While attending the Babylon Village Fall festival, my wife and I stumbled across this Chocolate shoppe. They make handmade Caramel Apples. Different coatings from pecans to chocolate chips or white chocolate . They also had dipped marshmallows and a blue of other tasty confection treats. My wife purchased a white chocolate caramel apple and a white chocolate dipped marshmallow. My wife enjoyed the apple. So much so, she is really wanting to go back and get more. They package it beautifully and all staff were warm and friendly as well.
I should have tasted before I purchased. Their fudge is $10/lb. and they do have quite a variety. So the counter girl tells me they are running a special, buy two lbs. get a 3rd.lb. for free. It all looked so delicious. With that I picked out 3 different types. So my order came out to $27.00. Im not sure what the going rate is for homemade fudge but I figured what the heck you only live once right? So I get home and I try the flavor German Chocolate Cake. As soon as I cut into it I noticed it was quite hard and had a heavy granular consistency as it crumbled. (Ive had many batches of fudge throughout my life but never encountered this kind of texture) so then I taste it. All I could taste was pure sugar with a hint of shredded coconut and walnuts. It was disgustingly sweet so much so you could hardly taste the flavor of the actual fudge. Then I tried the other two flavors. It was the same experience with each flavor. I was sick to my stomach knowing that I spent $27 on granulated sugar wedges. I blame myself for not tasting it before I bought it. Live and learn! Never again..
My son and I discovered Kilwins in Port Jefferson over the summer, he fell in love with their lemon sorbet and has asked repeatedly to return. Thankfully Babylon Village is closer to our home and we have family in West Babylon. The ice cream and chocolate candy are delicious and the village streets are charming to walk around as you enjoy your treat. We recommend visiting any Kilwins location. In Babylon Village we were given a punch card where your 10th purchase is free.
Went there around 8 o’clock to get ice cream and they were out of hot fudge and chocolate sprinkles!!! What ice cream shop runs out of those toppings? I knew I should have went to cold stone 🤷🏻♀️Wow what an attitude of a response! If you know you run out of these items a lot especially hot fudge on a busy Saturday night just make more batches!!!!!!!!! So you don’t run into this problem!😊😊😊😊
Love the ice cream and caramels here but the prices are a bit high. Definately something your gonna wanna try as a special treat from time to time but not something your average family could afford. My cheif complaint aside from pricing (i get it, premium stuff has premium price), is that when i order 3 scoops of ice cream the young guy behind the counter gives 3 level scoops about the size of the scooper. Normally at ice cream spots when you get a scoop its really a ball of ice cream made by dragging the scoop several times acorss the ice cream and forming a big ball. So yes, kilwins gives you a literal scoop instead. Meaning a $9 three scoop cup is at best the size of a small 2 scoop anywhere else. I dont know if its just this location or company policy because i think i recall bigger scoops at other Kikwins locations. Even with these issues keeping it from 5 stars I would highly recomend giving this place a try. Try the smores ice cream!
My first visit to Kilwins was great. There was a wide selection, the store was clean and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended and I look forward to my next visit. I just wish I lived closer. Maybe Ill move to Strong Island just to be able to visit more often.
3 stars is a gift... didnt have that nice sweet smell we are used to when you enter other Kilwins, the selection was weak, prices outrageous (needless to say) but the biggest letdown of all; the servers have zero personality. No reason to return here. Oh yeah, ice cream (pralines) was great, the drop of hot fudge was good too just wish there was a little more than a drop! One double cup and one single cup $25, so enter at your own risk.

2022-06-06The place is nice, it’s clean, great location, but $8.25 for one scoop of vanilla ice cream!?? come on!! I was there on pride day, went in to get one scoop of ice cream for my son, if I had any idea it was going to be that expensive I never would’ve purchased it, felt totally ripped off!! How could you possibly charge that much for one scoop of ice cream!? Unless there’s some hidden ingredient That is an astronomical price!!I’m responding to the response , I guess from the owner! Sir, it was one regular size scoop of ice cream! I should have taken a picture! Apparently I’m not the only one that was shocked by the price! Sorry, but it was NOT a huge scoop of ice cream!

2022-02-27Great small shop that makes amazing ice cream. I highly highly recommend their Georgia peach. And if not their toasted coconut. I have also tried their mint chocolate chip ice cream and it did not disappoint.

2022-02-25Valentines purchases, decent product. Little on pricey side. Good service. Not sure why they trimmed the long stem berries stems so short?

2019-09-11Excellent little chocolate and ice cream shop. There is an amazing amount of chocolate covered confections as well as a great selection of ice cream. The ice cream my family and I had tasted as if it were just made. Everything had a homemade taste. If the prices were a little lower we would have purchased some chocolate covered items, but they were a bit out of our price range. For two two scoop cups and a two scoop waffle cone it was $21. Again, a little expensive, but worth the taste.
