I might not be a professional food expert BUT Ive had plenty of Indian food to know that what Im saying is very accurate. This is not the first time I get food from there. Ive given them multiple tries and its always the same. The rice tastes like its old and was reheated. The Samosas are extra greasy like it just sat in oil the whole time after it was fried. Unfortunately it was very small portions priced like its double the size.
I happened to stumble across this place by pure luck. I was traveling with my wife and family as we had to drop my brother off towards the ferry. we needed somewhere just to get a quick bite. The only thing I can say is the food was beyond amazing! I am an American but of Pakistani descent. I saw roti and Tikka on the menu and instantly thought this must be a desi owned business. The business owner was actually a very humble host and brought the taste of Pakistan to America. It felt as if I was eating in Jhelum, Gujarawala or food street in Lahore. The authentic taste of the Tikkas, lamb, beef and chicken was very well done. The chicken samosa is the best I have tasted in NY STATE! Yes in the entire state of NY! I have had alot of Indian/Pakistani food but never have I had samosas that are on that level. My wife recently immigrated to the United States a couple years back and she said the food reminded her of being truly back home. The zinger burgers tasted like Anmol Bakery in Jhelum, the Tikkas had the same flavor as Gujarwala Tikka House. And the only other place I have tasted that same authentic style samosa was on food street in Lahore. If you want to reignite your old memories of pakistan or India please pay this place a visit. The owner and my father really shared that peshawari hospitality and you can see it in their food and way of life. They even gave us complimentary Tea for my wife at the end of our meal. This place is truly a gem for halal food, Pakistani food or Indian food lovers. You will not be disappointed. My suggestion is try the chicken zinger with masala fries. And as from the grill please try the malai Tikka and combo platter! You also cannot leave without a second serving of to go chicken samosas! Keep being awesome Lucky Spice Grill!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is near my workplace, they always keep everything ready if you call 15 mins before you go their. Everything is tasty, curries, roti, naan. But a bit disappointed coz of their chicken or lamb over rice coz they use the biryani rice for this and it tastes like bagara rice but not traditional rice.
Lucky’s never disappoints! I first tried Halal from a super popular food cart in the city and was told there was nothing as good on Long Island, but Lucky’s proves them wrong! Amazing food, great portion sizes (normally I eat 1/2 for dinner and 1/2 the next day for lunch!) and great service. I love the spicy red sauce there’s nothing like it! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good halal meal!
Small Indian/Middle Eastern type food prep with fast service and wide selection of both meat and vegetarian type meals that are uniquely prepared authentically. All is done tastefully with ample portions including rice combos, salad, and pita bread. Tables are available for dining in, but orders are taken at the counter. Friendly service and priced fairly.
Upon arriving, it looked like the restaurant popped up in a defunct pizza place. We came here an hour prior close to closing time and walking into the place left much to be desired. Unfortunately we were unable to get the Indian dishes as he said everything sold out for the day. We were less than optimistic about what we might get but we decided to give it a go anyway. The chef behind the counter was extremely polite and very nice. We ordered two lamb and rice dishes and he asked us to wait 10 minutes so he could make it fresh for us. We waited and were so glad that we did. This place is absolutely delicious. If you want lamb and rice dishes like the ones in the city at the food carts, this is it. Extremely reasonably priced and the dish was piled high with rice, lamb and a salad on the side. I recommend this place to anyone out in the area who wants the taste of the authentic NYC food carts in Suffolk. Five stars!
Found this little gem, and Im SO glad I did. The food is AMAZING and the prices are just as great. My favorite is the chicken over rice with hot sauce and extra white sauce. The employees are always very kind, and they manage to get people in and out in a timely manner. There are plenty of times I come here for lunch, and the wait is MAYBE 10-15 mins. The food is always fresh, and i am never disappointed.
Nice warm comforting food, with flavors and spices out of this world! I recommend the chicken and lamb Curry dishes. However, the charge extra $3 for rice. So if your dish doesnt specifically indicate it comes with rice, then rice is extra! First time ever I get charged for rice for a dish best served with rice. Nice and friendly staff
I just went here for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the lamb over rice. It came with a nice little salad, a ton of meat and rice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was not great, but thats ok. I will definitely be going back soon.
I want to love this place because Im down for any place on Long Island with actual Spice in the name and intention. However ordered bean tacos and they gave me cold beans in my tacos from the salad bar. You wouldnt put cold chicken or beef in a Taco so why beans? Also Taco was made ahead and sat while the rest of order was being prepared so any warmth the tacos did have was gone by the time it was done. Before samosa was delicious.
Fantastic food, great prices. Best mixed gyro youll find for miles, delicious falafel, and amazing baklava, to name a few of their best items. Also their yogurt sauce is outstanding and they give you as much as youd want. Would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for great halal or even a good chicken sandwich that doesnt break the bank. Thanks Lucky, keep it up!!
The food over here is fantastic and most importantly it’s like having food at home!I am vegetarian and have so many options here. The best part is that the food can be customized based on your taste buds!Spice grill is a paradise for my wife and me!Thanks a lot Lucky bhai for providing quality food in Long Island !!!
This place is amazing, I order from the almost every day, every person at my office loves their food now too! if you like the Manhattan cart food this place will blow you mind! the quality of the food is spectacular and the people are soooo friendly and accommodating! very happy that they moved in across the street from my office!
If people thought curry club was the bomb .. you have to eat at this place . I am so glad I chose to eat here . Since I’m vegetarian this month , I ordered the dal and paneer masala and let me tell you it’s the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten . Absolutely absolutely loved it .. kudos to this tiny joint.
I come to this excellent place from time to time because I enjoy the special air that is outline this place. The personel is awfuly helpful and well trained. The service is remarkablywonderfully rapid. Most important, the food you get is exceptionaly good. I frequent many times and I was always satisfied. The payment is modest. I suggest this restaurant to to everybody.
Good food with descent price. If you are craving some good indian food then its a must visit. They even make you things thats not on the menu. All you have to do is just go and tell them what do you wannna eat and you wont be disappointed. I mostly visit here for lunch on weekdays. Perfectly awesome. 😉😉😉
Save time and money go somewhere else.. We went to eat it was uncooked food some kid was cooking had no clue what he was doing. Not only is uncooked food it took forever to come The West part is we have to pay for it We went home and eat What a waste of money They are very lucky I didnt call the health department
They recently changed owners I believe. Price went up some as I used to get chicken over rice and walk out for 8 now its closer to 12. Still tastes the same. I overpaid by a dollar on accident and kept quiet to see what happened and the money went in the drawer lol. I miss the guy who worked the counter who was extremely nice.

2021-12-13Small place, few tables, one person, but very polite and customer oriented tp be fair, behind the counter. Old and fatigued posters on the wall. The food is good and solid, little bit overpriced and Chicken Tikka Masala feeling a bit of lack of taste, kind of plane fried chicken with some souse. As well as chicken samosa. The tacos, the beef empanadas are really great.Overall, good options for the lunch at Long Island.

2022-03-05Decent portions of Indian meal at reasonable prices. Best part is you dont have to go far if you have craving for Indian food. Service is also pretty fast. Remember to carry cash as they offer discount if paying by cash. Looking forward to prices to be updated on website as they are old.

2021-09-19This is a hidden Indian Food Gem with a friendly owner.Pros:- Delicious Indian food.- Paneer Chillie and Tikka Masala are must tries.- Rotis, Naans, & Parathas are freshly cooked,- Do ask for fresh Lassi, you will certainly miss native Indian taste.- Quick fast food concept, which is good for take aways.Cons:- The USP of restaurant is Indian food, should not mix mexican grill in the menu.- Samosas could baked instead of fried, extra oil is a complete no no.

2019-07-10Delicious chicken wings with each sauce, bot, BBQ and un-sauced. Their food is delicious. Their chicken and rice is a different take on the cart version, still delicious.

2021-08-06Unhelpful, very slow staff, not clean or COVID friendly, yet, they raised their prices “due to COVID” - I would not recommend coming here for your lunch because your “15-minute wait time” will quickly take upwards to 30-45 minutes during a pickup. Also, there is a guy sitting on his phone in the back instead of helping the food prep.

2021-01-28BEST FOOD EVER!!! 1st I tried Lucky Spice Grills amazing cuisine at a wedding that they catered. I asked the Groom who he used as his caterer and he said that they are right up the street from where we worked Lucky Spice Grill! An amazing little unassuming place with the best quality Indian food. I am so hooked. Anything that I ordered was just delicious and above and beyond. And the portions are fantastic. One meal created leftovers for the next day. if I could, I would give this restaurant 10 Stars! And the service is always friendly and helpful. Keep being amazing Lucky Spice Grill!
