We had a heating oil leak from the oil furnace, so we definitely needed to get it checked out ASAP. Called and they gave me an appointment quick. Rick came out early in the morning, very nice, profesional, and even wore those plastic booties on his shoes to walk around the house! He was able to find the leak and replace the part quickly and efficiently. He took the time to answer all of my questions (which were a lot), and explained what he was doing in detail, very happy with his work. Will be using again, and would totally recommend. Damon was thorough, and helped me understand the issue at hand and gave me options to choose from to make the most of his assessment. He was very generous with his professional experience and helped me properly communicate with another agency needed to begin the work. I used JSP for my split unit purchase and installation. They were so thorough, responsive and patient. I would recommend them to everyone. Did not rush the job. Josh and George spent two days installing two new a/c systems at our home. They were very professional. Always on time. Cleaned up. Answered all questions. Discussed issues with us that arose and sought more expertise when needed. Did a great job. Very pleased.
JSP dispatched Robert & Matt to repair a baseboard split by a freeze-up. They went above and beyond in assessing the whole zone system, explaining what had to be done now and what should be done soon, and making the immediate repairs work with the ancient boiler I hope to replace before long. They were scrupulous about Covid safety, easy to talk to, total pros. I did have to wait an extra day because a technician called in sick yesterday, but the dispatcher kept me posted, and Robert and Matt came this morning as scheduled and did a great job. First time using this company and Im very pleased!
JSP arrived a day earlier than expected. Did a thorough inspection of the proposed area of the leaking pipe, fixed it and fixed a faulty toilet, as well. Made good suggestions for other companies to address a couple of other issues.We have hired JSP before and had been very happy with their work. We wont hesitate to call upon them again.
Taylor came out to help locate and repair a leak at our home. He was professional, thorough and gave great advice. It was also easy to schedule an appointment and the back office staff have all been super friendly and helpful. Communication has been top notch.
Richard Peruso was the serviceman who came to my house and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided multiple options for my aging oil burner system and I never felt pressured. He took the time to listen carefully and answer all of my questions. JSP charges a dispatch fee which goes towards the repair work. Even though I chose not to have work done at that time, I believe the fee was well worth the professional advice I received. The fee ensures JSPs time is not wasted which is respectful to the professionals that work for them.
Unfortunately, 3rd time wasnt the charm using JSP Home Services. My wife and I had talked to JSP about installing a brand new water heater for one of the tenants apartments that needed a new one badly. We were waiting for an appointment date. On Sunday, my wife received a surprise message that the installation was happening Monday (the next day.) This was not only a surprise, but this was an appointment we didnt want. I called and got a voicemail (I knew I wasnt going to get anyone since it was a Sunday, but my wife received a message on Sunday; that was interesting) to cancel the appointment, and please call to reschedule. My wife got up early and went to work before I woke up but to my horror, when I woke up, JSP Services parked not only on our driveway, but the technicians were already working on the heater! After a long mess of calling JSP Services, my wife (the landlord), and explaining to the apartment tenant about the new heater installation, it was okay for the technicians to install. The installation went well, the technicians did a great job, and the new heater works great. Its too bad that was the only good thing. The communication was poor, and although our overall experience with JSP services is good, we will be hesitant with our next choice with JSP Services.
I have a broken hot water faucet in the bathroom. Tyler was able to install a shutoff valve that I can turn on and off as the faucet is old and is no longer available. This will give me time to get a new drop in sink that I will have JSP Home Services install.Tyler was so nice and professional and really tried to find a solution for me that is within my budget. I so appreciated that! I would highly recommend Tyler and JSP Home Services.
We had various plumbing fixes and replacements to complete. Taylor M. came out and did a thorough review and provided quotes for several different scenarios (and even quickly called me back when I needed a quote for another scenario). Taylor M. returned today and completed all the work. Everything looks fantastic, works perfectly, and Taylor was so friendly and professional the entire time. Great experience with JSP!
The technician was very professional and knowledgeable and listened to our concerns and suggested some choices we could make. The communications with JSP were excellent keeping us informed about our appointments via text, Email, and phone. I like that the technician kept an updated list of tasks to be done and the goal of each task. I also like that JSP answered the phone right away whenever we called. The technician did excellent work.
I called for heating maintenance service.....and was scheduled a few weeks out, but decided to keep the appointment and not look for another vendor since the recommendations I had received were so positive. Gary came out today and after finding his way thru a very restricted opening to my attic did a quick assessment and recognized the furnace was clean and did not require any service at all. His honesty and professionalism is exactly what will bring continued confidence in me reaching out to JSP again.I signed up for their annual maintenance service for both heating and A/C.Thanks again for being honest and professional...Kudos to Gary for representing your company so well.
JSP Home Services came to fix the hot water coil. Our Repair Man was Gary (Boyce) He scheduled the appointment quickly, came on time, and fully fixed the issue which included replacing a hot water coil... the job was done in about an 1.5 hours or less. When Gary was done he tested each water spout, sinks and shower and removed the faucet and shower heads to dissolve the calcium build up from our hard water in a solution which improved the water flow. (This greatly helped because I struggled to get the hard water build up off before and now the shower head is like its brand new and the shower pressure is amazing!)Gary also fixed the washer machine when I mentioned it was not working properly, he fixed it and its working great and now works on all the settings and runs through the cycles faster now!Gary was professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. I would recommend him to anyone. I was able to go about my day while he was working and with confidence. Additionally he was great with my dog! :-)Thanks Gary!
I cannot say enough about Jared who came to my home! He was professional polite courteous and friendly. He explained the problem, advised what should be done, the potential cost and went above and beyond to help us navigate the next step. Ryan was beyond!! We had to completely redo our water system because of a sulfur problem. I am in owe that I requested this on Monday (parts had to be ordered) and by Thursday I had a complete new water system. This was a rather complicated installation. Ryan was timely, profesional, super helpful and delightful, and did an exquisite job. The communication with the office was also super! They were all really impressive.

I signed up for the Home Club package and I am completely pleased with my experience. Everyone is extremely kind and personable, fair and thorough. My technician today pointed out an issue not related to his visit. He talked through possible resolutions with my wife and explained why the issues were important. We seriously recommend JSP.
I had a great experience with JSP! I called them when my boiler stopped working and everyone I spoke to was helpful and clear. Rick Peruso quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue and was very patient and professional even as I asked a million questions. I was so impressed with the experience I opted to sign up for a maintenance contract with JSP for future work.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. First time customer with JSP. Had scheduled an appointment for a Thursday afternoon through this company due to the drain pipe for my washer machine backing up. Received a call from dispatch at 3 pm and stated they would not be coming due to an emergency call out and would not be able to make it until Monday morning. Rescheduled for first thing Monday morning at 8 am. Received call at 8:30 that my technician was out sick and that I would be the second appointment around 9:30-10:00. They would call when the plumber was on the way. I am writing this at 2:00 in the afternoon. Still have not received a phone call. Save your time and call another company!
We had a really great experience with JSP Home services!! We first met with Jason who asked alot of questions so he could be sure and set us up with exactly what we needed to fit our lifestyle. From the salesman to the installation I found this company so easy to deal with. Gary serviced a longtime problem we were having with our radiant floor heating. He explained thoroughly how this heating system works and identified and fixed the problem. He told us it would take a few days for the correction to take hold. We look forward to finally having radiant heating that functions properly!We are very impressed with JSP Home Services!

I am an architect and I have worked with hundreds contractors. This company is a racket.JSP came to my house to repair a clogged pipe. They charged a heavy service fee just to come inspect and then wanted $1100 to snake the line. I told them that was too much and called the next guy on my list who did the assessment and repair for $300.I called JSP to complain, and they said someone would call me back to discuss a refund. No one called.This place will take advantage of you when youre in an emergency situation. Call the next guy on your list.
Bryan was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. Totally trusted his take on what the issue was with our toilet and I couldnt be happier with the result. He even ran out to get the new toilet himself to help speed the process along. Totally recommend!

Shaun replaced washing machine water valves in preparation for installation of a new machine. He did an excellent job in a very timely manner for a reasonable price. He was courteous, communicative, and always on time. Highly recommend!!
Sam is by far the most helpful plumber Ive ever worked with. I have an old house with a ton of problems, and he offered me different options for addressing things every step of the way, helped me understand better how my house works, and modernized my kitchen and bathroom with better pipes and fixtures. He stayed until the job was done to make sure everything was done well, and gave me a lot of great info on what to do next. It makes such a difference when you work with someone who helps you make sense of your house!
I had Ernie over after my pipes for base board heating froze and were damaged. This job was no small undertaking, but he did the job right and stayed until he was happy with it too. His commitment to getting the job done and getting the heat back on is truly appreciated. After this experience I would recommend JSP and Ernie to anyone with a plumbing need.
Set up for 3:15 install of a sewage waste pump, I had purchased at Lowes.Spoke to Tyler at 2:45pm. Told him I would be there by 3pm....Ohhhhhh, Im sorry, were not going to make it to your place...I was just about to call youAre you kidding ??Thank you for leaving me in the lurch and having to put up two tenants and a hotel room for the night... Not sure if you know how that much that costs...I replace the pump the following morning, by myself. Working great and cost me less than $500 total...To tell someone 15 minutes prior to their appointment that you are not coming is very very unprofessional... And cost me money housing tenants and a hotel.
We have not yet made any decisions. We are in the beginning stages of getting estimates and determining what A/C options are available for our older ductless home. The reps arrived on time, were professional, explained our options, were personable, and friendly. We can’t comment on quality or value because this is our first quote and we have not made any decision or had work done yet, but the reps were very helpful! Thanks!
Shaun was very professional and honest about the repairs that needed to be done. He stayed 4 hours over his shift to ensure we had water for the weekend. He returned on Monday to finish the job as he said he would. He was an excellent plumber and was respectful.
Woke up on a Sunday with no water. The well pump was no longer working. The answering service had someone call us within ten minutes. Sam arrived approximately 40 minutes later. Very professional and friendly. Gave us an estimate, went for parts and arrived back with Mikey to help. They were great!!! They got the pump replaced and we had water again. They made sure everything worked before they left and everything was cleaned before they left. Thank you so much for being efficient, friendly and knowledgeable!!! We will certainly usually JSP again!
Perhaps posting an online review will allow me to receive the customer service JSP so enthusiastically boats about. More than five weeks into an ongoing problem with my furnace and each and every time I call I am told the same thing - that they will have someone look into the problem and get back to me. Problem is, they actually never call me back. Getting simple answers as to when a part was ordered and when it is expected to arrive is apparently asking for too much. Today marks one full week since I was last told that a “dispatcher” would call me back with more information - the same thing I was told today as I called. Other times I am promised that the person I was talking with would personally walk to the warehouse and get more information and call me back - nothing. Multiply that by three times a week for five weeks.This doesn’t even begin to describe what I feel is either apathy or neglect. Perhaps this is the problem with using a large company that makes big promises but has little real concern for those of us who have already paid the annual “club” fee and have paid for parts before the tech even ordered them.Since I was just told that there was no one in a leadership role that I could speak to, I thought I’d try this route.
RJ is great! Always prompt, always good-natured and very helpful. JSP has been a great service for e because they are very clear about procedures and costs so I can make decisions about the upkeep of my home. AAA+
Taylor was simply amazing! That was hands down, the best installation/repair service experience my fiancé and I have EVER had. And when I say that, I mean ever. For anything. He was super nice. He was up front and honest. He made us all feel comfortable. It’s always odd to have someone you don’t know come into your home. Taylor didn’t give that feeling at all. My central air wasn’t functioning and I search for a new contractor because I was dissatisfied with my previous service contractor. The numerous “5 star” reviews on JSP prompted me to call. I was not disappointed at all. The initial call impressed me greatly where the receptionist made me feel that I was a previous customer. The technicians arrived on the appointed date and professionally diagnosed the problem with our central AC and fixed it immediately. All the time the technicians were present repairing my AC, they continually gave me advice about the equipment they were repairing. The information garnered during this visit was more than I received in all the 15 years I owned this equipment. The technicians thoroughly knew their job and continuously photographed my equipment to add to a digital database of my account. Zachary Sutka of JSP Home Services came to our house on Friday and Saturday July 4th weekend to identify and fix a leak in our mini split system. My experience with JSP was super ! My technician (RJ) was professional, knowledgable, took time to explain everything to me. The cost was well below what another plumber quoted me ( before he even came to the house !!) I would definitely reccommend them and will use them again in the future.
Joined their membership program, which costs a few hundred dollars a year. It still took a week to get an appointment to fix a broken sink. The day of the appointment I called in the AM to confirm. They said sure sometime later today! An hour later they called to cancel. Dont spend the money on the membership program. Just find another plumber, in fact.
Ernest came out to check out a pipe repair for us. The price was too much for our comfort so we had to deny service. But Ernest was super professional, and got to our house incredibly fast. :)
JSP was very responsive. Sent a photo of the electrician prior to service. Rene was timely, courteous and professional. Central Hudson came to hook the lines to the service and said Rene did an excellent job on the repairs.
Bryan was responsible and very helpful. He told me of several options for fixing my leaky faucets and replacing two valves. He worked hard to repair some fixtures rather than just discarding them and replacing them with more expensive new parts.
Mike and his assistant Khalil installed new faucets and a new water softener. They were friendly, cleaned up, and left us with a much better situation than we had before. Mike also made it clear he was available for any questions we had after he left and when I texted him about something, he got back to me quickly. We will be happy to have Mike and Khalil back for other work in the future.
Called for A/C service at 10 am. They were there by 12:30 and diagnosed the problem quickly. Communication was excellent from making appt to texting us to say they were on their way(also including a pic of repairman,). Richard P was very professional and thorough. First time we used JSP and will definitely be a top of list next time. Thank you!
Ryan was exceptionally good at replacing my leaking toilet. He was very helpful regarding my water quality among other topics. This company was the only one who responded and helped me. Highly recommend.

John Kerr was very knowledgeable and helpful. He arrived on time and was very good looking into all details. I was very happy very happy with the time he took explaining all of my options for a new air conditioning system.
After the downstairs toilet overflowed plus sink filled with laundry water, Sean Galligher replaced all the old piping under our stairs and behind the downstairs bathroom besides replacing that area behind the toilet that had decayed. He also replaced the toilet and put in a pump to direct the outflow to the outside sewer pipe which was above the pipes inside the house. He put in hours and hours of work to do this job and corrected a large problem ultimately giving us the use of our downstairs bathroom plus newer and larger piping that was needed. We highly recommend him for doing that grueling and tiring work plus explaining all that was being done to correct this problem. We would not hesitate to have him come and solve any future problems that may happen plus recommend him to others.
Mike A. is a great Rep of JSP. JSP always comes through and this time was no different. Mike assessed the situation, got the job done right, and taught me a thing or two along the way. You get what you pay for in this industry and JSP is always worth it.
PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY!My husband and I had a horrible experience with them when they replaced our boiler. It was a RIDICULOUS rate but we felt backed in a corner because it was literally 3 degrees outside and we had no heat. Then it took them OVER A MONTH to actually get the boiler working properly and we STILL have a thermostat that is not the right thermostat even though its been months now.They tried to right their mistakes by extending the customer service warranty saying we are at the top of the list and dont have to pay for service calls. Recently after the big rainstorm in the area, we had a leak and called them. It took an hour to hear back and even though we had the promise of free service calls, they charged $450 because it was outside of business hours which is something that was never made clear to us.They then misdiagnosed the issue by saying our water main had broken and said it would cost $11,000 dollars to fix which would include excavating up our backyard. With water pouring into our basement, we felt panicky and paid the $5,000 deposit on the spot at 11pm at night. (By the way, Ive since learned that it is NYS law that a contractor can only take 1/3 the entire rate as a deposit.) The next day, after a long night of replacing towels and using the shop vac to control the water, the leak had stopped and we had two different second opinions who told us it was a leak in the foundation that simply needed to be fortified.There was never a water main break, and we didnt need to spend thousands of dollars to fix this issue OR have our yard ripped up. (Thank you to the two contractors who gave us honest second opinions!) In fact, the leak cost $250 to fix.Getting the refund of the deposit was another run-around that I wouldnt wish on anyone.They are a company that is not to be trusted. They will literally lie to cheat you out of money at your most desperate moment.Stay. Away.

Richard (Rick) Peruso is the best HVAC person we have ever had work on our dysfunctional system. He has drawn on his years of experience to ascertain all the issues challenging our system. No other JSP HVAC person ever discovered the challenges he found and thoroughly explained. Even an issue he found today that is not coded in the service menu. Rick is in my phone under HVAC. We dont want to deal with anyone else but him. Rick should receive an extra $200 commission for representing the company, which is not well received in the Marcott-Cottekill area. Damon came to do a diagnostic on our tankless water heater. He seems very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. So far, so good but I will update this review after the unit is serviced.

Javier was on time and spent several hours trouble shooting a panel box that was overheating. He tested and retested before coming to a conclusion. Very thorough. He also didnt track mud in the house and was very pleasant to deal with. He went over the estimate for repairs in detail. I would reccommend him.
After haveing jsp come and swap out a thermostat and bleed my radiators (750+$) my wife accidentally wrote them a check for an account we had been trying to close do to a fraudulent charge. Realizing her mistake she notified them ASAP and was assured they destroyed the check and would not cash it as it would over draw the account (witch was empty due to the fraudulent activity and waiting for a deposit to clear so we could close the account). When I found out how much it cost i called them because I wanted an itemized bill for what was done as the tech was only here for 45 mins. Did not receive one. I then asked if they would take two or three installments considering the trying times everyone is facing. They said no absolutely not we don’t do that with extreme attitude. I then said ok I will be mailing a new check tomorrow. Thankfully I check my bank account before mailing because guess what? Yup you guessed it they then went and cashed the check they claimed to have destroyed. Over drawing an account that had been compromised. Causing me countless fees and yet another fraudulent charge because the account didn’t get closed on time. You think that would be it right? Nope they then tried to say we didn’t pay them and the check was never cashed . Well I got bank statements to prove otherwise. This place is untrustworthy and grimy. Iv had water issues for over a year and they do nothing but waste my time and money. Of the three or four times I have called only once was productive and it took them two trips and over ten hrs to replace a shower valve. I do not recommend and will no longer be using their “services “

Excellent communication from the outset, something that is so hard to find in the Catskills. They showed up on time, pricing was clear and fair. No hard sel whatsoever. I would wholeheartedly use them again and subscribed to their home care plan as I was so impressed.
RJ and Matt were great, friendly and installation was well done. Had to fix a faulty outlet in addition to scheduled installations, and did so without complaint or additional cost.

Have had a friend, use their services, totally unprofessional screwjob, waited on the phone for hours to talk to somebody multiple times to explain , put on hold, getting jirked back and fourth, until i just decided to fix the job they never completed, bu watching some YouTube tutorials, sad really. Took advantage of financing also. Then threatened with liens. I felt bad for my neighbor dealing with this.

Always the best in the area. Weve tried all the others and these guys are the best, even if theyre a bit more pricey. The yearly service reduced the cost though and is well worth it. Unlike cheaper contractors they do the job on time and well.
Rich was great! He walked me through the good, bad, and ugly of our AC. It totally felt like he was giving 100% honest assessments. And he went the extra in every way. Sometimes I wonder if we need this service, but then techs like Rich leave me feeling like JSP is definitely the right way to go.
This business has become very unreliable over the last 3 years. We have been using this business since 2016 for our AC needs and over the last few years they are not the company that we began using 6 years ago. Front office staff (managers) are no help when a problem arises of their causing and refuse to do the right thing by the people who keep them in business. THE CUSTOMERS!!! We pay your salaries and keep you in business. Take care of the people paying your bills by utilizing your business.

From water testing, to installation (UV filter, iron filtration system, backwash cleaning system, ductwork and connections), the whole experience was first class. Have used JSP since 2007 for my home and my business- John Parker and his whole team are professional, reliable, honest, and skilled. Great communication with the office staff, as well. Ryan came this week and replaced our toilet and installed a new spigot for our hose, as well as recommended fixing the sulfur water that’s damaging our pipes. He gave a list of different options for remediation of the problems, ranging from most recommended option to least expensive (depending on budget) and communicated thoroughly with us. Great work and I highly recommend JSP to anyone whos looking for a high quality and reliable plumbing service.

Randy W. resolved our heating situation by scheduling an installation of a new furnace within less than an hour. The date and time was perfect for my schedule and service was outstanding. He was very professional, on time, and used all COVID safety practices. The process was easy and well explained. I had called my propane supplier and was told to call a plumber as they had no technicians available. Crazy! I found JSP through an internet search and Randy was over the next day. I would recommend this business and would like to add that Randy was great!
I have been using JSP for years and they are professional and knowledgeable- Robert Mazzuca has been my service technician in the past. He’s excellent and I now request that they send him if possible, although I know anyone at JSP would be good. Robert came today and did another excellent job. Yay!
Robert was AMAZING. A magician of sorts. As magical as Chuck Norris riding a unicorn through a rainbow of skittles. 100% would recommend. He took to the time to walk me through his process and explained the different scenarios we could do to fix my problem. JSP is pricey but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and services. Trevor installed three radiators into our 1850s house in three days. He did so with such precision and care and was an excellent communicator. We couldn’t of asked for a more polite and courteous professional and easy to work with company that does what they say they will do. We now have beautiful and functional new copper pipes and radiators in time for chilly nights. So happy.
Called JSP to repair a gas heater which suddenly quit and displayed an error code. Gary arrived the next morning, great guy, and got right to the problem, explained what was happening, ordered the needed parts while he was there, then let me know exactly what it would cost.Finding reliable, friendly people who know what theyre doing for home repairs can be challenging. I absolutely couldnt be happier with Gary and JSP. Thanks!
While I was not home when Gary arrived; I spoke to my son who was there. He stated that Gary was courteous, professional and able to explain why we were having the trouble with our furnace. For that reason, we chose to have continued services with JSP and we purchased the annual service plan with them. I would recommend them to anyone in need of service on their furnace.
My hot water tank sprung a leak. Brian Kantner was at my house within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and explained my options perfectly. Brian came back the next day and installed a new tank. The whole situation was handled very professional and very informative. Definitely be using JSP in the future.

I called them because my gas line must have froze and there is no gas coming to the house. They scheduled out 3 days and I waited even though in my opinion it was an emergent problem. I took the day off work which I will not be paid for to wait around all day for them. Then at 3pm when I called them again to find out when they would be here I was told they couldn’t make it but if I paid for an after hours emergency visit they could be here today. I have never seen such horrible customer service.

We hired jsp to install a system in our new dream home in 2020 and they continually broke their piping and exterior finishes during install. We agreed that an amount would be necessary for us to hire and find a contractor to finish their line hides and siding plus soffit damage. Then to our surprise jsp and after an agreement they submitted the agreed amount into collections. Now we are working through attorneys and a complete headache due to their incorrect accounting and communication. Be careful with your contracts and agreements. They really aren’t watching out for you.
A word of caution. Outrageous pricing for a standard, simple job.Had a JSP plumber come to repair a faulty ejector pump switch. It was a 2-minute diagnosis. He then took 50 minutes to create and quote me a few repair price options, ranging from $1,280 for just a switch swap to $2,800 for full pump replacement. I declined, but still had to pay the consultation fee since JSP requires it.Had another local plumber come in and repair it instead. The switch swap job took 1.25 hours and a $60 part, for a $300 total repair bill.JSP was going to charge me almost $1,300 for that same repair.I lost $125 on the JSP consultation fee, but lesson learned. Will never again ask them for even an estimate.Update from 1/16/22: after initially stating that my case was reviewed by the JSP team, admitting their mistake in the initial estimate, and promising the refund of the consult fee, no refund was ever issued. In the following months I called several times to inquire the whereabouts of the promised refund, only to be told that a manager would call me back shortly. 4 months later, still no call-back, nor any refund. For a company that supposedly prides themselves on their customer service, this is just plain ludicrous.
We changed our HVAC system, redid the plumbing of the whole house, so it was a big job with many moving pieces. Everyone we worked with was professional and knowledgeable. It was a smooth process. Hernie did a particularly outstanding and meticulous job on our project. Highly recommend. 5 out of 5!We also did some electrical work which was night & day in terms of experience. It all started with what turned out to be a misquote, and from there someone else from the team took over the project. The ambiance was tense and frustrating for all parties. There was a lack of communication and not everything was done as originally planned. What left us the most disappointed was the fact that they accidentally cut off the wire from our driveway lights, which we pointed out, but they did not care to fix. So we now have to hire an electrician to fix it.

I had a fantastic experience with JSP Home Services in installing mini-split units. Scheduling was easy with reminders and updates. The techs were very knowledgeable, professional, and answered all my questions. When they encountered an unexpected situation, the manager personally went onsite to assess the issue and called me to discuss options with a good plan and resolution. Installation was timely and done well. The crew explained to me how to control my unit, and cleaned up as if it were theyre own home. They even made followup phone calls to make sure everything was working as expected. I would 100% use them again!
I was hesitant to use JSP because a neighbor posted online that they were way overpriced but when we were in a bind and our Central Air system stopped working, we were given an outrageous quote from a smaller company. I called JSP and a few other companies. JSP was not only able to help me out quickly and professionally, but I found their prices very competitive and fair. The employees were a pleasure to work with. They were courteous, kind, and patient. We are extremely satisfied and will be doing business with them again.

Gus and Drew did a great job installing a ductless and full duct central AC, as well as put an AC atop a new furnace. This was a big job handled very well. I highly recommend JSP and Gus and Drew. I am to receive a rebate from my service provider but have not received it yet.

I cannot say enough positive things about JSP, and the two technicians we’ve had help us. First Sean came for a plumbing call. We had water coming through our living room ceiling light fixture after running our upstairs shower in our new house. Sean came and spent an hour inspecting the whole situation. He noticed a small bit of grout missing in the upstairs shower and recommended we try and caulk the shower before we had him tear out the ceiling. Boy are we grateful because that did it, and it would have been so easy for him to run up a huge bill.We signed up for the membership through Sean and one week later the blower in our Guest House stopped working. My folks were in there Thanksgiving week with no heat. JSP dispatched RJ right away and he was amazing. He also spent more than an hour analyzing the issue with the ancient system. He made a complete list of everything that needed to be repaired for it to function, and the things that should be repaired for it to last a little longer. He also shared his opinion that it was a lot of money to put in for the system and we asked that he contact the Comfort support specialist. He called it in right away and had Jason on the way this very day to go the cost of replacement so we could weigh our options. He was so knowledgeable and honest, and not pushy at all. He made it clear that he didn’t recommend spending thousands to fix this unit and explained why. He also helped us repair the minimum needed to get the system working until we could replace it. There is literally nothing more I could ask from a company and technicians. Sean and RJ were truly excellent. We’re so happy we stumbled upon JSP!

My old oil water heater was having problems and I called JSP because I knew that they were only a few blocks away.They came out quickly and gave a couple of options, including one to repair the heater using a replacement part for about $1k. It turned out later that the replacement part doesnt exist anymore? So I dont know why the option was offered initially. Eventually we decided to replace the oil heater with an electric one.The technician did a fine job, but the backend people at JSP had my email wrong and there were problems with JSPs scheduling/billing app that ended up wasting a day or two. I couldnt see an invoice and when the bill ended up being significantly higher than people told me it should cost it was hard to get the invoice or anyone to call me back, but that must be because someone at some point entered the email wrong. Eventually we got the email issue straightened out and I learned more about what I paid for.JSP is expensive and it is telling that things revolve so much around an app. But overall the work was done correctly and they came back out for free to fix a follow-up problem. Id say go with JSP if youre in an emergency because youre paying a premium for their availability. But if you dont have an emergency try to get other quotes. If its comparable then go with JSP because once you get past any other issues the work was done correctly.

I phoned one night with a water emergency, right before the Christmas holiday. Their customer service was swell, a tech was scheduled for the following morning, and both stayed in regular communication until Ivan, who was in charge of my job, arrived on site, which was fast btw. Ivan’s photo and contact info were provided upfront, which is reassuring to expats and/or singles. He diagnosed the problem, explained it in nontech terms, and provided a reasonable quote on the spot, and he and his support crew were on the job within half an hour. By the end of the day I had a new hot water heater and reservoir and all-new copper plumbing, plus electric where needed. Without Ivan and his team I wouldn’t be spending the holiday with my kids right now. So, thank you, Ivan, and everyone at JSP. You’ve got a customer for life.

Overall very good experience despite some bumps in the installation process. Installation of central AC including 2 split units. Very responsive and on top of the issue until resolved. Excellent communication with Jackie Trinceri, who coordinated the follow up services. Also, their quality control technician Rick Ronda, was excellent in addressing some installation issues.
Always easy to deal with! Professional and know what they are doing. I’ve used them for plumbing and electrical issues ans the results have always been good. These days it’s hard to get home repair professionals to return your calls, let alone show up. It’s nice to have a reliable company.
We’ve worked with JSP over the last few months across a number of different services. First we had Renee and Steve support us in replacing all of our light fixtures and place outlets upstairs and in our crawl space. Most recently we had Steve and Joel replace our panel. I’ve had them here twice and they haven’t fixed any issues or followed up on them. The staff that came to evaluate the situation were very kind, but left me with no heat/hot water in the dead of winter. I called a friend after a couple of days and he had it fixed the same night.

This company was far above what i expected. They responded to the call within hours. The tech “RJ”was extremely helpful and informative. He was clean thoughtful and thorough from start to finish The price was comparable to other quotes(more due to the Navien price’s).I-wish I had found this company sooner, I HIGHLY recommend this company.I will be using them again.

Jackie, came to my house to provide a quote on a mini-split system for my basement. Although, we did not use because the price was a bit higher than another company. She was very professional and helpful. not using JSP for the mini-split but will change over to them for service of my boiler next year when my current contract expires.

We just moved up to Red Hook and our home needed to have a toilet replaced. We did a lot of research for a quality plumbing company via the Google machine and found JSP Plumbing & Heating. The rating and reviews alone convinced us to call them. From the first call to completion of the job, I must say that the experience was awesome. The customer service was prompt, professional and friendly. They understood our needs and scheduled an appointment that was at our convenience.The technicians, Josh & Joel, arrived exactly on time on the scheduled date and they were great. They did the job efficiently and gave us a detailed explanation of the services. After the installation, Josh inspected our entire plumbing system and pointed out where we had room for some improvements, which we are seriously considering having done.To make a long story short: great company, great people, great work ... will definitely use them again.
We had a “rough” start with some lack of communication but in the end all is good. The whole experience was professionally handled and even though it ended up a little more complicated we were only charged the original quote.

All of the JSP communication was very good. The plumber was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the price was so over the top that I probably won’t use JSP again. The call was to replace two bathroom faucets with new ones of similar design that I provided. I paid $1,038.53. If I hadn’t already waited a week because the original appointment had been rescheduled, needed the work done and had the plumber at my house, I would have canceled the service when I was given the price quote.*** Update: Based on the response below, I did contact the company. I was told that someone would call me back. Unfortunately, they have not done so. Instead, my check was cashed, yesterday.*** Response: I still have not received a call back and I am going away next week so if you are truly reviewing this billing issue, please consider the following:1). Bryan was at my house for 5 hours; but he was not in my house more than 2.5 hours. The rest of the time, he was sitting in his truck.2) Bryan told me upfront that he worked slowly; but, I had never seen a plumber work that slowly. After he hadn’t finished installing the first faucet in almost 1.5 hours of actual hands on time, I asked him if he could pick up the pace. He finished the first faucet right after that and installed the second one in an hour.3) Bryan planned for complications in his upfront estimate; but, there were no major issues. He shortened the rod that adjusted the stopper on the first faucet; but, that isn’t complicated.4) The faucets came with new stopper pipes. Bryan chose to cut the old pipes out, rather than loosen the old fittings. It could have been done either way; but, it was easier to do it his way and reduced the risk of other issues.5) Based on the actual work that he did, the going rate of plumbing services in Ulster County, and the fact that I supplied the faucets and parts, the maximum that I expected to be charged was $300 + sales tax.

I have used JSP Plumbing a few years now. The are all top quality plumbers. I needed good plumbers to correct problems that another plumber created. Damon has been here a few times already and I could not be more satisfied. Not only are they great plumbers but they are always very respectful. They are honest and they give you options on what can be done. Damon has had to use the jet to open a clogged kitchen drain which took him a few hours to do. He takes his time and is not in a rush to get out. He works very neat. He is now coming back to replace my water heater. I would not think of calling someone else. Thanks Damon and all at JSP for being the best. Just an update, Damon came and installed a new electric water heater. He removed the old one and updated some piping he seen that was not originally done right. I really appreciate that he cared enough to do the job right. I never would have known the wrong copper pipes that where there could have burst. Damon did a great job installing it.Thank again JSP Plumbing for taking your time and doing the job right. UPDATE 4/4/18 Damon was here today again for some other work. I cannot say enough about Damon and JSP Plumbing, top quality work. So good to have someone do plumbing work that really knows what they are doing. Thanks again Damon!! UPDATE 5/2/2019, I had Damon come back to the house again today. He also came with Brandon to help assist with the job. As usual he was excellent. Not only is he great at what he does but is very clean and honest. Damon and Brandon had to replace the kitchen drain pipe because it kept clogging due to it originally being pitched the wrong way by the original person who worked on the house. Damon had to replace about 28 feet of PVC pipe . It is now pitched really good. Not only are they good and honest but are so clean you would not know they were even here. Thank you Damon and Brandon for a job well done but also so easy to talk to.

Although quite expensive we hired for sump pump replacement in a basement waterproofing system. Josh was friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy when it came to decision of whether to hire JSP or shop around. We’re confident that we made the right choice , although higher priced than expected. We will be having other items/services completed with JSP.

Had an issue that required an adjustment to the intake/exhaust pipe locations for a newish heating system installed by JSP. The office was very responsive and a technician was scheduled very quickly.Richard Ronda visited, recognized the issue and came up with a great solution. Next day he was back to make the adjustments and actually improved on his previous plan. An excellent, well thought out and executed solution. He also kept me informed along the way and, when done, reviewed the new layout. Much appreciated.Jackie, the in-the-office go-to person, provided great support, advice and communication. This has been true of all my several encounters with her.Hats off to the JSP team!

Installed new faucet and removed a foreign object that went down toilet. Faucet we purchased from another plumbing supplier they were able to install. That was great, THANKS!!!. RJ and Ryan did a great job. Both were good workers as well as listeners. They were fantastic and went above and beyond to meet our needs.
The whole process was super easy and it took a huge weight off our shoulders. Jackie the assessor was extremely informative and timely in letting us know the best situation for our family. We also worked a lot with another Jackie who helped us with a lot of questions and logistics over the phone, her personable nature and diligent communication lead to my further confidence in knowing we had made the right move with the right company. The techs who came to do the install did a fantastic job in 95 degree weather while respecting our space and willingness to answer a number of questions. I’ve already told some friends about JSP for the communication and financing options alone, but seeing everything after it’s been finished further solidifies my trust and loyalty to this company. Thank you JSP, now I won’t become a piece of cooked in my house!

Horrible job tore up the yard. Nocleanup. Been calling nonstop. And they want to send someone then charge a fee again for unfinished job, would not reccomend.
Ryan Bradley and Mikey Ortega performed the replacing of two toilets. Their professionalism was greatly appreciated. Ryan explained the potential impact of changing out our existing toilets, he laid out the options we faced before initiating any work. They both collaborated and worked well as team, the project turned into a bit larger job than expected. At one point they were going to come back, however they finished someday. 4 for 4. Ive used JSP 4 times now and Ive been happy every time. Jared M. came today for service/inspection of my central AC system. He was able to answer almost all of my questions but gave me information on how to get the one question answered.

Its always a pleasure to have the JSP pros in the house. The electrician who did our work, Steve was professional, courteous and flexible. The work is top notch, with real and honest advice about what needs to be fixed. He spotted and let us know about a potentially dangerous wiring issue with our dryer and gave me detailed information on how to alert the provider. He even gave me a lesson on how electricity works, when i asked him to explain something to me. Ten out of ten, very happy with JSP, and very happy with Steve. Thanks Steve!
Our service contractor was knowledgeable and thorough. He completed the task quickly and left the area looking as he found it (minus the leak of course!). He was friendly and understanding of our budget. The small town service is definitely appreciate during these times!
JSP technicians RJ and Taylor were professional and extremely knowledgeable about their findings. They explained things that were clear to understand about duct and furnace systems and how they function.I would highly recommend them if you really want the best for your home and all its needs for and replacing, repairs and services.

2022-03-23I had the most wonderful experience with JSP. They were able to get me into their schedule in a matter of days, and Ryan Bradley who came out to the house was prompt, knowledgable, and incredibly kind. He gave me a great assessment of what was happening with my bathroom sink and water softener, provided me with multiple options and corresponding prices for how we might address the issues, and did meticulous work installing a new softener and faucet. He left the home in spotless condition, and took the time to patiently walk me through how to maintain everything myself. An absolute gentleman and answered every question of mine. Will be using JSP for all of my plumbing needs moving forward!

2022-07-07Joel and Kevin were utterly fantastic! Respectful, informative, punctual, thorough: cant recommend them enough! Ive been dealing with a slew of electrical issues in my new home and I know nothing about electric. Joel and Kevin showed up right on time, were kind and courteous, and explained to me every detail of how to fix the problems clearly. After reaching out to several other electricians and getting no responses, JSP was incredibly helpful and communicative. Joel and Kevin used their time wisely and fixed what they could. Acknowledging that the problem would need a second, more thorough appointment, Joel whipped up two different estimates for me right on the spot, so I could discuss my options with my partner before any work started. Im often quite nervous hiring contractors, as Ive been burned before. But Joel and Kevin were so incredibly diligent that Ill be recommending them to all of my friends! Plus, they were friendly with my pets and were so respectful in making sure they didnt get out of the home! Five stars isnt enough!

2021-12-29From the first phone call to the completion of service, we were totally pleased with JSP Home Services. Everyone involved was prompt, competent, and courteous - not traits you find everywhere today. Our expert service technician, Javier Munoz, was excellent - he knew what to do and how to do it and was efficient and great to work with. The cost was reasonable as well. We will definitely use this company again.

2022-01-25I had a pressure reducer replaced.Taylor was awesome . Was on time friendly, professional and did quality work. My only complaints would be the part was not on the truck and the repair required q second visit and it was $804 to replace a Part hat is $116 at home depot. I would consider using them again based on their service. The service experience was excellent. I would not recommend them based on value.

2021-12-29Rick Ronda was the service person/quality control man to come out and fix the heat in my upstairs bathroom he was FANTASTIC. Not only was he on time but he was very knowledgeable and knew how to fix the problem and did it in a very timely manner. He was friendly and great to talk to he also gave me tips on how to maximize the efficiency in my home when it pertains to heating and cooling. I had JSP install our new HVAC system over the summer and Gus and his installation team were also incredible and fast working. I couldn’t recommend JSP more to anyone looking for heating or cooling systems in their home 10/10 rating from me.

2022-02-08JSP was able to get an appointment for me extremely quickly, which was amazing. Then, Bryan showed up and did an incredible and very thorough job fixing the leak in my bathroom and quoting me on water treatment and a new water heater. Unlike other plumbers who have made me feel uninformed and like I needed to buy a whole bunch of things I didn’t need, Bryan was very helpful in explaining everything and why it was important. Overall I’m so impressed with JSP and Bryan in particular and am so happy I found them!

He explained everything in a clear and understandable manner and was extremely thorough. He serves your good company well.This is my second experience with JSP. 2022-01-17Ryan and JSP saved our weekend. Do to a clog and a backup, we were unable to use house water. We called JSP and they got Ryan over as soon as he was done with his last call. It was an emergency charge well worth it as he fixed the issue and we didnt need to stay in a hotel! He is very knowledgeable, kind, and even taught us a few things.
