Kebab Express Halal Grill in other cities:
4 stars for a clean and great place for the food to enjoy in the big spacious dine in place! I use to get kofta kababs with rice platter about a year ago the quality of that was good and fresh but i now i tried couple times and it has tasted nothing like before now it feels like they use frozen kababs, please bring back the fresh original taste like before and make sure to cook it well sometimes the inside of it taste raw!! The employees working their are great and attentive to customer needs!
First time dining here. Felt like the food didnt match the demographics. Serving authentic afghan style food combined with Kennedys chicken(fast food). Maybe they have clientele but personally I would have preferred to focus solely on Afghani cuisine. Overall food wasnt bad. Good ambiance. Good flow of diverse patron. will probably visit again if in the area.
Our car was getting fixed across the street so my husband suggested to go and eat something. I didnt eat anything because I had eaten already. The place seemed nice and clean and the prices werent bad. My husband order a chicken cheesesteak sandwich which came with fries and a drink for $5.99. Well after two bites I noticed him pulling something out of his mouth. There was a large chicken bone. At first we didnt think anything because it does happen but as he continued to eat more smaller bones were found. Can be very dangerous if someone isnt paying attention!
Dropped by to get a chicken over rice. First impressions, very clean, spacious and organized! Also has a parking lot. In terms of the chicken over rice, I was very disappointed. The chicken had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. It tasted so bland, I couldnt even finish eating it. It was also mildly cooked, which made it worst. It is not your typical halal gyro filled with flavors and seasoning which it is known for. The rice were actually good, just the chicken was not well prepared. Please work on that, otherwise a very nice fast food place.
I have been keeping my eye on this place and had the chance today to try it. I looked at other reviews, but I decided to try them out anyways. It was a clean establishment the cashier was courteous in taking and letting me know it was ready. I chose the mix meat platter with the chicken and lamb includes a salad and rice. It had plenty of white sauce on the counter I noticed a try off available condiments to add it that wasnt enough. Nothing was dry and tasteless. I enjoyed the dish to beginning to end because the portion of everthing was just fine. Especially the white sauce was just right. If you like BBQ sauce and something with a little kick they have that too. There are many other dishes to try so there will be a next time.
It was 12:30 on a Saturday night I went in, as i was about to place the order. The chef came out and tells the cashier that he cannot make my order. Even the cashier insisted to let me finish speaking so he knows if there’s anything the can make for me but the chef said we got to close we cannot make the food for you it was still half an hour for them to close but the chef refused to make my order.I explained the cashier that i drove 15 miles to get here. But mr chef is not in the mood of cooking food today.Worst customer service ever
Just wow! Love the 2nd location just as much as the 1st location in Huntington! The food is fresh and delicious, you can never go wrong with a double Chicken breast with rice and salad. Fast service super clean, and the staff is friendly! Try it out if you already haven’t
Amazing food amazing service. I’ve Been a loyal kabob express customer since they opened their first location in Huntington. Bad news was I moved to Nassau and the drive to Suffolk was getting to me, that was until the hempstead location opened up! Me and my wife go about 2-3 times a week for the mix platter over rice or sometimes when we don’t want the carbohydrates we do chicken kabob over salad. Every time it’s better than the last! I recommend anybody in the area or even queens for that matter to try this place out. The ambiance is also truly authentic to Afghan culture and really beautiful space they have created for the customer experience.
Great food, one of my most favorite Halal restaurant but terrible customer service. You charged me a drink but don’t give me it because you guys don’t deliver drinks with UberEats and DoorDash? So why even have it on their as option. Change the price and option !! Plus when I called the a woman, “D” or “Dee”, was just so nonchalant and just unhelpful. She was quite rude she tells me “she (the boss) confirmed it and then I ask when will boss be in tomorrow, D tells me “he (the boss) will be in tomorrow”. So which is it?I really do love y’all food but I’m so disappointed. It isn’t even the first time. I said okay the first time, and alright the second .. but I’m annoyed.
Tender and juicy kebobs. Well cooked, spices as well as seasoning on point. They offer a wide variety of middle eastern food. From a quick bite to a nice sit in, has a fast food restaurant with an urban feel environment. I’m a huge fan of their Huntington and now as well as their Hempstead location. Continuity in food and process, they never disappoint. Always clean and quick! Always recommend!! Check them out!!
First time here ...food is so tasty and fresh ingredient.ordered the lamb kebab. Mouth watering..tastes as if it was cooked at home ...Ill be stopping in again soon..love it ! Within minutes of arriving hine my daugther sent me back for another order . Nice to find a healthier option for ordering out. Keep it up. .

2021-08-15Food is fresh, good. Takes time to prepare, but its okay. Just one note, please fix the restroom. Does not have a lock on door and no mirror and TP. Will update review on next visit.

2022-05-30I went to eat here with my family, there was six of us. They refused us to get an extra table. Even though there was an empty table right next to us. When we asked to add that table again, one of the worker or whatever gave us attitude. He gave us food with no plates or anything. Long story short, not a place to come in if u want to have an enjoyable meal……

2022-03-07Food is really good, prices not bad at all and really nice staff.I went there Friday night and tried the mix over rice and some of their kebabs and everything were amazing. The cashier was really nice and made really good recommendations I just feel bad for the staff there, they have to deal with some rude costumers, the guy that works at the counter had the phone on speaker while he was packing up my order and I heard how rude a customer was being to him. You cant treat people like that and less if theyre just doing their job.

2020-02-02Was waiting for this place to finally be up and running I wasnt disappointed with the great service plus and the beautiful design and look of the restaurant. I grabbed a mixed gyro platter plus a chicken breast kebab both were very tasty especially the kebab nicley seasoned and juicy. Im definitely going to need to try all thier platters in the future.

2020-02-08The fact that there wings are better than Buffalo Wild Wings is crazy. It’s a great place to bring kids and is like a healthy version of fast food, and that meat is the bomb. Whatever that white sauce is, it’s pretty good.So yeah I recommend coming sometime but the only thing is the neighborhood is a little sketchy but inside is very safe and lots of space with clean bathrooms.

2020-08-24Actually pretty nice. This restaurant isn’t too tiny, it’s relatively medium sized. The place sort of has a vintage Arab theme/aesthetic (think Islamic Golden Age), so that was pretty cool. They’ve got regular fast food like gyros, lamb/chicken over rice, cheese steaks, etc. but also some traditional Middle Eastern food. Several different varieties of kababs (like chicken breast kabab, lamb kabab, kofta, chicken tandoori). I’ll be honest the food selection was pretty average and there wasn’t all that much to choose from but the taste was really good & of high quality. All the spices and flavors you’d expect from this type of food, and for a decent price nonetheless. I’d totally recommend grabbing a bite from here!

2022-03-17Clean and well maintained. Food quality is very good too. And also much decently priced compared to rest similar spots. I would surely recommend.

2021-07-13Imagine my surprise when I got home and saw the 5 bite pieces of lamb kabob with a full box of rice. That’s a 10 dollar platter. Some of these Muslim owned establishments only care about filling their pockets without caring about customers whatsoever. It’s saddening how insensitive these people are. People go in to buy food when they are hungry. This is how you cheat people to fill your pockets ? It’s a shame.
