When I saw this rug, I knew it was something special but didnt know very much about it. It was in pretty rough shape - edges completely frayed, stained, chunks out of one of the sides, but it was quite the bargain. We brought it to Kalaydijan and worked with Sema. The time she took to study the rug when we first brought it in and interest she showed in this special piece confirmed we were in the right place to have it restored and cleaned as well as find out more about the rug. The very talented and knowledgeable staff were able to repair and bring the colors back to life. They were also able to tell us that we had quite a treasure, over 100 years old, very unusual design and motifs and a custom, hand knotted beautiful Persian Rug. Thank you Sema and to the entire staff of Kalaydjian - we shall treasure this piece of art and be happy to pass it down in our family for generations. You were a pleasure to work with.

Very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with . I have 2 rugs that were from my grandfather (and Im in my 60s) so I know theyre antique!! I also had pet stains due to an antique dog! They were able to identify what type of rugs I had and the best way to care for them.

Ruined our rug with white and green stains and then the owner was incredibly rude saying our rug was dirty and smelled bad. The owners are nasty and have terrible customer service and do not care about quality at all.You took on this rug saying you could make the stains better and you made them much worse. You were trying to make money off of us. Dothe rug was in WORSE condition when we picked it up and you were trying to ask for 600+ dollars. Ridiculous. A refund is great but does not account for the rude customer service.

I love shopping at Kalaydjian Oriental Rugs! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Lisa always takes the time to explain the history of each rug and its details. i.e. wool, silk, blend.. knots per inch. My first purchase was an education and a delight. Mt.kisco and all surrounding areas are so very lucky to have kaladjian Rugs right there on Main St. In Mt. KISCO.Their service is superb and you will find the most experienced and kind staff there as well.KALADJIAN Rugs has a wonderful and beautiful selection of many different rugs and I am sure once you see their wonderful selection and meet the staff, youll agree with all ive said so far. You probably will buy a rug or two.If you have rugs that need to be cleaned, they do rug cleaning as well and they do a great job.The owner, Lisa Kaladjian, has been there with her mom, who I call Mrs. K for many years as you will realize, when you receive the kindest welcome and plethora or information about their fine rugs.This is a wonderful family business and you will certainly enjoy shopping there!

Owner returned our rug 8 weeks later damaged and was incredibly rude and tried to argue with us that they should have never taken the rug to begin with because it was dirty and smelled bad. Permanently damaged a very expensive rug and then tried to berate us that it was our fault. Just nasty.

I’m not sure how Google has let the same person review 3 times. Sounds to me like the person saying the owners are nasty needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. These are some of the most beautiful souled people that own this place. They do a wonderful job and have great customer service. A few of these reviews make it easy to see that money can’t buy class.

Owner is nasty and rude and tried to argue with us that they couldn’t get the stains out and instead ruined the rug. She changed the estimate multiple times and said one thing over the phone and then proceeded to add 500 on when I got there. Awful business.
