My daughter attended the KVU and Camp Kidville programs and had a wonderful experience in both. The teachers and staff are all so fabulous! From day one they were all warm, welcoming, and caring with the parents, caregivers, and children. Thanks to their support, my daughter easily transitioned to the drop off program and was excited to go to KVU and Camp every day. My daughter comes home singing all the new songs she learned, proud of the art she created, and excited to talk about her teachers. The KVU program was a great introduction into the school environment, and really gave my daughter a great foundation to build upon for preschool. I watched her grow and develop so much over the fall and winter semesters. She then attended Camp Kidville over the summer. She looked forward to the fun weekly themes and was so excited to see the fun new way the facility was decorated for each theme. Whether it was playing in the gym, dancing to the music of a live musician, or conducting a science experiment, she always had a great time! I just cant say enough positive things about Kidville. I am so thankful for the experience my daughter had and for the memories we will cherish!
When I first walked in I was wildly impressed by the color and layout. Everything seemed inviting. We were initially drawn in by some of the musical talent that was on staff. The more we learned about Kidville and the rest of its management the more we were excited to be a part of their world! NYC is a big busy place, finding good care for kids is a daunting task. Thank you for making it easy!
I went to Kidville UWS when my first child was 7-month-old. She grew up with Kidville while experiencing music, dance, gym, art, ballet and so on.. We moved back to Seoul when my daughter was 30-month-old and moved again to Seattle when she became 3 years old but we still miss Kidville UWS so much!!! They are exceptional! Teachers are great, cheerful, and they know exactly how to communicate with babies even though they are infants. Gym is fantastic, clean and safe. I think I also learnt a lot in Kidville. I still use songs I learnt in Kidville when I play with my children and they love the songs. My daughter still remember what she did at Kidville and she miss the classes and teachers so much.
Had a wonderful experience with Suzie for my 14 month old sons first hair cut. She was quick, efficient and highly skilled. We couldnt recommend her more!
My kids have always loved the classes there. Staff is super friendly and not much turnover so you get to know them. We dont have much time to go anymore as my Kids are getting older and in school for longer days, but they still beg to go when the opportunity arises.
The moment we stepped into the facility, we were greeted enthusiastically by the front desk, the facility was super clean and warm, the customer service was superb, the sales person that provided us a tour was very detailed and informative with all the services they provide and answered all my questions. The staff was very accommodating, they made my boys feel comfortable. I was so impressed with the management, facility, and staff; I wanted to sign up right there! And Im glad I did!
Terrible experience at Kidville. Unfortunately, the staff was unprofessional and not properly trained to work with children. I was extremely alarmed and would NOT recommend Kidville on 88th. NY Kids Club is one block away on 89th and a much better, safer option.
Besides the fact I was never impressed by how good they are, last time I had an appointement here I was running late so I called to say we were going to be there like 10 minutes after my slot, and they told me they would not be able to get the cut done because I was late and they were fully booked (mind you, last time it took them 3 minutes to cut my girls hair). The girl answering the phone was not friendly, and is this is how they value customers Ill just go somewhere else.
Good hairdresser but she resorts to letting kids watch TV to placate them during cuts. If youre fine with that then youll be happy with her.
The people that answer the phone are rude and have no idea how the program functions. My assistant and I called several times to discuss using their space for a small group of children (4) and was given a myriad of responses only to be told, sorry we only have enough space here to accommodate members. Even after we explained we would be interested in purchasing a membership to use the drop in classes. I would not recommend anyone seek service from this place unless you appreciate being treated unprofessionally

2021-07-17Could not be happier with our experience at Kidville on 88th St. for our one year old’s haircut and definitely coming back. Everything was super clean and everyone super friendly. Leona at the front desk was extremely welcoming and friendly and not only that but also flexible as she let us change the time of our appointment on the same day. Moreover, they let us play in the kids gym after the haircut. The gym has everything – so many places to bounce and roll. In terms of the actual haircut, Gloria did an exceptional job. She was so friendly and patient (it was only his second haircut!) But she also did a great job on a rather complicated haircut (it was basically an undercut). When the haircut was done she thoroughly reviewed to make sure all the details were right. Could not be happier and looking forward to coming back!

2022-02-08The hair salon is great- 5 Star.This review is for the gym and classes they currently have. Most weekends playspace isnt available and that is understandable as they have private events and Birthdays. But what is surprising is due to lack of attendance some classes are canceled during the week! This makes it incredibly difficult to sign-up for classes because they already have such a limited amount as is.Place has really changed in the last two years, even the staff is completely new- something with the chemistry is just not like before. My daughter attended from 2018- 2020 and the classes were always near full, you had more class options, it was just a busy lively kids place, and cheaper unlike now. Now the halls are quiet and you are lucky if three other kids are in class.It seems the focus has shifted to KVU programs which take up a majority of the mornings and for some reason there are less morning classes. Whatever the cause for the change, it unfortunately was not for the better. For the price packages they currently have I am considering looking elsewhere come next semester.Even the gym/playspace area is exactly the same from four years ago, not a single new item added. If you are charging more and taking away playspace classes from your monthly package then at least add a new activity or play center to the place!

2021-05-25As always, the scheduled haircuts for both my boys this past weekend (one right after another) were great. It was smooth sailing. Gloria, the stylist, periodically checked in to confirm she was cutting the way I had requested. The boys enjoyed choosing a show to watch. And when we were done, we asked for and received a good hairspray recommendation. Thank you!

2020-04-08Kidville is the place to PLAY!!! Walking through their doors you are greeted with a smiling staff, happy to accommodate your needs. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Patricia when we created an enormous balloon display for their storefront to celebrate her new ownership. She’s a local mom who truly cares about the families in her neighborhood. We consistently see an impeccably clean facility and a packed schedule of events to choose from. For birthday parties, their power team leads kids through energetic activities that keeps them engaged, parents relaxed, and everyone at ease. Come for a haircut, stay for class, and bring your friends back to party. We have a feeling you’re going to love it as much as we do!

2021-07-17The play space is awesome! Came here with my 21 month old son and he loved it! Lots of space filled with mats, toys, rock wall, foam pit and even a small zip line. Will definitely be coming back.

2017-05-09The team at Kidville Upper West Side has provided my daughter (and me!) a community of love and support in an amazing nurturing caring fun and safe environment since she was just 6 months old. Shes turned two this year (and yes we did her birthday party at Kidville of course!) and it has remains her favorite place hands down.Why? Classes are fun. Staff is excellent. The facilities are spotless. Equipment is new, well kept and always creative (zip line?? cars?? every instrument you can think of for kids to tough and play and experience! art supplies and books that are imaginative and inspire creativity).And the team that runs it is meticulous. From the front reception to the management to the teachers...my daughter feels welcomed, has been encouraged to grow, has consistent caring adult role models (very little staff turnover!) and is consistently stimulated. From gym to art to music to just free open play we couldnt be happier with our experience and the quality of the instruction.We opted for Kidville University for an alternative to day care or preschool and couldnt be happier with that choice as well. My two year old blossomed! From her manners, to her thought process to her social development to her very concrete knowledge of numbers, letters, animals...KVU was an added layer of incredible support to this working mom.One last note: It saddens me to see people leave reviews comparing one enrichment program to another. Im sure most businesses that provide opportunities for kids in this city are excellent in their own way....find the one that is best for you and your family. For our family, for so many reasons, Kidville Upper West Side, was the right choice and I couldnt be more grateful.
