I hadnt gone here to sit and eat since before COVID. Oh boy..Went with my husband and kids. It was about 4pm so we had a mixture of things, breakfast and lunch. The prices have gone up so much, so it was about 200 bucks for burgers and pancakes. One of my girls had a grilled chicken sandwich. It had so much oregano she was taking the chicken out! No more kids meals, so my boys ended up with full orders of pancakes. Saved one order for today. So that was a plus. The Chipotle burger was DELICIOUS! Nice plus to the previous menu. Perfectly cooked, avocados were nice and ripe. Yum! I would go back if they decide to clean up! There were only 3 other occupied tables, and they looked bored when we walked in. Makes me wonder why we were seated at a table with a whole pickle hanging out under it with 2 handfuls of crumbs. I tried to adjust our table as it was too far from the booth seat back, and my fingers got stuck to gum! Wishing now I had thought to take pictures. Oh yeah.. and a crazy guy with his shirt half off and no shoes came in and started a ruckus! Poured the water he asked for on the floor, and was about to throw a sugar jar! My daughter had to move from her seat because he was going nuts right behind her! The new owners need to get security back in there.
I had the chicken gyro sandwich. The chicken was overcooked and dry. No flavor to it.Something was up with their air quality. The air in there was cool but musty. When we were in there, the next door patrons kept clearing their throat and blowing their nose. My husband said he felt like he was going to have a sneeze attack. When we left, he said he was able to breathe better. To the owners get you air filters checked along with your A/C unit.
This was hands down the nastiest food I’ve ever tasted in my life. I thought I was just being picky but everything from the burger I got to the waffle fries was bland, dry, and very cold. My smoothie was inedible and warm, as well as my food getting here after an hour. Will not be eating here again.
The food is Great !!! The works are nice !!! Sometimes the person by the register is a little rude, and I feel that is the person that should be the friendliest because that is the first person that is greeting. That person suppose to set a great mood for the customers to feel welcomed. I Little Pricey. But the food is worth it.
This was my first time here and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Perfect portion sizes. Customers spaced out nicely once inside... just a tad crowded in the waiting area, which probably defeated the whole purpose of social distancing once inside. Greeter collected names, telephone numbers and recorded a forehead/wrist temperature before we were seated. Ill definitely be back.
Ive never been to a restaurant where when they get your order wrong they yell at you and refuse to correct it. My brother ordered the Williamsburg sandwich, they gave him wings instead and then literally said what do you want us to do? While staring at us. Ummm...bring the correct meal????? The worst part is there was a clear language barrier, still not willing to acknowledge their mistake. I will never return and they should absolutely be ashamed of the service there.
Went in there for a bite to eat with a friend, after work,; And was real hungry. We sat down to eat Waiter comes over and BECAUSE my friend didnt decided fast enough waiter had an attitude and walked away, he didnt even say ok il give u some time il be back he just got an attitude and walked off. My friend and I walked off and we were like u know what we dont need this lets go. We can imagine what he will do to our food. All that was not necessary. We dont need this. We just left. GOOD BYE.WONT BE BACK FOR SURE.
I ORDERED 2 ORDERS OF CHICKEN N WAFFLES AT A COST OF $19 each WITH TAXES FEES DOOR DASH FEES N DELIVERY FEES MY CHARGE WAS $50. PRETTY SIMPLE. WELL I GOT ONE COMPLETED ORDER N ONE WAFFLE. UMM HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? CALLED KELLOGGS N THE GUY TOLD ME HE PACKED IT. ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK WITH UR MISSING ORDER I HOPE THEY DONT BLAME U. DONT RECOMMEND U ORDERING FROM THEM!
The food here was excellent, I ordered breakfast food, and it was perfect. The kids ordered from the kids menu, and they ate all their food plus my leftovers. Usually, there is a doggy bag, not so with this restaurant. The kid said to give them a 4, and the reason they didnt get the 5 was cause of the bathroom. I would come back here anytime.
First off, this Diner located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is opened 24hrs; next the Customer Service was great, and when we ordered our breakfasts, which were my Coffee, Cranberry Juice, Apple Pancakes, Eggs, and Turkey Sausage and my husbands Omelette, Hash Browns, Bacon, Toast and Cranberry Juice the wait wasnt long and the food was delicious. Thanks for this enjoyable meal and experience.
The food was fresh. Breakfast menu all day. We ,party of 4, had a Virginia ham sandwich , meatloaf with mushrooms and Philly burger deluxe. The meatloaf was shared and they brought us an extra plate , no questions asked. For extra, they dont split the bill but take credit cards , cash and they have an ATM , close by the lobby entrance.Open late.Just got out of the Salsa Concert at Barkleys Center then went to eat at Kelloggs. Realized the Tito Nieves was there , such a beautiful man. Had to take a pic. Thank you Tito Nieves. Boriqua Hermano. DTQ.
When I go there I was greeted by a host and they had security at the front door possibly because it was a Halloween weekend and people were out partying and coming to eat there after. Anyway I was able to choose where I wanted to be seated which was close to the front but it was cold when people were coming in and out so I kept my coat on and later on they had the heater on for a few. The waiter was such a sweetheart and it seemed to only have men waiting there possibly to keep it simple lol and not have good looking women distract the men coming there. Anyway now the waiter took out drinks and food. The Hennessy colada! Ugh if you like to drink it was so good. And my wings I was able to get half bbq and buffalo because it came with 10 wings and I got ranch sauce on the side and my friend got a tuna melt which was good as well. We couldn’t eat it ask so we brought it home. They thanks us as we left out the only thing was the bathroom it didn’t seem like they did much cleaning in the woman’s bathroom and I had to squeeze soap out from a spray bottle. But I had a good time chill vibes, I would recommend a friend but tell them to sit towards the back in the winter and be prepared if the restroom isn’t cleaned.
Not that great. Nachos had no flavor at all. Literally plain store bought chips with American cheese melted on top and sliced jalapeños. Salsa on the side and containers of sour cream. Very disappointed. Huevos rancheros were pretty bland and upsetting too. My friend had to put ketchup to everything to add any flavor at all. The chicken club sandwich had really really dry chicken and the fries were soo oily. Service was a bit slow too because there were only 2 people working for dinner on a Saturday night... only good redeeming factor is that they have good portions but if you care about eating flavored food then don’t come here.
Ive been going to Kellogs for 15 years! Its a staple in Williamsburg and even though it doesnt seem to be as popular as it used to be, its still serving really good diner food. Now I bring my kids here for special occasions. If you love diners then you are in for a treat! My daughter loved her milk shake. Its a little pricey for diner food but matches what you normally pay for dinner in this neighborhood.
The only place we found open at new years. We waited over 1.5 hours for a table for 8 while we watched others get tables faster. Finally got 2 tables for 4 on each extremes of the diner. Service was excellent, the food was good. We got our check with 18% gratuity included for our 4-people table. Not that our server didnt deserve it, but that used to happen on groups of 7 or more.
Customer service isn’t good, waitress barely checked up on me or anything, waitress gave check without me asking.my fruit salad, didn’t have any berries in it.my toast wasn’t even toasted wtf…my eggs could’ve been more salted like ew and the bacon just looked and felt so bad
I have heard a lot about Kelloggs Diner and tried it out. The service was decent as we were sat immediately upon entering. The waiter was solid but could have been better. Out initial wait for him to take our orders was longer than it needed to be with a restaurant not a full capacity. My steak was tasty but could have been better. It wasnt bland but I have grown accustomed to having steak with more seasoning. The fountain soda was flat but manageable. I will return again jut order something else
Reading these other reviews, Im wondering if I went to the same diner. I ordered huevos rancheros, not thinking Id be served Uncle Bens rice, hot tostitos salsa and the same mini tortillas I have in the back of my fridge. The dish is supposed to have black beans not overcooked mystery beans. There was salsa on the bottom of my boyfriends plate as well, so my food was garnished with whatever was on the bottom of that plate. Also, my boyfriend had to order his coffee 3 times before they figured out that putting ice in things makes it cold. If the circus isnt in town, this is the 2nd best thing.
Kelloggs is a pretty standard diner and theyre open 24 hours. The restaurant itself is cute, clean, and well-lit. The staff are all friendly and are attentive for the most part. The food is pretty hit or miss though because most things lack seasoning. Their burgers are great (the chipotle burger is my favorite), but their standard crinkle cut fries are awful. As for delivery, do yourself a favor and avoid it. Nothing will come as you expected it to be (missing ingredients and items), and they tend to completely disregard modification requests. So order delivery at your own risk.
It was a cold day and we needed a place to have some tea and use the bathroom. Tea was good, staff was very friendly, vey patient with people who speak little English. We ordered some cake. It was huge size and very delicious. We really enjoyed the diner experience, the warmth ina cold day and it was nice chilling out for a while after a long day of walking around NYC.
Absolutely delicious breakfast. My waitress Ruth was exceptionally attentive. I was in NY over the holidays and made this diner the meeting place for everyone to gather for breakfast as we all looked forward to breakfast together. Thank you for the memories and excellent food.
Clásico dinner americano. Como estos quedan pocos y no está mal si quieres darte un buen atracón. La camarera más veterana no es demasiado agradable.//Nice place, classic american dinner but not too good service. There we found this kind of people who seems not to be confortable with such a simple question like what is the veggie burguer made of? Btw if you wanna feel full Kellogs is a good choice
Didnt expect much from this diner, but both times I left it being really satisfied. Amazing place. The best spot after 11pm you can find around. Nice variety and decent food for good price. It has typical American style and spirit, Wich is quite weird for Williamsburg and makes it even better.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!! THE OLD MAN WHO WAS TAKING THE ORDERS AT THE COUNTER WAS VERY RUDEDISRESPECTFUL AND UNPLEASANT TO MY PARTY FROM THE MOMENT WE WE SEATED AT THE TAKEOUT COUNTER...LONG STORY SHORT■ I WILL NEVER EVER PATRONIZE SUCH AN UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN!!!HE DOES NOT EVER NEED TO BE HELPING OTHERS OR ATTENDING TO PEOPLES FOOD...LITERALLY APPALLED AT THE WAY HE TALKED TO MY WIFE.HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!!
I went to the Kellogg’s Diner with my daughter and son on Monday. Food was great! Everyone was so nice. The owner I believe her name was Irene was such a doll. I loved her. She made me feel so welcomed. She’s definitely an angel. This is going to be my go to when I’m in the area.
I am ONLY giving the 3 stars because the food was hot!! This place must be under NEW management!! The bathroom was dirty, my shoes stuck to carpet, lighting was dim and there was a dampness and smell in the back. Service here was basic. We cracked a joke with the server he didnt even smile/laugh. I wont be going back... Oh did I say CASH only now!! YEAH, BRING BACK THE OLD TEAM!!
Kelloggs has been a staple in my neighborhood for years. So glad Im supporting a business that supports peoples rights.Went to Kelloggs on a whim last night after a night out in Brooklyns bar scene and was able to seat my party of 8 in about 20 minutes. Food came to our table quickly and was phenomenal with large portions.
Ordered a Philly cheesteak on a wrap. Supposed to come with sides. Served by itself, soggy and super bland. Server (male) barely said anything and didnt ask if I wanted anything else or ask how it was before bringing me the check. Would absolutely not recommend. Wouldve rather lit a $20 bill on fire than spend it here.
Yeah, this place went down hill. I’m gonna guess management changed. Food was cold, had to chase the server for coffee. Now they want only cash and they add the tips in the bill which is one thing I hate. It should be up to the customer or pay ur staff better. I have come to this place for over 20 years, this will be my last time. Save your money people. Horrendous service.
WORST PLACE EVER. I don’t recommend to eat here, the waiter literally yell at us from the middle of the diner “ if you don’t follow the rules you don’t eat here” then he came into our table and continue to yell at us hitting the table because we sat in a table that wasn’t clean yet, even though the lady at the till told us to seat wherever we wanted. THE WORST experience so far, I left the place crying because of how aggressive this guy was
Kellogg’s Diner has been a staple in my neighborhood since I can remember. I’m sorry that it may close and the workers will lose their jobs but the truth is that the quality of the product has changed and for the price of their meals the food should be better quality. Such as Fresh potatoes for the fries and mash. Fresh soups and quality mayo in the coleslaw. In support of Kellogg’s I took my family there four times in September/October. One meal out of four was good. Considering that a Burger deluxe is Approximately $15+ for that you get frozen fries, flavorless coleslaw and I think the burger is frozen as well. On my last trip, We ordered two burgers deluxe, a brisket sandwich deluxe and I don’t remember what I had. Unfortunately, the food was not good and no one enjoyed the meal. The waitress we had was not very attentive and we had to ask her for certain things a few times. It was not a busy day. So needless, to say we were all disappointed and made the decision not to go back. If Kellogg’s had a fighting chance they need to upgrade your products and check out the competition in the neighborhood. There is a lot of it for the same price or less you get delicious fresh burgers and fries. Simple meal
Very overpriced for mediocre food with little to no flavor depending on what you get. you can find the same type of food else where and with wayy lesss prices, plus better flavors. the staff either carries attitude or are cool. my server was nice. i don’t know why they changed their split check policies as it wouldve avoided several issues. i could tell the women was talking about my group and i especially after our first card declined. it looked as if though they were judging us even though we paid with another card. my experience was okay but i probably wouldn’t come back here.
I really enjoyed eating here. The have seating open until 12am which is awesome. The diner is super clean and the bathrooms are clean as well. The service is great and the tables are nice and big as well. There are about 100 options to choose on the menu so you can really get anything. I got the belgian waffles and some banana cream pie and both of them were great! I reccomend to go here if you want a great diner to chill at.
First of all my overall experience wasn’t pleasant at all. As I walked through the door they immediately “confiscated” one of my bags because it had an empty bottle of vodka. After I was done eating I went to grab my bag from the front counter because the bag also carried some of my belongings. They told me they couldn’t find it / lost it and showed little to no effort in the fact that they LOST my bag. It all seemed suspicious and I find that partially illegal.Lastly, to top it off I ordered beef and got a sausage like textured meat that was not too appetizing. Overall had a really upsetting experience there and I am never the type to write any negative reviews.
Freedom loving establishment and owner will not discriminate. Show your love to this diner and those who keep it alive 🤗✌️To the owner: if the boot on your neck gets worse, please move to the south east. We would love to have you and your overhead costs/cost of living would be a fraction of what you pay to the tyrants running your city.😉
Unfortunately I live out of the country and have never had the opportunity to eat there. But I strongly support the owner and her trying to keep her restaurant open during these difficult times and not discriminate against anyone. I hope one day I will get the opportunity to eat there. Thanks to the owner and her staff.
Kelloggs diner.Great place great service and great food.I really love the prices for very good food.Only one thing I ever saw and or tasted is the coffee.Only one time I was served burned coffee.Everything else has always been great.5 stars Kelloggs keep up the good work.We need places like this where you can find good comfort food with good service.
I live in the North Bronx and today Im having dinner at Kelloggs Diner 40 minutes away in Brooklyn just so that I can show my support and appreciation to the owner and her family. I watched her tell her story on the Highwire with Del Bigtree and its terrible that so many small businesses are being made to enforce an unconstitutional and illegal vaccine mandate. I encourage all freedom loving Americans to support these establishments in any way possible. If we dont stand with them we all fall together.
Wasnt happy with the service the manager gave. My waiter was great and very understanding. However the manager only cared about making a sale. The grits that I ordered were disgusting. I showed my waiter the issue and she was understanding. However the manager refused to remove the item from my bill. Eat here at your own risk. Keep in mind I used to go all the time to this diner. Food was great at one time.
Atrocious. Ordered nachos for pick up. They put plain chips in a container with NOTHING else. I called and I was told it was chips with cheese and jalapeños (btw if you’re a person who has ever had nachos have you ever heard of THAT being what nachos are???? Not I). Either way they would not deliver to correct their mistake (we live a 5 minute walk away). We were charged for a nacho platter, received plain tortilla chips, and after calling to say hey what’s up we’re told tough. Any place that does that should be out of business. Btw, again, we live down the street so it’s not a trek for them to fix this. Do NOT go here. TRASH
I tried calling to ask if there were nuts as I’m very allergic and wanted clarification, and they hung up on me. Multiple times. I just wanted to ask if they could check w the chef about nuts in their stuffing, and he wouldn’t. We tried calling back multiple times to the point where as soon as they saw we we’re calling, they hung up before saying hello.Horrible customer service. Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Really bad dining experience. The manager was unfriendly, just as our waitress. I ordered a cheeseburger, which did not have much flavour. My friend had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was nice, but the chicken was dry, flavourless and full of bones. The portions are big, which could be a good thing, but the quality was really bad. Overall really overpriced and really bad service. Dont go here for dining!
The food tasted like it was made by someone who doesn’t know how to cook and all the product seems like it was bought at the dollar store. i ordered the Viva Mexico on a hero and as soon as i bit into it all i could taste was bad breath. CAN GORDON RAMSAY DO A KITCHEN NIGHTMARES ON THIS PLACE!!?? this place sucks.
I came in today to order lunch for takeout but the short lady at the counter was beyond rude and annoyed at me for doing absolutely nothing. She proceeded to throw back my credit card and receipt after paying and once my order was ready I saw her take and eat fries from my order in the kitchen with no gloves on. She was handling money and credit cards before going into the kitchen so thats pretty much a healthhazard during Covid and everything.Overall bad experience, first and last time I come here.
They get 2 stars because their pancakes never disappointed. However I visited this place 3 times with my partner. On ALL 3 occasions we had the same server. (Older white woman)On ALL 3 occasions she hated us for no reason and was rude, flat out ignored us and kept walking by our table as Im clearly calling out mam because either i needed to know where the bathroom was or i needed another set of utensils. It would be a little comforting knowing she was like this with everyone but her demeanor and tone of voice would change when spesking to tables next to us.She would give us attitude every time she spoke to us and would not even look at us as were giving her our order. On all 3 occasions we visited we ordered 2 orders of pancakes and hot chocolate. The easiest of orders considering were at a diner. Its hard to feel bad for a place going out of business when you were treated horrible every time we went. But i wish them luck and hope they can make it through this pandemic.
In store experience is good but I would never order online again. It was one hour late, food was cold, fries was all mushy, because its been waiting in the container for a long time to be delivered probably. If you are going to order delivery, order it from their website - no fee, they are available on Uber eats but seems like they dont actually use Uber drivers, and they charge $5 delivery fee! When you call the restaurant to ask about your order status, because its one hour late, they say cant find Uber drivers, if you are using your own delivery people, why do you need to blame Uber drivers? We know when restaurant cant find delivery person, it shows in the app....If you are still using Uber eats, and using your own delivery people, at least dont charge delivery fee, and update order status. Even after I received my order one hour late, they havent updated my order status for 2 hours.
My favorite server in all of NYC works here. I always forget her name but she reminds me of Bea Arthur. Shes very nice and my 12 and 10 year old love her. Weve visited regularly since they were 5 and 7 yrs old. I notice other customers are often rude to her. She seems to be a serious person but shes not mean so be friendly, tip well and you will be taken care of.Pricey but open 24 hours. Extremely large, expensive salads (can feed 3 people).Good location (fairly easy street parking and right above the L train).Pretty good food. I love their buffalo wings, burgers, pancakes, and the cheese fries are pretty good, too.
First time at this diner, I loved the service and the food was also good. Upon entering the diner we were told to put our name address and phone number in a sign in book before being seated. I guess that is apart of the covid tracking, however; all-around nice experience.
Finally went after years of living nearby just to discover that Kellogg’s is refusing to check vaccination cards or enforce mask mandates as some sort of clown faced political statement with a side of manslaughter. Disgusting behavior from a place that serves truly disgusting food.
The waitress and the busser were nice but the hostess was very rude as soon as we came in. We asked for a table for 4 because we were waiting for one more person to arrive. She told us she wouldn’t seat us without everyone there so we’d have to either order right then or wait outside for the forth person to arrive. We agreed to order without the forth person. We were waiting for the food to arrive and she came over to our table asked if we ordered we said yes and then she screams out in front of everyone “make sure they’ve ordered already” and marches to the back to make sure we’ve ordered. She gave us dirty looks for the rest of the time we ate. The restaurant wasn’t even busy and had several open tables. Could’ve gotten better tasting food at most delis in bk too. Cashier was also rude. Waitress was nice and apologized for the host’s behavior. Weirdest experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant ever.
Reading through these reviews and Im actually questioning whether I went to the same diner that these people are talking about. This place is hilariously bad.The cheese fries are actually just frozen frenchies with 3 Kraft singles microwave melted on top. Imagine orange shrink wrap on yellow packing peanuts. The Rueben was open-faced, if you can call it that. Imagine two pieces of white bread on a plate with meat tossed on top, some melted Swiss cheese squares microwaved and tossed on for good measure. And you can forget about the Russian dressing.Im also fairly certain the servers entire family died the day we went. Either that or he makes a habit of throwing drinks, straws, and plates down on the table as if Id just spat on his child.Honestly everyone should go at least once just so they can feel abused and leave an equally terrible review.
This is a true old school diner. I havent been to a diner in so long I forgot there menus have like a thousand things on them and Kelloggs is no different... Lol but I hand chicken an waffles it was really good. Chicken was a little salty but just for me but I dont even cook with salt so it could have been just well seasoned 😜. Over all cool place relaxed vibe service was a little slow and it wasnt even full but its a diner not really expecting much.
Highly Disappointed..To whom It May Concern,Today I placed a take out order (#2509 Jan2321 @01:41P) of 1 Chic Fingers, 1 Waffle Fries, & 1 Mozz Sticks. Being born and raised in Williamsburg for over 40+ years, I must say I was highly disappointed at the food I received today. Not only am I disappointed at the quality of food, as well as the quantity i received but also the pricing. The (Five) chicken fingers I received were not only bland but under cooked. My order of Mozz sticks ( $10.45 for only four sticks) was also bland with no marinara sauce. The waffle fries were harder than a NYC high school math problem. All and all I understand we are all going through rough times, but I felt the need to share my level of disappointment.Sincerely,A Lifetime Local Resident
Came in with a bunch of friends after a night out and they gave us the biggest booth available and as more friends showed up they were quick to add two more tables to fit us all. All the food came out at exactly the same time and it was all fantastic. Very nice staff and management which added to this exceptional dining experience.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Our waitress was extremely rude and brought out parts of our meal at various times and told us to relax when we asked where our side courses were. We also asked for boxes to take our leftovers home and instead our waitress insisted on doing it and threw in the leftover bread in a plastic bag with our leftover food. The food was average however, the service will ensure that you never want to come back.
My friend and I ordered fries and a milkshake. The fries were cold and soggy. The waitress, who specified and made it known that she was Greek, made racial remarks and acted as though we did not know English. Mind you, we were born and raised here. She stayed by our table the entire time and listened to our entire conversation. She then asked where we were from and rudely asked Do they not have taxes in ___? when asked about tax. VERY RUDE! Overall, food was ok, but service was TERRIBLE. (this is pre-Covid, but the customer service was so terrible I had to make it known).
I just liked the fact that they were open late. I was craving some fries and a milkshake really late. I tried their peanut butter milk shake and thought it was too thick and sweet. I wish the vegan diner nearby was open really, it wouldve been better than this place. Judging from the portion of food my friend got, it wasnt a lot. I was expecting a generous portion like most late diners. They gave him a few pieces of bacon and a couple small pancakes. For the price, I dont think its worth it and the food looks dry. If youre in this area, try another late night eatery.
This place has been a neighborhood staple for decades. I dont know if its open 24 hours, 7 days per week anymore or not but when I used to work there in my twenties it was. Since its been redone it seems to be a hipster Haven. The food is good and the service is nice but its pretty pricey for a diner. The area is not the best, you still have a few miscreant looking people wandering around. My experience this morning was a little shocking because the glass that runs along the booths was cracked and they used clear tape to tape it. Also my teacup was completely chipped on top. You would think a place that makes so much money would be able to fix something thats broken or at least have cups that are not chipped. I will go back again but there are better places to dine. I only have breakfast here every now and then.
Im really torn on this one. The food was average. I ordered a spinach, ham, and cheese omelet with a side of bacon. My server was fantastic as was the person who seated me.The woman who rang me up, however, was horrible. I had seen and heard her seating other folks, and I have to say if she had been the one to seat me I probably would have left. She throws the menus on the table, says sit here, and walks away. Shes just rude. And then she kept calling for another employee, who when I looked appeared to be doing something, and when she walked up to the register she was rude to her too. This woman wears so much makeup she looks like shes prepping for her skit in the circus. So if you work there you should clearly be able to figure out who the problem person is.
Im convinced this place continues to stay in business only because its open 24 hours. We were seated right away, water and a menu came in 11 minutes after, our order was taken 24 minutes later, and we couldnt flag down a waiter. Anyone we spoke to would just look for another waiter/server.Also cheese fries were just fries with sliced american cheese on it which then just went into a microwave. This place was a 0/10, if Im being honest.
Nice weekend brunch special with coffee, mimosa, fruit and a decent diner breakfast. Food was fine. Omelette cooked a little heavy, coffee adequate, mimosa pulpy. But for a convenient brunch its a nice, friendly, diner experience. We had a weird unstable table that kept wanting to spill things.
Visited NewYork for the first time and was on the hunt for the traditional American diner. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and French toast which were a total dream. Our waitress was lovely and helped us to locate a few places nearby which was really useful. We were seated straight away and the food cake really quickly too. Thanks guys!
Okay, so this place is a staple in my life. Its pretty much a must for after drinking food when friends and I go out in Williamsburg, and were not the only ones with that idea. It gets packed here most nights a bit after 2 or 3AM. The staff know this. Theyre not supremely friendly but theyre fast, efficient, and know what theyre doing. Tip these guys well. The food is great, try the burgers. Its all solid, above-average diner food.My only complaint is that it seems like the place becomes cash only almost every weekend. Not a huge deal though as theres always a sign and theres an ATM right in the entryway.
I really enjoyed there peanut butter hot chocolate. The staff was helpful and friendly. Nice environment to get a late night coffee and hangout with friends after the barcade up the block. The food was well served and had no complaints on anything for a group of about 8 people, all the food came out just as ordered.
I wanted to rate them five stars. But my colleagues found a hair and some skin flakes in his orange juice. We asked to get a second glass and we were met with disapproving looks. We also came in when the restaurant was empty, and we had to flag our waiter down multiple times before we ordered. Mine you there are two hostess. Utensils were not washed cleanly. Sad to leave a bad review but I had to.
This diner is definitely a rip off. We are seated very swiftly by a hostess. We are given water and then asked what we would like to drink. No mention that refills are not free. So after we both order sodas we ordered our food. I ask for a philly cheese steak wrap and fries. he said its a little extra which ended up being four! Food was decent which is why I am giving this two stars and not one. We get our bill and for fries a medium size wrap and a soda is $20!? I mean I get it, its new york. But the diner wasnt in good condition, the food was sub par, and the waiter only came by 3 times in the hour we were there. With my tip it came to be $23 which was the same price i spent at this fancy ass restaurant down the way a bit. I will never be back and i dont suggest you go either!
To the people leaving negative reviews, try having a soul, as difficult as that may be for you. NYC restaurants are getting destroyed by Covid, it is not difficult to understand that they may drop the ball once and a while. This is a great place, great hard working people. Have some empathy and support your local businesses.
Xmas day and I called to ask if they were open, a lady with an accent was so rude on the phone. I asked her nicely if they were open (to confirmed since I frequently travel from far to this place) and she spoke so fast I couldn’t understand and hanged up the phone on me. I called back and asked again and she said she didn’t have time for me to answer my questions! Lately I noticed their employee are ruder and ruder. I only give them two stars cause their food and some employees are actually nice.
Food was really good and fast. However out of 7 employees visible we had to wait a long time to order because the manager who assigned the waitress didnt notice that she was preparing and eating her own breakfast and we were forced to wait. The other 6 employees we too busy chatting to take care of the only 2 tables that had customers. Overall if you dont care about the wait or like to do some nagging this is a place for you.
Typical late night diner experience. Vast menu selections, fast service, and delicious food. The crowd leaves something to be desired, however if youre looking for a place to eat after drinking in the area, this one is as good as any. Good for large groups, too.Cash only late night I believe.
Our waiter wasnt very personable, she didnt seem too enthused to be there or helping us, which I guess shes entitled to. However, as someone who works in the customer service industry I think a smile wouldnt hurt your tip. The portions were big and the food was decent, nothing to run home about but tasty enough to satisfy 7 drunk adults! We wouldnt avoid the place if we were back in the area but we would endeavor to visit other eating establishments first.
NEVER GOING BACK. I’ve been on more than one occasion but this last and final visit; Half of my plates that were ordered never came or the wrong order came out. When we told the waiter, he said ‘No, no we didn’t order that, we ordered what we received!’ It was 5 of us all knowing the correct order but the 1 server said we were wrong. Which makes sense on his behalf because gratuity was included, so it didn’t matter if we received the correct order, if our food was cold as soon as it came out, or if they made a cappuccino that was just really coffee with whip cream on top. Never going to waste my time or money again. Thanks.
This was a favorite for my family once upon a time. The food was ok. Nothing how it once was. The hostess yells Go Sit on that side without seating us. No flavor to the food. It has gotten more expensive. The waitress was great but overworked. This was my last visit here. Sorry but Id rather go to McDonalds.
I went there on Sunday for brunch and it was easy to get to near buses and trains. The wait was short the service was good do waitresses and waiters whats friendly and entertaining while were waiting even though it was a short wait one of the staff there gave my nephew cards to play with while we wait which I thought was really nice.Although it seems very busy the service was quick and attentive I had the western omelette with cheese toast home fries would have side of sausage links which I must say Ive been to several diners and that is the best omelette I had in awhile everyone else enjoyed their platters as well my sister had avocado omelette with cheese and my father I believe had the Reuben sandwich and he really enjoyed it. On top of that they really know how to make a cup of coffee.
Typical diner with typical average diner food. It wasnt bad but nothing special. The wait isnt long, the staff is very nice and theres an ATM inside which is very useful since the place is cash only. Its good if its late and everything around already closed otherwise I wouldnt go back. Seems very popular with NYs finest, I counted at least six police vehicles parked outside.
I never been to a restaurant what served me food on a dirty plate. A few of the items thats I ordered came back incorrect. I asked for scramble eggs and it didnt come scrambled. The silverware wasnt clean never went to a restaurant that I didnt have plastic utensils. First time I ever went to this restaurant and the last time i will never go back after the horrible experience I had this morning
Be careful coming here, especially late night. I came here at night, ordered nachos and received a plate full of chips with a tiny side of guacamole. When I said it wasnt what I ordered they proceeded to debate with me on different types of nachos they had as if it wasnt obvious what Id ordered and that they made a mistake. Im sure the night crew deals with some ridiculous stuff but we were treated like garbage, like it was our fault, and not given any sort of refund. In fact, the night manager came over and instead of having courtesy with customers, he yelled at us. I thought of this place as a nice neighborhood staple, especially for late night food, and Ill probably never be returning because of the way we were treated. Management needs to take a hard look at how they treat customers and if a menu item is debatable they need to clarify upon ordering or fix the menu.
Bland and tasteless food, horribly rude staff, tried to charge us EXTRA, JUST to dine there once.. this woman seriously tried to charge us $6 a head just to sit in there. We had been there before, and this wasnt a thing.. Also asked other customers multiple times weather or not theyd been charged... Of course not. The waitress also asked us to leave our belongings at the front or OUTSIDE, as though we were entering a store we might shoplift in! How ridiculous. The food is insanely overpriced and overall pretty poor quality. Weve been all over the menu, too.. They probably serve better food at Rikers Island. Dont waste your money or time here.
Late night soot perfect to get that breakfast before you home. Writing based on what I saw from an early morning breakfast on Monday. Mostly everyone was still arriving from Sunday parties and eating the breakfast sandwiches and bacon they have to offer. Great staff. Very accommodating even when super busy if you are patient and show you understand. No you dont know the chef and no you dont know the manager. They are doing the best they can to wear you where you can actually order the same night. Let the staff so their job and youll leave a happy camper.
This place isnt for everyone. Its for folks like me who like an old-fashioned traditional Diner. All the menu items are well prepared hot and quickly served. The place is quiet in the menu is Broad enough that the entire family can find something to eat. Yesterday I had eggs benedict. Today I decided to go for the western omelette with homemade picante sauce added. I dont know their coffee brand but its a great flavor. The servers are very friendly and I had no trouble getting seated. Its Memorial Day weekend and ratings slightly and the attendance is down a bit this morning. Being in Brooklyn it is open 24 hours a day almost of the surrounding restaurants dont even think about offering breakfast till about 10 a.m. my kind of place!
I used to eat in and the food is great but the service is awful. I just tried to make delivery and they hung up 4 times on me. First I was waiting to talk to someone because a woman wasn’t capable of answering a small question “how long will delivery be”, “how much is the delivery”, “did you take my order”. These are all rational questions to ask but why did I have to ask them all on 4 different times of calling you? I don’t do reviews because it takes a lot to write my opinion but damn! Also they are always out of pecan pie, especially when I need it.
The place is great. The food is delicious and the waitress is good. But the cashier at the front had an attitude for some reason. I got my check and waited on my waiter for a while. I got up and asked the cashier do I pay here or pay at the table? She said you can pay here or there or dont pay. I was like um okay and paid at the cashier. I honestly dont know why she working at a place that deals with customer service.
Terrible owner! Had a nice meal here with great service. Ordered the apple pie to finish and our server got us a little whipped cream on the side. Next thing we know the owner is yelling at our server over the whipped cream and fired the server for wasting money. Won’t eat there again when they treat their staff like that
Im writing this review as I finish a decent cup of coffee on a brisk day. The diner is about 30% full. Unfortunately other than my coffee, the food and service were less than ideal. My scrambled eggs were cooked much too long and my bacon although plentiful was quite greasy. I will never return.
Came across this spot by accident, were visiting from Ireland and wanted to try an American style diner. Food was great, our waitress was really nice and it is great value. Our only surprise was how large the portions were, we ordered more than we could eat, a nice surprise of course! Were staying in New York for the Summer and will definitely return.
You must have a credit card or debit card with a chip. Prepaids are not accepted here. Basically, cards with a chip or cash.Great atmosphere for an old diner. People constantly in and out, food is delicious and very healthy portions. Desserts by the slice, bowl, or scoop looked mouth watering. Would definitely go back.

2022-06-03The diner is a good place to get a filling meal for a decent price. With its close proximity to the buses and subways the restaurant is in an excellent location for travelers. The bison burger was overcooked for something thats supposed to be cooked medium. Nonetheless I would be willing to give this place a another chance. Perhaps their other items on their menu would be better.

2022-02-07I had the brisket tacos and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious. The brisket was tender and juicy and the portion was big, I could only eat one. The waiter was extremely nice and attentive. The only reasons Im not giving it five stars. First of all $2.95 for a diet coke! Although there was a nice syrup to seltzer ratio. The front of house -- two woman were both nasty. That should be addressed.

2022-05-01We really wanted to experience the American diner - and its actually not so easy to find, anymore. And what a good surprise to find Kelloggs diner, during our walk through Brooklyn. Atmosphere is so authentic, service is welcoming and friendly, and I could have my black coffee/eggs & bacon pancakes. Delicious and generous portion. They also have nice veggie options, wraps, salads and nice choice of cakes. 👌

2022-05-30Hear me out, if you want an authentic american diner, being a tourist, this is as authentic as it gets. Sure the place is not brand new and shiny but the waiter was really nice, and the food was really good. Had the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, with a cream cheese bagel and fresh coffee. Delish ! When I come back to New York Ill go back to Kelloggs Dinner :)

2022-04-04So its 6am the woman at from desk not very welcoming and not well groomed. There was only one customer in the place and one server. It took 12 minutes to ask what I would like. Server was behind me and talking with the woman from up front. I turned around gave them a look like whats up. Finally got some attention. Food was just OK. A cross from me there was a cart filled with dirty dishes. Do you think someone could have cleared it. Well off to the mens room. Big mistake.Floor was wet and no soap or paper towels. Photos to follow. I hope the owners read there reviews and take action. Sorry for my rant, but at 6in the morning this diner should be spotless. My booth was to the left of cart.

2021-11-12This place is amazing - just what I wish a Brooklyn diner to be. Get Sandra as a server; she works during the evening. Food is great; I love their Deluxe French toast/pancake order - I will definitely be back!

2022-03-28I have been here before but for breakfast and it was well prepared. this time,, I had the Bison burger. considering the type of burger, the pricing was decent. only reason I didnt rate a 5 for this experience was because I ordered it medium well and it came out medium rare. there is a difference..lol. they were not packed o. a Saturday night which was cool but when we were leaving the crowds were coming in . I would recommend
