We had a great dinner here! Everything was so yummy and recieved hot and without a wait.Our waitress was wonderful. She was kind patient and informative. She never left us without hot coffee refills.Place was clean and the bathroom was also.Go here for any meal and you will not be disappointed.Went back again!Delish and very cozy. We got there at a good time, it wasnt busy. After being there 15 minutes there was a wait time! But they didnt wait long.My only small complaint was, we were quiet and talking and a family with little kids, were put immediately behind us, before the rush came in. They were bouncing on the seat and were very loud. I just wish they were put across the room where no one was, at the time.It is a wonderful family restaurant, really you wont be disappointed.Food was so good....as usual!

It was my first time here.. Great place for dinner. Got the fried chicken dinner. Came with all the compliments to dinner that one could want. Everything was great including the price and the service. Cant wait to return.
2 stars is the max I can give. The waiter was very good, but the place is not inviting or clean. 95% of my meal consisted of a bag of lettuce. The tzaziki was good. This is not a Greek restaurant. I don’t know why the travel guide recommended it. Too expensive also.
Super clean, very friendly host (very sweet girl) hot, made right breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal outing. So happy Lockport has this gem. My spouse had Greek omelet, I stuck to my two eggs, over medium with rye. Home fries were tasty, bacon was thick and not burnt. Server was very attentive, we didnt have to visually stalk the premasis, she seemed to show when we wanted her. Overall a great time.

This was kind of a spur of the moment kind of meal but it was amazing. We were debating on breakfast but after seeing the reviews, I knew I wanted to try this place. I would agree that this is a family restaurant with the amazing choices of Mediterranean food on the menu. I went a little outside my comfort zone and I got something that was a super platter and it did not disappoint. I had 3 different meats to choose from (steak, chicken, and gyro meat) along with eggs over easy, a slew of potatoes, and 4 pieces of toast. I enjoyed every bite and tore it up. The wait staff was very friendly and the restaurant had a bustling but quiet atmosphere. It was a great experience.
This place a great place for fine family dining ignore all the negative reviews because they are either lying or they are just straight up KARENS. Kalamata has amazing food and an amazing atmosphere I will definitely be coming back

If you are looking for comfort diner food this is your place! Kalamatas has a great menu with a lot of great options including breakfast. Ive been going here for years and Im never disappointed one of my favorites is their beef soups its always a must for me.

Food is usually pretty good here. I tried the chicken wrap. Found it not to my liking but I just about always like the food there. If you like Greek then I suggest the fish fry. Bursting with Greek avors.
We have been eating here for years and have enjoyed every experience until today. How can you seat someone with a pet dog, not a service dog ,and allow the dog to eat with them. Disgusting. Please stop this policy, I dont care to eat or breath dog hair. Others around me felt the same. Thank you. I do not consider an emotional support dog as a service dog necessary to eat out. Plain simple, dogs not needed to eat out should stay out. You lost many customers today. Patrons all around were not happy. A lapdog is not a service dog.
Chicken lemon rice soup is delicious! BLTs are well made. Everything weve ever had has been very delicious! Very tasty and full of flavor. 👍

Very friendly folks, directed us to a table quickly. Dropped off menus and left. We were waiting to give our orders for a bit. Once orders taken we waited for our meals to come out for quite a awhile. Once out, food was terrific. It seemed to me that they werent operating at full strength. Even with the wait, we loved this diner! A hidden gem in Lockport. They had an extensive menu, a decent dining room and friendly folks.
Have never had a bad meal here. Every dish is food, and you can get breakfast all day.Their pancakes are particularly delicious, and they have the best potato pancakes around!
Edited to add my most recent experience:Met a friend for lunch, she chose to meet here (not my choice). Food was edible, but not very good. Server was nice, fast, pleasant, & accurate. The ambiance here is definitely not for me. Next time someone requests to meet here, Ill unfortunately have to suggest another place. I felt like money was wasted here both times- not worth it. In my opinion, everyone deserves a second shot, not a third.Food was good. Workers in the kitchen were not wearing gloves or hair nets, they all had atrocious beards. That was a big turn-off. You can only see the back of the house when the door swings open. There is no window to see your food being cooked like most other restaurants. We arrived about 10:50am, we were seated around 11:10am, our food arrived around 11:40am. We ordered three breakfasts and one lunch. Wait time was a bit long (for a table, and food). They wont let four people sit in a booth thats in a corner because they are reserved for 5 or more. Be prepared to wait. Staff is usually not friendly, today we had an alright experience with the waitstaff.
Good food, good prices and service. Ordered kids cheeseburgers, fried chicken baskets, a breakfast, and chicken souvlaki salad. All was delicious
When arriving, the waitress seats the customers. There were open tables but needed to wait on one of the several waitresses to clean a table before sitting. Supervision was missing on this visit. Bring your reading glasses to keep the menu friendly to read. Ordered soup & sandwich, the tuna salad arrived dry, bread was slightly stiff. Garnish was a quarter pickle cut length wise. (No chips) Soup, split pea came in a cup, server brought it over while splashing the soup over the cups side. (Extra napkins were ordered to handle the extra questions.) Water arrived with a white speck of coleslaw on the inside brim. Waitress was friendly, and cheerfully brought a replacement. The food was competitively priced with the Dennys restaurant across the street. If your hungry, Kalamatas will take edge off but preferences for something more will leave you disappointed.
Nice little Greek diner hidden in Lockport. Make this a stop if you can! Great service and tasty meals.

Great selection of food. Dining area is very clean. Staff is friendly. Waitress did a great job and checked in appropriately. Burgers were good size and well cooked. Breakfast was good size and delicious. Fish fry was large and delicious as well. Not costly compared to the portion size. Our family enjoyed the dine in experience. We will be back again.

Basic local diner. Excellent food; have had two meals with two diners. Worth visiting. Very pleased.Update April 2022:. Still very good. The last time we were in town, they had limited hours. Basically, they are fully back. Quick, pleasant service. Menu has a great variety of food dishes.

This is the worst restaurant I ever been to. They had alot flys in the place.my family and I waited an hour to get our food we didnt even order that much, our waiters were very rude one of my family members got the wrong thing and the waiter had an attitude about it. I do not recommend this restaurant. this restaurant needs zero Stars.

Excellent restaurant! The place was full when we got there which is my sign that the food is good. Waited about 5 minutes for a table. Ordered a spinach, tomato and feta omelet with caramelized onions, crispy home fries and rye toast. The place delivered!! It was fantastic! Lots of fresh veggies and feta cheese and the eggs were perfection! Could only eat half! For two people to have meals and coffee, the bill was $22. A steal and worth return trips!!
It more America food than Greek. Very little options on Greek dishes. And the few options were not the best in taste or appearance. It good for America Breakfast type of place.

Ordered over $70 worth of takeout and had a salad missing along with ALL of the pita bread to the dinners ordered. When I called they offered the PITA and a free dessert...I live 15 min away.....horrible food. Steak was cold and raw, the Greek potatoes tasted like they soaked in vinegar for days. I will never go there again!
Great breakfast and atmosphere is comfortable. Waitress and greet staff were really nice and attentive. Food was excellent. Had the eggs benedict with some minor changes which they happily accommodated. Hubby had a slime dog and fried bologna which he said hit the spot! Fried bologna is his favorite that he cant get at very many places anymore. Pancakes are big and fluffy. Overall delicious meal. Looking forward to going back for dinner.

The food and the service were both excellent! My husband and I went to start our night out. We ordered a Greek sampler to share the we a fish fry. I normally refuse to eat fish, I just cant stand the smell. The fish was very mild in both flavor and smell, as well as very moist. The platter was amazing! Except for the spanokapita (I think that right), I dont like jambalaya olives though, my husband loved it. I really would recommend eating here. It wasnt my first visit and it definitely wont be my last.

Its been a while since we visited as we moved away from the area. Food was just as great as we remembered! Service was absolutely amazing and all the staff we encountered were so pleasent. Our food arrived quickly and HOT! Definitely try their homemade Italian bread!! Its SO yummy 😋

Went there for lunch this afternoon. It was very busy but they had 6 waitresses so we figured wed be able to get in and out before our lunch hour was up.... Boy were we wrong. Sat there for 45 minutes. Only saw the waitress twice. Never got a refill. We ended up having to get our lunch to go in order to make it back in time and we still ended up waiting. I ordered a basic turkey sub and my friend ordered a basic chicken salad. The food was great! But I had to eat it at my desk while I worked. And once we finally got fed up and brought up to one of the waitresses how long we have been waiting, she gave us a huge attitude because she didnt know where we were sitting. This was my first time here and I thought itd be great since everything Ive heard about you guys is great. I was sadly, disappointed. Im not sure I will return. Also, the french fries are cheap crinkly fries from a bag, how cheap.
A gem of a restaurant. The food is always great and the service amazing. This time had takeout. The fish fry, coconut shrimp and shrimp basket were tasty and ready and ready when promised. The desserts are not to be missed.
Amazing food good portions relatively cheap - I have yet to have something there that I didnt like.Also for those with dietary issues/restrictions - they are incredible with ensuring safety for you! I am gluten and dairy free and they are extremely accommodating

Food was just ok. My husbands beef sylvoki was extremely over cooked... definately not medium well like he ordered. Portions ok but not enough to bring home leftovers. The pie was obviously a couple days old. The whipped cream topping and refrigerated pie were separating and squished down from sitting for a couple of days wrapped in saran wrap.Waitress was distracted, rushed, inattentive and kept forgetting to bring us additional napkins, silverware, salt & pepper, etc.Wont be going back.
Absolutely love this place, from the food, which is delicious!! The service is excellent, they are always very friendly and happy, the restaurant is small but nice, the food is priced right, especially for the size if the heplings you get. You definitely wont leave hungry!!!!!!
Always fast and fabulous food. Very reasonably priced and specials are always available. Sometimes a little crowded but tables seem to open up without a long wait. The servers are always very attentive and make sure everything is correct with your orders.

First bad experience here. Hopefully it was just n new cook or something. Prime rib sandwich was 50% fat and looked more like a ground sirloin and my moms pt roast dinner looked like well done prime rib, but very fatty. Service still fantastic!
I come here very often at least twice a week with my dad and grandma and I always get the chicken souvlaki wrap or the open chicken WHICH IS THE BEST AROUND! So good. The reason I dont give this place 5 stars is the service Ive gotten in the past week! I came once around noon and an older waitress with Short black hair took our order and I never saw her again. It was really slow, a small skinny, red hair maybe? She did everything for us but take our order! She was awesome but I cant say the same thing about the other one..
Update! We went to try out the new burger joint but they had a line out the door so we decided to give them another try and so glad we did! Awesome service, wish I paid attention to our servers name! My gyro rap was awesome and didnt have to ask for the tzatziki! The old man had the lunch special(goulash) it came with garlic toast and was very good! Glad we gave them another try, we will be back!
Ordered $70 of food, came home!! Had no pita bread at all for two dinners ,no salad for another order, will never go there again. Payed $70 for salads, and noodles because meatballs were really tiny ....

Me and my husband go to this restaurant all the time. One of my absolute favorite Greek restaurants. Not only is the staff absolutely amazing the food is delicious!! The souvlaki is by far one of the best I’ve eaten, and the dressing!!!!! Thank you for always being so wonderful to us on our date night 😊

I would highly recommend Kalamatas! My wife and I both ordered the prime rib dinner, which was cooked perfectly. Service was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Dinner service was quite speedy with a very acceptable amount of time between appetizer and main course. As tourists we look forward to making Kalamatas a regular dining experience. This place has excellent food. A friendly family atmosphere. Warm and caring staff. And the biggest thing is affordable. You can take the entire family, have a date night and not break the bank. And you can come as you are (well as long as your dressed lol)
MY husband and I went to breakfast on July 3. I had the spinach tomato and feta omelette. The spinach tasted funny. The omelette was over cooked and the potatoes were cold and tasted old. My husband had the bleu cheese and bacon egg Benedict. He didnt like the spinach either. We both ended up with an upset stomach. The last time we ate there was good. It is hit or miss. We will not go back. Its unfortunate that you pay for food and it makes you sick.

I shouldve asked her name but I think on the check it said her last name was Little? Anyway, she was tiny blonde. All the staff was friendly and worked together with smiles. In town for business and staying down the road at a hotel. The front desk recommended this place.My wife and I came for dinner I believe it was Monday night and sat on the patio. When we asked to sit out there all the waitresses seemed annoyed but it’s your job? If you don’t want to serve the patio don’t have one?Our server didn’t seem bothered by waiting on us..was very young blond maybe 18? who was all smiles suggested the Greek chicken soulvaki which was delicious. She was very attentive even though she was clearly busy.The next morning on our way out of town my wife and I stopped for breakfast. I can’t say the same about our service this time..mid 50s with brown/Black hair. WASNT busy but yet she acted like waiting on us was inconveniencing her? All she did was take our order and drop off our food didn’t see her again? I’m sorry but I don’t believe my wife even left a tip.Food was great I say 4 stars1 star gained for dinner server1 star taken away for breakfast server.Next time we are in town we will be back.. for dinner.

Second time here. First time was awesome service and food. This time not so much..Big rant:When I walked in I was sat by a nice taller blonde. She dropped off menus and ran back to the door. A smaller blonde asked our drinks and brought them back to us. My grandma asked her every question about the menu she had a lot of patience and was very nice. She left us to decided what we wanted to order. When she passed us 5 minutes later I asked her if she was going to take our order but she said our server would be right over. Our server took forever to take our order to the point I had the little blonde go tell her we were ready. When our waitress FINALLY arrived she was not nice! She was tall and very skinny with brown hair. When my grandma asked her questions she didnt answer us like the little blonde did she was very impatient and acted like we were taking up her time.So I ordered a patty melt with soup-I never got my soupMy grandma ordered meatloaf with a dinner salad-never got a salad- and the potatos were cold.Our server only came back once- said how is everything I said well mine is good but..and my grandma went to speak up about her potatos and she was already gone!!So the tall blonde and little blonde look like they are having fun it makes me want to apply for a job and join them! Lolso I told the taller blonde about my grandmas potatos and she grabbed the smaller blonde- not sure where our waitress is? Small blonde took it back and had it warmed up for us was very apologetic and gave us our soup and salad to go for us, got our refills and boxes. When we asked for the check she said Ill get your waitress its hard to believe small blonde wasnt our waitress. Our waitress comes from the back looking miserable and hands us the receipt with a fake smile and walks away. No thank you no nothing. It wasnt even busy!!So when I went to pay I thanked both blondes and tried handing the tip to the smaller blonde to keep it and she said oh Ill put it in her cup thank you I told her NO its for you, you did great she thanked us and when I turned around I watched her put it our servers cup anyway!! I mean I guess its very honest of her but really made me mad cause she did not deserve that tip. I will be back but I will move tables if the tall brunette Is our waitress again.

First time that I’ve eaten at this restaurant. Can honestly say I will never go back. There were flies all over the place landing on me while I was eating my dinner. I got the fried shrimp dinner and the shrimp was extremely overcooked and hard as a rock. The macaroni beef soup was way too thick and couldn’t even eat it. About the only thing that I had that was good was a baked potato. May have just been a bad night because I see there’s a lot of positive reviews. But I definitely don’t have a positive review for this restaurant.
I order for take out one of two things, Swiss Mushroom Cheeseburger, or a Chicken Soulvaki salad. Both are delicious! I see complaints on here about the wait times. Ive never dined in, but when I go to pick up my food they are always packed. The food is great.

Had this tiny blonde as a server this morning.. was so so nice and cute probably the best server I’ve had in a while. I visited from out of town and staying at a hotel down the road and she knew the menu like the back of her hand and did not write a thing down. I was undecided about the chicken or beef souvlaki salad and she recommended that I should just get half and half to try them both out and I have to say GREAT DECISION!!!! She came back to check on us multiple times and even asked us which one we preferred.. tuff call but maybe chicken? Love both!!! Danyell or Dana or Mary? Ugh I wish I could remember this beautiful blonde if I were 15 years younger maybe I’d ask this lady out (maybe my grandson can)! Anyway 4sure a place to visit in Lockport great Greek food!!!!!!!! 10 STARZZZ!!
I was unimpressed with what I got. I ordered a souvlaki salad with gyro meat and the meat was so dry and overcooked it crumbled rather than sliced. The feta cheese had no flavor. There were so many onions on it. There was barely a half a head of lettuce in the container. The dressing was way too vinegary. I was however impressed with the prices for a steak with onions and mushrooms. I will be back to give that a try and will give another review.
I have ordered for take out from them and the last two times in a row they have given me the wrong order idk if its just laziness on the girls part or they just dont get that they are give someone something completely different than what they wanted. I even asked this time to make sure I was getting what I wanted and they still gave me the wrong item I will never go here again. I ordered a souvlaki wrap and they gave me a steak wrap not even close was very upset

Amazing fish fry as always! Service is always pleasant and quick... fridays are quite busy... because well...fish frys..lol. If you go between 530 pm and 730 pm.. be prepared to wait about 15 to 30 min for a table. If you get there around 8ish.. there usually isnt a wait.
My first time in here a d I am impressed. The service was good and quick. The food is delicious and huge portions.
Ordered seafood platter. Did not expect to get pre-prepped frozen seafood. Very disappointing. Cole slaw and mac salad was very heavy with onions. Will not be returning.

Pretty good food, and the portions are large. The gyro meat is a bit salty for my taste, and the carry out wait is sometimes rather longer than predicted.
Every time I come to New York/Lockport, my friend and I visit 1-3 times ! You may have to wait sometimes, but the wait staff are phenomenal, and the food is worth the wait!! Bring an appetite!! 5 stars for sure, service, quality of food, quantity of food all are 5 stars!!!!
My grandmother and I come here all the time. Good service and nice people. Their Greek omletes are amazing. Whenever I have had an issue theyve fixed it right away. Good prices too.
I went there for the first time today.The staff were nice and helpful, even recommended a couple things for me.The food, not so great. Its been a couple of hours since I ate and I feel very sick.The bathrooms had the smell of sewer water and didnt really look all that clean to me.Im willing to give this place another shot, but not anytime soon.

Normally this place has great food and service. Today I had the worst waitress/service I have ever had at a dinnining experience in my life. very rude and disrespected. I paid for my coffee with out ordering anything in addition. paid and tipped regardless of the bad service. not sure I will ever go back. bad review is fair and justifed.

Not many options for Greek in Lockport, but Kalamatas is just as good, and maybe better, than any other Greek restaurant. I always feel welcome here and the food is always great. Just wish they would expand a little.

We dine here often. Always great food! Weve had a few times with slow service but I havent seen those waitresses lately so the problem is most likely solved.
Not thrilled with how I was greeted when I arrived. As soon as the server sat me at a table, she asked me for my drink order, which made me feel rushed. There was also a lack of diverse vegetarian options, like falafel, which is kind of counterintuitive for a Mediterranean restaurant.
Its small restaurant but the food is delicious. Service is a little slow. Any way, I personally think you will like it!

Good food at fair prices. It is a 5 but that is what they are over charging for a domestic beer and do not offer an IPA, wheat or stout just Canadien lager, American lager, Mexican lager, light lager and more Sam lager... there might be a pilsner. What a waste of duplicated fridge space.

Enjoyed previous visits, this last visit was terrible...service was quicker than fast food. I felt as though we were rushed. my appetizers came and before the 4 of us could finish the salads arrived and before salads were consumed the main course came. all in all it seemed as though we were rushed. when you go to restaraunt to dine you expect to relax and enjoy the food and company. what ever happened to customer satisfaction. unfortunatly the waitress recieved nothing for a tip maybe shes in the wrong business..also the food was bland and the greek pasta was too zesty and puckery. will not visit again

Lettuce and Mayo must be cheap. I had a BLT, heres the low down, lots of lettuce and mayo, one small slice of tomato, bacon in lots of little pieces, rye bread toasted to a brick and I specifically asked for NO PICKLE, guess what, you got it, on top of the sandwich. This was by far the worst BLT I have ever had. BIG thumbs down. Yes I ate it because it only took 45 minutes to get. Im done with this restaurant???????Charlie

There is no customer service, they rush you in and out. watch your bill they will over charge you (p.s. for over price food.) my bill was first $28 more the it should have been, then it was corrected and it still was $15 more and they final corrected it that it was only $1.30 more (I think that is the tip.) The chicken is not Greek it is chicken fingers with some seasoning on them. The Greek are cook right but there is no flavor on them. The salad is a lot of lettuce but it is not Greek. The Texas hots dog are not Texas they are a Chile dog. So if you want to be over charge and not get what you want then go there.
Weve always had great food here breakfast, lunch and dinner and the servers are some of the best Ive ever had.

The day shift is terrible...I seldom dine there during the day..service is slow and you have to almost trip your server to get a refill on coffee ....we had a wait to get our order taken as our server was far to busy filling syrup bottles (like there was a huge demand or something)..after about 7 or 8 mins she finally showed up to take our order....she never stopped back to refill drinks..we had to stop her as she walked by and ask....the day shift servers are very unpersonable and act like they want to be somewhere else.....food today was eh at best...I didnt like mine it was greasy and tasted like steak ems covered in some sort of grease/hot sauce combo.....the night shift if phenomenal..they are attentive , friendly, they refill without asking...and what is even more important they smile and that goes a long way....going to stick to after 5pm dining

2022-04-26One toast, completely black-burnt. The other, soft as bread. Ordered eggs over easy, they were medium (which is actually what I like anyway). Not terrible but not great consistency for the price. Eggs and toast are not hard to make. Bacon was loaded with dirty black char. Went back a few days ago and paid $15 for a tiny blt, fries and gravy. Not bad, but not great. Better than one other privately owned breakfast place nearby but not better another.

2021-10-24Im not the type of person to leave a review BUT...There were flies EVERYWHERE. Took over 30 mins just to get our order in then took forever to get our food. When it finally came the order was wrong and the food was cold. Waitress was more concerned with telling us how busy it was then trying to fix the problem. And it wasnt that busy. I will never go back!

2022-05-21First time trying Greek food and we both loved it. Nice intimate atmosphere, excellent food, great service. We had the lamb chop dinner with Greek potatoes, green beans and broccoli soup and Mediterranean chicken with baked potato and Greek salad. We will be definitely be back!

2022-06-07We had a great experience at Kalamata. We had salads which were large and well done. One suggestion would be offer a smaller size at a lower price as it was too big for my wife. Prices were very fair and the service was good.

2022-03-07Really nice place with a nicely varied menu. We were there late Sunday morning and had both breakfast and lunch items. Everything was very good and my Ruben was fantastic. Service was good and time to get food was ok (they looked to be short staffed). Prices were nominal and we really liked the place and will likely return. I work in the area and will recommend it for lunches.

2022-06-13We stayed in Lockport NY overnight to see Niagara Falls and a local lady told us about Kalamata. Great omelet came with cubed fried potatoes not greasy at all. Excellent service & smiles from our waitress and welcoming staff who gave us info on the falls. Very clean nice decor. Good prices!

2022-05-03Ive been patronizing this restaurant for takeout fish fries for an extended timeAnd they were always good but, this past Friday proved otherwise.I had a baked fish which wasnt baked completely and the corn had a sour taste and didnt smell good.I ended up getting sick. Spoke to the manager who apologized and said she was sorry but on Fridays they prep everything in the morning.am,,

2022-03-19I want to start out saying I love the food here. Been coming here for years and it’s always been great. The service is a little different. Had a waitress I don’t know her name, leopard hair tie tiny child like with a bull ring. I’ve gotten her the past few visits and have been disappointed with her service. Shes nice enough, A little ditzy but I can’t fault her for that. She wasn’t very interested in assisting us and never checked on us, brought me the wrong food and was missing an item, which she just laughed about, when I got it it was cold. I had to flag down the only one waitress that seemed to be doing anything to get a refill. It seemed like all but one waitress, was just hanging out in the back, actually kind of felt bad for the one stuck on the floor. I’ve been a waitress 20 years or so, I know that bad wait staff can break a restaurant. The past few times I’ve come in the service has been sub par. Can’t say honestly I won’t be coming back because my hubbys obsessed with the souvlaki but definitely asking for a different waitress next time! P.s food was 5 stars!

2022-05-18My wife and I stopped in on the way home for dinner. They were not busy at all .We ordered a wrap for my wife and I had eggs. We waited and waited after 35 minutes we asked the waitress if there was a problem? She went to check on the order and was gone another 10 minutes !!! We were just getting up to leave when the food showed up!!! There was no explanation given by the waitress , nothing . We will not be going back any time soon . The food was OK , but not great and the service was awful 😕
