The food used to be the best on long Island in terms of take out. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would order from king house even when I moved 35 mins away. Sadly to say the store was sold as of January 2016. The food is absolutely terrible. Any other Chinese take out place is most likely better than the new King house. Its a real shame that this happened. If the new owner is reading this, please turn around, look directly at the new cooks that you hired and in a loud but stern voice tell them to gather their stuff and get the hell out and never come back. The next step to ensure the longevity of the business which Im sure you paid a lot for (not to mention rent, etc.) Is to contact the old chefs and beg them to return. Notice how I referred to the old staff as chefs not the beginner cooks you have working there now.People, mostly the local regulars talk and word spreads quickly. Im sure the business that king house once generated is down by more than 50% and rightfully so. THE COOKS YOU HIRED ARE HORRIBLE!!BRING BACK THE OLD CHEFS!!!
We are long term customers of King House.The place has been sold but they havent changed the name.The former staff is gone and so is the delicious food they used to make.The new food is awful and almost inedible.Raising the prices was a blow but not as much as the lousy food they now make.What a damn shame!!!!!You can go to Mr Chen while not as good as the former Kings house its better than this garbage.The gentlemen who says he goes to King House twice a week and the food is good is off base.One should ask when he went and what he had.The food there as of 1-19-16 is terrible. It used to taste good ..not anymore!!!!!!
Mediocre food, and they dont take credit (AT ALL). Staff was super rude while I tried to explain that it was the only form of payment I had. Also, the lady who normally answers the phone for orders is mean. She will yell and try to communicate that she is trying to put you on hold. Cmon King House, its 2016 step your game up and accept credit (even with a bare minimum price)
Absolutely the WORST customer experience ever,my friend ordered a FRIED RICE with Sesame chicken.after delivery,my friend called in to say they messed up the order.they put in PORK in the fried rice(being of a certain religion we cant eat pork).on top of which i open up the second plate,and after inspecting there was a BIG HAIR IN IT ..he tells them can we please get a new order.the lady on the phone argues back with my friend and says you didnt say No pork.anyways the lady then says were only gonna make a new order of the rice and the driver is driving to Hempstead,so its gonna take another hour.not to be petty but even if the pork touched the chicken we CANT have it so i decide to drive with my friend to exchange the orders out.after getting to the location we told the lady we didnt wanna wait and can we get a new order? She says no,”i give your money back” she handed us $15,which was $3 shorter than what we gave.then on top of which,she throw out the wrong food order infront of our faces..not only did they not mess up the order,and refused to own up to the mistake,they refused to service us.which is disgusting and felt like we were being discriminated.i WOULDNT RECOMMEND this chinese location to a starving person.disgusting people.

2022-02-21Excellent place to get fresh, delicious food.The restaurant is very Clean. Its even heated.The staff is very efficient, caring and friendly.They work very hard to please their customers.So please do yourselves a favor by coming to this very well-run restaurant. And, there is plenty of parking available in the back.

2022-03-29My family and I ABSOLUTELY love this place!!! I have gone to many places and this one doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. The customer service is wonderful the cashier lady is so nice, kind and has a great memory. She always asked how my family is doing and is always cheerful. If you are going anywhere else you are wasting your time.

2020-12-07Ive been to a fair amount of Chinese Food Restaurants in Long Island and I think Ive found my go to place. I bought the General Tso dinner special and the Beef with Brocolli. The food tasted amazing . The portions were large and they dont skimp on the protein. The pork fried rice that came with the combo was just as amazing. Ill eat the fried rice by itself because its just that good. Everythings always fresh and flavorful.

2020-10-18Tonight placed an order for Chicken and Broccoli. As we always do we usually place a single or two orders and make sure that what we want in them is correct when we relay the information to the person on the phone. This order tonight was a simple one where we just wanted is no oil in it. When I went to pick the order up and brought it home and opened it up there was clearly oil on it. Because of my health and needing to cut back on oil, etc... I called back about the problem and simply wanted them to make a new one to replace the wrong order. The lady that took my order and gave me it first reaction was to belittle me in that she says that I placed it wrong when on the receipt it clearly has no oil on it, which she couldve referenced. She instantly says to return the item and that she will give money back and hunged up the phone without given the option to replace it. We called back to tell her in her language, which she understands either Mandarin or Cantonese about the problem and instantly hunged up again because one of the languages she didnt understand when we wanted her to make sure she would understand us. Having no luck the order that was placed for the receipient went back and simply wanted them to replace it, but because of lady in front who thinks that she didnt do anything, first reaction is to get annoyed and give the person their money back. In theory, replacing the order than outright getting angry at the customer for no reason and returning their money would be more cost effective than losing future business from them. While everyone has opinion on the taste of the food; good or bad, customer service is important. If you fail to do that business will slowly dwindle because of the simple thing you couldve have done. No matter how good the food is, customer service was poor today. For any current and future customer that didnt have problems like mines or from other customers dont be surprised if one day youre in this situation.*To the current owners: While many customers pass by the area, dont be surprised if the one you were servicing and giving a hard time today was the previous owner of the establishment for more than two decades.

2021-03-04Been coming here for years. Quality is high for the type of food, though portions have decreased a bit during the pandemic. This is understandable- we are all doing our best in these difficult times!

2020-02-13Best take-out chinese food in the surrounding area. I pass two other places on the way and dont think twice. The prices are good and the portions are very respectable. The staff is very nice, friendly, efficient and the order is always corrrect. Personally I reccomend the dumplings, egg foo young, cold noodles. I need to try there generol tsos chicken also.
