Kahlo in other cities:
Love the atmosphere. Service is great. Sadly, food lacks flavor. Or salt. Something. Lots of potential, but overall a bit underwhelming. Drink was nice. Also lacked the jalapeno punch I was expecting. The cut of the lime on the plates is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but hard to squeeze. Also. The table next to me asked for ketchup...🥴 why? Lol.
Disappointed. I made a reservation for 2 via their website. When we arrived they told us they didn’t have a table available and offered for us to sit outside (it was windy and 30 degrees out and they basically had 2 tables in the middle of the sidewalk with no protection or heat). We waited at the bar for a table. The 2 bartenders ignored us despite making eye contact a couple of times. We got a table in 20 minutes. Food was good but portions were incredibly small for the price. Service was fair. We ordered appetizers and drinks. They arrived in good time but then they forgot to come back so we could order dinner. They forgot our second drink order and when we were finally able to get the waiters attention the drinks arrived when we were getting the check. The only thing they had going for them was the atmosphere. It is a really nice looking restaurant. We will not return.
Overall, great value and A++ across the board. Cocktails and food were all delicious, exciting, and memorable. For cocktails, the Fulang Chang and for entree, the Mole de Pollo Campestre - both hit the spot and I’ll definitely order again. The Elote was super well seasoned (the truffle was a nice touch) and a hit with the group. But the star of the night was the service - from the hostess, to the bartender, to the wait staff. Everyone was accommodating and committed to offering a fantastic dining experience - and they did! Ambiance/decor is beautiful, elegant, and edgy without trying too hard or feeling sceney. Kahlo has soul and I can’t wait to return.
This a masterpiece of culinary art!!! My mojito was the pure essence of fun with mint sweet and citrus. This was followed by the lobster coctel which was a melange coconut goodness and creaminess the sweetness of the lobster with delicious pineapple. I’ve never had such a melange of flavors perfectly balance in a stylist painting of yummy. The prawns Diablo were the devil in the citrus and heat! We then had tacos, los cabos and shrimp al pastor. Heat and spicy and sour and citrus all blended so well that it was like paint brush strokes of flavor and texture. This was amazing.
We Celebrated Dia de Muertos and we had a great time, food its delicious, the space its very elegant & the service was amazing!! I recommend it 100%We had live music by Mariachi Real de Mexico and catrina guests from ig:CatrinaproductionsincChef Gonzalo Colin Its one of the most well known and recognized chefs in NY, he always greets the guests and makes you feel at home with his attentions, Definitely Kahlo its one of my favorites!!Thank you!
I am one to rarely leave a review but we were very disappointed .We waited at the bar for a table. bartenders ignored us despite making eye contact a couple of times. We got a table in 30 minutes. Food was good but portions were incredibly small for the price and food was cold. Service was fair. We ordered appetizers and drinks. They arrived in fair time but the hot appetizers were cold then they forgot to come back so we could order dinner. We ordered a second drink never got to the table until the check came.. The only thing they had going for them was the atmosphere. It is a really nice looking restaurant. We will not return , UNLESS THE OWNER CAN PERSUADE US TO MAKING UP FOR THE DINNER AND DRINKS!
Visiting NYC for our son’s 40th Birthday, we met up at Kahlo, a modern Mexican cuisine restaurant for dinner on an evening drizzling on and off. First if you are taking a cab or Uber, make sure they stop at the corner of 29 and 10th Ave. Ours didn’t and lucky for us Bibi at the front check-in walked a block over to find us and guide us in. Lovely entrance with a huge flower wall. We walked to the bar and had cocktails before our table was ready.Once our table was ready Mario V was our server and helped by others. The Manager was also there and was really nice to give us a special toast for the Birthday chocolate cake.We ordered the Guac El Charro, Molotes Trio and Lobster Coctal. All great. Then prawns’ side salas, 2 steaks, queso fresco and the Branzino which was amazing. Also Mole de Pollo and tuna Tostadas.Excellent service and food. We weren’t rushed and when we left, we took some more pictures.A great choice and strongly recommend
Visiting NYC we wanted to eat good Mexican food but also enjoy the experience and this restaurant gave us both, made accommodations for us without a reservation which was great. Sat at the bar where Edward and Ivan were super friendly, made some great food and drink recommendations. The atmosphere was overall amazing and the food was on super tasty as well. Will recommend to everyone.
Really enjoyed my time here, the ambiance is warm and the seats are cozy. It definitely feels like a good date spot. My group(3) got tacos that we thought were a bit over pricy but they were DEFINITELY quality. I think besides the food youre paying for— its the presentation, environment and honestly... thats fine, this place is worth it.
Very good food. We had several different appetizers to start. The lobster cocktail, empanadas and diablo shrimp were very good. The shishito peppers were very good although a couple of the them were surprisingly like fire! The menu was small. I had the pork tacos and a side of green rice that were both delicious. Overall a little pricey but a fun night.
The atmosphere is amazing. Amazing Frida Kahlo pictures to view. The food amazing. The Barbacoa was delicious. The skirt steak was amazing. The drinks are on point. There is none that I wouldn’t recommend. I suggest trying the options of red wine that they have from Mexico. Very good.. Make a reservation!!
This restaurant left me speechless. The best tasting, most inspired, creative and authentic Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted. The cocktails compliment their menu in a way I’ve rarely experienced. Their selections of mezcal and tequila are top notch. I highly recommend you to do the mezcal flight. The wait staff are extremely knowledgeable and can expertly guide you through the menu, answering any questions you throw their way. From the minute you walk in to this place, you’re transported. Whoever they hired to do the interior design did a bang up job. From top to bottom, this place absolutely rocks. First date, anniversary, birthday party, you name it. This is the restaurant to go to.
Exceptional service and staff which really makes it a well rounded & enjoyable experience. The cocktails were balanced and the drink with spiced tamarind was smooth and lovely. Looks like Happy Hour has $10 drink options! The yellow fin tostadas were incredible! I think it’s the salty bits of roe on top that makes for a fiesta in your mouth! Fun ambiance, creative food options, cool vibe including their outdoor garden set up for these crazy times. Will be back!
Truly wonderful dinner and space, our server was extremely attentive and friendly. They had Mexicans wines which I loved that they stayed true to the theme and they were good! The aguachile was so perfectly balanced I drank the whole thing lol. The trio of empanadas are def Mexican style but I liked the different flavors. Lastly the skirt steak and the purée that on the bottom was the icing on the cake. Mind you we still had tres leches which was in fact one of the softest delicate and delicious Tres leches I’ve had. I left here very happy. The only thing is the portions are a bit small so to the men order your own dish, don’t share lol.
As a party of eight we were struggling to find a place in West Chelsea to have a nice dinner, but as soon as we arrived the hostess worked very hard to seat us as soon as possible, and she did. The food, cocktails and service were great, our waiters Isabela and Camilo did everything to make us have one of the best times weve had in NYC. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal and GREAT service.
The experience was great the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great the food was all fresh guacamole was A+ the waitress super friendly I was scared at first thinking that it was expensive but it’s not I recommend this place for the family a get together and a romantic date A+ don’t think about it just come to this place I know you won’t regret it.
This place is definitely overrated. Food is just OK. We tried the Molotes trio as a starter, lamb shank as the main course, and both passion fruit and tres leches as the dessert.Chips and (plain) guac was not bad.For us, the dessert was the best part!!Limited space and tables are arranged very close to each other. On the plus side, they have courteous staff.
You have to walk in with set expectations. It is an upscale Mexican restaurant, not necessarily your weekly go-to when you’re craving some Mexican food after work. The price is high, the portions are small but the quality of the food is good. The ambiance and space is nice. The service was a little spotty for us and needs some work, especially for an upscale place off Hudson Yards. It’s a bit further west if you’re not in the area already. If you’re in the mood for a nice meal with a date or friends to celebrate an occasion, give it a try.
I am one to rarely leave a review but this place forced me to do so. Looks can be deceiving! Beautiful restaurant/decor. Very attentive staff. Lighting in restaurant too dark. Waited over 30 min for our order and they were not even busy. Food arrived looking beautiful. Naturally, fine dining means a pretty presentation of food in a very dimmed lighting. The taste on the other hand was DISGUSTING!!The sauce they use was not even edible. The mini bite size tacos that were extremely overpriced and lacking flavor was not even a meal. The lamb shank was horrendous. No flavor in the meat and payed $45! Total bill $200 and walked out hungry and extremely disappointed. When we told the waitress the food was horrible she replied “OK” . I did not want to create a scene in a FINE DiNING place so payed and walked out . You can eat a mouth full of flavors, a variety of traditional dishes, and get your money’s worth at the food trucks in New York!
I serendipitously stumbled upon this restaurant waiting to see a play across the street. The ambiance was beautiful. The food was delicious; I had the steak. Drinks are on point and as an added bonus, the bartender Christopher was super charming. I will definitely return when I’m in the area.
Very good Mexican food in an attractive restaurant with a cool vibe. Not street or folk Mexican (which is also very good), it’s more like Mexican cuisine. The molé is awesome, and the barbacoa is outrageous. Good drinks too.The service was exceptional. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. It’s proximity to MSG is also a huge plus. We were in the area for a concert, and a lot of midtown places are eh. But this spot really nails it. Highly recommend.
Khalo was really good experience, the food was delicious also the drinks, the service was excellent and the manager was really friendly and helpful with the food recommendations.A nice atmosphere and beautiful place to share time with your couple and friends.Highly recommend
Since my hubby and I discovered Kahlo two months ago it has become our default place to go for celebrations and to take guests from out of town to.The place is designed very elegantly, and enough space between tables to keep it quiet and pleasant. The food is INCREDIBLE, especially everything with sea food in it, and the staff is so friendly and fun.Gonna be visiting many more times to come.
Not only is the food amazing but the staff makes you feel welcome. They made my girlfriend’s birthday perfect in this beautiful modern take on a Mexican restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone as it is a Mexican owned and ran establishment that shows how great this community shines. Every dish was made with attention to detail and flavor. Every drink was expertly crafted to compliment your food. If you have a moment you must go to Kahlo and enjoy the atmosphere.
Awesome place just a few steps away from The Vessel. The decor is classy, spacious, fresh and inviting. The food is delish, tapas style, so portions are relatively on the smaller side, but fulfilling enough.I had the guacamole with mango, and the lamb tacos. Both amazing, smooth, rich flavors. I also had the Fresa cocktail, the perfect touch of fermentation! For dessert I had flan and chocolate mousse. Also really good, specially the mouse, the flann was a little bland, but paired with a Rosè, had the right touch of sweet!Service was also friendly, patient and quick!
As a lover of Mexican cuisine and GOOD margaritas, I was eager to venture out of my neighborhood to try Kahlo on W. 29th St. And Im glad I did! Named for artist Frida Kahlo, this small but cheerful space is decorated with Kahlo-like colors and designs. The food was extraordinarily delicious. Ive had hundreds of bowls of guacamole over the years, but the guac here was by far the best Ive ever had--along with house-made, still-warm tortilla chips. The drinks were also delicious, original, beautifully served, but tiny for the price. My companion and I indulged in a variety of appetizers rather than a main course. That way, we were able to enjoy a variety of flavors, presentations, and styles.Apart from the tiny (though fabulous) drinks, everything was well worth it.
3 of us from Texas flew into NYC for work and did not know of any restaurants in the area. We happened to stumble upon Kahlo. Best decision ever!! They took such great care of us! The most friendly staff in NYC. Our food was delicious as well. We got a few appetizers and got the shrimp tacos, steak, chicken mole! Sooo yummy. They even treated us to shots when they found out we were from out of town. I will absolutely go back and tell everyone whos going to NYC to come out to Kahlo.
Kind of nice decor. It’s a bit of a ripoff for Mexican food in the middle of nowhere, oh yeah Hudson Yards opened nearby recently but sorry don’t set your prices like you’re paying rent in the mall. Guacamole was tasty but like 3 tablespoons for $16? Also no margaritas on the menu, weird. And $17 for basic cocktails. Everything on the menu was about double what you should expect to pay for it.
First let me just say how much I love this restaurant any night of the week…my husband and I love it so much that we decided to have our wedding dinner there, probably the first night we dined there, which was their first public opening night. So after delaying our wedding due to COVID for a whole year, and having Hurricane Henri looming, Paula and Francisco graciously offered their restaurant as not just our venue, but as our ceremony location too. (We were supposed to get married in the park.) It couldn’t have been more beautiful, and meaningful. The dinner was amazing, the staff is both professional and warm, and I hope they remain a Chelsea staple for many years to come.
Food was very good - they say modern Mexican so don’t expect mainstays like enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. Ambience was decent - dimly lit space and well decorated. But the service was a mess - not rude, just seemed unprepared, slow response even when there weren’t too many diners there. I hope they get a handle on it (I know it’s hard given the Great Resignation) as I’d like to visit again.
I went with my best friend to Kahlo and I we had the best time. Great ambiance, the food was amazing, my favorite was the Vuelve a la vida and the bartender also did a great job with the drinks. The manager was very welcoming and made great food recommendations, overall a great experience, we will definitely come back.
This review is so long overdue! I came here on Halloween for my 25th birthday with a group of 13The restaurant luckily wasnt too busy so the service was top notch - there wasnt a second where we felt any sort of way about it. Before going there, I was nervous about the food cause I dont know anyone thats ever been there yet the vibe seemed cool. Every single dish we ordered was amazing. I think this was the first time in a group setting that we went out and no one complained about the food or service. Huge win in my books! Some highlights:EL CHARRO guac - so goodKAHLO & RIVERA guac - yummyVUELVE A LA VIDA, DIABLO PRAWNS, TUNA TOSTADAS, and Elotes - really goodTRÍO MOLOTES - was okArracherra steak was absolutely delicious (had the dinner one since we were there for a bit)the drinks are a bit pricey at $18+ a pop, so when going with a large group, make sure they know that! The bill came to about $1800.. with only $400-500 of it being food... the rest being drink (then tax and tip).Coming back here for a date night, so will be able to write more about the food then! Thank you Kahlo and Team!
Honestly, I was disappointed. I saw that it was an upscale Mexican restaurant but when we went, I took my fiancee for a special bday dinner. But honestly, the food was Soo not what I expected. It lacked a lot of flavor, and the rest of my table said the same thing. Ive tried more affordable Mexican places that tastes better. But i guess everyone has different tastes. Their DRINKS are nice though, Ill give them that
One of our favorite restaurants for a while now. Was very happy to see that the pandemic hasnt altered the food or service. Everything on the menu is very fresh and Oaxaca inspired. Very good for seafood. Its better to go in person with friends, or on a date night. We were sad to find the food a bit less picante than before... hope theyre not pandering to the new residents in the area.
Just was there this weekend with my family, had my daughter with me who is a toddler. Felt discriminated against. I was asking if they had any juices other than alcohol or any sides available i can get for my daughter. Just got the answer no the menu is the menu. Very rude and also never got an answer on drinks i had to go to the bar myself and ask. I wasn’t tended to well it felt rushed. Maybe if we were white it would’ve been different. Even one of the staff didn’t ask to move my daughters i pad to make space on the table he just insisted on touching it before asking.money i spent was not worth the service i received.
Khalo is a beautifully designed restaurant that makes you feel like you have been transported to Mexico City.We came for an early dinner before heading to the Mckittrick hotel to see The Woman in Black which was excellent!!!The service was spot on and very attentive. The music set the perfect upbeat tone to create a lively Friday evening vibe.We have the spicy margarita which was the perfect balance of spice and tart. For our meal we started with the tuna tostados and empanadas. Followed by the branzino and steak. All was cooked perfectly booming with flavors. If you are looking for an upscale restaurant with a sexy vibe and authentic elevated Mexican cuisine than Kahlo is your spot.
To be fair the food was flavorful but wait staff is lacking. Expensive for what they are serving and food came out well undercooked. When challenged about it they took it back recooked the same piece of meat and brought it back out on the same plate. Poor presentation and rebound on a complaint in my book. Drinks are way overpriced for what they offer. $9 modelo beers and $18 for a simple rum and Coke. Would not return.
I was given the opportunity to have dinner at Kahlo a few days ago. EVERYTHING WAS JUST SUPERB! Perfectly splendid! My waiter was very knowledgeable about their menu. He recommended a fish meal and it was just delicious! I cannot remember all the names of what I ordered, but everything was just nicely prepared and yummy! 😊 I finished everything, from salad to appetizer to main meal😊.If you are looking for a friendly, professional, and to suit todays environment, a health safety atmosphere, to enjoy a mouthwatering meal, look no further, Kahlo is the please to be!
Great and friendly service overall. Restaurant is definitely a scene, pretty interior and exterior decor. Cocktails are tasty (though pricey for $19). My feedback is they need to better train their staff when delivering food and how to manage larger parties (we had 17ppl). The waiters caused 2 accidents during our dinner. 1. They spilled sauce on the bday boy’s white shirt when the food came 2. They knocked down a full drink on the table spilling it to the other side causing a splash on 2 ppl. They did apologize profusely but no other concessions were made. Ordering was a bit messy cause they had 2 diff waiters come to our table to take drinks and food orders right after another, which confused us when a 2nd person came to ask us for our drink order when we moments earlier we already put it in. Lastly, the food is overpriced for what you get and the taste. 3 smaller than usual tacos for $18. I think your time and money may be better spent elsewhere.
I cannot express how much I love this restaurant, from the food to the staff everyone is amazing, the place is very well kept. This is my husbands and Is official date night restaurant. The manager Martha is super involved and attentive and really nice, makes you feel at home and really remembers you 😁😁 The food does not disappoint, everything is delicious, I always ask for the chefs special and MY GOD its good. Their combination of seafood and fruit is amazing. And to top it all off GET THE TRÉS LECHES !!! Just get it, trust me and tell me how you feel afterwards 😋😋Also a big shout out to our official waiter Francisco, he is super great and helpful.
9/10 on decor, ambiance and service. 8/10 cocktails. The Frida margarita was great and refreshing. They also had a mock tail list for people not drinking, which was considerate. 7/10, prices and food (shared guacamole, chicken mole and shrimp al pastor tacos). All dishes were good but nothing extraordinary, hence why I thought it was a bit overpriced. Theyre using Covid protocols as the reason why they wont serve you tap water and make you buy a $6 bottled water (never, ever have I heard Covid being an issue related to tap water), hence the total rating as just good.
Outstanding! This is a real gem! Fantastic food, fantastic cocktails fantastic mocktails! The food are modern and somewhat lighter renditions of classic Mexican recipes - I would recommend to try 3-4 starters instead of a larger main dish. I also love the atmosphere and design - its modern chic with many, many very classic Mexican design elements - for example beautiful porcelain plates holding the textile fabric. Everything is very upscale without being stuffy. Service is similar attentive and classy but friendly and warm. I will definitely come back.
Checked this spot out using a voucher from the app, Pulsd. It was $49 for a 3 course dinner for two with drinks. The deal includes one of their guacamoles, a botanita, a plato or taco dish and 2 cocktails, wine or beer. We each got their signature Frida cocktail with St. Germain that was really good. We ordered the kahlo & rivera guacamole with mango relish, black garlic and ancho chile. We ordered the maine lobster botanita with coconut, mango and pineapple relish and a crispy lotus chips. For our entree, we order mole de pollo campestre, the mole chicken with epazote poblano rice. We checked in through Yelp and got free tequila shots too which served as our dessert. Everything was really flavorful and delicious. I would definitely go back here.
Last night was the first time we have dinner @ Khalo and it was delicious. Our server was full of personality plus attentive and knowledgeable. The environment and food was fenomenal. I will recommend that if you are around and you are in the mood for fine Mexican food this is the place to go..
Ughhh I can’t even begin to describe how good my experience was! The drinks were delicious, food was amazing (especially the elotes and shrimp tacos!) and the service was exceptional (our waiter was Rafael, who was fantastic, but every single employee was so nice!) Make sure you also treat yourself to the tres leches even if it’s not your birthday because OMG, it’s the best tres leches I’ve ever had in my life! Beautiful decor as well. Can’t wait to go back 😋😋😋
What a rip off. Trying to support local restaurants so I ordered a delivery of the pork tacos. $18. With tax, fees and a generous tip for the pandemic delivery guy, my bill came to $30. What I got were 3 bite sized tacos more akin to an appetizer than a meal. Never again.
If you want elevated upscale Mexican food, this is the place. The drink list was exceptional and the food exquisite. Really awesome ambiance with super friendly staff. Got our food quick but as usual took our time without being rushed out.Would go again if I were ever back in Chelsea!
Pricey (its NY :/ ) upscale Mexican food. I got the elotes which tasted great, but theyre $18 for two halves of corn and only one stick through the cob so you still have to use your other hand to grab the other end and get mayo all over you. They could probably put another stick through for easier handling. Atmosphere is great, but dimly lit (hard to read menus) and noisy (brick walls all over, busy Friday night). Shrimp tacos were excellently prepared! The chicken dish was moist and tender, but could use a little more mole sauce on the plate.
I looooove this place! Celebrated both my wedding anniversary and my birthday here with friends and family.Service: Excellent!Food: Everything is delicious! Seriously...order the lobster appetizer and tacos!Drinks: Strong and worth the midtown pricetag. Mostly tequila or mezcal cocktails but they can make anything!Cost: Comparable to all the other restaurants in that area but in my opinion better since everything is delicious.Atmosphere: Frida Kahlo inspired these but elegant design and beautifully detailed. Plus, I love Frida Kahlo!Marta is so sweet and accommodating. She is the best especially if you are celebrating something special. Everyone had a great time.. especially me.
This place is amazing. Decor, staff, and food exceptional. All super fresh farm to table ingredients. Extremely keto friendly dishes, almost as though designed that way. Everything from guacamole with chicharrone to ahi tuna bowl (Mexican-Asian fusion), lobster ceviche, to the skirt stake...great cocktails. So good.
The food is amazing but pricey for the portions. There are no real options for kids. I was a bit surprised that the “Kahlo” decor is lacking. There are just a few pieces with her photos placed in various dark corners... there isn’t much there to appreciate and celebrate the iconic artist. I would suggest they made more of her picture, art prints and maybe some representation of her style in jewelry or clothing more prominent and visible throughout. Other than that the service was good.
This restaurant was just okay. The guacamole was good, but for some reason they dont bring enough chips for the dip. The shrimp tacos were so salty that they were basically inedible. The branzino fish tacos were deep fried and beer battered and those werent very good, but at least they were edible. The pork tacos and tuna tostadas were good.
As someone who lived in Mexico City for years, Kahlo was a great find. The brunch menu was wonderful with a huitalocoche omelette that did not skimp on the corn truffles or requeson. The lobster, shrimp, and tuna tostada was decadent. Great service and atmosphere, will definitely come back.
I really was hoping to like this place, because we can absolutely use some new restaurants in the neighborhood... but it was just bad. all of it. we ordered six different items and didn’t like anything. it’s not mexican food, it’s not texmex, i’m not sure what it is. too bad - this place won’t last.
Awesome service, decor and amazing food. My favorites: Yellow Fin Seared Tuna - Tostadas (sensational combination of tastes), Al Pastor Tacos - Shrimp tacos w/ pineapple and must have guacamole + topped with a tropical pineapple salsa like deliciousness and pulled pork tacos. Looks small at 1st but more than you realize. Pty size 3+, order 2. Shishito peppers usually a no brainer however not my favorite bc w/ their other dishes are so amazing, unless your ordering multi-sides/ starters.
Amazing amazing amazing super cute and cozy and gorgeous environment decorations are spot on the bathroom really nice host was very lovely the manager Fernando was super sweet came by everyone table to greet us and make sure were comfortable and enjoying everything the wait staff was superb and the food is phenomenal !!! The drinks are incredible great spot for a date a pregame meal drinks happy hour night cap evening starter great for everything !Definitely coming back and bringing more friends and family thank you for being an awesome authentic restaurant !!!
I have gone to many Mexican restaurant, unfortunately this not one of the best place. They do have some individual plates that are good in flavor. Atmosphere and vibe is nice, but overall this restaurant was disappointing. The food is overpriced for miniature portion.
This place too chichi for its own good. The portions are small and overpriced. The waiters are like used car sales ppl, suggesting that you buy and drink more than you are inclined to do at every turn: ‘ For a party of 5, I suggest ordering another guacamole,’ says the waiter who then brings out a paltry amount of guac and chips. At 7 o’clock the music started blaring. It was hard to communicate with anyone in my party. The bill came, some sticker shock ensued, and we scrambled out as fast as we could.

2022-03-30It was our first time in Kahlo and we really liked it. It is also very close to The McKittrick Hotel so it was very practical to dine here first and walk to the venue.Decor and tableware were really cool.I had guacamole & chip and empanadas, my boyfriend had lamb shank and all were delicious.Overall, it was good service, delicious food and cool ambiance. A bit noisy though if you are looking for a quieter evening.

2022-02-18A beautiful restaurant, designed for romantic lunches or dinners. The service was excellent, timely and personable. The hostess did a lovely job of welcoming guests and looking after them. Starters were delicious and so were the mains - gorgeous concoction of spices, aromas and flavours of food, beautifully presented. High marks for the whole experience, look forward to returning there.

2022-07-12Very cool vibe! The food is alright and a bit overpriced, but still good. Nice presentation though! The tacos were well made and tasted good. The tostadas was the nicest plated and wanted more of them! I got the Arroz del Jardin and it was nice, but definitely could have used more veggies! Not that filling either so if you want something more substantial, Id opt for the tacos.

2022-07-09My expectations of the restaurant started off pretty high. The guacamole and chips were on point and tasted great. I liked the charred topping as it made the guacamole unique. And the chips were seasoned which was a nice surprise. We also got the Berros salad and the dressing was very refreshing and was above our expectations. The black truffle esquites was disappointing. I didnt even taste any truffle in it. After that, the food started to become a bit disappointing. The empanada crust was too thick and the filling was very under seasoned and felt a bit undercooked. The plant based tacos were also very under seasoned and didnt meet expectations.I will say the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. Theyve spent a lot of time and effort making it trendy. The seats are comfortable and the colors in the restaurant are very welcoming. The staff was also very nice and friendly.

2021-12-13Had a wonderful dinning experience! The food was all great. So was the staff. There was a bit of a misunderstanding and they were extremely apologetic and comped some shots 🥂 is nice to see that they care about their clients. As is mind bottling the amount of “high end” establishments where patrons are treated as if they are doing you a favor.

2022-04-04This spot very charming, pleasing to the eye, good service. The music is a little too loud which forces to yell otherwise the person in front of you can’t hear you much. I tried small bites and the Tuna asada was exceptional, a little grilled on the outside and raw inside, tacos were really flavorful but I bit dry.

2022-02-12I would have given a three if the food and drink werent great! The host wasnt the friendliest, and we had to wait to place orders and for water and stuff. The rest of the staff, though, was fine. Guac was amazing, drinks were refreshing, and the food felt fresh. Staff can do a bit better, maybe next time :)

2022-07-01Food was nice, it was a reconciliation for me with the Mexican food. The outdoor space is nice but unfortunately very uncomfortable with the noisy trucks passing through all the time. Hopefully NYC put some speed regulation to make this outdoor dining options more enjoyable

2021-11-24I really likes everything about this restaurant. The place was so nicely decorated the ambiance was great and the food was amazing. I think this is a perfect date spot. The quality of the food was great and wasn’t too pricey compared to the portions you’d get.
