What a nice bar. Friendly. OK prices. I cant understand why no one is ever there.
Oh me oh my..!! I felt like i had a when Harry met Sally moment as soon as i took my first bite! The bread...so crispy on the outside warm and yummy on the inside. I ordered the half rack of ribs with a loaded baked potato. OH MY! They did NOT disappoint. My sis & her husband had the spinach and artichoke dip with chips and the fried haddock with sweet potato fries. They gave it 10 toes 10 fingers up good!

Took forever for a waitress to come over. Then she takes our dinner order and I had to mention drinks. My wife ordered a Pepsi. I order a Jack and Coke. My wifes drink comes and mine does not. Waitress say they dont have Jack, so I ask for Jim Beam and Coke. Our apps come out and I still have no drink. I went to the bar to get my drink and the bartender say that your. It was a shot of Jim Beam. I got up and left.
Food was good a little under seasoned for me personally
Got a birthday steak, asked for it medium and it came super well done. It was about 1/4 thick so I don’t even see how it is possible to cook such a thin steak any less than well done. Mashed potatoes where on par with I stand potatoes from a bag. The broccoli was the best part but even that was cold. Kirbys used to be better.

I went two weeks ago. Food was good. Service was slow. The hostess was rude and would not bring a bag for the meal to go. Fast forward to tonight. I called and ordered my food. The woman who answered rushed me through my order. Then told me the price which was wrong and it would ytake 5 to 10 minutesto prepare. Are you serious? I can do that at home for free. Never going again.
We have been here twice this month. Once with friends and once for a birthday dinner. Both times, we had good food and good service. On your birthday, they give you a free steak dinner or money off anything you order off the menu. I like their happy hour at the bar, with their two for one. I love their prim rib and their BBQ is very good as well. Our favorite special is the pot roast, but they dont have it very often. This time we had the Pork Tenderloin. It was excellent.

Amping up Kirbys to my son for his birthday realy put my foot in my mouth..the worst experience..understanding covid protocol we expected to wait and deal with new stuff,but not that bad...3 lifetime football players youd think we would be seated with some care or thought. No! We got the smallest both ever and a foot from the bathroom. Our waitress was ok, but we couldnt get pass the dreadfully cough every 3 minutes.. the food was 5 out of ten. Definitely not the Kirby I once knew.
Their staff was well accommodating for our family dinner. Our server kept on top of our needs without intruding our conversations. The selections fit a variety of our dietary needs and choices. We were allowed a casual time to enjoy each others company and the good food. We decided the this place will be a tradition for us.

Went there Saturday, may 8th. The service and the food was excellent, however the hostess was Absolutely unsuited for that position. Completely unfriendly, obviously disinterested in presenting a pleasant demeanor. The manager should certainly address this matter immediately if he wants repeated patronage.
Food was bad. Very under cooked. The man in the booth across from me would not stop staring at me. The sevice was good. Will not be back.

The bacon, cheddar cheeseburger was great! Fresh coffee! It was really good. We enjoyed our dinner.
Waitress was very good & nice. The only thing that needed to be addressed was whoever cleabs the table isnt doing a very good job. Food was great too
My wife had the wedge salad and the broiled haddock, and I had the prime rib. The fish was completely underseasoned. It was very fresh and well cooked, but the lack of a simple sprinkling of salt before it was cooked made it flat and tasteless. And, of course, salt after the fact just makes it salty, and not seasoned. She and I both had baked potatoes that had been held FAR too long. On the plus side, there was no lack of either butter or sour cream. We both had asparagus, which was well cooked and well seasoned. I had the prime rib, which was cooked and seasoned properly. Our server was great, absolutely no issues there. A very mixed bag.
Bartender is awesome! The wings were good, I ordered the steak and lobster.. the sirloin was a tough cut because I got it medium rare but still tough and the lobster was delish. Ill be back :)
Wife and I had a fantastic dinner. Our server Matt was outstanding. When I realized that I hadnt given him correct info about my salad, he took it back and fixed it. He was very busy but very attentive.
Had to get up and ask for a server after 20 mins of waiting. Finally got our drinks a half hour later along with the food shortly after. 2 out of the 4 items we ordered came incorrectly. The server came to the table 4 times the whole time we were there and would set the food and beverages down and walk away before anything was said about the messed up orders. One of the worst servers Ive ever had
Ordered the shrimp scampi and the rice was way under cooked and the shrimp had barely any flavor!Sent it back and ordered something different ( pepperoni flatbread pizza at two pieces and found a hair so I left and ordered food from somewhere else was so discussed never going back
Overall a very good experience. There food was very good. I just would like to see the management ensuring that all of the staff wear their face masks properly. Having your nose uncovered is the same as not wearing a mask at all.
Sister and brother in law were served spoiled food. Both almost got violently ill at table. Waitress was great, Tammy. Manager came to table and apologized and removed their meals from bill, but didnt help their feeling so sick. Will not go back.
Our server, Tammy, was very friendly and outgoing. Our meals were served promptly. They were hot and delicious.
The portions are fair and always done to perfection. Clean, neat and orderly. Plan to get there a little early or late to avoid the crowds. This is my wife and my all time favorite neighborhood bar/ restaurant. GREAT VALUE, GREAT FOOD and again, I have never had a bad meal. I hope to continue visiting Kirbys fir years to come... Our waitress is amazing... she was very attentive to our needs. Shes also a very attractive, and had a sexy smokey voice! Great eyes, and Ill be hard pressed to stop thinking about her for weeks to come ;)
Service was terrible, a table seated after us was served before us. We skipped an appetizer and each ordered a main course steak and chicken teriyaki with a ceasar salad and the 9oz sirloin with cheesy bacon potato bites. His salad came out but not the bacon potato bites. Another couple that came after us got served before we were. The waitress never came back to refill our drinks til our food was ready. So there were my potato bites with a very very generous dollop of sour cream and chive. Much to my surprise there was only a few crumbs of bacon, and the cheese sat in a glob at the bottom of the dish AND it was burned a few were ok at the top what was left was inedible. The steak was ordered medium came out a bit on the rare side but still good. It had a nice crust and good flavor and the French fries were nicely done. The other meal came out with the steak unevenly cooked and not cooked properly to the order too well done the crust was thick His mushrooms were cooked well and he enjoyed those the mac n cheese was ok but nothing to write about. Very disappointed was a favorite restaurant for a long time.
Seems to be a hit or miss situation at this Kirbys. Our first visit found good food and poor service. Concerned manager promoted second visit with good food and good service experience. Unfortunately third visit disappointed with good service and not so good food. Not the best track record but some nice menu options when good.

I visited on a Friday night with friends. The place was very busy. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. Service was prompt & attentive. The server was amiable. Food was good & reasonably priced. Warm bread was served soon after we were seated - yum.
More hits than misses. Usually we have a good time here, the food is usually great. There have been times we have been disappointed, but not lately.
Tried Kirbys in Westvale last night. I guess its been decades since Ive been there. It was lovely inside.When our server took our beverage order (we both ordered the same cocktail) she informed us that it was 2 for 1 but at the bar only. Cool that she let us know, not cool.that we had to open a tab at the bar separately. I dont understand why restaurants do that.Typically when you order a steak with two sides, the sides are usually on the small side . Not at Kirbys. He ordered soup and baked potato. The large bowl of broccoli cheddar soup looked homemade and smelled delicious. Its prepared with generous pieces of shredded chicken in it. Perfect consistency and not watered down. My ceasar salad was a great size and fresh and crisp and not overly dressed. We both ordered buttered mushrooms with our steaks and were served a mound with more than enough for mushrooms with every bite. He ordered the 9oz med rare, and I the petite medium. Both cooked to perfection.(I have steak, shrooms and mashed potatoes for lunch today!)Ive driven past a thousand times. So glad we decided to stop in tonight. Great dinner, lovely atmosphere and great background music. Attentive friendly staff.
My food was cold,although the waitress was nice. It was my husbands Birthday. I believe I ordered a hot Turkey sandwich with gravy. Also,I never received my water with lemon and no ice.

Overall worse meal we have had anywhere in a very long time. It had been a year or so since our last visit to Kirbys and it just sounded like a good idea. A Monday night, quiet meal for the two of us. All was good until the main meal arrived. I had ordered the Pot Roast and my wife ordered a steak with Sweet Potato Fries and Squash. It sounded so good. The steak and squash were good. The fries were in the frier several minutes longer than they should have been. The Pot Roast - with a rather strong beef bullion based gravy which was also on the mashed potatoes - yuk. The Pot Roast itself had an interesting and yet not particularly appetizing texture.Needless to say it will be a very long time before we return.Edit: this also offered us a both an experience with explosive diarrhea.

Not very good wait but staff. The few times that I where has the suggestion go it seems like I get this one waitress and she is not friendly at all... Shes always rushing me to place my order.and I tell her just to wait a few seeing What you order. And I get talking to my niece and The Time slips by..... We are just trying to enjoy ourselves. Then when its time to get the check. She will drop it off then she will wait 10 to 15 minutes before she comes back around to my table to pick up the money so that I could get change.... What does she expect for a tip when you are so rude and just such a just a inpatient waitress..... Where it is a suggestion on the percentage on what to tip. I did not follow that. I decided to give her just to give her a couple of dollars. Try to do the right thing. But gave her some kind of tip . Which she was very lucky to be getting even that.from me. I really did not even want to give her anything at that point.... But I dont know the food is actually really good prices are a bit high. They also offer an unlimited soup and salad which is very good I have gotten that a few times. Then she looks at you when you need a refill excuse me... It is unlimited.... Maybe that particular waitress should not be working there cuz if she is off tips she cannot be getting that much. Then I notice the people that are sitting right across from me actually knew her.... Wonder how their service was with her.... Sure it was delightful.... She told her I will see you later to hang out.... Was like what... !!!!! Was that?????. Thats why I waited forever for my check....
I’ve been to Kirby’s several different times and was pleased each time. The food is your typical American restaurant fare with a variety of proteins, salads, and specials. Service can be kind of slow depending on the night you go, but you’re still in and out of a good meal within the typical 2 hours expected for a sit-down restaurant.
Love that place but made the mistake of eating in the bar area. Too noisy. Wonderful Shrimp cocktail, French Onion soup broth was too strong and salty. But,. Ill be back for RIBS and again for a Reuben
Excellent. I ordered steak and lobster. Price was fair. It was quiet in there at 830pm on fathers day. But just the way I like it. Service was great too.
We had a nice server named Lora tonight, it was our first time visiting & the food wasnt nothing more than meh. I ordered the Lobster & Steak, my boyfriend had the stuffed haddock with rice and broccoli! the broccoli was probably the best out of both dishes, my lobster tail was very dry, the steak got tough as it sat on my plate, my baked potato was good, my boyfriends rice was very hard & dry ....his fish was okay he says.. the broccoli was yummy for him too.... Im just not the kind of person to complain about my meals but when the receipt called to critique the food, I had to let them know. the service was great from a server to another server.... but probably wont be back, I just wanted to check this location off my Syracuse food bucket list.
This is a very nice place to dine or order take out. Food is fantastic and staff is friendly.
Lets be honest here. What are we gonna expect? Nothing. So its all good. The food, the people, the kids crying and screaming, defiantly a good place. Okay but honestly one major major complaint I have happens to be mostly.. okay, completly is the ear defining screaming of small children. Also having kids who are messy come up and touch you isnt fun either. So, people, dont bring your kids. This place could so easily be 4-5 stars but its almosr always just those kids... they kill it. *sigh* when did we forget about proper social etiquette...... (?)
The fish special was pretty good along with attentive service it was a good supper stop! Probably the minus for some would be the low lighting, but not low enough where as seeing people using cell phones to read the menu!
A friend of mine and I come here for get together. We ate so much good food and the atmosphere was great. They have a great chicken dinner and thats what Ive always gotten.
I was disappointed, my prime rib was paper thin,thought I was getting a childs portion. For the price, it was not worth the money.
Our server Meghan, was the star of the evening. The food was good, it s the same at all the Kirbys restaurants. The rugs all around us where we were seated with a wheelchair patron were dirty and made me feel like the place was filthy. Our 4 desserts we all old and stale, I would stay away from the cheesecake, key lime pie, and thier chocolate chip pie with ice cream. The mini hotfudge sundae wasnt special but probably the best out of the bunch.

Went to the Kirbys in Fayetteville yesterday for Mothers Day had a very bad experience never got my steak and lobster. My husband took me to the one in Westvale tonight for dinner awesome service and the food was great I will never return to the one in Fayetteville ever again.
Been going here since I was a kid and my daughter now loves it. Its dark cozy and food is usually solid, really good bread served as well.
Unfortunately I cannot give it a good review. I ate there last night, got the roated turkey. It was not tender, the gravy was from a jar and the mashed potatoes were from a box. I was very dissapointed.
Kirbys is one of our favorite places to go for birthdays dinner. You get a free steak dinner on your birthday, or equivalent discount. The menu is a typical Steakhouse and American cuisine. One of my favorites is the Chicken Teriyaki. The prices are reasonable in a wll-maintained atmosphere. Definitely a good value and worth a try.
Good NY strip steak. Baked potato hit the spot. Nice atmosphere. Free steak on your birthday. Complimentary warm crusty bread with meal
Dinner last night confirmed what I felt the last time I was there. Prime rib was awful. Very tough and was served cold. Brought it home for my pups. Waitress wasnt very friendly. Sorry but you need to step up the prime rib.
Waitress was phenomenal, lunch o.k, the butternut squash soup was bland and the salad was more iceberg lettuce than mixed greens. I should have ordered dessert and coffee alone.

We hadnt eaten at Kirbys on months. Yes of course they changed the menu. Hubby had prime rib and he was testifying how great it was. I tried The Wood Pile. It was a lot and it was delicious. Pulled bbq pork with sauce on top of a huge mound of cheesy fries, green onions, diced tomatoes. Served with 2 types if cheese; Monterey Jack and Cheddar. If you are hungry and want to try something new its delicious.One thing my husband and I agree on the portions vary with the cook. He or she was super generous with our meals! Thank you, Kirbys!

Kirbys is a well rounded restaurant. Good for a date, a casual dinner with a friend, dinner with a group or family celebration. Food is diverse with many choices. The bar is away from diners. It can be intimate or casual. Enjoy

This restaurant was a good choice for social distancing. The smaller tables were built secluded and physically isolated from other patrons.
They are open 4-8 when called at 12 pm the reception said open. they are just interested in playing games with customer.

2021-10-24Went here on Father’s Day and had a bad experience, came back in October and nothing changed. Everything was cold, the meat was lukewarm. The steak was terrible quality and not cooked right (asked for medium well, the picture was what I got). The fries were cold and super greasy, you could literally squeeze them out. Stone cold scallops. Flat soda that was FILLED with ice. The server was horrible. She clearly couldn’t count; gave us wrong amount of straws and bread plates. Never gave us more bread, practically screamed in your ear when talking, and kept touching my sisters shoulder. She was very invasive. No napkins, no ketchup. This place was good in the 80s but is so low class now. STAY AWAY!

2022-01-17Really old school. Food was okay. Service was okay. It was clean from what I could see (its super dark in there).Update: We went again with friends and it was better than last time. Still old school. It feels like a hotel restaurant in a higher priced hotel. But the service was really good this time. I had the Reuben. It was okay. The bathrooms were kind of filthy. It looked like they need a good deep cleaning. White film on all the walls and streaks (soap?) on everything. Generally felt dirty. The restaurant was clean though. Prices were okay.

2022-05-08They were very busy but the food didnt seem fresh. The fries were lukewarm and not crisp at all. My food seemed to have been cooked ahead and sat under a heat lamp. Overall not terrible but not great.

2022-02-18Treated my husband for his birthday on Valentine’s Day. Its been awhile since we ate here (pre-pandemic), but the wait staff was friendly and food was still delicious. As usual, Husband had his double rack of ribs, and I had the seafood platter.

2021-10-01Kirbys Grill is one of our favorite local restaurants, serving steaks, BBQ ribs, seafood, chicken, burgers and sandwiches. Start your meal with one of their delicious soups (French onion, mushroom, or New England clam chowder) or with a Caesar side salad followed by the 9-oz Kirby Sirloin with a baked potato or french fries. On Mondays in the summer, they serve a lobster roll which is the best weve had anywhere, including Cape Cod. Service is always friendly and efficient.
