Kabu Bar Lounge in East Elmhurst
Music was okay. But if you want to get a drink at the bar, be ready to wait 2 hours for it. Extremely slow service and on top of that Its cash only. We got frustrated trying to get a drink we just left and went somewhere else. Wasnt really worth it.
This place was not worth it at all. Super expensive and drinks are super small. The music is meh and they don’t even let you dance with masks on. They said we could dance in our table space but they wouldn’t even let us move the table so we can have space. Also, when the bill came I feel like it was outrageously expensive and we feel like we were charged for more things than we actually ordered. Also the security guard was super creepy towards me and my friend and he was also drunk and requesting to ride in our uber with us. All in all, don’t come here, save your money and just go somewhere else.

I have not been here in 5 years. But the renovation looks great. The bartenders, bottle girls still look gorgeous. Drinks are not watered down. Music was acceptable.

Cash only place. During the day it is a restaurant and during the night it is a night club. Inside is nice. It has TVs next in almost each table. The Bolivian food serve there is also delicious. When I ordered the food to go, it took a while... Longer than told, which didnt make me happy. During the night it can be pack during club hours.
The Dj so Mean. I went there because I though it was Bolivian place and then they said that is Colombian and they don’t have Argentinan or Peruvian cumbia. So they said only Colombian music. Pretty bad. I get sad cause I wish to listen at least one music.

$6 for a water. I mean thats just insulting. The place is okay but not that okay. Im a local to Jackson Heights, born and raised.There are tons of places to go to for night life on Northern in this particular area. The disturbing thing about this location in particular. They will nickel and dime you. Anything they can add a charge to trust me they will. Over the years their staff has gotten worse, their service worse and food as you can imagine getting worse.These best part about the place? The bouncer hes been there for ages always smiles and says hi. This star is for him.
Cool place , its a bar and resturant and on weekends you even have a dancing floor and the music is great .The food is good , the drinks a bit overpriced.The service is very good and fast , fit to coupls or groups .I had a good time over there and I recommend for everyone to visit 😁
Great music..they only accept cash. food is not to my taste...not fresh and most items are fried.overall good hang out spot. Oh they now have hookahs but they only have two or three.
Its a nice place but the service was a little rushed because the place had a watch party scheduled a half hour before I came. Still good food.

Was just looking for a place to get drinks before hopping on my flight and was blown away. I logged back into my google+ just for this review. It was pretty dead when I went but the atmosphere and bartenders made it great. Highly recommended!
Is a really nice place you can dance and have a great time with your friends but the drinks is not good I tried different drinks that night and they dont know how to do it
A really bad service I ask for a Botle of water to A blond and skinny girl and tall girl and old. And can really remember who was it and she said “oh ask somebody else of the girls I was out of breath and I really neeed it Yelp for some water and she didn’t care I am still really upset because instead of help me she did not help me at all.

Kabu is a small Latin night club good for drinks and dance the night out only problem is dance floor is small and it gets crowded djs are good but drinks and service are not the best.

If I could I would put less stars 🌟!!! Prices too high for the place !!! for a change they do not accept card !!! And they force you to take out at an ATM... !!! On top of that they charge you 3 dollars at the entrance to leave your coat !!! Ugly atmosphere, there is no variety of music, the same music plays all night! In the end, I do not recommend it! And obviously I will not return 🤨

Total disappointment in this place, 25 min for them to bring 2 empanadas from Salta that never came, they brought us 2 beers in plastic glasses and not cold at all, all the waiters passed in front without asking us anything.I do not return or recommend.
Very good excellent place
They put 70% reggaeton, if you want comfort you should drink liquors in half or bottle to allow chair and table. If you want beer, play at the bar, the bad thing is that after 1 it gets too full and they no longer respect the space you have with a chair at the bar, so there may be fights.

A very comfortable place the super good music bachata.salsa .pop.merengue corridos even dembow ... of all the super friendly waitresses the very tasty food we went for the first time to celebrate birthday, very good prices !!! 2022-07-02This place is a ripoff $10.00 for a cup of seltzer sold by the owner as the staff claimed she was. Hookah $36.00, they also lied about the tables been reserved for bottles only. This place is a joke you better off go to another club near by. Ill not recommend at all.On another page Christian one of the bouncers was very polite and friendly.

It is clear that the staff does not care about their customers at all, and would instead proceed to instigate. Would not recommend coming here, you are better off going to another local club.

2018-04-20Im Bolivian and Kabu has been my go-to place for saltenas for years. Although they seem to be shrinking in size every few months, their saltenas are still the tastiest in the neighborhood.If I were rating only their saltenas, they would still get 5 stars. However, the past few visits have been very discouraging and I cant help but have a sour taste for the establishment in general. Enough to make me never want to return.The staff was very dismissive. It took about 15 minutes to get seated eventhough a few tables were available and all they had to do was clean them. My boyfriend and I ended up just sitting down at a table with trash on it. It then took us about another 15 minutes to get anyone to take our order and the place wasnt very busy! (It was 4pm).We saw folks having drinks so we asked for a rum and coke but the waiter told us it would take a while because the bar is busy and offered no alternative. I had to ask if it was possible to just open two beers for us. He rolled his eyes and went off to grab them.When we finally ordered and got our food, we found the taste completely changed and underwhelming. Given the whole experience, we just wanted to leave as soon as possible! Luckily the check actually came quickly.We thought wed seen the worst but then realized they mainly added a 15% too to the total on the check (see pic).I had forgotten they only take cash so my boyfriend had used their ATM to take out $40 already, estimating a decent tip regardless of the service. But once we saw they were forcing us to leave that tip anyway, we were completely turned off. This method is very forceful and desperate.I am not spending any money at this place again unless Im absolutely forced to get saltenas to go, for my mom.
