This is a truly amazing place of worship, prayer and great teachings! Kehilath Haderekh - Congregation of The Way has been and continues to be such a wonderful community of faith, where believers of all backgrounds come together and are lifted in the spirit with anointed services each Sabbath. What a blessing!
During a visit to NYC for a convention I needed a place to go for Shabbat. Someone told me of this synagogue that I was on the plane with. I went in and everything looked Jewish until I heard them talking about Yeshua....this parsha wasnt about Joshua so I asked the guy next to me and he said thats Jesus....we call him by his Hebrew name. I quickly learned that I was at a church and I was in the wrong place; I asked outside and someone sent me to a beautiful Jewish Synagogue close by ......it made a great story for the family at home. Anyway just in case you miss it this isnt a Normal Jewish Synagogue. They follow Jewish literature but also follow the Christian New Testament with Jesus and all so I would say this is more of a Evangelical Church.
When I visited Kehilath HaDerekh THE WAY for the first time , I knew in my heart that I was home, that I have found my roots, my family and since that day I fell in love with the reverence that they have for God at The Way. Ive never seen people of God so humble, and I thank God for the leaders and all that beautiful family that He put in my life. Yeshua (Jesus) is here in a powerful way. Come, visit and experience this amazing place for yourself.
A place to call home. The worship music is amazing! The messages are outstanding. They quote Tanakh, but also the Sages, The Apostles and even modern great thinkers to help you find practical advice for everyday living. Even the children are at home here, blessed by the whole assembly before running off to study together.
Kehilath haderekh The Way Congregation is a congregation that combines traditional Judaism, Messianism, and the move of the Spirit into a beautiful and powerful spiritual experience. The community and leadership along with the spiritual dynamic brings me great joy and has contributed to my own growth and progress. Come and see for yourself!
When all flights, trains, & rental cars were cancelled/sold out, I had the privilege of spending Shabbat with this home away from home. Everyone made me feel right at home and the teaching is wonderful. The Rabbi talked about how the Bible/Torah is the Bread of Life and correlated this to divinity of Yeshua. Some can be confused after saying the Shema given G-d is echad. However, Bersheet clearly depicts a plurality yet singular G-d. Thankfully Yeshua makes it even more clear in John chapter 1. HalleluYah!!!I encourage anyone seeking truth to visit.
Ive been attending Kehilath HaDerekh and have found as a Messanic Jew their Shabbats are a complete expression of what a day of rest is supposed to be.......which is praising Yeshua and be reminded of his word. The warmth of the fellowship of believers is just another reason I feel The Lord has profoundly lifted this congregation.
Kehilath Haderekh is a completely different, beautiful experience, with a teaching of the Messiah and the first very biblical covenant. the praises help you to connect with the spiritual in such a way that you rejuvenate in your faith. Be part of this great movement of love and service.
For those of you attacking the Rabbi by whining about this not being a real Jewish synagogue should grow up and get a life. This is definitely not a Christian place of worship, it’s rather a Messianic JEWISH synagogue, so get your facts right before making false accusations .

2022-04-12If your search for a true and real relationship with Yahshua has brought you to read our comments, then come visit us. If you seek fellowship with others who are not bound by race, gender, or judgement but an eternal loving relationship with the one and only true God, please come and visit us, you won’t regret it.Update 4/15/2022. I and my family are no longer members of KHD. We began to feel very uncomfortable because of offensive remarks thinly veiled in humor, and although the commandment to forgive is essential in our relationship with Yahshua; to remain in a position to be offended again is not. We pray for continued growth and blessings to KHD in the matchless name of Yahshua. Shalom.

2018-09-05After visiting several other Messianic synagogues in the city, I found Kehilath HaDerekh The Way. I was so glad I did. This congregation is a group of people who radiate the light of Torah, truth, and Messiah. A blend of old and new testament in a way that makes me feel that this is something like the way that the Messiah Himself may have viewed the expression of the faith. When in the standard Jewish synagogue, it feels cold, absent the Spirit, and devoid of Messiah, and when in the church, it feels good in many ways, but strangely as if it has taken a wrong turn to the Roman or Greek path, having left the foundations of Messiah faith. Where other Messianic congregations seem like a Christian church meeting on Sabbath, or just weird in their teachings or leadership, this congregation rings of Truth, Spirit and Goodness. I feel the presence of God in this place!

2018-09-04This place is the best Messianic congregation I have ever visited. There were only about 30 people but the worship was off the hook, and took me to a spiritual connection I had never experienced before. The prayers in Hebrew were chanted it was beautiful and they had a prayer book with English translation as well as a transliteration so I could read the prayers in Hebrew using English letters. The sermon knocked my socks off. The people were warm, welcoming and friendly. I left feeling I had a spiritual 7 course meal, and the bagels and coffee were top notch too. I made new friends and cant wait to visit again the next time Im in NYC. My real rating is AWESOME.

2018-06-21I visited this congregation in June 2018 and I was really blessed with the powerful words of the Rabi. At first I was a little concerned with one of the comments in the internet, but the response of the synagogue to it was enlightening and I copy it here: “As the Torah expressly forbids same gender marriage, our faith reflects the same. We do not condone nor support same gender marriage nor LGBT in our congregation.”I highly recommend the place. People are friendly and we are really blessed with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

2019-11-07I visited this congregation several times this past summer while in NYC. I found it to be a delightful shul with warm, welcoming people, and a very Jewish expression of faith. They have beautiful Jewish Liturgy, from the MaTovu and the Vshamru, to the Shema, Half Kaddish, and Aaronic Benediction, as well as other prayer, in Hebrew, English and Aramaic. They have a Torah service with processional, a Torah Reading in Hebrew and English with a Shiur/Drash, and also a lovely worship set with songs in Hebrew and English. The have Hebrew Classes, Bar & Bat Mitzvah Training classes, and a Beit Midrash. They have Bagels and coffee before the service and a Kiddish afterward. I was overwhelmed in a good way with the amazing things this little shul does. So Jewish, so beautiful. The rabbi, I met, has 4 ordinations, including his first, by an Orthodox rabbi. I was impressed by this congregation, and more than that, I left feeling elevated in spirit, knowledge, truth, and having made new friends. This shul is a diamond in the rough and a must visit for anyone looking for authentic Messianic Jewish Torah and New Covenant Faith. I experienced Messiah Yeshua there like never before. 2018-09-05Kehilath HaDerekh Messianic Synagogue (The Way Congregation) exemplifies the best of the Messianic Jewish experience. Their use of Jewish liturgy, and sprit filled worship as well as deep impact sermons, and in a wholesome, brotherly community. Having visited virtually every Messianic shul in NYC, this congregation is, in my opinion, the best expression of Messianic Judaism in the city. It is in fact one of the best I have seen anywhere. While small in size with about 40 people, the feeling of being served with the spirit, word, and love of God, really inspired me. What this congregation lacks in size it more than compensates for in the quality of the service, sermon and in the warm, welcoming manner of the people. The Good News of Messiah Yeshua is being taught here and well. Shabbat Shalom Indeed!

2018-09-09I love Rabbi Benzi and his beautiful family and congregation! Anytime we’re in New York we make Kehilat HaDerekh our stomping ground for Shabbat. There’s no place I would rather be when I’m in New York, but to enjoy a Shabbat Service with my dear friends! The worship is lively, passionate and filled with the Ruach HaKodesh! The Torah Teaching is rich in revelation and inspiring in its relevance and real application for daily living! They really love HaShem and His people!
