The beach has made very many improvements. Bathrooms changing room etc. Its open from morning till dusk but the problem I had was they lock the bathrooms before dusk. Some people using the beach including myself wanted to use it and they locked it before it was time. Other than that it was quite pleasant... Much improved from years prior! Plus they had a couple of food trucks there too! The picture is a kite that looks like a bird which was cool! 😎☮️🦅🏖️
That isnt a picture of rotary park, that the beach across the street. Rotary park is beautiful place to sit and relax and look out over the Hudson River. They have a pavilion you can have a gathering under. Picnic tables, a few grills, frisbee golf course next to it. Right next to that is 2 dog parks, 1 for dogs under 30 pounds & 1 for large dogs.
Beautiful views and plenty of picnic tables on the rail trail overlooking the Hudson River and lighthouse. Dog park can feel empty at times and the city really needs to fix the parking lot which has been half flooded for over a year now. With some love, this park would be amazing!
I love it here. This park is actually a lot bigger than it looks, with parts of the park on either side of the road. There are small pavilions, beach volley ball, kayak trips, bmx bike, ball fields, playground equipment, a dog park, a trolley, and plenty of picnic tables. Ive been going here for years for various events pretty much all year around
Real gem in Kingston that doesnt look very polished when entering from the parking lot but once you get past the ball field and the dog park you are richly rewarded by groves of blooming lilac, provided you visit in May, beautiful view of hudson, picturesque picnic tables in the grass and a little walk along the old rail lines around a bog with a view of 19th century Saugerties lighthouse.
Beautiful park , kids can run , xplore , skip rocks , and wade in water , run up hilks xplore the ga zebows watch big vessels go by, skip along the old train tracks , see eagles collect rocks , crab shells , fish. eat andmany pic.tables , play frizbee , and all without any video games or such and its thier fav.park even without kids amusment rides they all reslly live it there.

2021-08-13Nice little beach on the Hudson. A picnic shelter & bathhouse are at the parking lot. Theres a ballpark across the street & more picnicking close by with a covered shelter & lots of tables & benches...a lot of benches. You can take a walk along the old railroad tracks that hug the Hudson to take a look at the lighthouse in the middle of the river. Not clear if the tracks are still used. Maybe by the trolley museum close by? But there are picnic tables along this trail, too.

2020-11-25Visited late on an overcast day during the ‘Rona so the park was empty, but one can imagine it teeming with people during warmer weather with no ongoing apocalyptic pandemic. There is a contraption for “frisby soccer,” footpaths, gazebos and a baseball field with dug-out and bleachers. Convenient parking for roughly thirty vehicles. Some attempt was made at artistic sculpture, but it looks unfinished or else in ruins.

2020-02-06Lovely park. Theres a large area to bring dogs. It has a short 9 hole disc golf course that wraps around the park. It has both open and wooded holes. Definitely for beginners, but a lot of fun nonetheless. There is also a rail trail attached that has beautiful views across the water to Rhinebeck.

2020-06-30Parts look a little rough but this place is a gem. The old metal gate is straight from a spooky halloween or horror movie but what lies beyond it is really gorgeous. There are rock outcroppings, bridges, river side paths and plenty of paths through the woods.
