He went above and beyond to make it a transparent and smooth process. Christian is very knowledgeable about the functions of the cars and helped me to understand all of the features. Just purchased a 2022 hyundai tuscon n line, the experience was fantastic my sales person Ahmed did a fantastic job with getting me a great price, very patient, courteous and even went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied, I felt comfortable here after and purchased the vehicle flat out, will definitely go back here and recommend others to go as well.
Koeppel Hyundai is very good. The salesman who handled the sale, Ahmed, was very responsive and made a tricky situation work out well. I live in Jersy City and it was well worth the trip to Queens. They are a bunch of liars and scam artists. They tell you to come for service every 7500 miles because their synthetic oil is good. Come today for service and they tell me that my car never had synthetic oil and for me to get it I must pay 70$ for the service. I have been trusting that they have been looking out for my best interest while they have lied looking to not giving me the right information. NEVER COME TO THIS DEALER. Buyer beware.
This is a review of Koeppel Hyundai but of a salesperson in particular.Jan Carlos (JC) provided a great experience from start to finish.Usually when we go to dealerships we have to get our guard up and prepare for battle and a prolonged engagement.JC was friendly and approached us with a smile from the beginning. He initially provided a great demonstration of the Tucson’s feature of being able to remotely move the vehicle from an app and then standing in the way of that vehicle as it stopped on its own before striking him.He started with a show and then told us about the unique aspects of the SUV. Generally people feel comfortable buying from an expert and he displayed his knowledge in a low key manner.We took a test drive and the mood was jovial and laughs were in abundance. He pointed out more options and the difference between trim levels.JC was generous with his time and never rushed us to make a decision. When we told him the other brand we were considering, he never bashed the competition, but told us to take the time to compare before making this financial commitment.He didn’t waste our time with the typical back and forth theater of talking to the sales manager and then showing us a new lower number after each of 5 trips.He gave us a real number that was in the ballpark and a copy of the sticker so we could know the specs and find out insurance costs.Jan Carlos was zero pressure and in addition to sales representative, took on the role of advocate making sure we made the best choice.He reminded me of a sales person I encountered as a twenty something in the 80’s.My parents were looking for a used car and I needed a much less expensive one as well.He gave us both what we felt were good and honest deals.He said something that took time for me to understand.He said, “I don’t want your money, I want your business.”He wasn’t looking for the quick score where he got his large commission at the expense of our being taken for a financial ride. He wanted our repeat business and for us to tell family and friends to go see him for their next car. JC understood this concept.We’re still deciding but I know we will visit him again and definitely tell others to use him.How many people write a good review before they even buy.JC was that good. It was a refreshing experience and we never had to put on the armor and fight.Whatever you do Koeppel Family, take care of this guy and give him a raise.
I recently bought a 2022 Hyundai Sonata Limited from Koeppel Hyundai. Jan Carlos Morillo known as JC was my salesperson. He promised he would assist me if I had any problems. Two weeks after I bought the car, my radio speakers started to go in and out. I brought it to the service center as per JCs instructions to have it repaired. The first time I went no one told me I had to check-in once I gave the service person my car key. Two hours later, I went to the representative to get an update and that is when she said I need to check-in and that I had to come back the next day because it was too late. I went back the next day, this time checked-in, but they didnt have the radio in stock. They reset my current radio and said it would be there in a few days. JC said he would call me. He never called. I tried to reach out to him several times, but he never responded. Four weeks later, now my heads-up unit went dead, I had to call, and when I stated I wanted to return the vehicle, JC magically appeared and called. He said the radio came in and once it was swapped, everything would work. I bought it in for the radio to be swapped and JC was very patronizing. He thought a cheap cup of coffee from the bodega would solve everything. Radio was changed but heads-up display was still not fixed. Without, the heads- up display there is no speedometer so you cant tell how fast you are going. Now, they had to order the new part. Two weeks later, I came back to have that done and JC was very unprofessional and called me a troublemaker for wanting my car fixed. He said I should file a lemon law grievance. I was deeply troubled by that comment and tried to speak to the owner, but no one was around. I should not have had to bring my car for service 5 times after only one month of purchase. Koeppel Hyundai are really good at being condescending to their customers, but their customer service and service technicians are horrible. This staff is being ran very unprofessionally and the service mechanics is uninformed. I run my own business and would never treat my customers like that!!!!
If zero stars was an option I would choose it for Koeppel Hyundai.My first bad experience was when I went to inquire about purchasing a 2019 Kona and the salesperson told me Theres a down payment for that car, forget about it and pick another. Those were his exact words. A couple of days later another salesperson tells me that the Kona is actually available. When I looked up the vehicles history on carfax they had updated it to include an accident. Maybe thats why the person that put the downpayment (if it was true) did not buy it. I ended up buying a Sonata at another dealership and today I took it to Koeppel Hyundai car service and had another bad experience. The represenative told me I had to pay $80 for oil change and car rotation because the car was still showing up under the previous owners name. I told him I was the new owner and could show him the bill of sale and car reg. He said that was not possible and told me to take it to the dealership where I purchased the car. He did not offer to help or provide alternatives because my car still had the previous owners name. They dont seem to care for professional customer service at this location. I dont know where it stems from but it shows a lack of respect, responsibility, and professionalism towards the customer. I hope upper management reads this review and can better train their staff to develop good customer service skills.
So I have been waiting for my Engine to come in . I went to the dealership to speak with the General Sales Manager Onofrio Aitizio. He informed me that the parts had come in and that they were currently working on my car as we spoke..He informed me that the car should be ready no later than Monday morning. Mr. Aitizio and his Sales Manager Mr.Jose Concepción were a pleasure to deal with,they were friendly and extremely curtiois. I recommend this dealership highly. 5 stars.
I just picked up the Elantra N 6MT today from them today and despite the crazy market we are in, I found them to be the most reputable and reasonable dealership to work with. They were the only Hyundai dealership that would agree on a price over the phone rather than force me to come into their dealership without any guarantee they had the exact car that I wanted. Any dealership that makes me go on a wild goose chase is dead to me and should be dead to you for wasting your valuable time. I cant thank Christian Colon and Lulu Hoppe enough for looking out for me throughout the entire buying process. In my opinion, Koeppel Hyundai is the most reputable and competitive dealership I have dealt with and I am very pleased with the end result.
Recently purchased my 2022 Palisade at Koeppel Hyundai and I want to thank SAM SALFITI (Dealer Sales) and HAEZY BARROS (Internet Sales) for making the process as transparent and easy as possible. In todays car market it is a nightmare finding a great deal on a popular car like the Palisade and this team delivered as promised. I would definitely recommend Koeppel Hyundai and ask for Sam!!!
I bought a brand new Hyundai Elantra 15 years ago and its still going. I live in Queens and have used Hyundai dealerships for the past 15 years for routine maintenance as well as most repairs. About 7 or 8 years ago I stopped using Hyundai of LIC due to bad customer service and was inconveniently traveling to Long Island during that time which gave much, much better customer service. I recently decided to give LIC another shot being that so much time had passed and was hoping things might have improved during that time. Im glad I did, as was pleasantly surprised to find out that not only did things change for the better, but I must say they actually went above and beyond expectations and I will now return for future visits and not be inconvenienced to travel to Long Island. From the cashier Mannone (who was very helpful, friendly and upbeat), to the manager Alenka, who showed a genuine interest in making sure I was happy and satisfied, to the entire staff who appeared to enjoy working together, thank you for making me glad that I decided to give LIC another chance.
Today my car hit 100k miles and I never had One problem. The guys over at Long Island city Hyundai are great 👍🏼. Mainly the car is so reliable, sporty and luxurious. I can hands down say Hyundai is way a head & better than Nissan, Honda or anything in its class. I bought an 2016 Hyundai Sonata sport and I will recommend anyone and everyone that’s in the market for a car in this price range.
The service is horrible its not a service it is a disservice the service Manager never calls back I have been leaving messages for the Service Manager to call back since Thursday 6/23/22 and here we go Sat 6/25/22 she still has not called me I spoke with the Mamager Jose he sent her a email as well as several other customer service reps who sent emails still no response !!!! SMH AMD NO DEPT COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER THUMBS DOWN ALL THE WAY FOR KOPPEL HYUNDAI ON 44th st and Northern blvd
I had my first complementary maintenance done at Koeppel. Base on online reviews, I chose their service center over one closer to my home. They exceeded my expectations. Christian U was my service advisor. He kept me up-to-date and informed. When I let him know I had work later in the day, he got me in and out in timely manner. Ill definitely be coming back for all my future service needs.
I purchased a vehicle at Koeppel and worked with Jan Carlos Morillo (JC). I was extremely nervous going into this unknown territory. JC explained everything from beginning to finish. He was extremely patient and professional. He made my experience relatively easy and worked out whatever hiccups along the way. We had the best experience with Ahmed ...The customer service was impressive he went out of his way to find something to meet our every expectation. Driving a new car off the lot with insurance tags an a great future connection has been one of the most enjoyable experiences Ive had with a dealership in my entire life. Highly recomended
I would strongly recommend others to not interact with this dealership. I purchased a certified pre-opened Hyundai from this site last summer. Their pricing practices are unethical and misleading in order to get you in the door. Additionally, they handled my in-transit license completely unprofessionally. In hindsight, I would have rather taken care of all DMV issues but that option was not made available to me. Finally, and this is the worst offense, I found out months later from another Hyundai service center that Koeppel Hyundai never repaired the safety recall on my car, despite the salesperson telling me multiples times that they did. They knowingly allowed me to drive away with an unsafe vehicle. Horrible, horrible standards all around. Steer clear of this dealership.
If they tell you, sure come on down from 12-2 we can fit you in without an appointment, take names and who said what because its not true. Got there and guy checking vehicles in tells me I have to go in and talk to the office because our vehicle is isnt on his list (mind you, my husband call more than once to confirm its to take it in). Go into the off... manager says were backed up, you can leave it (she doesnt give any time frame).Take notes with names and who said what, if they ever tell you to come down from 12-2PM. Theyll give you the run around and waste your time.
Writing another review because my first one was removed. I had the most unpleasant experience of my life at this dealer. I traded in a car for a new one, and the dealer attempted to steal the spare tires from my trade-in car. I was lied to, yelled at, and generally belittled for trying to claim my property by one of the most unpleasant sales people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I would rather crawl a mile through broken glass than return to Koeppel.Over the week and a half of phone and email communication, I was repeatedly lied to and misled. When I showed up in person, I was again lied to.I was told that the tires were stuck on the car due to a missing lug lock key, so I provided photographic proof that the wheels didnt have locks.I was told that they didnt recognize the lug nut, so I told them it was a spline drive, a very common aftermarket lug nut.I was told they didnt have a socket for a spline drive, so I brought one with me when I visited the dealer in person.When I arrived, they told me they couldnt take the wheels off the car because their service department was closed. When I said I would do it myself with the tool I brought, they told me the wheels were actually already off of the car.When I asked for my property back, they told me I needed to pay them $225 for stock lugs, which cost $30 retail, and far less for them as a dealer/supplier.In the face of such rude, obstinate, dishonest behavior, I finally gave in, and purchased a $25 set of lugs. They gave my tires back. The manager I was dealing with responded with a condescending, wasnt that easy??.Buying a car should be a fun, exciting experience, but Koeppel Hyundai made it miserable. I left feeling tired and assaulted by the non-stop aggression and dishonesty. It felt like they were determined to punish me for not laying down and letting them blatantly steal from me.I have contacted Hyundai corporate and filed a complaint, and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I only hope that this review saves someone else from being subjected to these crooked, serially dishonest swindlers.
9 months ago I purchased the brand new 2022 hyundai tucson. It was a gift to my wife and she absolutely loves this vehicle. The reason why I am writing this review is because of the service that was provided today February 07 2022. I have asked my wife to please take the car in for a service maintenance and after several asks she finally decided to bring the car in. What would usually would be a pain to do based on my many years of dealing with dealerships and I usually bringing all my cars to my own mechanic to do oil changes and tune ups although all my cars are brand new and usually dealerships promise free service I have learn that not everyone will honor that. Well these particular dealership did. From the minute my wife drove in her car she was greeted by a representative outside and she was treated with respect almost as if she was buying a brand new car eventhought it was just a regular oil change she was brought in and introduced by a representative named Christian Ungurean who made the whole process extremely easy I received constant text messages from this gentleman and my wife received a call after the car was done. They were able to change the oil, provided a wheel alignment and even filled the windshield wiper fluid. I find that this service is worth to mention because not every dealership will do the same, most of them will give you a run around and will take the whole day to do a simple oil change. Hyundai Koppel of long island city deserves my business and will continue to refer anyone to this particular dealership. Thank you for taking care of my wife today I truly appreciate it and you have earned a long term loyal client. My next purchase will be the hyundai palisade and I will give my business to you. Fyi. I forgot to mentioned the maintenance was for free just like they mentioned when I first purchased the vehicle. Keep up the good work and thank you providing best in class service. 👍
We had such a pleasant car buying experience at Koeppel Hyundai. The dealership as a whole really outdid themselves in terms of service, demeanor, timeliness and a great deal. Everyone we met with from the sales manager to the finance guy were genuinely friendly, kind and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. We are most impressed with our new vehicle, Kona electric. We upgraded from a BMW, which seems like an oxymoron but in all honesty Hyundai has advanced hybrid and electric technologies that rival higher end brands. We will most certainly tell our friends and family to make the switch over and do so at Koeppel where we were treated as part of the family. Thank you, we appreciate the superior service!!! 💜
I don’t normally post reviews but I had to at least give credit where credit is due. I Purchased a car from Koeppel Hyundai a few months ago and I love my Hyundai Elantra!! When I owned a Kia I used to see a lot of license plates with Koeppel Hyundai on it and figured they must be something popular and said well next time I purchase a car I’ll go over there and browse. Months later my KIA was totaled out and I went on the website to browse and do my research. I originally was alittle hesitant because of horror stories I use to hear about dealerships and how they try to add on and sneak all of these fees and I felt as a new driver I couldn’t compete, but I went in anyway with an open mind. Immediately as I walked in JC made me feel extremely comfortable as he showed me the different vehicles for my situation. I didn’t feel pressured or feel like he just wanted the sale, he was very personable and open to questions and gave me just good vibes. I test drove the Elantra and fell in loveeee and I knew I just had to have it. To show you how relatable JC was he made sure to sit me down and let me know what I was getting into and made me assess whether this was a financial move that would make sense for my situation asked me all the hard questions before signing anything. He gave me raw and uncut advice and I have to say over the few days it took to get everything settled JC has become like family. His line of communication is impeccable, any questions I had about the car or the process, he made sure to get back to me SAME DAY no matter the hour. Peter as well played a hand in getting me my car and also made me feel superrrr comfortable so chill and took time to explain everything I was signing. I would recommend anyone who’s interested in purchasing a car or just to browse to see what’s out there just ask for JC!! the down to earth customer service is one you have to experience when making such a big purchase.

Koeppel Hyundai is the fairest car dealer I know in the tri-state region who does not exploit customers with an addendum/ premium when all others I spoke to were cashing in, citing semiconductor chip shortages!! They have transparent and fair pricing, Ali from their sales team is a STAR who walked me through all the fine print, price, availability, options, etc. To this day, Ali continues to charm with his service-driven attitude. An e.g. of exceptional service was a couple of days after the storm, my car that was refusing to start, and the first person I thought of was Ali, who assisted me step-step even though after-sales support is not his job. Salespersons, in general, have a bad rap of selling and forgetting, but clearly, Ali does not belong in that bucket!! May your tribe grow.
Just got a lease through Hyundai, Sam treated us like family and always had our best interest in mind. Let us drive multiple cars and was very helpful through out the entire process with explaining every feature. Best service Ive ever had at a car dealership. I cannot come up with all the words to express how wonderful Ahmed was. He is a kind, and respectful gentleman. In all my years buying, selling and now leasing cars have I ever come across anyone who I felt was truly looking out for me. The process of getting a new car is always exhausting, and nerve-racking, but Ahmed constantly reassured me that everything was going well, and I would be happy at the end. And he was right.I have to also mention that the finance manager, Peter, was also the most pleasant person to deal with.
Wished they had told me the day was going to be full serviced and take more than usual. Also I am still waiting on my spare FOB key that was never handed to me when I leased the car to fully purchasing. I have asked and now they are charging me for it since it was not asked on a timely manner?
Recently I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Tucson with the help Ahmed. Being new to the car sales world, it was a pleasure working with Ahmed. He was able to answer and explain any questions I had with the car and the finance process. I was able to get a fantastic deal considering covid, the micro-chip shortage, and limited inventory. If you are considering a Tucson or another Hyundai, stop by for a test drive and ask for Ahmed.
Very dissatisfied with the service here. I went in on Saturday May 29 to look at cars and potentially purchase one. After a sit down with the sales representative and his manager, we finally managed to get the paperwork set and had me purchase a car. Due to it being the weekend, they told me to come back on Tuesday morning at 9am, which we agreed on considering I have to be at work after, they told me the process would take 30-45 minutes to finalize the paperwork and I would be good to go. I put down a down payment just to secure the car until Tuesday morning. On Tuesday morning, I went in and both the sales representative and manager told me that they would not be coming in until later that afternoon and they were unable to finish the process due to a change in their store and I would have an update by noon. At noon they told me I would not be able to purchase the car for what originally was that I had another car signed under my name, and then the reason changed to their DMV representative not being able to process any paperwork that day. I was told that I would have to wait until Thursday for a potential purchase but there was no certainty. I requested a refund of my down payment while dealing with managers who stood by the main one arrogantly as if they did not need our service.This is my second negative encounter here, I had assumed that given the time between my first one back in September of 2020 to now, there would have been some change in the customer service, but I was deeply disappointed to see that they have not changed.I strongly recommend going to another dealership with proper customer service as opposed to this location. Needless to say, i was able to go to another dealership that same Tuesday afternoon, and leave with a new car with zero hassle that Hyundai gave me.
Worst dealership ever. My son traded in a car towards a new car and after all the papers were signed and deal was done, the dealership tried to keep a second set of tires. After a variety of lies as to why the car dealership could not remove the tires from the trade-in car, and my sons threat to call the police, the dealership finally gave him the second set of tires they were trying to keep. Terrible service, terrible (or non-existent) ethics, thoroughly unpleasant experience. Never deal with these people.Followup: I called Mr. Jknoesel a week ago per his request, but no call back.
Sitting up on the managers platform, above the common folk (a/k/a customers), were a few very rude, most unpleasant people. When I asked one of the men to step down to the showroom floor so I didnt have to bend my neck to look up, he huffed -- descending the two steps -- and continued to treat me as though he were doing me a favor. Ironically, at $3,000 over sticker price, I thought I might be doing them the favor.After having twice texted a copy of my current vehicle registration sticker, hoping to expedite a valuation for trade-in, the team at Koeppel Hyundai took much longer than necessary ... only to arrive at a number $8,000 under what TrueCar indicated that they would honor. When I asked about it, the reply: Just what are you trying to accomplish? (My answer, in case it wasnt clear: pay a fair price for a replacement vehicle.)I could go on and on ... suffice it to say, if you are looking for a comfortable, pleasant, efficient car-buying experience, look elsewhere.As an aside, I was in the market for two cars today ... and had just finished purchasing the first. The experience was the polar opposite of what we witnessed at Koeppel. It IS possible to find car dealers who appreciate you spending $40,000 at their showroom.
Most smoothest and fastest experience ever. Jason E was such a gentleman and made me and my family comfortable. Had to leave a review because it was funny how rude the manager Lulu was. I was looking to purchase the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited until I saw that this location was upcharging by 4-5k. This huge charge is just a big no-no even while buying during this car shortage, especially since there are so many other dealerships actually offering MSRP prices.Lulu called me to ask if I was helped by Debbie when I was at the dealership a month ago. I said yes but I wasn’t looking to purchase a car anymore since I put a deposit down for a Subaru from Koeppel Subaru (highly recommend that dealership since customer service is SO much better). Lulu said “congrats” and immediately hung up the phone without waiting for my response. I’m sorry that your dealership was overcharging and I found a better deal on another car elsewhere but also not sorry that this dealership didn’t get my money. I was honest and said I wasn’t comfortable paying more than sticker price and I’m sure many others would agree with me. That is no reason to give a sour “congrats” comment and then rudely hang up without so much as another word.All in all, I wouldn’t come back here just from the short phone experience. Imagine how the interaction would’ve been like if it was in person? Laughable
Before coming to this dealership, everywhere I went there was either no car or over priced above msrp. Especially during this time of shortage in cars. I feel so blessed that I met Ahmed at Koeppel Hyundai. He immediately made me feel so comfortable that he felt like he was part of my family. He was the only salesperson i ever met that actually looks out for the customers pocket. He’s genuine, transparent and guided the whole process with ease. I had a great experience at this dealership. When you go ask for Ahmed, he was amazing. We were greeted by Ahmed as soon as we walked in. He was a amazing sales person. We explained what we wanted and he confirmed that they can have the car ready the same day. Everybody in the dealership was amazing from making the appointment to negotiating. They were able to work with us and I LEFT WITH THE CAR I LOVED. Everybody stayed WAYYYY passed closing to ensure that we left with the car we wanted AND WE NEVER FELT RUSHED. They even took their time AFTER CLOSING to FULLY setup the car and explain ALL the features to us. Ahmed and the other people at the dealership ensured that we had a great experience. Everybody was patient, polite, informative and very friendly. Soooooo happy we chose this dealership and that we met Ahmed.

One of the worst experiences in customer service Ive ever had.I made a reservation for a test drive. We were ignored for about 15 minutes upon arrival and when we finally had a chance to talk to someone they did not know we had a reservation. The dealership was almost empty and there were about 5 employees on site.They said our car would be ready in 15 minutes but after an 1 hour+ of us waiting I had to approach one of the people there. Somehow the test drive car had arrived but no one informed us. They did not apologize for the wait and told us to go across the street to wait by the car. Again, we stood next to the car for minutes and no one came.We went back in and once again we were ignored. Thats when we decided to leave.
We bought our first and second car there and I can say they know what to do to fit your needs. I recommend Chris, he is a nice person and he can help you to find what you really need. Also, I like the financing program they offer. I love our cars, Hyundai is the best! And this place nailed it! Thank you guys.
I’ve been coming to Hyundai Long Island City since 2018 and they’ve always given my family and I the best treatment. Today, I felt compelled to write this review because we came in for an event to trade in our car and we were really looking for a better monthly price due to the financial struggles that COVID brought in the past year. Christian was our car salesman and he went above and beyond to make sure we found a car and price that was within our dream price point. The manager, Benny, also did his absolute best to meet our needs. You can tell that the people who work here care about their customers and are willing to do what it takes to make sure we leave happy. Thanks so much again Christian and Benny!
The best Hyundai dealers I ever went especially if u want a sales guy u need to see Ahmed because he will treat u like a king he will work with u the best he can. His boss which is the sales manager Besik he will give u the best bargain in the market. I will definitely recommend my friends and my family members to go see them too but please remember to go there extremely early because it’s extremely busy u will stay there for at least 5 hours.
This is the best car buying experience I have ever had. Let me start off by saying I hate car dealers and car salespeople. They lie, cheat and tell you what they think you want to get you to buy. And, when I saw some of the horrible reviews for this dealership, I was worried.Luckily my experience was exceptional (the dealership recently changed ownership). Before I went, I did my research and got prices from several car buying services. Armed with all this information, I went in and saw Debbie.She was great. Debbie pointed out all of the car’s features, and asked if I wanted to test drive (I had already done this). She showed me the car I was interested in and another car—which I rejected.I wanted the original vehicle and showed her the price I had been quoted. She presented this to the sales manager (who honored this without adding on anything extra) and the buying process began.I saw the finance guy, Peter, who provided several loan quotes (I chose the lowest rate) and explained everything in plain English.Did I enjoy buying a car? Not really—but Koeppel makes it as pleasant as possible. The process is horrible—but that’s not the dealer’s fault—there’s just so much paperwork.Next time I am looking for a car, I will definitely come to Koeppel’s. Do yourself a favor and call Debbie. If your experience is half as good as my mine, you’ll be very happy.
The service department stinks customer service wise and service wise. The manager claims she’s so under staffed but when you arrive at the facility the employees are just sitting around laughing etc with only one or two people assisting customers. I am absolutely disgusted that I had to drive across town in bayside to get a better Hyundai experience. Koppel Hyundai gets a thumbs down and zero stars if you ask me.
What a pleasant buying experience from start to finish! I got in touch with the Internet Sales Manager, Lulu Hoppe, after finding the car & the terms that my wife and I wanted on Edmunds.com. Lulu quickly reviewed the terms of the Edmunds deal, agreed to them, and an appointment was set to visit the dealership two days later to view the car, take a test drive, do the paperwork, and take delivery. Lulu made sure that the car was detailed and ready to go upon our arrival. After arriving at the dealer and meeting Lulu in person, she then handed us off to John Parhami, the Senior Sales Consultant, who handled the insurance & DMV stuff and familiarized us with the many features of our new car. A quick meeting with a friendly, young gentleman in the finance office and we were on our way. The whole thing took maybe 90 minutes, tops. We were so appreciative because we had traveled two hours to get to the dealership and wanted to be on our way home before rush hour. All in all, from start to finish, we had a great experience with this team and I would not hesitate to buy from them again or recommend them to anyone I know that is in the market for a new car. WARNING my fellow consumers. I purchased my Hyundai 2020 venue brand new with a Hefty car note. The bright side was the free service, however according to Koeppel members due to construction no walk ins Service Appointment wait periods can extend over a month.Getting a service Appointment that didnt conflict with my job was difficult. The fact that the Appointments are a month out you cant actually prepare.. .Finally!!! after waiting a month for my appointment date, and having my car fully serviced my tire warning light was still on. The young man who brought me my car said to drive and it will go off... This raised a red flag but ok. . I knew that Restarting the car and driving had been good before . When they took my car it was saying my front tire pressure low. When he brought it back after wheel rotation it was saying the back tire...He drove it from the service side turned it off... The numbers kept changing.... I wonder did anyone read the manual🧐?Anyways I decided before leaving after Restarting the car again that I wasnt sure about the young mans advice. I Called telling them the same thing the young man and I witnessed.. I even mentioned that Ive had repeated issues with sensors going off.. In the beginning I had to restart my car to get my screen to turn on. After that myseat belt warning.. I heard 3 voices discussing what I was saying two men, and a woman. They agreed with the 1st man. I was told if it doesnt go out I could bring my car back the next day.. So nicelyGuess what? The light didnt go out, and now in a intitled and aggressive tone, I was being told sorry you have to wait another month for another appointment. Or perhaps go to the bronx. The Service manager offered me to bring the car Monday and leave until the next day... (I live in the bronx and work in Manhattan).....How about honor my appointment I waited a month for by Properly and COMPLETELY servicing the car .... Great customer service Koeppel your future is bright🤥I work for the usps and tis the season. I dont have time to hang about. I have to pay that Hefty car note. I am also on 90 days probation period I cant take days off because the job was left unfinished? The manual had very specific directions when this system isnt working properlyThey didnt match with anyone I spoke with tha...Ive never had such a negative experience in this place before. I was notified it became Hyundai Koeppel, and this was my first time there with this energy. All prior experience were pleasant and productiveI will have spent upwards of 40,000 and this was the unfortunate outcome.Im currently refraining from using my car because my TPMS is not functioning properly.( All in the manual ) which I was inspired to read after this day.Currently waiting on another appointment somewhere else that again conflicts with my job. As I said I will escalate the matter and hope this is just 1 apple out the etc. If you understand the life of hardworking single parent and your money needing to take you far then this review is for you.I would say save your money for a Dealer who values his customers money and timeIn the meantime, Ive had my Hyundai detailed and shes just waiting for the road😏I will update
Im not going to lie, I used to dread taking my car here. The old management team was not pleasant and things took way too long to be fix. The new management team, which has started in the past two years, has been INCREDIBLE. Theyre just overall nice and down to earth people. I want to give a special shout out to Christopher Dunn, who has always been courteous, professional, and honest. Morever, the turn around time has improved tremendously. In the past an oil change would take 4-5 hrs. Things are MUCH MUCH faster now. I would recommend taking ones car here for servicing.
I take my hat off to Koeppel Hyundai. They provided a competitive price on a Sonata. Along with being friendly they were extremely professional. I want to personally thank LuLu and JC. I great sales.team. I highly recommend dealing with these two employees if your looking for a stress free experience.
So i’m here at 9am in the morning waiting on m car to get serviced and the sales people start coming in most are hungover from the christmas party from the nite before, anyway they have no regard for customers waiting in the waiting area, cursing, talking trash out loud, not very professional at all, Harvey you need to have a sit down with these young sales people, not a good image for the dealership
I came in here looking to lease a 21 Santa Fe with a specific budget. JC was the one who was helping me and he wasn’t happy with the down payment I wanted to give. He even told me, “no offense, but I have people willing to pay top dollar for the car”. It was my first time purchasing a car and he didn’t really want to work with me. I ended up going to South Shore Hyundai the next day and got the deal I wanted with a great monthly payment. Moral of the story, watch what you say to people. My money is green everywhere.
I was very concerned seeing the previous poor reviews. Typical dealer negativity with bait and switch and hidden fees. I even called twice and inquired about the poor reviews and confirmed the selling price of the vehicle. I hesitantly went in not expecting to do much more than waste my time... boy was I wrong. Within 10 minutes we came to terms on a brand new Palisade Caigraphy price. Not only was the car sold at sticker but when I received the invoice everything was broken down.(many dealers are currently charging 5k over sticker, one even quoted us 12k over sticker.) Price, tax, dmv fees, dealer fees($75). The last Hyundai dealer on Long Island listed the car price and the total price with no explanation of the difference in cost. Christian was top notch and had a great no BS demeanor to him. He was personable, honest, and professional. Stephanie in internet sales who answered my 500 calls regarding this car was also outstanding. I would deal with these two over and over again for future purchases. In the end, all in after taxes, dmv fees and finance charges we still paid less than what other dealers were charging just for the cost of the car.
JC was very patient & helpful, one of the most caring representatives I’ve come across in my life & I thank God he assisted us throughout our visit today. I didn’t leave with a car but I did leave a better person, thank you. The bathroom would be the only thing that needed a little maintenance.
I had a great experience with Sam Salfiti (sales consultant). He was professional and very knowledgeable. He made the process easy. The next time I am in the market I won’t hesitant to call Sam again. When we had an issue with the DMV, Benny Davarashvili (sales manager) found a solution to make sure we were satisfied with our experience.
Worst service EVER! I was there today to turn in my car and get a new car after we finally came to an agreement on a car they withdrew the money from my card we start to sign papers when they tell me sorry that car was SOLD! How the hell you sell me a car and it’s already sold? What type of customer service is this? Like where does Hyundai find these employees? I asked for water several times never got the water they were more worried about the sell more than anything else. I will turn in my car and NEVER deal with Hyundai they lost a good customer and I will never refer them to anyone. Just bad overall. People stay away from HYUNDAI Long Island City!
The service center is awful. We have had multiple bad experiences, including being the car in for a flat tire change, was told it would be ready the same day, 2 days later still no call. Then I’m told “oh it’s ready.” We get there, they bring the car out and the temporary tire is still on! Recently, we have been trying to get a standard service appointment and nothing is available for weeks. We went to another auto shop for an oil change and were told we need brakes and a new tire. Again, no appointments available but are told we can bring the car in as emergency. We bring the car in and are immediately turned away but an extremely rude manager, that didn’t even speak with me just barked out an order at the staff and walked inside. We will NEVER take our car back for service or buy another car from this dealership.
As soon as we walked in we where greeted with a HUGE SMILE from Ahmet. He sat with us and asked what we wanted and how he could help us. Explained everything, took us on a drive and made the experience very comfortable. No pressure at all, he was reasuring and made sure we got the best deal. He really works for you and even runs a little so you can have what you want as fast as possible. Plus he made sure we where hydrated in this heat. So aks for him by name, he is a GREAT GUY! Also the rest of the staff is really nice and helpfull as well.
I would give this places NO STARS This place is the worst car dealership I ever been to they will have you waiting 3 hours and more they are Unprofessional unorganized and you will never be able to get in contact with a manager and they switch prices if you get a manager name lulu run for the hills she has the worst customer service.... Pretty much writing this review because I ran out of things to do 1 hour 45 mins into my wait for an oil change.My third time here and every time its been appx a 2 hour wait for just an oil change. And thats with an appointment and getting here early.Ive looked at some of the same people waiting here for those 1:45 hours too (granted idk what service they are here for), but it doesnt seem like they are too concerned about having you wait a good bit. Every. Time. (At least in my experience)Edit, fine changed it to 4 starsEdit 2, 2:05 hours in right now, I see the lady who dropped her car before me still here tooEdit 3, it took about 2 hours and 30 mins in and out the door. I think a new record 🎉I guess Ill leave it at 4 stars bc other than the wait I actually like this place, Ill just clear more of my schedule next time
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I bought a car here in April, and was having a problem with one of the wipers. I made an appointment for it to be serviced this afternoon. I blocked time off of work to drop it off. Arrived on time, checked in outside (and was told that my car would probably only take about 90 minutes to be finished....HAHA!) then was told I needed to check in again with service dept. inside. Despite letting them know multiple times that I just wanted to drop my car off and would come back later for it I was told to continue waiting since they would have no idea why my car was there....despite making an appointment explaining exactly why my car was there.... After 45 minutes I told them (for the 2nd time) that I really need to get back to work and i just want to drop it off. She told one of the service managers that I was busy and needed to get out of there and he gruffly yelled yeah were all busy!. Then she asked me if i wanted to reschedule, I let her know that No, i do not, i want my car fixed today. She replied that TBH she didnt even think they would have time to look at my car today. So I waited 45 minutes there to drop a car off that I wasnt even able to drop off or have looked at. What a waste of my work day. I will never set foot in this building ever again!!! Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!
Well, I guess its NOT going to get resolved. This is what the front desk manager said to me when I asked how I would get my drivers license back. Incredible. Hands down, one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Over the course of three days, we found no one at the dealership who was willing to take any responsibility, or provide any assistance in returning me my drivers license after a test drive. Well, you didnt talk to me and this is the first Ive heard of it -- we must have heard this line from five different people, even though wed been told that three different managers had been made aware of the situation. Phone call after phone call, we were hung up on, transferred, or told that wed be called back (spoiler alert: we were not called back). Each person told us the bare minimum to get us to leave them alone and then vanished, never to be heard from again.The lack of professionalism or basic human empathy was astounding -- and this was while I was a potential customer! I can only imagine the treatment Id receive if theyd already gotten my money. Never, never, never in a million years would I purchase a vehicle from LIC Hyundai or take my vehicle here for service.
I love this place since I got my car back in 2013. They have been doing all the maintenance of the car and it is in great shape. If I decide to get a new car soon, I will definitely go backto this place to get it. Special thanks to Stefanie Delgado and James Hwang both Service Advisors and doing a great job.

After seeing all the horrible reviews, both on here and on Yelp, I almost decided not to even walk into LIC Hyundai. I did a lot of research on other local dealers and found that they had better reviews than most, so I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot.I began working with Cliff Francois, who was VERY honest, helpful, patient, and easy to work with. We viewed a few cars on the lot before finally finding the right one. After working numbers and comparing to other dealers, we were able to come to a deal that made us all happy. The few problems that were found with the car while test driving were fixed quickly by the dealer (tires, lights, battery, etc.) and I was given a spotless, clean car the night I picked it up. Car actually looked close to new prior to leaving!I would have to say that the best part about coming here was that there were no hidden fees (like other dealers nearby) and that they were fairly easy to work with. The Financial process was faster than most, making my overall experience much better. The only negative is the expensive warranty option, which I decided not to take.To conclude my review, almost a month has gone by since I picked up my car and I absolutely love it. This will definitely be my first stop/recommendation next time myself or someone I know needs a car. In the unlikely event something goes wrong with the car in the near future, I will update my review. But for now, if you are looking for a good deal on a vehicle, come here and ask for Cliff Francois. Tell him I sent you!
I recently bought my FIRST car here. A 2015 Hyundai Sonata Silver. The salesman, Ali was VERY helpful indeed. He made it possible so that I could have this car as a birthday gift to myself. Honestly, the whole staff provided excellent customer service. They are patient and very helpful. I cannot wait to upgrade my car after I graduate college. Shoutouts to them. Thanks again Ali !

I purchased a Sonata from this dealership a couple weeks back because they had the best prices I could find in the NYC/NJ area. My salesperson was friendly and helpful and the financing went through easily. Im giving it three stars because the place seemed to be pretty disorganized. We had clearly discussed the specific model and color a week in advance. When we got there, for almost two-hours they couldnt find the specific car I had come to see. Then their computer systems went down. We lost about 2 1/2 hours because of this. In the end, when I went to pay with my card, their systems went down again and I ended up paying cash. Spent a total of five hours in the dealership. The thing that put a bad taste in my mouth was that they said that before they could hand over the keys to me, that I needed to write a review for them and of course, they actually clicked five stars on my phone. I felt like they would have delayed me if I hadnt done that. However, that review didnt get posted and this is my actual review. I read many of the reviews and quite a few of the five star reviews have identical language leading me to believe the salespeople are filling out the reviews themselves.
Usually the whole process is smooth when i go in for a normal oil change. I drop it off and pick it up in an hour or two. This time I dropped it off at 12, they didn’t check me in and I left thinking i would come pick it up in an hour or so without a problem. Ended up waiting till almost 6 and even got some attitude from Stephanie there because i guess it’s fine to not be respectful of my time. Lastly, before i drive off, found out they haven’t changed the return to service sticker..but that wasn’t too bad.
Ive had nothing but problems with this Hyundai dealer. When I was shopping for a vehicle, they were unable to locate the color and trim I was looking for, even a month after I told a sales person I was ready to buy, and which colors I would accept. I eventually bought from another dealer in Jersey City. Unfortunately, shortly after that my car was vandalized, and I brought it here for repairs (body work and window replacement). Its been three weeks, and I still dont have my car back. They outsource the body work to a third party shop which seems incompetent and super slow. I love my Hyundai, its a shame this is the closest dealership. Everyone is nice, but they clearly dont do any actual work. Bad sales, bad service, avoid this place.
My experience with Debbieann locating the perfect vehicle for us and making sure my husband and i were both happy went above and beyond. Benny made sure that we were able to that we would be happy with the pricing. Peter...worked tirelessly to make sure that the financing would not break the bank.Overall on a scale of 1-10... we both would give a 15! Superb Service at Hyundai of Long Island City!
I brought my car into the service center after it began stalling. The car is only 5 months old, and obviously I was concerned. It turned out the Valvoline Instant Oil Change I had taken the car to 10 days earlier had used the wrong size oil filter and didnt fully seal the oil pan plug.Stefanie, in the service office was very responsive and helpful, and took the time to explain what the issues were to me. Thankfully, the service garage was able to get the car back to running properly the same day.I would recommend the service center at this dealer to anyone, and will be going here for oil changes and service from now on.
Horrible service experience! My car is under manufacture warranty from Hyundai. I was told I will be charged $ 140 for just checking out why the low beam bulb is flickering. Even if the car is under warranty and all service has been performed by Hyundai they will still charge $100 plus for looking at your car. This dealership service prices are much higher than other Hyundai dealership.
I worked with Ray on my new lease and as a first time leaser the experience was wonderful. He was not overly pushy like many car salesmen. They were willing to work with me to ensure I was happy with the car and deal I left with. The entire process from working with Ray to find the car I wanted to finishing all the paperwork with Victor was easy and everything well explained. I would definitely recommend here to anyone looking.
Definitely the best car buying experience Ive had thus far! I went with my grandmother to buy my first car and was sure I would need a cosigner but the rates we got were amazing! We worked with Claudia she was very friendly and professional throughout the whole experience. She didnt even suggest to pull my credit until we found the perfect car that would work within my budget. When you walk into a lot of other dealerships thats the first thing they want to do, but not here. The whole sales staff was very accommodating and the lounge was so comfortable we didnt mind the wait. Everyone seemed to work together very well to get us the best car for the best price at the best rates. We ended up going with a beautiful 2013 Hyundai Sonata with low miles at an incredible price! Would definitely recommend Claudia as well as everyone here who made it all happen. Great Dealership!
I went in last week to get a price quote on a Kona and overheard the owner/bossman telling the salesman , loudly so I could hear, Tell him if he wants a taxi he can go someplace else. We only sell cars. People who look like me drive taxis in this city. I pretended I didnt hear it and then spent an exasperating hour trying to coax the salesman to give me a price estimate - he seemed to think it was some kind of mind game. Insisted he couldnt tell me what interest rate they offered, or even a ballpark, because what if my credit score wasnt what I said it was. Took me a while to really understand what was going on - that they didnt sell to my kind. Went over to Toyota and had an estimate in 10 minutes. I bought the Toyota later that week for 5k more than the Kona, but with my dignity intact. Still smarting from that experience.

We had to make a VIP APPT TO GO INSIDE DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AND SIT INSIDE THE VEHICLES WE WERE INTERESTED IN. This is *their policy during the PANDEMIC.*We were assigned a nice salesman who was very nice, helpful, and he was shown to spend amole time with us.It was a very pleasant and productive visit.
The experience while purchasing my car was excellent. Not to brag but my sale guy known as Ray Torres make it the best experience I could ever asked for. He was/is knowledgeable of the cars function and all. The waiting room is well put. I like the recliner and massages chairs, it is very spacious there too. Overall the customer service there is astonishing. Hints: You can win some money too if you know how to trow balls into a basket, if you dont know how, practice before going there. If I ever knew. However, I went home with $20 that day. Cool beans
Worst experience ever. I went into the dealer today 6/29/2019 but they had what I wanted. At first everyone nice and after waiting a hour for someone to talk to me about the vehicle it went really bad. Some random manager came over to me and just said out right the price is the price. Which is ok but he did even talk prices. I can’t believe a manager of the dealer would talk to a disable veteran like that. It was rude and out right disrespectful. I was told this place treated veterans with respect. This would’ve been the first time I was even thinking about buying a Hyundai ,after this experience I’m staying American. An I was really excited about buying this vehicle I did not care about the price. I hope anyone that goes their realize this place is not a place for you.
I dont even know where to begin!!! These people were amazing! I had issues with a previous lease and felt down on my luck on finding a new vehicle because I recently filed bankruptcy less than a year ago. I initially wanted to drive out with a 2017 Hyundai Tucson but I was not approved because of my bankruptcy. We wanted to leave ; feeling defeated and helpless. The general sales manager Bryan Rodriguez personally sat down with us; empathized be offered us and amazing deal that will not only build my credit but will get me into a another vehicle within approximately 12 months. I drove out with a 2015 sonata fully loaded with was amazing.Also, make sure you work with Jiwon Kim. She is THE BEST sales consultant I have ever worked with and this is not my first or second car. She was very knowledgeable, patient, fair and just a pleasure to work with. I had an wonderful experience at Long Island City Hyundai. The dealership had a amazing atmosphere. Upon entering I was greeted by several people. I went in very skeptical about purchasing a new vehicle. However the sales man I had the pleasure of meeting (Travis.W.) did an outstanding job at explaining all of my car buying options. He wasnt too pushy, as you would expect from most car sales men. He was genuine and really wanted me to make a selection that was beneficial to me. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone!!Did I mention they have free popcorn! :-)
I went here with a trade-in to purchase a new Hyundai. They offered me a ridiculously low price for the trade-in and told me they were charging $6,000 over MSRP because the car I wanted was very popular. I walked away, went onto the truecar website and found another Hyundai dealer offering me $10,000 more for my trade-in! And sold me the new car for a little under MSRP. Stay far away from this dealership. They are the epitome of slimy car dealers.
Walked in the door for my 730 appointment to test drive the palisade. Was ignored at first and then approached by a salesman who told my wife and I that this car is 5000 more than advertised. Okay..? When I asked to test drive the vehicle I was told it was too late, I had confirmed it would be available for test drive when I called earlier in the day. My wife and I felt insulted and are happy to take our business elsewhere.
So happy with this dealership, Chris Colon was an excellent salesman! I came here only out of interest to get rid of my car and jump into an SUV and can’t believe how fast easy and honest he was about all the details and what it would take to get me the car I wanted! Fastest time I’ve ever spent I’ve at a dealership, no hidden fees no surprises I got in did my business and left. Customer service for part is very bad. I have called to get a spare for my car and those who work on parts are very rude. In addition, I have taken my car there to perform the service and because of them being in a hurry they have done me a bad service. Airless tires, tires didnt rotate, Etc. Stay away from that this dealer. Unfortunately he is the only Hyunday dealer in Queens.
Do not go here . We scheduled a test drive and showed up a few minutes early. We left 40 minutes later no test drive and no one even waited on us. They kept giving excuses why it was taking so long. In the meantime they didn’t even show us the car or ask if we had any questions. We just sat there and they acted annoyed when we kept asking what was taking so long. They weren’t busy at all. Crazy part is we were ready to buy if we liked it. They clearly don’t care.
The General Sales Manager Bryan Rodriguez and product specialist Andres personally helped us through the entire process and made this the best auto buying experience ever. They made us feel super comfortable with our selection of vehicle and purchasing options and we were out the same day with our new ride. The entire staff is very fun, energetic and knowledgeable. Best car purchase experience ever.
The waiting area is nice and staff are mostly friendly. You can expect the work to be well done and for repairs to last.I withhold two stars: one because they signed me up to spam mailing lists (one email, one physical). The other because at my last appointment they took 3 hours to not tell me that my car hadnt been seen yet.
This was the best experience Ive had at a dealership. My salesman Sergio was great. This was his first sale and he did an awesome job with the presentation and working on our deal. We went to get two cars and we got just that. I will definitely be going back for my service appointments and when my lease is up.
I worked with Fayyad and Jared who were fantastic in meeting our needs. The experience wasnt pressured and we were able to walk out with a car we felt very comfortable with and at a price that met our budget. We would definitely recommend people to check out their inventory and meet with the team. My preconceived notions of buying a car at a dealership quickly dissolved with their honesty and calm demeanor. Thanks so much guys!!
They didnt fully go through the contract and left out a lot of hidden fees and explanations. They said a lot of Youre getting a good deal, its a great buy. Later, when I came in to negotiate, all they gave was cold stares and you shouldve read the contract; youre an adult. The manager and the sales rep I was given was rude and had a lot of fake hospitality. Didnt even mention the cancellation fee or policy and found out about the 2 weeks notice from calling Hyundai directly. Realizing this, I filed a form to cancel the contract but never replied back until the 2 weeks are over, then saying, theres nothing we can do now. Came here twice, the second time a letter from them asking to buy the car and change it to something else. Wanting to avoid the ludicrous contract I ended up with, I was trying to change the sales to lease a different car. Ended up with a monthly lease of over $700 for a Hyundai saying this is the best we can do or cancelling fees for the previous car are more costly. Never again.

I was (unexpectedly) pleased with Hyundai of Long Island City when I took my 2013 Sonata in to have a number of recalls taken care of, a few problems dealt with and the whole car checked out. Making an appointment was easy and the service coordinator was really helpful everything was done well and under warranty except for a taillight bulb which was expensive but I did not mind since wandering around NYC looking for someone to change a bulb and save me $10 is not a thing for me. snot 5 stars because the repair took 5 hours and neither coming and going to the shop on public transportation or hanging out and waiting for the car to be done was an attractive option. Providing a ride to the subway would have bumped my review up to 5 stars.
Buyer Beware of Service DepartmentThe service department has consistently treated me very badly over many years. After scheduling appointments, they make me wait 3-4 hours even before they look at my car. They dont notify me when parts come in. They often dont answer their phones for 3-4 hours at a time causing the customer to use their precious time just to talk to the service representative. They are either understaffed or poorly managed. If you have choices, choose a better service department. If you use this dealership, theres a good chance you will be mistreated or worse!
Walked in with doubt, walked out with the greatest satisfaction and a brand new car! I purchased a brand new Sonata. Ricky was being gentle and attentive to my needs in order to find me a best suited car for me. Hes the best dealer Ive ever worked with, easy to talk to and care about what I say. You cant find a helpful and honest dealer like him elsewhere, on top of that, he is very knowledgeable, helping you make a right decision. I am truly satisfied since he exceeded my expectation.

I bought a brand new car here. They were supposed to give me a copy of the key. Usually when you buy 2 car you are supposed to receive 2 keys. It’s been 2 years since I bought the car and they still have not given me the 2nd copy of the key. They keep lying to me telling me that they will be in touch with me and help me, but so far nothing. Terrible terrible services. I will never buy a car here again. After they sell you car you are pretty much treated like garbage.
I came today just to look at opinions and prices. My last thought was to walk out (well drive out ) with a car but Cliff was so AMAZING! He help me leave with my dream car. He was so transparent and patience with me and Im so grateful for that because I dont know much about cars. I recommend all first time car buyers to come to Hyundai Of Long Island City. And I highly recommend Cliff as your cars salesman. He is the absolute best!
Had a flat tire near the location of my brand new car and tried to reach the service center and the sales department. Service center did not answer the phone and the sales rep told me she is not part of the department, kept transferring me and then eventually stopped picking up my phone. This is what lease payments on time gets ya.
After reading many reviews, I hesitated to set up a test drive appointment at Hyundai LIC. However since it was the most convenient Hyundai dealership, I decided it was okay to just test drive the car from there. Once at the dealership, the salesperson who met with me was Raphael Melendez. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. After the test drive and liking the Kona Ultimate, we sat and had a non-pressured conversation. Long story short, because of Raphael’s honesty and efficiency, his willingness to negotiate, as well as his friendly, kind demeanor, I left the dealership with a good deal on a new car.Here’s hoping that my future service experiences will match this.
Looks like the Covid-19 situation is the worst moment to this people to make business. Since they dont even treat you with respect. I am conscious that my expectations trying to trade my car were really low, but for a client that have made deals before, treatment should be way better even is there is not chance of getting a deal. They under stimated the price of my car like a 300% !! Like I said, my expectations werent that high, but I still being a client.I am pretty sure they will call me back with some offers but you know what... Honda is my next choice!!
This review is for the service department, specifically for the service (Asian) guy named Jason! First of all, you are not arguing nor lecturing your customer, especially after you have promised them to check and refill all the engines fluids. As you see from the attached picture, the radiator fluid is below the minimum line. So I requested my service advisor, Vanita, to refill the radiator fluid and she told me that they would check and refill all the fluids as my request. After the service finished, and before leaving the place, I checked the radiator fluid and found out that they did not refill the radiator fluid as per my request. Responding to my request Vanita was kindly ask the service guy to add my car radiator fluid. However, before the service guy came, the cocky Asian guy, named Jason was outside, and he came to me and said, this is the level how the radiator fluid should be. His point was, there is no necessary to refill it despite it below the minimum line, and it is my request as his customer. So he is arguing and lecturing me for more than 10 minutes about this radiator fluid level until the service guy comes and finally fulfill my request to refill the radiator fluid. If you want your customer to come back and do business with you, you need to treat your customer with respect, complete their request, instead of arguing with them. The way he acts and talks to me clearly indicates that he does not appreciate nor want to do business with me again in the future. If I were the HR, I would have fired this guy a long time ago. The owner of this place needs to train his employees, especially Jason the service manager, on customer service skills. Not only he is an A-Hole, but also he lacks of customer service skills, rude, and very disrespectful with customers request despite the customer has paid for the service. At the end of the car service, I found out that they did not even change the miles sticker in my car. The carelessness service that they provide makes me think twice if they actually do their job that is listed in the billing receipt. To the owner of the dealership, remember, you are not the only Hyundai dealer in the city. Your good online reviews do not match with what your service guy provides to me during my service time there. I would rather drive a couple of miles away to a dealer who treats their customers with respect and dignity. Learning from my experience with this dealer, If I plan to trade my car to the newer year, I would definitely choose a different dealer and disregard this place.
I was able to walk out with a new lease for a 2019 Tucson. Cliff Francois was very friendly, sincere and willing to back me up and meet my needs when I was at the final stage of the negotiation with the Finance department. Overall I am very happy I was able to work with Cliff and walk out with a great deal. Thanks again Cliff and to the managers.
While it was true it was Black Friday, when the salesman took me to the GM to discuss the purchases of the vehicles for our organization he was exceptionally rude, desultory, even insulting. Rhetorically asking me did I know what day it is, I responded, Friday. It degenerated from there. He was grossly impolite and we will have no further contact with this dealership and inform our contacts also.
Never again ... I brought my Elantra because the tire light was always on despite correct pressure, my best guess was a dead sensor which doesnt seem impossible since the car is 6 year old. After dropping the car off they called me shorty after, telling me that not one but three sensors were dead?! Each one costs almost $200 to replace ... Not willing to spend that much for $25 sensors I decide to change just one since they would charge $130 just for the diagnostic anyway, hoping to find a cheaper place later ... Once I retrieved the car with as expected, the tire light on, I drove home and realized that the tire with the new sensor looked very low... I decide to check the pressure and just like a miracle, the light came off ... honestly I dont really know if they are just incompetent or were trying to rip me off an extra $400. What mechanics would mount a tire without checking the pressure? Seems deliberate to me ...
The salesperson, Aziz, was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He demonstrated the features of the vehicle and even let me test drive it. Peter, the financial manager, worked diligently to help me get into the vehicle I desired. I’m grateful to the both of them. They made becoming a new car owner a pleasant experience. If you are in the market for a new vehicle, I recommend Hyundai Long Island City.
I came in for a service and was asked if I wanted to look up my options for an upgrade to a newer car. After speaking with Moe I found the car I wanted, the Santa Fe. Moe and Louis helped me to get the right car for the right price. Moe was very knowledgeable and professional. Lou makes you feel like a part of his family. Their service was spectacular and my experience here was the best experience I have ever had in any dealership before. I would recommend coming here for anyone looking to purchase their next vehicle.
Debbie, our original sales person was very nice and helpful. Everyone other than her were terrible to deal with. A car listed as certified pre-owned is in fact NOT so unless you pay $3000 on top of the listed price of the car. As I was clearly not happy with this, or the amount they wanted to give me for my trade in, they brought in another sales person to try and close the deal. I forget his name but he was horrible. He was sleazy and tried to justify these fees with lies and tricks. I am in sales, so I am not easily fooled. They took him away after a screaming match and brought in a manager to finish the deal. He was only slightly better.After we finalized the pricing they had us there for FIVE MORE HOURS to get a response from about a loan and prep the vehicle. In total we were there for 9 hours. They werent happy with the end price that we negotiated so they kept making each step drag to get back at us.Horrible experience. Take your business elsewhere.
The Mechanic that worked on my new 2019 Elantra GT (1,017 miles) found the cars new battery needed to be replaced.Unfortunately since he did, my cars Econo mode Miles history (Avg.per Gallon) was erased.He also removed the drop cloth I placed on the floor (rainy day and all) and the fool placed it on the front passengers seat..., NOT a good service on this one.Customer CARE went out the window.I do wish to thank Christopher for going out of his way to check me in ASAP, but that was screwed up by the young and unprofessional that took hold of the e-Pad 😏 🎭
Came in after seeing many dealerships. They were bay far the best dealership to work with. I walked in and out of many dealerships whose service and sales managers did not come close to the way I was treated at Long Island city Hyundai. They did not pressure and worked out A program that fit my needs and desires. Jared and Brian were amazing working with me. They were patient extremely knowledgeable and did not make it painful like many dealers do to get to the right price. I totally expect to buy my next car from them in a few years and recommend you give them a cal before dealing with any other dealership. please everyone check this dealership out cause they are Amazing
I came in to Hyundai to lease a new car and I was pleasantly surprised by the AMAZING service I received!! Debbie was the car sales LADY who helped me. She answered all my questions and was NOT intimidating or pushy at all!! I was able to pick the car that was right for me and my budget!! I definitely had better car leasing experience here than other dealerships (...VW) and the process was not even that long! I highly recommend anyone to come and see Debbie for all your car needs. Horrible customer service.Never got a call back from the service department to know that was happening with my car and when will it be ready after 48 hours. And when i call the dealer the girl on the phone was super rude. Instead of working with me and help me find a solution ( even telling me that she was gonna leave a note to the service dept. would’ve been fine) she basically told me it was my fault and hang up the phone on me.Too bad i never got her name. But whoever answers the phone, needs to take costumes service training.
Cliff was the best car salesman I’ve ever had the pleasure of buying a vehicle from. He is very knowledgeable and helped me with returning my lease and getting me into a brand new Elantra GT. He answered all of my questions honestly and was super friendly throughout the whole process. Cliff and everyone at Hyundai treated me like family and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I own a Hyundai Elantra which I bought from Hyundai Long Island City. The car is a 2013 and has only 27,000 miles. As with all my cars it has been maintained. In August anti-freeze started coming out of the tailpipe. I brought it to Hyundai LIC and it took them over a month to figure out there is an engine issue. As of today they still have the car. I have called repeatedly and every time there is more and more delays. They have now had the car from 8/21/2020 to present.My advise is check the reliability of the car before you buy it. Perhaps you can avoid an issue like this.
My experience at Hyundai of Long Island was an excellent one. Every single person here was great and eager to help me out with my car experience. Orangle Gracianl worked hard to get me the car that I loved for a great deal. He is a great sales representative at this dealership. He called me on his day off to ensure that everything was working well for my car. In the end, the used car that I wanted could not be sold to me because it was not able to be certified and everyone worked hard to find me another car. I actually ended up getting the car I always wanted for a wonderful deal. I am appreciative to all the members of the Hyundai team for their honesty and working with me to get the car I wanted.
The overall service was great. The sales rep and managers were friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. Jamell showed us many options and was patient throughout the process. The gentlemen who worked through the finances with us was excellent with his explanations and was willing to work my husband and me through a number of scenarios. The lounge area was comfortable and we were well taken care of.
I wish I could give negative stars to this dealership. They took all my information asked me to wait for 3 hours. Wasted my time. They were forcing me to make a deposit before getting approved. They gave me a deal on the car. They said they will call me next day morning. No one from their office called me when I called them they told me they already sold the car and cannot do anything. They asked me to look for a different car and want me to spend more money. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I would never recommend any one. General sales manager named Brian Rodriguez just want to cheat with people. They give you a different price before and when they have all your information they try to raise their price and get you stucked
By far it has been the best car buying experience overall. Friendly staff and management without the pressure from other dealership. The level of professionalism exceeded my expectations. I had the pleasure to work with Yvonne Centeno and Brian Rodriguez. They were extremely helpful and I will definitely by my car in the same place again.
John helped me trade in my lease for a new car today. He worked with my demands for car features and budget with no problem, was very transparent with all fees, and asked about exactly what I wanted prior to finding the car I selected in the end. This will be my 4th car at this dealership and although there were some aggravating issues 4 years ago here, I have been very happy with this most recent experience. Seeing the dealership physically transform and provide better service (and excellent service) has been great. As a word of advice from a car owner who has owned and leased, come prepared and knowledgable about what you want. They will take care of you every step of the way.
One of the worst dealership so far.It was great before you sign your paper.I purchased a Santa Fe limited with good offer but there was many sneaky trick they tried to fool me.First thing was the tax. I live in NJ and I gave them NJ drivers license and they tried to charge me in NY tax rate. I corrected it and they fixed it. Also tried to add up as much as possible to the final bill. Thankfully I was able to correct that.That was still fine because human can make mistake but after I purchased my vehicle, I made me think that they were trying to fool me.First of all they promised me $40 for the test drive credit. They were keep telling me that I will get it by tomorrow. I know that it does not make more than 10 minutes to get it but they lied as well. Next day I called and tried to figure out how its going, they sales rep was ignoring me. I also turned in my leased vehicle because they offered me that they will pay my rest of payments. Sales rep sent me a picture message that He was working on it next day but it never did. A month later I received a message from my leasing company that payment has not been made. I called my leasing company that I turned in my vehicle to hyundai dealer. They were not aware of it. I called and figure out what is going on. Lady who took the phone told me she will leave sales manager a message so he or she can call me back. I waited 48 hours and not a single call. I called again to find out what is going on. Another lady helped me out that If I send statement to the sales managers email and they will take care of it. I sent it the same day and no response for another 48 hours. Now I am about to give them another week before I seek for legal assistance. I hope they stop ignore what they have done and do what they have to do before it gets dirty.
I bought a new car Hyundai Accent 2018 from here within like 2hours only and the person who helped me is Mr John really he is a nice person he did everything fast and nicely and also a finance guy he did everything fast too. Really i had good experience. Happy with there service.
Yvonne was definitely one of the best salespeople Ive dealt with and this is probably my 8th car. This was one of the best experiences Ive ever had when buying a vehicle, not to mention her great personality. Very friendly!!! Shes definitely a valuable asset to the company. I recommend her to anyone!
-Scheduled a service appt 8 days in advance-Arrived 45 minutes early to appt-Was called in an hour after my car was checked in to finish the process because I was forgotten-Service agent attempted to upsell me for a $500+ special service-Settled on a oil change & tire rotation that still ended up being higher than Ive paid anywhere else-Was told itd be a 2-3 hour wait-Ended up waiting 6 hours and had to call to see what the hold up was (spoiler: they forgot about me, again)-Was then told to come back tomorrow to pick up the car (yeah no for real)-Had to argue to get the service done that day having waited 3 hours longer than I was quoted-Service agent had the audacity to give me an attitude for making me wait *even longer* upon my return, because of my completely validated irritation due to their overlooking me twice and draining an entire day of my life to do a job that takes 45 minutes and somehow believed that a simple we were busy was going to rectify the situation-Great place to go if the only thing you enjoy more than wasting your money is wasting your time and being gaslighted for your natural human reaction to said wastes of time/money
I went the dealership April 4 , the sale person was very nice and professional, I wanted to buy the car , then I put deposit $6000, but I changed my mind and did not buy the car. Before I left the dealership, I was told by one of the sale managers that I would get refund $6000 back in 24 or 48 hours. So far, it is already April 20, I have not received the refund yet . I have no idea what happened to the dealership. That is not the way to do business. I called the dealership a couple of times at least a week ago and talked to the sale person, he told me I should get the refund in a couple of days. More than a week passed, nothing happened.
We have bought many car before, but thanks to I.B. & Patricia this was hassle free, a great car buying experience, No BS,.This was our first time at this dealership, got great service, and we think a great deal. We drove the car out the same day. When we need another car will buy here again.
Billy Joe was very helpful in providing information with my questions. Billy showed me various vehicles until I found the perfect car. He is very professional and so is the entire team. My daughter enjoyed watching television in a beautiful high tech waiting room while she waited for us to finish the transaction. Brought my car in for service today! Great energy! They were shooting basketball hoops and this lady won an iPad mini. It was really awesome, everyone was cheering for her. The salesman was even showing her how to shoot so she could win! You dont see that everyday! When Im ready to upgrade my Hyundai, we will definitely be coming back. We have had excellent experiences in service. I browse the showroom while I wait for my car so I have gotten a good feel for the dealership. I could tell you they are fun, but you should see it for yourself. They had a camera crew today, so you will probably see it on YouTube they said. Best experiences at a car dealership Ive had!

All reviews are fake. After a year I asked to give Hyundai 17 and get 18 model, Manager said its only worth of 10K. Are you serious ? I wish I had bought honda or toyota and could have resell value 18K after a year. Don’t buy Hyundai Until you want to keep for 20 years. Experience speaking.

Went to dealership to test drive a car listed on web site for $24.630 when all negotiations were done I was told I needed to take a mandatory $3800 warranty I told them I was only interested in the balace of warranty vehicle came with they said no you need to take our warranty or we cant sell you the car.What a waste of time, I would stay away from this dealership.
Very excited!! simply it was a unforgettable experience. I was looking for a car since my old car was not good anymore. I just came for a quote but I ended it up buying my car. The staff was so nice and kind. All of them work with me and my credit. Manny Aguillar was an excellent person. He made great deals than I couldnt say NO. He really wanted to help me. He didnt take a NO as an answer. He worked very hard for a YES. He explained everything I needed to know and answered all my questions. He is a great person. Antonio was a great financial person. He really worked with my credit although I didnt have credit record. He helped with my credit and ended it up with a great deal. Honestly, I got the best experience. I guess from now on my favorite brand will he HYUNDAI!!!!

Debbie was my salesperson. She was very helpful and understanding of what I wanted in a vehicle. She took her time and did not rush me in the process. I was given options and important information on these vehicles, which any buyer would require in order to make an informed decision. Professionalism and patience is necessary for me when I am deciding on a big investment, and Debbie was certainly both. I was quoted over $2000 to replace a part they said failed, when all that needed replacing was a battery. They suggested a repair that was 20X more expensive than necessary. The part they suggested was broken, works completely fine. Never has someone attempted to rip me off to such an extent. This is either gross incompetence or malice, needless to say, wont be setting foot in there ever again.
I want to say my experience with Hyundai of Long Island City was amazing. I was helped by Andres, who made my buying experience very easy and pleasant. He is very knowledgeable and broke his back to get us the best deal. The management staff as well did all they could for me and Im very grateful. Im driving out of here with my new 2017 Hyundai Sonata SE!
Brought in a 2019 fully electric Kona because it wasnt DC fast charging and the technician said there was an impact to the undercarriage and it would cost $6,000 to fix. There was no significant impact to the undercarriage. It seems the technicians either didnt know how to fix the issue or didnt want to fix the issue and quoted an exorbitantly high value. Its a shame because I really liked the electric Kona but have lost faith in the Hyundai service.
Came in on Saturday right after church and was quickly greeted by Jhammar Green. He truly went out of his way to accommodate us on what seemed to be the busiest day of the week. He spent over 5 hours with us and showed us 7 different cars and explained every single trim level and optional package that Hyundai offered. After choosing the right car, we sat down to negotiate. We arrived at a deal that we didnt expect to actually arrive at. This was a pleasant experience, well be back after the lease ends for sure.
After various disappointments in alternative dealers, I finally ended up at this location where Jamaine Alphonos, managed to help me purchase my new car without any pressure, hassle or hiding fees. Making me happy to make this deal, and making me go home with a brand new car that I really wanted. I appreciate the excellent customer service I received here and would definitely recommend it too any prospective buyers!

I have been a customer for over 15 years and what I dont like is how long you have to wait for your vehicle when it comes out of service. Today and in the past I have to wait for over 30 minutes and more before I can get my paper work to process. Today I have waited one hour before I could get it when came out of service. Customers should not have to face this problem everytime they bring their vehicle for any reason whatsoever. There should be someone there to process all the paperwork as soon as possible as these vehicles coming out of service and let the customers go and not keeping them there waiting for hours for their vehicle. I hope to see some changes on my next visit. Thank you.

Debbie, my representative was thorough, professional, patient, and walked me through every detail of the transaction. 2022-05-07In the end I didnt buy the car from the dealership because I found my dream car in Honda. But I must say that the whole experience here was definitely the best I had in the whole car hunting journey. I worked with John, whos very transparent and honest about everything. The offer they gave me was decent and clearly printed out. No need to play the mind game or bargain at all. I even felt a bit guilty that in the end I didnt take it. I love the way they do business and I hope every dealership in the industry can be like them. If I want to buy a Hyundai in the future, I will definitely go here first and reach out to John.

2021-10-07I have been a customer since 2002. I just financed a 2022 Palisade. Ahmed is a great salesperson, very personable and has a great sense of humor. He is no nonsense, has extensive knowledge and really works with you to make sure you’re satisfied. He’s an asset to Koeppel Hyundai. I highly recommend him if you’re planning a trip. I also want to thank the sales manager, Besik who also made sure I was satisfied. He really is a good guy and made my lease return very easy. Peter, the finance manager was also very helpful and insightful. I’m really glad this place is Koeppel again after years of being LIC Hyundai. It seems like everything is running better than it was and I’m glad to be a customer again.

2022-02-09This would have been a 5 star review if the whole experience while purchasing my car was based on the sales person Debbie. She was great, however the trade in experience was lack luster. The used sales manager was what would be expected from a dealership experience and gave me a hard time about my trade. If you are looking to trade your car here all I can say is good luck getting a reasonable offer. You will see your car on their used sales site a week later with nearly a 6k markup.

My dealer Debbie, helped me search for the best cars that fit my needs and budget for the past 2 months. Tom and Debbie kept me informed if the car I wanted was coming in. She has been straight forward and positive with me about the process. She even assisted me with every step needed. She even help me with shopping for the best insurance quote since it was my first time getting a car. 2022-01-31READ THIS!!! DO NOT SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE FOR A CAR.... Lulu and her team (Debbie) made the experience impeccable when leasing our 2022 palisade. I literally dread buying cars because of the list of awful experiences we have had throughout the years, and I can promise you we will do business NOWHERE else from here on out!
