Kashi in other cities:
Went here for the first time in a long while. Ordered take out. Standard rolls and Tuna tataki. The rolls were not wrapped in a thick layer if rice and were loaded with plenty of fresh fish - great! Tuna Tataki was very fresh and perfectly seared. Will definitely go back sooner rather than later.
I really like this place. The sushi is very good and the restaurant is upscale. You can tell they try their best to create a lavish dining experience. The size of the sushi can be small at times, which is why I give it a 4-star rating instead of 5, but the place is great nonetheless. Great establishment
Found out about this place from work because I’m a delivery truck driver & deliver there sometimes. Decided to give it a try & was not disappointed . The best chicken teriyaki & spicy crab rolls , I think I’m addicted ! Staff is also wonderful, Great place to enjoy a Friday night
Food is fantastic. The only reason I didnt rate 5 is the timing on their website. I arrived exactly when it said my food was ready however I was required to wait an additional 20 minutes. It was after the lunch rush so Im not exactly sure what the hold up was. Regardless of the wait, the food was excellent
Ive been here to celebrate birthdays and it is very festive. The drinks are good. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is beautiful with a raised area with booths and drapes pulled to the side. It is slightly dark, but it makes it cozy. People are talking and having fun. Asian fusion and delicious food!
Met a friend for Happy Hour. Had a basic drink but the Happy Hour food prices were very good. The sushi I ordered was just as yummy as if it were full price. Its very sparkly in there (which I love) and has a giant picture window adjacent to the bar with stool seating. It had rained this day and they had umbrella bags, which was thoughtful, and free coat check as well. The only downfall was that I sat at the big picture window and it rained so it was dripping on my friend and I and within our drinks and food! As apologetic as the waiter was, Management should have discounted our bill.
The food is fresh and tasty though its not authentic Japanese (run by Chinese and has unflavored sushi rice) it pleases American palate and children like the different non-raw-fish options. Service is great and the ambience is also good. Lunch menu is a great option to try different offerings ; dinner can be a bit on the pricy side.
Best sushi ever, though a little expensive the quality is well worth it and the staff there was amazing. Some of the best attentive customer service without being obnoxious like other places. Great balance. Ive eaten a lot of sushi and this was the freshest so far. Wish i could afford to go the regularly.
Went on a Saturday night. The place was crowded with quite a few people seated at the bar. Good ambiance, great food and very attentive service. We had teriyaki chicken and some great sushi. I will definitely be visiting this lively restaurant again for its good food and ambiance.
Poor service waiter never came to table besides to bring food just disappeared and no it wasn’t busy and then had an attitude when he finally showed up seemed like they couldn’t be bothered for anything and rolls were quite small and inconsistent with each other when people in my group ordered the same exact roll taste wise and Size of the rolls were all different and seemed like we were being looked down upon entire time by staff Wouldn’t highly Advise you stay away much better sushi places in the area with Staff who are thankful you are spending you’re money with them
Was recently here for the first time- everything we ordered was amazing! Our server was nice even though we got there late at night. We didn’t feel rushed at all even though we had 3 courses. Kashi has a cool manhattan vibe to it. Nothing negative to say at all since it was a very positive experience. It’s a cool spot to go for happy hour or dinner or late night, on a date, or with friends. I look forward to going back! 5 stars!
Some of the best food in the area, and that says a lot given how many restaurants there are. Incredible atmosphere to dine in, with quality food, and great drinks. Had a perfect dinner where the owner even came over and taught some drinking chants with a free round of sake bombs for the table. Highly recommend!
Ok, Kashi was amazing. The atmosphere, service and not to mention the food was excellent. Its a place you have to visit. The Amazing tool was exactly that, I had a piece of Toro that melted in my mouth I had to order another piece. This was a wed night, you can be assured the weekends youre going to need a reservation.Enjoy
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and the bartenders, Vanessa and Nikki were everything! We ate at the bar because it was so busy there but they got us our food and drinks in record time. The chicken hibachi was amazing, and the sushi was very pretty. The lava cake was ok, probably wont get that again, but the tempura fried ice cream was good. They even put up with me making up my own drink for St Pattys Day, lol. 10 out of 10, will be back:-)
4 stars bc they had no tofu dishes few veggie choices unless u picked tempura. Deep fried .. dont always want that.. being a sushi house they cater more towards fishes and meats.. the place was clean the wait staff on point .. food ..yum... Chilaen sea bass..and salmon appy. Both wild caught were delishhhhhhhh portion is a little small but I was satisfied.. not very pricey either.. good choice indeed
We ordered sushi rolls & Chicken teriyaki as an entree to go. We requested our teriyaki little spicy, they gave us siracha sauce on side ($0.50). Shushi Rolls were tasty n fresh & we enjoyed it. But to our surprise Chicken Teriyaki was a joke. It was no where near what we expected. May be its their own recipe but we were disappointed.
Easy to see right off of Elm street servicing Huntington and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.
Didnt get the full dining experience since Ii didnt get any main entrees but we did get some spring rolls that were really good. The bartenders are really on top of their game. Top notch service. I asked for a spicy drink and did they ever deliver. Forgot the name of drink lol but it had jalapeno in it. It was definitely fire water though.Ok I returned with a party of four... We got a full spread at the bar. Oh boy was is good. The food was amazing..Got the spring rolls...Again. Roasted duck: bangin lol, assorted sushi rolls, omg this filet mignon a dish that was really good. Lobster gyoza was devoured so tasty. Did I mention I mention that the bartending was thee BEST?! Seriously, they have two awesome dynamo professional bar tenders there. Im almost convinced that everyone goes theres bc there are so on point. A very big shout out to Vanessa, who took very good care of our party with brutal attentiveness and penchant for delivering superb libations. There were times in the evening where I needed to freshen my drink govna and my new bfff Vanessa was already placing a drink down for me or in the process concocting another kind drink for moi. It was my birthday and I felt like a king.K is for Kashi and V is for Vanessa. :-D
We have been coming here for 6 years. The food is always great but lately when we order we get an absurd amount of sass and disrespect. We ordered this week and made a mistake on an order and had to modify it, the hostess answered and gave a disgusted sigh followed by an oh my god. She continued with even more unbelievable lack of customer service skills and disrespect. If you are a hostess or working in that type of field and bring a disgraceful attitude to work, then you should not be working in the front. It ruined my morning as I am sure its has ruined many others mornings in the past. If I were the manager there, I would think twice about who they have at the front desk. Great food but lack of soft skills in customer service. What a shame.
If you have a food allergy, do NOT attend this restaurant. The entire staff is completely negligent of their customers. Everything was great until I received my tune roll. When ordering, I informed the waitress to please prepare my food away from shellfish because I am extremely allergic. As I was informing her of this, she looked at me, smiled, and shook her hand saying ok, ok. (looking back at the situation, it is now clear she had no idea what I said, or just didnt care). When I got my roll, there was crab on it. When I told my waitress, she tried to convince me that the CRAB on my roll was sauce. Really? Then the manager came over. I was told that the person who prepared my roll was not allergy sensitive and that my roll was prepared with another roll that contained shrimp. After that poor excuse, he then offered a glass of wine on the house. Was I suppose to accept such an unprofessional, careless solution to this when my life was put in danger? This employee clearly does not care about his job, and is uneducated about the law. Or maybe the manager is unaware of how detrimental a situation like this could be to his business. The manager then gave me a $15 gift card to come back. Why on earth would I ever return to a place that does not care about the safety of their customers?? I get that we are all human and people make mistakes, they didnt even do anything reasonable to make up for it. Horrible service. Never returning.
I have eaten here many times over the past few years. The food is always exceptional along with the staff. Most Japanese restaurants get caught up with just sushi/ sashimi and authentic Japanese cusine; what I love about Kasi is not only is the Japanese food delicious they go outside the box and have amazing specials. From Lollipop lamb chops (heavenly) to even Kobi style sliders. I totally recommend eating here and hats off to the staff that always have a smile and make you feel like a true guest.

2022-04-10I will NEVER set my feet back into this location (Huntington, NY). It was my first time going there and the welcoming was terrible. There was a mixup with my reservation and the gentleman who was handling the check in, was rude, abrupt and dismissive. He was not eager to accommodate. Customer Service and customer satisfaction certainly isn’t a priority!!!

2022-05-29I used to order lunch every day from Kashi but their prices went up so much :/ I miss it but Osaka and Umami’s prices have pretty much stayed the same. I go there now for my lunch special. Miss Kashi though! Great quality food.

2019-12-04A friend of mine recently celebrated her 40th birthday here. The place was nicely lit, clean and decorated. The staff was attentive and speedy with their service. There were about 20-25 of us in attendance. We were served shrimp fried rice, chicken teriyaki, teriyaki steak, noodles with vegetables and various raw and veggie sushi. We all had a great time!

2019-04-01Place was nice. Great atmosphere. Service was good. Appetizers were really good. Especially the rock shrimp. Wish i took a picture of it. The sushi was good but didn’t leave there feeling like I just had some amazing sushi like I have from other places. Probably won’t go there again unless I am invited by someone else lol

2017-10-27Great Sushi and Asian Fusion!I love this place! Been here many times and it never disappoints. Love the lychee Martinis and basil filet mignon stir fry. The sushi is always very creative and very good. Wilson the manager is always around to make things go smoothly and super helpful. The service is very good and super attentive. Usually just the two of us but went last night with group of nine and they accommodated us even though I was able to call only one hour ahead on A very busy Friday evening. Great spot right next To paramount theater too.
