The service at Karako suits of Carle Place has been amazing. I flew in for a wedding and wasnt sure if everything would fit properly. Luckily my tux rental fit perfectly. Also, I needed a pair of pants hemmed that I brought with me in my suitcase. They took care of this for me as well and put everything together for me in a garment bag including the stuff I brought.Also, since I took an uber there directly from the airport, they let me hang out in the back while waiting 30 minutes for an uber to pick me up. Ask for Calvin and Rob. They were the best
This morning I went into Karako to buy a suit for my sisters wedding this weekend and Calvin and Rob were extremely helpful. I walked in Calvin did a quick measurement on me we found the suit in a matter of ten minutes. They were very helpful when it came to fitting everything I needed into my budget. Will definitely be back for suits here. Thank you Calvin and Rob for your help.
Carlotta is the best in the game! Professional, helps choose the right fits, recommends the right color matches. Highly recommend this place! This review is to be changed as it has now been 3 months and I have not even gotten a call to get my remaining items. They took my money right away but have no decency to call me ever. I wanted to wait and see how long it took for a call. Nothing at all. I’m owed a suit, dress shirt, jacket.
This location is horrible. The place smells like food and they care more about eating then helping you. They made a major mistake with our tailored suits and wanted us to wait an additional 2 weeks for them to fix it. ADDITIONAL 2 WEEKS! HORRIBLE! Never going back there again. Best location is in Farmingdale.Im not calling your main office. Leave me alone. Will never visit the Carle place location again.
Nice place. Reasonable prices. Robbie took care of me. He was patient, knowledgeable and never made me feel rushed. I hate clothing shopping but this was a good experience. Im hard to fit, but he gave me multiple suits to try on until we found the right one. The fitter for alterations was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend.
Karako is as advertised. Bob over In Carle Place helped me style a brand new suit for 2 occasions in 24 hours alterations included. And being a former Top Model I was paid to wear the Best, this is Me In GQ Magazine Wearing A Black Overcoat and Brown Suit by Gianfranco Ferre$$$. In the end You wear the Clothes, the Clothes Dont wear You. Wether Its a $3.000 suit or a $600 suit. If your in an emergency situation like I was, Go See Bob in Carle Place and tell him Jeff sent you👏0
As soon as we walked in, the customer service was on point! Helping my family and I pick out beautiful suits, letting us know about their incredible deal, the professional who helped tailor our suits. And the person who helped us the most was Carlos; he gave us incredible tips, great matches for our suits, and was very patient with us. I will let everyone know to get their next suits here!
Went to the Carle Place location for suits for my best friend’s wedding party. Six of us were all measured, paid and told that the suits would be in store ready for alterations two weeks from the original day. No call came after a month and we called for an update and they pushed it back an extra two weeks.Finally when this date arrived they told us that the warehouse in California sent them the wrong color (for all 6 suits). They said they put in an expedited order and it would arrive the following week. Once it was the next week and we called for an update, we were told by the regional manager that they never manufactured the suits that we BOUGHT in the sizes we picked.It was a lie the entire time. Kenny was the person who sized us, refused to call us and hid when we came to the location. The store’s manager Rob was laughing at this serious issue and continuously caught himself in his lies as well.I couldn’t urge you to stay away from this store or company enough. Everything was handled in an unscrupulous and disgustingly unprofessional manner.
Friendly people who are pretty formal with a good amount of class. Got my prom suit from here and they love to negotiate little deals. Some very good tailors who are great at communicating and helping you know everything that you should know for every visit. Lots of different options for different things and great selection of suits and related items.
Very well put together and extensive styles. Large showroom and multiple fitting stations. Only downside was I had come here some time ago and they didnt want to look up my measurements and measured me all over again. Maybe they take new measurements for every new suit purchase and my old measurements are irrelevant.Great prices and always something on sale. Friendly staff, done before they say every time. Havent really had to shop anywhere else
If I could give less than one star I would. Terrible customer service. Bait and switch with suit deals. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM AND RIPOFF. Called the manager and he was rude and condescending causing me to say some not so nice things. When I said I was going to do a review he said go ahead, I don’t care he will call his lawyer. Make sure you tell them the truth in which is now what I’m doing. Including that I didn’t say some nice things. He said suit has two prices and one is a sale price. It should be labeled as a sale price. Instead they double the price of suit then offer you freebies. Then to top it Off they hit you with over priced tailoring in which I was told would be a “few” dollars more. More like a few hundred. Kept trying to get me to upgrade even though i didnt want to. My first time here, and yes I purchased out of necessity but if I had to again I’d go next door to Van Huesen store and buy there. Never again will I use this company.
If only I could give less then one star...Let me start with the fact that the staff at this place are lacking simple respect for customers. Just because me and my husband to be, are not spending thousands in this store we are instantly given an attitude, light chuckles around the store, and nasty looks...We have been there 4 times so far, and every time I come out of the store feeling disrespected, and looked down upon.No one wants to help. Staff hides around the store. And when you do try to ask for help-they bounce you around the room to the next employee-since you are not the money maker.The last drop was the fact that one of my groomsmens suit was ordered in the wrong size, and we only found that out when he came in to get his adjustments done - but he was basically refused in any help since the person we have placed the order with was not in store. So technically - Im not the one receiving commission from this - why should I help you. He was asked to come in on a different day- when the guy is in store.It is shameful to a company like this, that the employees there are basically judging of if its worth it to work with this customers or not.
GIVING THIS A 10 STAR +++++ THEY DID AMAZING! THE TEAM IS EXCELLENT!!!! THEY TAILORED THE SUIT WITH EXCELLENCE!! MY HUSBAND HAS A GUT AND THEY MADE IT WORK!!!! HE HAS WORN OTHERR SUITS FROM OTHER PLACES AND DIDNT LOOK RIGHT. BUT THEY NAILED THIS!!!! THANKS TO THE STAFF AND THERE TALENT DEF AM RECOMMENDING TO OTHERS!!
I live in Boston and got the call that my father was sick. I rushed down to see him in the hospital without packing. We knew he wasnt going to make it, and he died in a matter of days. I came to Karako so I could get a suit for his funeral. I told them I needed the suit the next day. When I said it was for a funeral not only did the staff get the tailoring done in time, but they waived the rush order fee. I cannot thank the staff here enough. Without their quick service and quality products I would have gone to my fathers funeral in a polo shirt. I will forever be grateful to these people.
UPDATE:I went back just recently and purchased 1400 in suits. I had a hesitation about getting the alterations there. I should of went by my gut. They alterations came out HORRIBLE. Every suit is different. All pants from the 4 suits are way to short, I asked for sleeves to be shortened and waists to be taken in. The tailor obviously did what he wanted. Some were done some were not done. HORRIBLE. I now need to go somewhere else to fix what he did. Tailor probably could not keep up with the workload so he picked and choose what he wanted to do.
The salesman here really know how to help you pick out a suit for any occasion. He asked me where am I wearing the suit? A wedding, for work, or a job interview. The style and color really matter. On the other side they are sharks and will push you to spend more money on higher end suits. Be honest and frim with them so you can stay in your price range. We came in for the 15 piece deal at the end of the year and the salesman took his time to do all the measurements and helped pick out shirts and ties to match all the suits. A really great, fast expierence. I have gone to other local suit stores and this was one of the best around. They accept credit and debit cards.
I have to edit my review and drop a few stars here. My initial review was for trying on the suits with my groomsmen where I thought everything was going to be good to go for my wedding. Initially we were measured by a gentleman from the farmingdale store who was covering in the carle place store in February of 2019. After we were measured I was told that we would receive the suits about 2 weeks before the wedding day. It made me nervous but I accepted. Fast foward a few months and we arrive at the 2 week mark. I called Karakos and was informed that the suits would arrive 5 days before the wedding day. I immediately went into panic mode because for all of you who are planning a wedding and who have planned weddings in the past who can vouch for the following statement - There is waaaay too much to do in the days leading up to it to risk any error along the way. Fast forward to the 7 day mark around closing time for the store and my suit was in ....that was all. Not my fathers nor my groomsmen or best men. The following day was my bachelor party and still no call from Karakos about the other suits. Now we are at Sunday 5 days before my wedding and I take a trip down to the store. Upon arriving I noticed that my tuxedos vest and bow tie (which was actually a regular tie) was in the color of the wedding party when I ( THE GROOM) Was supposed to have all white vest and BOW TIE. I was assured that this would not be a problem and that they would have the bow tie and vest into their location by Wednesday (2 days before the wedding). Luckily for me I took the week of my wedding off from work but that was a huge inconvenience for me with all of the other things we needed to do. While I was there My fathers and 3 groomsmens tuxes were in. I called my parents to ask if they received a call and they said no. Again , this was in the evening around 6-7 pm and they close at 9. I expressed my unhappiness to one of the employees but was met with a sorry not sorry attitude. Now, the following day ( Monday- 4 days before the wedding) I get a call while im at work from my parents that my fathers tux is too long in the pants and too short in the jacket. They tell my father that they will fix the issue on site and that it will be ready for him. While my parents were there they took notice that all but 2 of the guys Tuxes were there. History repeats themselves as only 1 of them was alerted about this and the other 2 were left in the dark. Thankfully that night one of the groomsmen lives next door to the other and they decided to both go without knowledge that one of their tuxes were ready as well. When 1 of my best men arrived ( I had 3 ) His tux was way too tight and the other gentlemen fit perfectly. To be completely transparent these were measured in February so it is possible that people gain weight in the 3 months but not nearly enough weight to justify my groomsmen feeling constricted. They informed him that his replacement would be in on Thursday (a day before the wedding). Now , Wednesday(2 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING) has arrived and FINALLY the last 2 tuxedos are in. We rush to the store post haste to find that one of my best mens tuxedo jacket would not close because it was too tight ( and he had lost 5 pounds since initial measurement for the wedding). To top it all off his top button on his jacket was dangling off and held by a thread and he received a regular tie and not a bow tie. The other groomsmen suit fit perfectly. They told guy with the messed up jacket that his replacement would be in on THURSDAY (A DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING). We begrudgingly agreed because what could we do at this point? My limit on characters allowed for a review is almost exceeded but I was met by rude staff except for 2 people. Fortunately the suits were all good for the wedding by the time this was all set and done but a huge inconvenience was met int he process and before the ceremony started one of my groomsmen buttons fell off hanging by a thread. Unless Karakos changes their process I would not recommend them for the use of tuxedo rentals.
Worst place ever do not go here a week before my wedding they dont have half the groomsman tuxes in the other half none of them fit.. I was cursed out hung up on insulted they did nothing to help... my fathers suit was too small grandfathers the groom and then they cant find 2 more... very unprofessional nasty people working there ruined my wedding
The worst experience that i ever had... sales men stand there talk while I was waiting for help. Finally I spent one hour choosing the suits (3 for $699) deal. Once I got to the counter, they changed the price. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS STORE... Sales man was also nasty.

2022-04-30Store manager is terrible. Has no idea what he’s doing and will completely forget about ringing you up when there’s other people at the store. I’ve been standing at the counter for almost an hour and keep asking the same guy(the manager) if he remembers he was ringing me up. I’m standing here with a 3 year old and he starts helping another customer and answering the phone and walks away and no other workers can help me cause there too busy helping new customers meanwhile we were here before all of them. Terrible experience definitely needs a better manager

2021-11-26Went today to look for suits for my daughter Wedding in March. We were assisted quickly by sales associate Calvin. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Assisted my husband in finding a well fitting and flattering suit. He then assisted in finding him a tie that would compliment my dress. We will be returning to have Calvin assist us in purchasing suits for my sons. He was a wonderful representative of your business.

2022-06-01Karako’s employees were extremely rude unprofessional, and unhelpful. Unfortunately my prom date ordered the wrong size vest, so we went here to see if they would have something that matched to one that was bought. Upon approaching the door the employee locked the door in mine and my mother’s faces despite the fact that there was still 20 minutes until closing. He was so quick to lock the door that he blocked other costumers from exiting. I tried to explain my situation to receive some advice, and the man who locked the door said he would check to see if he had the vest in stock without even looking at it. I was then promptly told they were sold out of every single vest and tie. They did not even look at vest I tried to show them because they claimed they were closed even thought there were still people inside. I am very upset and desperate because my prom is in two days and the only day that my date and I could go to the store together before the prom was today, and now I don’t know what I am going to do. I am very disappointed with the costumer service shown to me here.

2021-10-12Such a horrible experience getting suits for my groom and groomsmen for our wedding. Things were missing and wrong. It took forever for them to contact us that the suits were in. We were literally holding our breath until the day before to find out if everything was going to come in. The only shining star was Tony who we spoke to who did everything in his power to expedite the missing pieces. My advice is dont deal with karako if you can avoid it. Not worth the headache. Also almost every staff member other than Tony that we dealt with was rude. While our suits looked great the day of it was a nightmare up until that point.

2021-09-11I bought 8 suits for my wedding party and Karako made an absolute mess of the situation. They gave a few of the guys wrong sizes more than once. Here I am the night before my wedding putting pins in my best mans pants because they couldnt get it right after 3 tries. Never again Karako. Never again
