wish there was at least one more activity to do there. However, an overall wonderful experience for my family.
Me and my wife ate breakfast there. She had a bacon, egg with home fries. I had the buttermilk pancakes. It was delicious. We ate outside with the chickens near us and the cows and miniature horses off in the distance. We loved it so much that we came back for lunch the same day. This time with some family that had come by to visit. We sat out back with the views of the farm and surrounding mountains. Its a beautiful place to visit, have food and pick up some items from the country store.
My wife and I went here for lunch. Food was very good farm-to-table type stuff. However, when we went to the gift shop my wife wanted to purchase a handbag that was Marked $24.99. When we brought it to the cash register, the woman rang it up as $99.99. when we explained to her that there was another one over there with the zipper that was a bit nicer marked $49.99 she took both the purses look them up on a sheet she had in a folder, and then without saying a word rang the original one up as $49.99. Needless to say we purchase nothing. We will not go back. She was rude and very condescending. I would give the food for stars and the gift shop one star. Thats why the two star rating.
Let me begin by saying normally I love jones farm. The food is always solid and of course the atmosphere is amazing. But his recent trip was very disappointing. I arrived a few minutes before 12 with my hungry toddler in tow. We had to wait until 12:15 to order. Food arrived at about 20-25 minutes later. I ordered the chicken gyro- out of the three very small pieces of chicken that were on the pita- two were too dry to chew. The food runner happily swapped it for a different sandwich. At this point I had to leave. I grabbed the caprese sandwich in place and had them box it up. Sadly, this sandwich was even more disappointing than my original order. The ciabatta was super dry because day old bread needs to be grilled to soften! Come on guys. Dry chicken. Dry bread. Get it together. It’s 3:30 and my toddler is happy and home napping but I still haven’t had lunch 🤣. Better luck next time I hope. PS. The server was super accommodating and sweet.
Im giving this a five star review only because it wont let me give more than five stars. This is a classic, local, family-owned business, which shows in the quality of the goods and the staff. The barnyard adjacent to the parking area is great for kids and adults alike, with a variety of animals which you can also feed. The art gallery features some great pastels and other displays. They also have a custom framing shop downstairs from the gallery. The main building has a bakery and full farm market on the lower level. The aroma of fresh cider donuts overwhelms you upon entering. They have an assortment of different flavored coffee. Cooking in a crockpot was some delicious, homemade lentil soup, which we got to-go for lunch. They have homemade fudge, donuts, a large variety of homemade cakes and cookies, and all sorts of other homemade items that youd typically find at a farmers market. The apiary is interesting to watch with all of the bees crawling around, where the Jones farm apparently makes their honey from. Their homemade jams are also decodent. They also have an assortment of fresh, homegrown vegetables, which they said are picked daily. They have everything from potatoes to onions to asparagus. There is a sitting area outside with lawn chairs and tables for those who wish to enjoy some snacks or coffee while watching the animals.Upstairs in the main building is a womans haven, with everything from candles to perfume to handmade jewelry. The staff are extremely friendly. They obviously enjoy their jobs and it shows. Everyone walks around with smiles on their faces and offering to help. This is what local business is all about and the benefits of shopping local versus a chain. The service and customization here is phenomenal. The elderly lady, apparently the owner, stops and talks with all of the customers to make sure everything is ok and is highly knowledgable on their products. This is a great place to spend a few hours on a Sunday, or any other day for that matter.
Jones Farm is wonderful. If you are staying in the area or just passing through I cant recommend Jones Farm highly enough! I mean, theres farm animals, a see-through bee hive, good coffee, a gift shop, a framing store, a bakery, and a cafe all in one place. Go, its great!
A fantastic family run farm that continues to evolve. Come in for coffee and tea and head upstairs for sundries and American crafted items. Go back downstairs for lunch (or breakfast) on a daily changing menu. Experienced cooking and bread making highlight every meal. Walk over to the gallery for paintings and framings. Finally, dont you dare leave without dessert or items from the farm. The deadly carrot cake, sweet potato pie and champagne almond cookie are my highlights. Whenever we visit family they now expect dessert from Jones Farm.
We went there on a weekend with our group home residents. We went to the gift shop and then we ordered food to take home and the ladies bought pumpkins and chrysanthemums and they were beautiful. The only issue I had was I was online and had purchased something from the gift shop but brought it downstairs when we went to order food I did not know I should have paid for it upstairs in the gift shop as the cashier rudely pointed out I told her I am not going back upstairs again because I waited over a half hour online just to pay for the food and asked her if she would take it back and with an attitude she said you can pay for it here. Otherwise we had a good time but I dont know if well go back there again
Truly is the conglomeration of what the Hudson Valley is. The smells accent an amazing fall day, the animals making noises makes spring exciting and welcome. The service, bakery, gifts, etc, all quality, lasting and meaningful. Its a staple of the surrounding area, must go!

2022-05-05Cute shop upstairs. Little farm where you can feed the chickens and goat. They had two little ponies as well. I ate in the dining area with my mom we both enjoyed the egg sandwiches which were delicious and affordable. I wish they had more animals but it was still nice to feed the cute animals.

2021-11-20Been coming to Jones Farm since I was little in the 80s. Hands down the cutest shop for gifts, candles, toys and cakes, even breakfast and lunch. A thoughtfully curated Art gallery. It is run from the heart of an amazing family. We’re the 3rd generation to patronize this special farm and cannot thank them enough for always welcoming new comers and locals alike with smile.

2021-06-26Bakers haven! This place has pies, cookies, breakfast, and the rum cake! Coffee, you name it this farm has it. Even a cute shopping boutique, take your grub upstairs. There is an animal farm you can see behind a fence. Also great outdoor patio you can also sit and enjoy. The staff was very helpful and gave great recommendations. Great place to just chill.

2022-06-07Jones Farm provided dessert for our wedding. They had a wide selection, all of which were delicious, and the only problem was figuring out what to get. Our guests absolutely loved them. The staff were extremely easy to work with in planning and delivering the pies day-of.
