The dumplings are so good!! Some of my favorite in the city. The lo Mein and wonton soup was also amazing.
King Wok has excellent Chinese food,and,is 1 of the last take out places remaining in lower Manhattan.I highly recommend them!
So I am, and always have been extremely, ridiculously and even unbelievably picky about rice and fried rice since I was a small child. To this day I will only willingly and happily eat fried rice from two very specific Chinese restaurants in Manhattan (International restaurants do not apply here; theyre in a whole other category and league on fried rice) and these are the only two that I will endorse for others to go and try as well. I will not name one of them here out of fairness... but...KING WOK HAS THE GREATEST FRIED RICE I HAVE HAD IN MANY MANY MANY YEARS!!!Honestly it is my new favorite Fried Rice of all time. You MUST try it! It was THAT good when I had it.
Some decent food to bring home. They do have one or two tables if you really need to sit down there for a quick bite. But basically its a takeout restaurant. I usually order a head so the food is ready when I get there.
I work at a salon nearby and decided to try it out for lunch. got their egg drop soup and roasted pork lo mein. soup was pretty good, roasted pork was alright although noodles were not to my liking. workers were kind, i just wouldnt really trust more than the soup or meat. food is kinda mediocre not gonna lie.card has a 8$ minimum.
This place is always bustling with business. Close to work, my go to for some ol school Chinese.

Food tasted fine until I found this hair embedded in my chicken. Threw out the rest. And since the delivery driver was rude as anything, I had already decided not to eat here again.
King WoK has some great food, but some of their delivery men will get bothered if you give them a 1.50 cent tip. They shouldnt feel bothered if I am a customer and invest my hard-earned money in the business where they work. I am an employee, and I would get disciplined if I try something like that where I work. King Woks supervisor needs to talk with their delivery man.

I always ordered from them on Sundays and Im always greeted pleasantly and they always come in a timely manner but today was anything but pleasant. lady that took my order was so unbelievablely rude and not the usual person i order form i just simply asked why the sesame chicken was 14.99 instead of 9.41 the lady went off. Im sad i loved that place but the lady left a bad taste in my mouth.
I used to get fried rice and won ton soup delivered to me. Now its much more expensive for standard takeout meals, and the delivery guys have an attitude. Never again.
There’s only one person working there that’s nice. The rest are very rude! Each time I go, I’m charged different prices depending on who takes my order. Food is greasy. Fried rice and lomein have a tin flavor. It used to be cheap, no longer!
King Wok is the spot! Always busy, yet very helpful staff. I miss Linda (the lady who used to be in charge), but the woman they have running the show now was always there too and is really nice. The food was good when I first started going there and its even better now. No frills, just tasty food and good service. As long as they remain open, Ill always go back.
The place is kinda small and is massively overcrowded at lunch time which is the only time I get to go there, but with around 8 people in the back finessing dishes back to back, theres never a long wait. Honestly the front lady who gives the food is always shouting the next dish thats ready youd wonder if there was an assembly line back there.The only gripe I have is their fried rice id kinda bland and doesnt have much scallions

The rice here no good too much oil general roast not so bad. But they used recycled oil to cook my meal today. I can honestly say this meal was the worst I ever had.i am very sorry I didnt order from china red today and wish I tasted before I tipped

As someone who grew up in the neighborhood and been a customer here since Ive been a kid, this is the best Chinese fast food restaurant! The neighbhorhood has changed but King Wok has been there. The people who work here and the owners are the best! The place is extremely clean esp for a fast food joint. People who say the customer service isnt great, this is a fast food joint, they get busy and you dont come here for the service. Ive always have great service and maybe thats because I talk to the people who work there. And those who dont tip the delivery boys, well tip and there wont be an issue. Delivery boys/men work hard and not tipping them is a testament to your character.I spoke to the owner and manager recently and was told they have been blackmailed by some customers ( some repeatedly come back) who finish all their food and come in asking for refunds saying they found a hair or a bug. They dont give in and these customers come back the next day to still order the same food. If there were real bugs or hair why would you come back again and eat here again. I never have seen a bug or hair in my food or at the store! Remember guys this is NY, files/bugs/rotten are everywhere and these guys manage to get an A every time by the health dept. They also told me people have been writing reviews based on food that isnt even from their store. This is why I felt the need to write the review because I spoke to the people who work there and realized I wanted to help this local mom and pop joint. it isnt easy running your own business esp not in NYC, but they do it! I never write reviews nor do I care to read them. As real born and bred New Yorker, this is the type of place that makes NY great.Get the chicken wings and broccoli with garlic sauce! The shrimp toast and fried rice. All of it amazing and way healthier than most food options; fresh veggies and meat!? I tried other places in the hood but nothing compares! I dont live in NY full time anymore but whenever Im back, I always go to King Wok.
I always get the fried wontons here. They are clean and friendly.Now 2022 and its still great
This was the foulest Chinese food I’ve ever ordered. I literally threw away $40 worth of food. The egg roll and wontons were dripping with grease. So much the bag was wet when it came and it’s not raining. The wontons had an odd brown powder on them too. Tasted terrible. I asked for the chicken and broccoli with “light sauce” and I was pouring out the excess grease in the sink. The chicken and broccoli was also horrendous. Waited almost an hour for this too. #neveragain
Great basic Chinese food. Its cheap, its not the fastest delivery, but the veggies are always fresh and cooked tender/crisp. And the fried tofu is really good. Cold Sesame Noodles are delicious. My go-to place for inexpensive good food when you have that craving
Went there today and got sweet & sour chicken with pork fried rice, and while the food tasted good i ended up getting very sick a couple hours later. I think i have food poisining and thats the only thing ive had today before getting sick so the place is definitely not sanitary
I was recently visiting New York with my family. I asked the hotel we were staying if they had any take out menu.They gave us one from king wok,we ordered food from them every thing was delicious we would recommend king wok to everyone.
This is eating on the run. If you want that sit down, atmosphere go to a place that charges $15-$20 a dish. I order and go to the Pier to eat. F foods good price is Manhattan price. Close to village, a plus for me.
Just finished my meal and I need to give this place a thumbs up! Great service, sweet lady at the counter and fresh delicious veggie dumplings! Chicken with vegetables and chicken with broccoli also tasted good.
Great Food and great service. Only one little problem! Theyre very cheap with the sauces. If u dont tell them to give you extra ketchup or soy sauce they wont give u any.

Made a order waited almost 2 hours for it.. had to track them down twice and when I received the order it was incorrect plus I got no silverware ... claim it was a GLITCH.. but a waste of time.
King Wok pollutes the neighborhood by stuffing their menus everywhere, including in newspaper boxes. With this style of messy, illegal marketing, how can you trust their food is made with integrity?

Ive affectionately referred to her as Screaming Lady as she used to shout your order back to the cook line. Theres a digital order system now, so she doesnt scream as much any more. But its quality American Chinese Food, run by a delightful lady.

The food is horrible for 12$ take out my shrimp with chili sauce had 4 shrimp . The sauce was ketchup. My pork fried rice had maybe 7 slivers of pork . Do not eat here
Dont let the loud voices and large group of people scare you from the best take out Chinese in the area. You might feel like theyve forgotten you amongst the continuing orders being taken. This team has things under control ALWAYS.
Theyve been there a long time. I usually eat there if Im in the area for work. The food has always been consistently fresh and tasty.
Just tried this place out. Even being super hungry this place was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The chicken is dry and very bland. There is no flavor at all! So disappointing! There is no flavor in any of the food I ordered and I ordered a bunch for a group of people who felt the same way. I total waste of money! We will never order again!

2022-08-04Ive had a lot of Chinese take out in my life and this is one of the best ones in terms of quality and affordability. Lots of people in these reviews complain about the terrible customer service but lets be honest with ourselves: who goes to a Chinese take out restaurant for customer service?! For the record, I see the same lady every time I go for lunch and shes always very friendly and polite.This is what you want for lunch!

2022-06-17A co-worker of mine recomended this location to me. I am not a big “take out person”. However, I genuinely enjoyed their sesame chicken and vegetable fried rice. The spot is a pretty common looking chinese take-out restaurant. Please do not go in expecting a dine-in experience. Overall, great service & good food.

2022-08-13Today 08/12/22 I odered a delivery at 8:33 pm over the phone, the man taking orders was RUDE,NASTY and Very UNPLEASANT screaming on the phone, bedside manners NONE. If I could give 0 starts for sure I give less than 0, if you work in a place where you have to be dealing with customers from everywhere at least have a nice person taking orders as a face of the restaurant, he shouldnt be talking to customers like that, its not good for the business take him out of there... BTW the lady who have been working for ever there shes very nice..always

But unfortunately, that’s usually the case with these places.. If you are looking for a quick bite of Chinese Food. Then ahead and order. Best advice, is to keep the conversations short and concise because the customer service is absolutely terrible

2016-09-02This is the only Chinese fast food in the area near my office. Its usually pretty busy so I figure it must be OK. So far 0 for 2. The first time was for young chow fried rice (eg, everything) and today was chicken and shrimp combination. On the plus side, it was freshly made. On the minus side, it was bland. I guess the lesson is, dont order the very last item on the lunch specials menu. Im going to give it one more shot and then sayonara.
