I went to Ken after a Chevrolet Dealership quoted me over $7400 to fix the problem causing my check engine light to come on. I needed this light off in order to pass my inspection. I dropped the car off at night as instructed. Ken calls me extremely rudely in the morning as we had miscommunication about where to leave the keys. After that rocky start, he calls me back and tells me he thinks he can fix the problem for a little over $500. I say great, lets do it. When I pick the car up, the check engine light is off, and tells me I need to drive for 50 miles. Great! I bring it back the next day after driving 90 miles, hoping to get my inspection done. He tells me it isnt ready and berates me for being frustrated. He tells me I need to put more miles on it. I brought my vehicle back after I had driven 150 miles, and decided to bring my boyfriend with me this time. I asked him to check and see if we can do the inspection as Ive driven three times what he told me to. He completely flies off the handle and calls me disrespectful, how hes offended that I would keep coming back for an inspection. He was offended I brought my boyfriend. He called us stupid as we left and told us to never come back. Ken- you have the absolute WORST customer service. From the way you talk on the phone, to how you act condescendingly to your customers, and seriously? Calling people names? I sincerely hope you go out of business.

After going to 3 other local shops for a simple tire change and being told over 2 hours at Mavis, come back in an hour at another. Then the icing on the cake, Rowland Street Garage couldnt manage to change a tire til Monday!!After all that I found Kens. He was not only able to change my tire right away. He took the time to explain there was another problem and the reason my tire went bad so quickly. He was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable and wasnt out to just get money out of me.He explained he is open 7 days a week and has been for I think he said over 20 years and his excellent customer service is one of the many reasons I think why. I will continuing to bring my vehicle there from now on!!

Called to see if ken could work on my truck that broke down and would not run. He told me “yes bring it in, I work on these kind of trucks all the time”. After three days I called to see if he had any information for me and he got mad and told me to come get the vehicle and was making up BS excuses of why he didn’t look at it yet. I found out from the tow truck driver that came back to get it that he did the same thing to him before and he would not work on the truck because it has some rust on it. If you can’t fix a car that has a little bit of rust on it then you obviously are not a decent mechanic.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE..

Ken was a genuinely nice guy. He really stands by what he sells, and my car was in *superior* condition driving off the lot. I will suggest to anyone looking for a cheap car to go here. I looked for months until finally deciding on my awesome little 01 Subaru Legacy. Definitely will be returning.

My family has gone to Kens for a number of years. My mother bought a van from him and my sister bought a sedan. Recently my fiance brought her car there with a broken shock/strut, as well as a blown tire. Ken replaced the parts, as well as throwing in additional shock and strut on another wheel. He even replaced the tire with a new one, instead of a used one for the same price.Great service, and when my newer car is no longer required by the warranty to bring it to the dealer, I will have my car serviced there as well.Update: 9/29/2018: Ken looked at my car, without charge, determined that it needed transmission work and recommended a shop that works exclusively on transmissions. He is very professional and I will continue to bring cars here to be worked on.

This guy is a total loose canon. I went to ask for a donation for a fundraiser gift basket - Ken proceeded to scream & yell at me so loudly, a man who was pumping his gas stopped and entered the office to check on my safety. He openly referred to low-income families as dummies who should stop making kids that they cant take care of and high-risk seniors & vets as people who shouldnt be so lazy that they cant help themselves. Ive never gone there for car repair but I used to go for gasoline -- never ever again. Every single member of our community should be appalled by this behavior, not only was he completely unprofessional but he clearly doesnt care about disrespecting his customers. Folks, go somewhere else!

Had 2 used tires mounted and balanced truck was pulling right before tires. balanced so good that I can do 75 no vibrations and let go of wheel I messed up and gave him 2 same directional tires but thats all I had unless I wanted to mixmatch them it was my fault about that but glad I had it done

Went there having an appointment needless to say the conversation wentbad. Ken is one rude man and very disrespectful ~ I was alone middle aged woman and felt very uncomfortable. I have never been spoken to like that. Reading other reviews he seems to have this reputation- how does he get away with this!!!! Never again will I patronize or go to this service station. Scary man!

I have gone to Kens for a number of years. Ken has always been fair with me and has replaced a number of parts on my car. He has gone out of his way to find parts for me, when asked. My sister and good friend have bought cars off his lot and they are in great shape. Currently my girlfriends car is in having work done and he has treated her equally fair.Update (9/12):My friend brought in his 13 year old car that wasnt running. Ken looked at it for free, suggested some things to get it running, and then let the car sit on his lot for a over week. Didnt charge him a dime. I dont know any other garage that would look at a worthless car for free, and then let it sit around at the shop. Hard to beat that.

I have stopped by and talked to ken and we had a great conversation and thought he was a good guy, and i was currently working on a truck doing brakes and rotors and calipers and there was a slight problem when driving with a pulsing and i decided to call him, when he answered he just said “Ken”. I described my problem i was having and if i could stop by to get it checked out and he didnt even say anything like im sorry i cant help you or said anything about did i flush all the brake lines or anything, all he said was, “Nope not Interested. Bye.” And it was in a very rude tone of voice and everything. Very rude not because he couldnt get me in or anything, just that i would be willing to pay and everything for whatever it takes but just is not nice to his customers. I would not recommend. I dont know how well he works, he told me he did everything and if i wanted to stop by anytime i could when we first talked in person and then says all this on the phone. Wouldnt recommend going here go somewhere that even if they cant do the work they should atleast be nice.
