Kind in other cities:
We had a group of 6 for mother’s day weekend, it was very busy yet they accommodated to our seatings and give us reasonable amount of time to dine in. We enjoyed the service and the food a lot it was a little hectic to order with overwhelming amount of people but they managed everything very well. Constantly asked if we needed anything and were attentive! Loved it my dad is very hard to please but he loves thai food. We got the mango sticky rice to celebrate the day at end.
This is one gem of a restaurant in Fresh Meadows Queens, from the consistently fresh and delicious food, generous portions and reasonable prices, to the prompt attentive service and pretty outdoor dining area. I have dined in as well as taken out food and each time they did not disappoint. Keep up the good work Kin’d!
Ordered on Uber Eats and delicious Thai I must say. This was my first time ordering and all new Thai restaurants must pass the Pad Thai test... Kind passed with flying colors! The beef was real too, not that rubbery stuff some of these restaurants have, but could of given a brotha a bit more (Im a big guy folks). Otherwise, packaged well and came hot (thanks Uber driver too)!
Pleasant atmosphere, nice staff, great eats, reasonable pricing. They do this thing where instead of asking “is everything good?”, they stand close by if you needed anything. Having worked in catering, I can say this is greatly preferred for both parties, especially if the guests are having a conversationNo regrets ☺️
I enjoy the Thai food here. I had my favorite panang curry. I should venture out and try other dishes. My husband had the lemongrass tom yum soup, which was different from regular tom yum. Not as spicy. The lemongrass doesnt overpower the taste. He also had satay, which is different from what you find in Malaysian or Indonesian restaurants in the seasoning area. This is fine for my grandchildren, but I would prefer a little more seasoning and thinner sliced chicken. They seated us with enough space from other patrons, which is comforting to me. I seldom eat out. They did verify that I had my vaccination. Doesnt help those who have antibodies but are not vaccinated to get in.
Great Thai food. The outdoor seating was my favorite. I ordered Pad Thai with glass noodles and shrimp and my friend ordered the salmon. Both meals were tasty and servings were great. The drinks were good and served to perfection. I would put a little less ice.Highly recommend this establishment if you want to enjoy good Thai food and a eloquent outdoor seating. The outdoor decor was impressive. The bathroom lines were long as if we were at a ball game. The food quality, wait staff attentiveness and decor was great. The 4 star is awarded best on the aforementioned.
I came on a Friday (around 6pm) it was pretty busy indoors when I arrived. It’s pretty loud and I’m so happy they were blasting the AC because that day was so humid. The waitress was friendly and once we ordered our drinks and appetizers we got it quickly as well as the rest of our food. The food was delicious and fresh. Def coming back and my mom is a fan and it’s so hard to impress her!
The drunken noodles are really good! I love spicy hot food, it had the perfect amount of spice but I will ask for spicier when I order it again! 😊😋🌶️I also tried their red curry, its not spicy and pretty watery.Mango rice was alright, good to try once for me. Also tried papaya salad which was alright.. this gets 4 stars because the drunken noodles stole the show! So good and recommend you try them!
I went for a family celebration and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious and you cant go wrong with anything on the menu! Dont miss the chicken massaman curry appetizer or eat it with rice for a meal. It comes with perfect roti. They have a larger, unisex and accessibke restroom BUT it is up two steps so not great for folks who cant navigate that. They charge $15 if you bring your own cake but dont cut it for you.
Update:I’m dropping a star from this place. Be warned when ordering a dish with vegetables instead of meat or protein. They will not give you any veggies over the veggies that already come on the dish. Expensive for $12. Picture is of mixed broccoli dish. Why is 50% carrots? Where is the Asian broccoli? Container was half full. Pics taken before eating any of it. Scam!Original review:Very yummy thai food, friendly service and cozy modern ambiance. Loads of great vegetarian options. My favorite dishes are the garlic noodles with vegetarian duck and the eggplant and tofu in basil sauce. So good!
I’m stuffed! This is my second time here and I’ve been craving food from this place since last year. To start off, the crispy calamari melts in your mouth, and it is indeed fried to the perfect amount of crispy lines. Their curry puffs with the sweet sauce on the side is pleasantly tart. For my main course, the beef drunken noodle was splendidly spicy for me. You might want to tell the server to adjust the spiciness to your liking. Lastly, the highly recommended mango sticky rice was magnificent. Overall, the food was delicious, the atmosphere is great, service was excellent and I left with a happy full stomach.
This was actually my 2nd time coming here and again they made me very happy. The 1st time I came over a month ago was when pandemic was going down and I was looking for a location with outside dining. I called and they indicated they had outside tables. Got there about 6pm and it was not too crowded but the pickup orders were quite plenty. There is plenty of parking for all the food delivery cars to stop and pickup pretty quickly too. This time I called them on a Saturday around 720pm and they were taking reservations. They gave me an 830pm res and I quickly jumped on it. I arrived about 10 mins early and the place was packed!! I was able to actually sit down just 10 mins after the reservation which was not bad considering the table was taking their time to leave. The thin guy waiter with the black kind t shirt whom I checked in 1st made sure to check in on us every couple of mins for the table. The temperature was getting much cooler droppingninto mid 60s. Luckily I had a jacket in my car and was able to put in on over my short-sleeved shirt. Needed something to warm us up and we ordered a hot sake!! The sake came out extra hot and we were quite happy. Ordered the mango salad which is soo good. They have additions to their menu with soft shell crabs and we tried one of the dishes. The crab was warm on top of a salad with avocados and tomatoes included. Not bad at all. We shared a chicken basil dish which is always good because we were getting full since we do not eat alot. The bill was inexpensive and it is a place I would continue to return to because of their friendliness and good food!
Ordered 2 drunken noodle and 1 mango sticky rice and the drunken noodle and mango sticky rice both had hair in my food. The drunken noodle hand a piece of long dark hair and the mango sticky rice had a smaller piece of hair in it. I used to like this place and order here but after that, I don’t think I can eat here any more. It was 2 different pieces of hair in 2 different menu items so I don’t think they use hair nets…
This is currently one of my favorite restaurants. The restaurant is pretty nondescript from the outside buy quite lovely inside. The rooms are spacious and they dont over crowd it with tables. They offer lunch options everyday until 2pm. The lunch specials comes with salad, appetizer and an entree. We ordered the drunken noodles with crispy duck, garlic chicken with rice and pad see ew with beef. Everything was delicious. We ended up adding dessert even though we were full and got the mango sticky rice. It was the bomb! Cant wait to come back and try other items in their menu.
Disgusting experience. To start, place was empty but you cannot enter without temperature being taken (May 10th 2021 approximately 3pm). Secondly, the place is unclean and the metal cold chairs feel like a park bench instead of a restaurant.Thirdly, and most shockingly, they hand you a paper to fill out for contact tracing (!) or you wont be served. Mind you, NYC does NOT currently have a contact tracing mandate. Attitude on the server was deplorable, telling us its okay to fill out fake contact tracing info as long as we fill them, information does not have to be accurate. Isnt that an entitled, ironic move! When we challenged the requirements, we were denied service. (Fyi we left and ate down the block with none of the harrassment). Lastly, dont visit if you eat meat as there is only one red meat choice on the entire menu. Horrible place.
Unexpected find! Came with low expectations but left with our stomachs happy! The restaurants ambiance is great, very clean and spacious. At the time, it was packed! We ordered the curry with roti to start, which was so good, we had to order an extra roti. Then had a papaya salad and a tom yum soup. The salad was so big!We then got their pad thai with chicken and the crispy duck basil as our mains. Despite the price of the duck, it was well worth it having such a big piece! And at the end, we couldnt leave without tasting their mango sticky rice. Their mangoes tasted so fresh!A lot of the things on their menu, you can decide if you want which kind of meat in it. If you dont want any meat, they can do it with vegetables! They also offer a lunch special everyday at 12PM to 4PM, except on holidays, where you choose an appetizer, a salad, and an entree! And the price is dependent on the kind of meat you want in it. I think its well worth it. I might just try it the next time we visit.
Great find from Yelp! We were watching a movie near by at Fresh Meadows AMC. The food is fresh and tasty and prices reasonably. They have set lunch with multiple combinations, even have vegan choices, available on weekends as well. Should try their crispy duck. When we were there the AC isnt cool enough, but they compensate by refilling your ice water frequently.
Went here for lunch special from 12-4pm. Lots of choices and it comes with salad, appetizer and entree. I ordered the Bangkok wings with crispy basil duck. Food was delicious. The Thai ice tea was great. Unlike most other restaurants this one was not very sweet at all. Really taste the tea instead of sugar.
Newly opened restaurant. Both my wife and I tried out the lychee and mango thai tea but they werent as taste good as we thought. I would rather to have the regular thai tea. We both had lunch special which came with appetizer which tastes good. I did like the Duck Noodle Soup. And my wife had the Green Curry with Chicken. She ordered the medium spicy but my wife said it was still too spicy for her. But we will definitely return to this restaurant again.
I picked this spot on a whim off UberEats. Didnt even check Google reviews before ordering. I dont regret it! Food was delicious. I ordered drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice, both with chicken. Also ordered a Lychee Iced Tea. Everything was so flavorful and so good. I have zero complaints. Will be ordering from here again!
I enjoyed a nice refreshing Lycheetini, it was cool and not overly sweet so yummy.I did the lunch special which comes with a complimentary salad, appetizer and entree...but of course we ordered more apps (what can I say we love food).First up was the spring rolls and salad which is part of the special. The spring rolls were nicely seasoned and crispy.Next up was the crispy dumplings filled with chicken and shrimp with a side of sweet chili sauce. I believe this has been the best crispy dumplings Ive had so far, packed with chicken and chunks of shrimp worth every penny. As we continued to eat our way through the apps lol we also tried the Mermaid Shrimp thats topped with a Sriracha sauce topped with chopped mango on a bed of salad. Curry Puffs stuffed with chicken, onions, potato and curry powder with a cucumber sauce, the cucumber sauce balanced the spice of the curry. On to the main course of Crispy Duck on Garlic Noodles.I must say this has been the best meal Ive had so far this year and I will diffently be going back for more more more
This place has great service and delicious food. It was pretty crowded when I went on a Thursday night but we still didnt have to wait for a table. Service was very prompt and staff seemed very attentive and eager. I have the chive pancake and tofu pad Thai, both were delicious. My friend had the vegetarian duck, which is a must try for vegetarians and even meat eaters- I will definitely get it when I return!
This place was sooo good. The chicken fried rice is so flavorful and tasty! Also one of the best thai iced teas I ever had. Babe said the pad se ew was bomb. Oh and try the fried calamari. The restaurant itself is so aesthetically pleasing and the service is great, the staff were attentive and beyond nice. Will be back. Didnt get a photo of the entree because I ate it too fast.
Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. Pass on the flavored Thai iced tea and get the original instead. The starter appetizer has a good selection of items so you know what to order next time. The duck salad was pretty good. We also had two fried rice dishes though one of them shouldve been an entree dish instead. Both were good. Will have to visit again.
Really good Thai food that I’m happy I stumbled upon. The outdoor dining setup was great and it was busy for a Thursday night. We got seated right away and everything came out on time and as expected. The prices are reasonable and I’ll definitely be coming back here in the future.
This review is based on delivery not the food. There are three Thai restaurant on Union turnpike that we eat at but weve been eating at this restaurant since they opened. The food is good. My husband usually picks up but I decided to order delivery instead since I just gave birth. The deliver guy was extremely rude. He didnt even greet me after I said hello. He pushed that receipt in my face and said that I ordered $40 worth of food but gave very little tip. I tipped 15%!!! How much more did he want for a 5 minute drive? Tell me that wasnt enough? Most folks would give less than that. I also worked in the food industry so I know how things work. Its not the customers fault that you arent getting paid enough. Ask your employers to pay you a decent wage. Its not the Customers responsibility to pay your salary so your employers dont have to. A tip is a reward for good service, not a salary.
Came here on a Sat night at 5:30pm, was seated right away, tables are somewhat small but similar compared to most other NY restaurants! Had crispy dumplings & soup for appetizer, followed by green curry, fried rice, & drunken noodles for dinner. Everything was superb! The soups are better at Jaiya Thai, but this was pretty darn good as well. Very reasonably priced! Def would come again!
Nice dine in setup. Outdoor seating is available. Service was friendly and swift. Food options are normal Thai selections. Though they do have some whole fish and seafood entrees. After trying them though, for the price, Id stick to the normal Thai rice and noodle dishes. The lunch specials are very affordable and come with a nice amount of food for the price.Food quality and execution was good. All in all a nice experience and would recommend
Love this place local gem best food spot on union. Amazing lunch special friendly staff. Good quality is great I enjoy spending my money on the food here. Excellent drinks nice ambiance I take all my friends to this spot when they come to visit me and everyone like the food. So happy this is local to me kind keep doing what your doing! Amazing
I dont understand all the 4 and 5 star reviews. The service was subpar, the food was very average.I tried 5 dishes - curries, roti, mermaid, etc and they were all average and not flavorful. The curries were all too watery, the papaya salad had no flavor (and no spiciness). The plating made eating very difficult. The servers were unattentive. I guess it was their breaktime a few minutes after we were seated. The large group of servers on their break was so loud, it was hard to carry on our own conversation.I am definitely not coming back here.
The food here is phenomenal.. the ambiance was alright despite the seating being a little rustic (bordering on uncomfortable). The crowd, was a little young (think early to mid twenties) and the mood music playing in the background served that audience. The serving staff was super respectful and VERY attentive to your tables needs. The food was served quickly and portions were really nicely sized to eat and maybe save some for later.
Ordered the mango ice tea and lychee ice tea and let me just say, it was SOO GOOD! The mango iced tea tasted like mango, and if youre a tea-lover like me and dont like it too sweet, which is perfect. The mango covered the sweet parts you need it to, so its not overpowering to the point that its too sweet. The same goes for the lychee iced tea, so get that one if youre a lychee lover. We also got the Deluxe Veggie Combo, and everything was so good. The Chive Pancakes, were this perfect thing of savory and paired well with all 3 of the given sauces, the same goes for the spring rolls. The dumplings were to die for, and if I could I would order a whole platter again. And fried tofu is just always good and you cant really mess up lolWe ordered two things of Drunken Noodles, one with meat and one without meat. For the meat option I ordered chicken but either way it was so good. It was spicy by default, but it didnt change how we approached our dishes. The spicy factor was so good and enjoyable, that I literally forgot about it lol10/ 10 would order from there again
We ordered both samplers, the red snapper with garlic sauce, pad see ew, duck with fried rice, duck with curry noodles, and drunken noodles. The drunken noodles were a bit spicy for both my brother and sil. Food was flavorful. The portions were fairly big too which is great because we all got to pack some food for the next day. Our server was so kind and so sweet to my son. My son gobbled up the chicken wings with the Thai chili sauce. They have a great outdoor space as well. The only small issue is they don’t have a changing station so not exactly baby friendly. I ended up changing my son’s diaper on the floor of the bathroom. I know. So gross, but Luckily I had a portable changing pad.
If I could leave a review without leaving a star I would. I am furious about the customer service I received by this establishment. I made an online order at the top of the hour. Was told by an email that the order should be done in 30 minutes, with a specific time stated. When I arrived I saw several orders on the table and I saw trays of food being sent out to tables. The employee asked me what website I placed the order on. I told them it was their website. When I found the email receipt to show her she rudely told me she already had it. More time passed by with me standing there waiting, with more take-out orders filling the table in front of me, and more trays of food being sent out to tables, yet my order of two items was still not fulfilled. Not until the end of the hour was my order brought out, and to say I felt devalued as a customer is an understatement. There are other nearby Thai restaurants to patronize, and I would completely recommend those over this place. Also, food portions at this establishment were inadequate for the price and taste was mediocre.
Wow!!!! Perfection! First time ordering from this place and I had to make a review for this delicious food. I ordered for delivery and once the food arrived it was well packed and presentation was nice. Once I tasted the food it was perfect temperature (since delivery sometimes makes your food cold) and flavorful! I will definitely be coming back to order more from their menu. -From a happy customer :)
We really enjoyed this place! Food was very good and flavored well. We got the deluxe appetizer combo which we enjoyed, very much. It was 8 peices, 2 of each of the following; shrimp rolls, curry puffs, thai dumplings and bangkok wings. We got thai iced tea and mango iced tea both were great. My fiancée and I both got pad see ew his was pork and mine chicken, both were great! Its nice inside with modern decor.
One of the dirtiest experiences I have ever had. The amount of flies you are fighting so you can eat in peace are disgusting. The staff is not attentive, I had to get up and beg the staff at the host station for assistance. While I’m the midst the biggest fly decided to land on my food and after informing the staff they tried to tell me I was paying for food that I only took 4 bites of before having to get up to get assistance as every staff member ignored myself and my child when we kept saying excuse me to get assistance. And instead of being understanding the manager wanted to debate back and forth between myself and a staff member before finally coming to see what the issue was. While discussing the issue the flies continued to attack my table. She removed the item off the bill. This place has definitely fallen off they will never get my money again
Happy mouth so far! Ive had the duck with basil fried rice, beef and pineapple fried rice, wings, dumplings, all 3 Thai tea flavors, chocolate lava cake. Cant wait to try more of the menu. Hopefully it remains dependable for delicious food. That 5th star is just a matter of trying more items, but Kind will surely earn it.
Kin’d is a place where you just want to have relaxing and vibey lunch/dinner at the same time. The food was excellent. The outdoor dinings sets an ambiance that makes the dinner much more excellent. The servers did a really great job accommodating your orders and needs. I’m very glad to be here!
Best Thai food in Queens/Long Island! I go out of my way to come get this delicious treat as often as possible. I recommend the drunken noodles and green curry! Watch out if you ask for it spicy they seriously deliver on the heat, the perfect amount of heat and flavor in my opinion. Also I usually ask for a mild variation as well for any sensitive members of my party and they always are able to accommodate so everyone is able to enjoy. Really impressive! Also I gotta say, the chicken wings here are to die for! Had no idea a Thai place would make some of most delicious wings Ive ever had. Seriously considering ordering a tray for my next Superbowl party!
One of our go-to neighborhood spots. Weve been here for lunch and dinner and the food is consistently delicious. The interior is nicely decorated, suitable to bring friends and family for birthday celebrations. The staff are friendly and attentive and make you feel welcomed!
After the original restaurant we chose had only takeout, my friend and I found Kind on Google and loved it, so much so I came back with another friend a week later and took a menu for delivery. Good food, attentive staff, covid cautious, and both indoor and outdoor seating is pleasant
Searched up some Thai restaurants in the neighborhood feeling hungry, so I came across Kind. As stated in the name (kind) the workers were very kind and the food was very delicious. I have ordered 3 different entrees, the pineapple fried rice (beef), Pad Thai (Chicken), and the Drunken (tofu). Although the tofu and the Pad Thai could have been better, the pineapple fried rice was not overpowering and the ratio of pineapple to beef was good. Also the flavoring / spice was very good. All in all, if you are near the area of Fresh Meadows please come try this please. And I have too say this place is better than BKNY on Francis and the Thai restaurant on Bell Blvd.
Oh my goodness!!! I havent been to this place in person but I found it through Uber Eats and Im so happy I did. I ordered the works... Appetizers entree and dessert. Heres my order:Pineapple Fried RiceShrimp1Curry Puff1Veg Dumplings1Mango Sticky Rice1Chicken SatayEVERYTHING IS TASTY & DELICIOUS my only thing that wasnt great was to mango & sticky rice... Had a weird taste but everything else was AMAZING the portions, the flavors are all on point. Ill be back for more and Ive added to my favorites. Thanks Kind
I’ve ordered from Kin’d several times and the food is normally average. With limited Thai nearby it was good enough. But this last order was it. This is the second time in a row my pad Thai was 99% noodles with a few flecks of meat. Maybe with it being take out they figure they won’t get a complaint. I’ll start driving to Brooklyn for great Thai food at this point....
Kin’d is our favorite Thai restaurant in all of nyc. We recently moved back to queens after a stint in the upper East side and Kin’d is more affordable and better tasting. Friendly staff, quick service and menu options for everyone. Try their green curry or pad Thai. And we also love their chicken curry puffs and spring rolls. We are already looking forward to our next order.
I repeat do not order food from any food platform from this place. I know everyone has different experiences but mine is beyond unacceptable. Apparently this restaurant uses to go orders to give left overs or poorly made food away. They do not respect to go orders. There is over 400 of my colleagues that just arrived here for a IT implementation across the entire city and I have already begun to to tell them beware of ordering from this resturaunt. I ordered using door dash some satay chicken skewers and they were Rock hard from being over cooked. I literally knocked the chicken against the table and it made a noise. How awful to send someone an $8 item un-edible to eat. How would you all feel if that was you. Also the drunken noodles were poorly cooked. I was so over this I threw away my an entire meal. What a complete waste. Whoever thought this was funny to send a paying customer food this way should be ashamed of themselves. I wish I took pictures but I was so angry all I did was contacted doordash and gave them a 1 on the platform. #horrible
This place was so amazing. We had drunken noodles that were to die for. Just enough spice to keep you wanting more. The chive pancake was the best appetizer. So simple but unique and tasty. I love the texture of crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. Great lunch specials with salad, appetizer and main course for around $11 - $14. And they honor it on the weekends also which is very nice. We also got a few non lunch special dishes like the duck noodles. Crispy duck on top of a bed of noodles with some veggies that had great flavor. The service was spot on. Came and took our order right away. Food came out before we knew it. And the owner is so nice. She came over just to make sure we were enjoying the meal. Cant wait to come back again.
Amazing PAD SEE EW with beef and great PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE with shrimp and added chicken, great combo! I’ve also gone many times for their LUNCH SPECIAL- main dish plus they give you an app and a salad (around $13). I’ve also tried their DUMPLING PEANUT SAUCE yummy but eat it fast as it gets cold quickly. Had the BANGKOK WINGS that are small but tasty and the Calamari also small portion but yummy! I’ve had the THAI ICED COFFEE many times and it’s awesome!
I actually really like this place for its food and for their drinks. I drive 20 minutes to come here when Im feeling thai food. Have brought family here a few times as well and everyone enjoys the food especially the red curry. Ordered cocktails last time and they pour them with a strong hand which is nice. definitely recommend.
Simply put, this place did not disappoint! We ordered wings and spring rolls as appetizers; the wing sauce was pretty good! For our entrees, we ordered chicken pad Thai and chicken pineapple fried rice. The food was very good as well, we were not disappointed. The drinks were good as well, cant go wrong there. The service was good, and you can tell that the manager/owner (not entirely sure who she was) genuinely cares about her customers because I noticed that she would talk with people, help bring food, and refill drinks, which is really refreshing to see.Cant go wrong with this place, its also a very nice environment.
I ordered food from here twice in the same day for a commercial film crew. The food was so good and service was exceptional. They prepared all of our orders quickly, accurately, and put names on the containers as requested. We ended up sending a few others there for lunch as well. I highly recommend this spot if youre in the mood for Thai.
The surrounding area needs Thai Cuisine. This spot recently opened on Union Turnpike and to our surprised it was spacious, inviting and filled with attentive staff. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasnt too bustling. Parking can be easily found on the streets. They currently have lunch specials on everyday of the week. The specials include an appetizer, salad and an entree. Our waitress was warm and friendly. We ordered a green salmon with chive pancakes and I had the pad see ew with spring rolls. We also had a pineapple fried rice since my wife loved pairing that with any curry. The dishes were fresh and vibrant. I could taste the smokiness of the hot wok and the spices from the green curry were spot on.We will visit again. Thanks for the meal!
Love this Thai food that opens relatively late for this neighborhood. Not too many options around here and kind serves up pretty good food. Only thing is portion is kind of small for a Thai place. But the prices are great so not that big a deal. The lunch special is pretty good so take advantage of it when you can.
This place constantly lies about order times. I get in a perfect world nothing is totally accurate. But they told us 20 minute wait. We ended waiting almost an hour. When requested a refund the owner was constantly dismissive and tried to talk to others. So for almost an hour the staff kept lying saying “5 more minute” the food finally came out after almost an hour and we were so fed up. We finally got our money back after the 4th time asking and finally yelling at them. Untrustworthy staff.
First time eating here. The environment was clean and the staff friendly and courteous. The lunch menu is available every day except holidays, so the five of us are able to order from the lunch menu which comes with salad and one app. The food was great and service was fast. This will definitely become a regular spot for me and my family.
Such good food their curry puff and Tai spring roll is so good. They were my date night food during the coronavirus city shut down. I love the food. I did go to pick up my order in person and was told it’s cheaper to order through them directly then my normal Uber eats method. They have a nice vegetarian selection too.
Awesome new Thai spot!Delicious food served with a smile. The lunch special is really great here. You can come in from 12 to 4 I believe for the lunch special and you get a free salad, one appetizer and a main course all for about $10-12.For starters my wife’s ordered the chive pancakes which are a huge hit here. I ordered the Bangkok wings, perfect crunch. We also ordered a calamari salad which was perhaps the best calamari I had at a Thai restaurant, fried perfect and every piece was coated with the sweet spicy chili sauce. For main, I ordered the green curry and my wife ordered the drunken noodles and I have to say I would highly recommend the drunken noodles they were delicious. There was barely enough to go around. The only caveat here would be the portion size, it’s a bit on the smaller side. But for the price, you could order 2 specials yourself!
Their lunch menu is clutch!Whenever we had 2 services at church, wed come here after the first one, just in time to catch their lunch special. Its a great value and anything you get will likely be amazing. Everything Ivs had has been pretty amazing: pineapple fried rice, drunken noodle, shrimp pad Thai and the massaman curry. Also, the service is alway fast & friendly.
Get their curry noodles and thank me later. Never appreciated Thai food until I ate at this restaurant. I paid $11 dollars for my meal and it was well worth it. I couldnt even finished my food I was so full. It was a perfect inexpensive date night. I would definitely come back again and again. I would probably order this again and again the first few times before I dare to order something new lol 😂.
Food was ok. Most dishes missing a savory element to it. Must say Papaya salad was certainly tasty but that’s it. Green curry was just ok. Said I couldn’t have grilled shrimp in dish because of sauce, but when saw dish still not certain why they couldn’t just grill shrimp and just coat the grilled shrimp in the sauce. Woman at counter was upset I didn’t have mask on, even though I was no where near her, and was speaking in her own language when picked up food.
We came to Kin’d for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the deluxe appetizer, Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai noodles and drunken noodles. Everything was cooked to perfection. The waitresses/ waiters are very attentive and were happy to serve you. Will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!
It is here that I have had the best dining experience Ive ever had. The service was fantastic. Our server was so welcoming and attentive to us. In a very genuine way. My friend and I actually stood there long after our meal finished and the server actually came and refilled our cup of water. Not once did we feel as if we were being forced to leave. If anything we felt welcome to hang around for a while. one thing that strikes me the most was that for the entire staff sits down everyday to have a meal together. The restaurant actually closes for that one hour for their staff to eat together without asking the current customers to leave. I highly recommend this place.
The reviews for this place are amazing. However, I didnt have the same experience. Yes, its small and the waiters are nice but my food was disgusting. I had pad thai and the noodles were overcooked and resembled a bowl of mushy spaghetti. The Bangkok wings werent good either. It was a total disappointment.
The service here is on point!! One of the servers who wears a backwards Hat is so nice & On Point that he is Customer Service at its Best!! The food here is not bad at all. I would like them create a bigger menu. If one can only eat specific things then eating the same thing over and over will turn a person off to the usual food. Now, I have to talk about this as this is true life.. I LOVE Mango & Sticky Rice. I know its only seasonal but the amt of mango they give is NOT worth the $8! Do you know how many mangos a person can get for $8?? Do you?? They offer these tiny mango slices that is meant more for a child then an adult.. Please up your Mango Game!! 🙏🙏🙏
Thai Restsurant located at 192nd Street & Union Turnpike. Not too far from home for me, atmosphere is friendly with comfortable setting. The menu was packed with many selections, which made it a little hard to choose, but I did! The main course had much appeal and was light and plentiful. If you like salmon, you must try the salmon ginger, it was so delicious and even came home with what I couldnt finish. Oh the dessert was fried banana nestled over vanilla ice cream, made room for this! The pricing is reasonable, they offer take out and catering service with either delivery or pickup. Theyre open 7 days per week, ie: Sunday-Thursday 12pm-4pm and 5pm-10pm, and Friday-Saturday 12pm-4pm and 5pm-11pm. So dont delay you will be missing out on a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Now Im looking for another friend to join me, one has already been asked. Hope you fall in Love as I have.
My husband and I dined at Kind for the first time last night and we had a great dining experience! TC was our server and he ALWAYS, with a smile, made sure we were happy with everything. The food was DELICIOUS and not greasy! I very much enjoyed the curry puff and pineapple fried rice! All the staff warmly greeted us upon arrival and leaving (like they were REALLY glad we came)! I would highly recommend Kind and will be returning soon. It was WONDERFUL not to have to travel into Manhattan in order to have a great dining experience!
Our group of four was visiting the area, first time here. We came at lunchtime, so no wait. We all ordered the lunch special; good value. I had the spring rolls appetizer and spicy basil chicken entree....delicious!! One persons food came warm (not hot), but everyone elses was good. Portions are smaller than similar restaurants Ive been too, but I was full and didnt need to take anything to go. If Im ever in the area again, Id come to try the fried ice cream dessert. Clean dining room and restroom.
I like this place! They give high quality food, their menu is large, The cook in that place is very experienced, I like very much tasting all their food. The food is consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the visitors is efficient. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.

I had the drunken noodles and they were very tasty, one of my friends had salmon with rice and she loved it. For appetizers I really enjoyed the little cream cheese and crab puffs, I dont remember the actual name but they were amazing. Ill be back to try more things

2022-06-21Great experience here - owner even came to our table greet us & check in. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been too! Green curry & coconut rice is a must! Thai Iced Tea was refreshing as well. Will be back whenever I’m in NYC.

2021-09-18One of my favorite Thai places to eat at and Im not even a fan of Thai food!! I came by here last night for dinner to catch up with a friend. We both ordered the mango Thai iced tea which was strongly brewed but the mango flavor made it delicious. The ice watered down the strong taste and made it even better. We got the crispy calamari to share which was fresh and crispy and entrees of spicy drunken noodles with shrimp and spicy basil fried friend. The drunken noodles were definitely spicier but both dishes were excellent. For dessert we shared fried banana with green tea ice cream. So good! The staff was extremely nice and accommodating to us. My friend brought along her dog and they were so friendly with her and even brought her a bowl of water!! The service and the food was just amazing. 10/10!PS. Plenty of parking.PPS We sat outdoors which was so pretty and even though it started raining, they have a solid cover over the outdoor seating portion so we never got wet.

2022-05-23Used to go here all the time and then I moved a little further away and stopped going. Yesterday I stopped back in for a takeout order and it was pretty good! The place was also super packed for a late Sunday night so I’m guessing everyone’s loving it! I got the chicken spicy basil.

2021-08-18My friend and I enjoyed our girl’s day lunch today. Everything was fantastic. Our waitress, On, was very hospitable and accommodating. We had Thai iced tea, Lychee mimosa, and sticky coconut rice with green tea ice cream.I enjoyed the crispy duck with green salmon with brown rice off of the special lunch menu. I have more than enough to enjoy for dinner. Very delicious all around. My friend had chicken basil fried rice with shrimp green curry. She said it was tasty as well as she prepared a to-go bag. Her husband will enjoy the red curry with beef with pineapple fried rice later.Overall, the etiquette, the service, and the experience were great. I look forward to returning !

2021-09-18Kind has been on my bucket list for a while and we finally had a chance to try their lunch special, which was highly recommended by our neighbors as a great deal. The decor is beautiful and cozy with lots of greens & flowers around. Its also perfect for Instagram photos, which is rare around the area. Its super popular even on a weekday lunch so the wait for our order was a little longer than expected. We had 2 sets of lunch special: complimentary salad, Bangkok Wings & Fried Tofu as appetizers and Pad Se-Ew & Crispy Basil Duck for entrees. The food was not the best Thai we have ever had but pretty decent compared to its price. We will consider to visit again for a quick fix but not for a feast.

2021-10-17Came here on a Saturday around 1:30pm and was seated quickly outside. The staff were friendly and outdoor decor are pretty! We ordered from the lunch menu which is every day from 12pm-4pm. My boyfriend got their shrimp pad thai with chive pancake app. I got veggies drunken noodles and spring rolls as app. We also got their lychee tea and Thai iced tea.The shrimp pad thai had an overpowering fishy smell that bothered me the whole time. But overall everything was good!
