So this review is specific for their chicken noodle soup! I am a big fan of Chicken Noodle Soup and this was one of the best and for the most reasonable price in the area! The meat was nice and tender and the portion was just right. Comes with crackers or bread. The soup was $3.50 plus tax and I got an extra bag of crackers for free. Will def be back. Oh the lines get kind of long during lunch but they move fast dont be afraid.
Ive gone to this store and to the deli counter here for 20 years. My office is down the block and Ive been a loyal customer for all of this time. The guy behind the deli counter in the evenings is rude. For the past few months, he has ignored customer when they come to the counter to finish something he is working on, which is understandable. He then moves on to another task while looking at customers and ignore them. If you start to order something, he will always tell me to hold on. Why is he starting something new while ignoring customers is beyond me. I wont go to the deli at this store anymore because of him and him alone. The cashiers and others who work here are friendly and attentive to their customers.
Good overall variety of everyday needs at a slightly higher markup. Meat counter leaves a lot to be desired, but theyve been improving with adding more meats available to grab after the counter closes. Buffet section is not too bad, a little pricey though. Deli could have more options. Usually good selection of flowers. Good quality fruits and veggies.
This grocery store was my favorite! I only go there because they have more options, costs, and the consistency of what their goods have been fantastic. Also, the people working out there were very professional, sweet, and beautiful. They offered what was better for the clients, and that was the thing that I enjoyed the most. Thank you very much for that.
I’ve worked and lived in FiDi for over 20+ years and by far this is the best grocery store in the neighborhood. They’re stocked with a great selection and competitively priced. One thing this store has mastered is their consistently friendly and upbeat cashier team (unlike Whole Foods and City Acres Market) Kudos to you guys.
I love that store ,I wrk on John street ,But I only wrk 3 days a week 😭😭😭ever since COVID-19 started I havent had a week of work yet ,And I had to get the vaccine to work 3 days and that Waz a big aurgement because I couldnt go to work without the vaccine!!! Now I only wrk 3 days a week Go figure!!
Totally overpriced and the checkout people have an attitude if you have too many groceries. Imagine? They are angry for having to bag groceries when its their job and have an attitude when you are spending almost 200.00 for their over priced items. Blueberries that cost 8.99 at other stores are 12.99 here. Yogurt that is 4.99 is 7.99. The milk I purchased the last four times has needed to be thrown out because it expired 11 days before the expiration date. The last bottle was a new bottle and was bad upon opening. Cucumbers are slimy only a couple days after purchasing. Needless to say I will not be shopping here again.
Staff is lovely, bagels are so-so, but they have a pretty aeesome selection of frozen foods, cheeses, and produce. Meat counter always seems closed, but I do get off of work quite late. Love this place and so happy they stay open til 2am. A bit pricey, but hey, its the wall street gang.
Theres nothing gourmet about anything here, and the hot buffet is not very good, but they manage to keep a very large inventory in stock. They always seem to have the brand and type of whatever Im looking for when its out of stock elsewhere. Its also easy to get in and out quickly; they always seem to have enough cashiers.
This is strictly for the unlimited toppings salad bar. They overdress the salad with salad dressing and hardly have any toppings. Also no kale, its just a choice of romaine, spinach and mesclun. I dont think this is worth the price at all.I would go back to grab a snack or grocery but not for the unlimited salad.
I normally order Korean food from Jubilee via UberEats or I walk-in sometimes. Service is usually seamless but today was just HORRENDOUS. I walked in and ordered as I was in the area. They got the orders wrong and the cashier/chef could’ve just informed me vs. making me wait for 30 minutes and ignoring me until I probed. I understand this is not a restaurant but you’re still in the service industry. You need to treat consumers FAIRLY and not just be nice to a certain race. Your employees are RUDE to Asians and Hispanics. Funny how they discriminate their own kind. I am livid.
SHOP HERE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! This is one of those stores with an arbitrary bag search policy and you run the risk of the security guard by the door requesting to search your bag before you leave the store, especially if you dont buy anything! Plus, the prices are exorbitant. Shop elsewhere. There is no excuse to shop here since there are a plethora of other places to shop for better priced items and great food MY FIRST AND LAST TIME HERE!
Nice store; nice staff! Shopping carts are made for people under 5ft 3in, I swear. I can’t even push it because I’m too tall. Products are okay in price - the larger unrefrigerated coconut water is cheaper than at Duane Reede. Some other products are 20-50 cents more expensive though. Plastic bottle refund for the large Poland spring water is impressive! It’s only 5 cents, but I commend their effort! It’s open super early which has been a life saver during our days of jet lag!
New Chef, the food is made fresh and 100% great. Its 8.99 per pound for the buffet table. They also sell pizza or you can create a sandwich. They sell fresh sushi, taco bowls and udon noodles. Theres muffins and cake too😊! You can even do your grocery shopping there as well. Theres fresh veggies and fruits on the other side. This place is great and the service is friendly.
Great place for great fresh made bread, veggies and other smaller stuff, all at fair prices. Meat and fresh fish, is a hit and miss thing as to availability. Basic grocery items are very expensive comparatively. Family owned so they are responsive, open every day all day, so they are there all the time. For more range and even better meat, fish and fresh veggies, and better prepared foods, go a few blocks further to City Acres on Pearl and Cedar.
Horrible service and rude to customers! Would not take a manufacturer coupon for 1$ off!!! Very unaccommodating and overpriced - the item was 4$ more here than other stores and yet still would not honor my manufacturer coupon for just 1$ off AND I have used coupons for other brand here before which I relayed and then the manager accused me of lying ! Unreal!
I think this place is so highly rated for their food bar--I cant attest to that since I havent eaten their hot food, so this review is strictly about them as a grocery store. The selection is just okay, and everything is pretty overpriced. Eggs are almost $3 for a dozen, chicken is like $6.99 a pound and there were flies near the meat section, and a very small bottle of Wesson vegetable oil was $3.29. It isnt bad for a quick stop if you just need to pick up one or two things, but it adds up fast if youre doing a grocery trip. Some veggies, eggs, a pound of chicken, and two bottles of salad dressing totaled almost $50 for me. Youd be better off going to Key Food, which is exactly block away on Fulton Street. Much cheaper, and a broader selection.
I visited Jubilee on John Street on 6/8/20. I went in with my bag on wheels. I walked up the second aisle and back down the first aisle. Decided to go to Key Food instead. As I was leaving, the cashier had the security to check my bag. I have been shopping at Jubilee since they opened and they have seen me many times. I WAS BEYOND HUMILIATED.I was targeted. And the bent over the counter to look in my bag as well. Now that we are protesting against brutality and for equality.....Jubilee is making sure they target certain certain people. Well, I will never shop at Jubilee again. And I will tell everyone about their practices.Although, I have shopped there for years....they have shown me they dont want me or anyone who looks like me in their store. But I live in this area and have just as much money as anyone else. There is Key Food on Fulton Street, Whole Foods on Greenwich Street, Trader Joes on Spring Street and one on Grand Street.JUBILEE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sisters and Brothers spend your money where you are RESPECTED and APPRECIATED.It was your Jubilee employee(cashier) who was hanging over the counter to make sure the security guard hired by Jubilee to check bags. This is not about the time I came in or apologizing because it looks good....its about targeting certain people.Trying to absolve the incident will never change the facts.
Went to the market yesterday where I usually do my shopping living in the area. I was very pleased to be greeted at the register by the cashier an asian man that treated me like a valued customer. Never seen him before but he had a great attitude and was very professional which was very pleasant.
First time customer...and we were very happy with our experience! Really nice selection of foods and very convenient to the financial district where our new grand daughter lives. Whenever we visit again we will surely be customers here. The staff was so helpful and friendly. If our future visits are like todays, then this will be our go to grocery!
Was told not to take my bike inside rudely by a security guard. sorry, but i will not be leaving an expensive bike outside in manhattan. AVOIDto the owner: have you ever considered the fact that bike theft is sky high in the city? Ive had five bikes stolen in just as many years. (all of which were locked properly.) Ill keep shopping at target. (Much lower prices, too!)
Jubilee, through Mercato Delivery, had promised delivery of items to my 90 year old father. Ordered on March 28th, they said it would arrive on April 7th. On April 7th I received an email stating that nothing will be delivered. I fully understand the difficult times we are experiencing but to cancel a complete order without any warning ahead of time is inexcusable and dangerous. Had they alerted me prior I could have tried to buy these items elsewhere. They did not even try to fill my order through another seller. I emailed them a complaint and never heard back. I cannot trust this company and neither should you.
Highway robbery. The pay by the pound is highway robbery. I hardly put any food to avoid paying too much and they charged me more than $13. If I didnt have manners, I would have left the food and walked away. That will be the last pay by pound for me. I usually avoid those gimmicks. Yes, I consider them scams to take all my money.Worse part. The food is not that great. The noodles are rubbery. Not going back.
I am an avid jubilee customer. I am here almost every day — I live in the building and all of my groceries come from this market. I expect a little more respect than what I received tonight. I spend a lot of money here, and tonight I was shoved out of the marketplace at 11:01 PM. JUBILEE has never closed at 11PM. I begged for them to just let me get my mint chocolate chip ice cream, it would’ve been maximum 1 minute 30 seconds but nope. I know where the ice cream aisle is. I will think twice before returning to jubilee. You have put a valued customer in jeopardy.
I used to go to Jubilee for breakfast and lunch. But recently after I had been put to wait while all guys behind be were gone again and again, I stopped going there anymore. I had witnessed a black lady who experienced the same thing like I did. My colleague, a white guy, told me he saw that a black lady was put to wait longer while ppl behind her got her order. I am Asian, female. I guess it is not how simple your order is - it is about your color and gender! There are many other affordable places in the neighborhood - AVOID JUBILEE (at least for breakfast! Salad bar or noddle bar has no issues!) AT ALL COST! DISCRIMINATION RULES AT THE BREAKFAST COUNTER AT JUBILEE!!

2022-03-12This is a great and very busy supermarket. Their buffet food is delicious and their sushi bar is awesome. Good variety of food and drinks. Their sandwiches are awesome. I had the farm and it was worth. This blue velvet cake was delicious also.

2022-05-19Love racist security guards. Literally right after I get out of work I go straight here. I just went to talk to the cashier to pick up my grocery order and he comes directly towards me, stands not even two inches away from me with his mask halfway down his face and stares the entire time while I was waiting for someone to go grab my order. Wish I was able to take a pic of his face. It’s honestly ridiculous but also not surprising. Anyway will definitely be telling people not to shop at this store anymore because wow that was just all unnecessarily racist.

2022-05-30It’s a good super market with the exception of the fish/meat department. Idk what their quality control standards are but I’ve gotten bad fish/chicken one too many times from there. I’ve even seen the prepackaged stuff well past the expiration on the package yet it’s still on the shelf. Other than that, no complaints

2022-06-02Neighborhood has only a limited number of grocery stores and this one is good with selection of items and some specialty goods. Seems to also cater to local breakfast and lunch take out. Clean and well stocked.

2022-03-26Love this place! I have a delicate stomach so fresh is essential for me, (food past its prime makes me ill) the buffet has fresh and top quality, tasty dishes, my default cooked food option when i need to fix a nice meal in a hurry, baked salmon, teriyaki chicken, and great salads and vegees, sushi, steamed pot stickers...the produce, fruits and vegees, are so fresh and juicy, and stay fresh for a few days, papayas and raspberries stay plump and sweet and dont turn soggy and spotted in a day, greens are fresh and flavorful.Full supermarket and great deli open late.Glad i live a block away.

2022-01-23Ive been grocery shopping here with my service dog, golden retriever, almost 2-3 times in a week even though the prices of their basic products are quite high, They were so friendly and the location was so convenient to me. And suddenly one of their staffs came to me and ask me if I have the proof of my service animal. So rude and disrespectful. We spent almost average 200$ every single purchase but I will def never going back.

2022-02-09The store is clean. Most items are higher priced. Be careful if you use the EBT option. Many drinks and other items are not covered here. Also, they have some sort of produce tax.Avoid if you are an EBT shopper!

2022-04-03Love the 🥗, and the wings. The sales workers are pretty nice too. I only had 1 issue is that sometimes they dont be wearing gloves when touching the cakes. Is upsetting.
