While grossly under utilized and worse mismanaged by the Hispanic Federation, its conceipt and significance is invaluable. El Taller Boricua/The Puerto Rican Workshop and Los Plenos de La 21 are what is left of the original cultural design. Its unfortunate and disgraceful for former NYC Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito to have schemed with fellow cohorts the Hispanic Federation, members of the local community board, and the Man In the High Castle to corrupt a selection process put forth by the NYC Economic Development Corporation to illicitly take over the centers management for future real estate development aims.

2021-10-25This place is inside a school, so it has a security guard. The theater is on the second floor near the washrooms. I went to see a great play in Spanish called El Juicio Final. There were many people from latin press.

2021-06-19Best place to share your art and culture. Abundance of artist current and past with contemporary arts , outstanding films and dances full of activities for all, a world of knowledge. We recognize, honor and describe the historical figure in Julia .

2017-09-30Went to a music concert. Great setting. Cozy. Not a premium auditorium, but exceeded all our expectations. Being outsiders and getting in there just by coincidence, we can tell this is absolutely an important and fundamental space dedicated to the preservation of the latino culture in NY.

2019-11-18We held an event at this place, the room was big enough for what we needed it for, we were able to decorate, use our electronics for our presentation - it all worked out well. I would use this place again.

2018-10-23Attended a dance & not only were the people under dressed for the occasion but the sound system did not sound well. They also need to upgrade the AC , too warm.

2017-12-31This location has been a welcome busy hub for servicing those affected by the recent hurricanes. Although I found it further away than I might like, it and the people who work there have been instrumental and open.
