Kohls in other cities:
I really like the store the quality of the merchandise they sell is very good. I have clothes I have purchased about 5 years ago still look brand new after washing them whether in a machine or hand wash. Even the colors are the same. No fading. When they have a sale it is always good and you do save.
This store is always clean, well stocked, staff is pleasant and helpful. It actually is a very enjoyable experience at this location. They have recently upgraded to include the Sephora inside the store, it is also well stocked and the staff is equally as pleasant you can check out your items for Kohls in the Sephora also which is helpful so you do not have to stand on two check out lines.
Staff don’t care about anything. Fake customer service. Smoking is allowed in front of the store so if you have children and don’t want to poison their lungs, don’t go to this one. Choose a different one. People hang out outside and smoke while sitting on the bench. So its smoke friendly. People who hate smokers are advised to consider a different store.
Nice shopping experience, i.e., we found what we were looking for, however none of the clothing was categorized by size, and none of the size hangers contain the accurate size, so a small hanger had an extra large item. I spent less than I would have because of sloppy merchandising, really no merchandising.
So I stopped by the Kohl’s in Wappingersfalls and they had a very limited amount of the product I was looking for (size wise). I called the newburgh kohl’s and they had 2 of those items and they told me they could hold them for me for 24hrs. I went there the next day and when I went to check out the cashier Ana informed me that if I open up a credit card I could get up to 55% off all day. I jumped at the opportunity since I was only offered 35% at the Wappingersfalls store. I took full advantage and did early Easter shopping since the sale was for only the day you opened the credit card. I ended up saving around $300. All the employees were super helpful and the management staff was also very professional. Ty all!
Love Kohls! But this store never seems to have what Im looking for or the sizes I need in stock. The lines are usually long and the store is in a constant state of disarray. The staff members are friendly and always helpful. I wish they could get the store more visually appealing because I always feel like I walk into flea market. Again the staff is great but the store definetely needs some TLC.
Not a bad store. At least I can go in and find clothing I like, unlike Sears. Has good sales, and they give coupons too. Good place for dress and sport shirts. If you want hip hop wear, well this isnt the place for that.If they dont have your size of something you see, go to the kiosk and order your size and have it delivered. Easy as that...
Went into kohls spent 3 hrs looking around for the perfect outfit for my brothers wedding. As I go to the changing rooms to try on my choices I was then told the fitting rooms were closed. I am so very disappointed as a worker seen me and heard me talking about trying things on and couldnt even tell me sorry the fitting rooms are closed. Instead I walk over and she says with a nasty attitude the fitting rooms arent open. I was so upset. There was a tiny sign by the floor that said they were closed. How could a person see such a small sign? They need to advertise that dressing rooms are closed. They have a sign on the door saying you must wear a mask to enter but no sign letting the public know that the fitting rooms are closed. So thats why I rated the store a 1 star for todays visit. Not to mention that they had 6 registers open and I know line was a tad long but they kept it moving. A woman was done w a customer took forever to clean her counter and then continued to speak with her co worker about what she was doing for dinner that night and not caring that their was 6 people behind me in line and I was up next. A young girl who got done w her customer in a quick manner cleaned her station and took me before that other other woman took another customer. Where is the poliet hard working people? Apparently its the younger generation whom was polite and quicker. We know you are old but come on!! You get paid to ring people up not to tall about dinner for your boyfriend. Come on.... I have not gone to this newburgh store in years and now I remember why I choose Middletown over newburgh anyday!!!
Usually I enjoy shopping here. I mostly go to the one over the bridge. Last night I went to exchange something that I bought at the other Kohls for a different size. The employee who did the exchange was very efficient and quick. My fiance, on the other hand, went to purchase two of the same things that I just exchanged ( mens pajamas...on the clearance rack) ... They rang up full price and the cashier refused to make the adjustment so he decided not to buy them. In my opinion she was very rude to him and because of that, the store lost a sale.
I came to the Kohl’s in Newburgh to buy some suitcases and heard an employee named James tell two other employees that he made another employee cry. He proceeded to brag about how he made her cry, saying: “I made her cry the other day when I was trying to post a before and after photo of myself and she took my phone. I grabbed my phone out of her hands and said ‘don’t ever do that again!!’” It saddens me that this is the kind of culture that employees have to work it. Shame on them.
I called to simply just ask questions about an online order that I have placed and got a confirmation email from kohl’s and the payment went through but then got a cancellation email so I had questions. As soon as I mentioned ps5 to the electronics associate named “James” at the Newburgh store immediately cut me off saying “we don’t have any ps5’s in the store..... did you hear me?!” I said “ok sir I am aware I’m calling regarding a few questions about an online order that u completed about 12 hours ago and he aggressively said “there’s no ps5’s here or online. We didn’t do that” I responded with “well I’m afraid you have the wrong information because my order is already processed which is why I have questions. and he hung up. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Thank you James! You need to be fired. I was not helped in the slighted bit.
Weekend before Christmas and only had 6 registers open & only at the front of the store. One entrance in and out also. Everyone crowded by the same areas. The line went all the way down the isle and to the back of the store. Would have taken at least an hour just to checkout. Clothes all over, no organization. This store drives me crazy everytime I go there. Which is why I dont.
I should know better than going shopping on a Saturday b4 Christmas. Store crowded. Nice sales on most merchandise. But..but. Nothing marked with sale price. You have to stand in a longggggggg checkout line. They scan and then tell you cost. I walked out and didnt buy a thing. Will go on line to Amazon and save hassle. 4 cashiers for a checkout line half way around the store. Better off on line
I found great clearance prices on clothes and shoes. Although the clearance racks are always a mess. Customers just tear the place apart. So I can understand why it looks like this. The checkout lines are usually long as well. So dont expect a quick checkout. They also need to stop badgering customers about opening up a credit card for them. Thats the real annoying part.
This is more of an expensive store. They have a wide variety of things for sale like makeup, clothes, perfume, furniture. They have a male section, a female section and a section for children. They sell toys and holiday decorations as well. There are fitting rooms also. The staff seems limited but during my last visit, they were all very pleasant. The isles through the clothes are very tight spaces so fitting their also small carts anywhere is a bit challenging. They also have a clearance section for clothes but, like usual, its very unkept and disorganized. Their prices in the store vary and sometimes are very unreasonable, thats why i gave the store a lower rating. Over all, it wasnt a bad visit.
Jennifer in the returns department was absolutely the best! I had 17 amazon returns. If you ever done an Amazon return before then you know they have to scan a barcode to generate the returns. Well I screwed them all up and half way through generating these returns we realize it was not matching up. Jennifer went back through each one, rescanning to make sure its the right item and then triple checked all my returns. She was a saint! Never huffed, never mummbled under her breath....she was so nice and had so much patience ..it was amazing!
Shoe department is a mess. Wide width womans shoes are extremely hard to find. They show up as in stock at that store. But try and find them. I saw about 4 boxes with big oval yellow wide stickers. But none in the style s my wife and I where looking for there were a few others marked right below the size number. Difficult to see and nothing was in size order. The whole area needs to be organized better. Part of the problem is other customers putting boxes back with the blank side facing out. I could go on but whats the use...Happy that this generated a response. My wife wears a womans size @8 and because I had found them online at our local store we both went and looked for @ 1/2 hr then just gave up. It appears to me that positive action will be taken if so. I will comment next time we visit.
Im an avid shopper of this store. Probably 90% of my things come from here but their rewards program practically guarantees my return visits! The staff is friendly and helpful and the selection appeals to me. The shopping carts are horrible though--not enough to go around and the ones they do have are old and abused. The online selection is bigger and Ive placed orders for pickup to family all over the country.
The selection pales in comparison to other locations. I can never find my size, especially shoes. They really should consider expanding some departments. Also, list exactly which brands are excluded, like Woodbury does. Finally, I dont know whats up with the staff but on one occasion, I saw an old janitor guy yelling at two young cashiers over a phone or something. Really unprofessional.
No lines. Got a flash sale 30 percent off coupon email from kohls tonight which prompted me to go. How can you miss out on 30% off, it keeps me coming back. Then on top of that received more kohls cash what a deal! Found exactly what we were looking for. In and out 20minutes later with 4 shirts just awesome. Cashier very friendly as well. I just cant get enough of Kohls. Im a loyal Kohls customer 15 years now. Great job Kohls!
The Kohl’s store at the Newburgh location is always clean, populated by employees who do ask if they can help you, and the customer gets the perfect balance of help and the feeling of being close enough to staff that are knowledgeable should their help be neededI take an elderly woman here on a monthly basis and each time we’ve gone we’ve had a nice experience. The parking lot is well maintained and parking is ample. The blacktop is free of holes and divots and is easy to enter and exit from two roads. The doors have the option to be opened by the push of a button, which is great for the elderly or those pushing wheelchairs/strollers.Selection of goods is great; the store is large but is taken care of so everything feels easy to navigate and promotes shopping since they care for their store.Tips:Download the Kohl’s app on your smartphone and connect to the in store WIFI to have the ability to scan items as you shop and your phone is essentially a scanning price checker. We are happy with this store and will continue to shop her for as long as they continue these find business practices.
You can find good deals on all sorts of stuff from shoes to toys, but you really have to look. The store itself tends to be quite disorganized. I went to get shoes and spend over an hour trying to find a match to a shoe, without success. They also tend to overinflate the saving. One could get 50% off a shirt and still pay $50 for it. That said, if you utilize Kohls cash and do your research, you can save a good amount and get good deals.
Its on par with all the other kohls Ive been to. I hit the clearance racks like its my job. If I can manage to find my size, in a color I like... omg. The whole kohls cash thing is bizarre but its fairly addictive. Theres quite a game to getting all the discounts to line up. I think they actually paid me a few times to take their stuff home, Im not sure. Theres an app and free wifi. No Pokémon at all, FYI.
I like going to Kohls because of all the incentives they give you when you join their program or you have their credit card. The store is always clean when I go and the staff is friendly and you can always find somebody to help you if you need it and its usually not that busy at least at the time psycho
Manager and the AP guy come out because I was parked bin front of the building AP guy walked to the car and took my license plate down .is it because Im Puerto Rican he didnt see the police placket on the windshield .its the worst experience ever not everyone is a bad person corporate office is getting a little piece of my mind tomorrow morning
This kohls at one time was great. They are very busy on the weekends & often do not have the manpower on registers for a speedy checkout. Their shoe dept is in serious need of a FT employee to organize & stock. Finding shoes is insane & nearly impossible. It takes a lot of patience. Overall, theyre just ok.
We were so very greatful to have Luis help us out today. Unfortunately we had to fly into town from california because my boyfriends father passed. We needed a suit jacket and couldn’t find the right size for the life of us!!Luis came over and was so helpful!! He helped size my boyfriend and went above and beyond to get him the correct size and color. We were so thankful for his help!!
This Kohls location doesnt have the same amount of selection as some other locations, and their customer service is lacking. I tried to purchase a necklace recently and spent 20 minutes waiting for both a jewelry counter sales person and a store manager to respond to repeated calls over the intercom to return to the jewelry department to assist. I finally gave up and left empty-handed.Similarly, I recently purchased an item online and went to pick it up in the store, only to have to wait in line for 20 minutes. Other Kohls locations give priority to customers picking up online purchases.
Customer service could be better. I’m waiting in line and the cashier and customer are talking up a storm waiting waiting and then he leaves and I’m left there with my one item just trying to check out. I had to go to the other side to check out. Also don’t try to ask any of them a question because they don’t want to be bothered.
Customer service has gone down dramatically at this location. Ive needed help twice at this location and Ive spent thousands of dollars at this store and I expect to be treated well when I need help with an issue. Today they had me running around the whole store to get help that is just totally unacceptable to me! I was there for an hour asking for help and in the end I just walked out with nothing resolved. I vowed to cut my charge card when I got home and to never ever shop at this store again.
Lots of merchandise and clean store helpful attandents.. Maybe when a cashier asks to open an account (which I know they have to), they shoukd callfor back up when the transaction is held up bc of the persons low credit score holds up the next in line.. Just a thought

2022-06-04We have been an account holder for years, living in many states and areas with a Kohls around us. It is such a shame how far this store, and this chain, in general, have fallen. Theres never enough staff, especially at the registers. The clearance racks are always a disorganized mess, and regular priced items are frequently missing complete size runs. You play games with pricing, frequently offering the deepest discounts after your customers have already purchased and making those discounts for a limited amount of time. Rarely do you see a management presence on the floor controlling the ebb and flow of the environment. The area that has the most staff with the friendliest service is in the newer Sephora section of the store.Pay fair wages and give better benefits to your employees so that you retain better staff. Change your budgets and policies to reflect people-first behaviors allowing for better over all service, and a cleaner, more well organized environment. Teach your management how to lead and affect the business in a positive way so that your staff learns what the service industry should really look like, and your customers receive the benefits of this training. Do Better!

2019-06-12On May 15, I went to my local Kohls in Newburgh, NY to buy a new suit jacket and pants for a funeral. I arrived there just before 8:30pm and had the worst shopping experience of my life in that store.Just as I start shopping in the Men’s department, a work crew comes in and starts ripping and peeling the merchandising wallpaper off the walls. That was annoying and noisy but not a terrible inconvenience. I found a few items that I wanted to try on, so I went into the fitting room in the Men’s department to find that the work crew was using that fitting room as a staging area. Their tools littered the floor, merchandising signs were stacked in the doorway, and their crews’ case of water was in the middle of the area in front of the dressing rooms. Aside from the obvious construction debris, the dressing rooms themselves were filthy - clothes strewn all over, dirt and dust all over the floor. It was obvious that no one had cleaned in there in quite a while. It was getting late so I tried on a few items and came out of the fitting room to show my wife, now wearing dress shoes that I had brought along with me. I slipped on the way out because the work crew had now taped plastic to rug since I had gone in to the dressing room. There were Kohl’s shopping carts in the isles being used to carry the work crews tools and now tools on the floor in the aisle. The last staw was when the work crew started using a spray can. I dont know what kind of remover/solvent was in that can but the fumes were giving me a headache. At that point I just took what I had to checkout and asked to speak to a manager. I explained what was going on to the person on duty - Amy - and I also asked her for Kohls corporate number. Amy did go to the men’s department to verify what I was saying and did in fact find the spray can that the workers were using. I took a few pictures before I left so that you can see I’m not exaggerating.I was shopping in the store starting at 8:30pm and checked out at 9:30pm - those are normal business hours - the store does not close until 10pm. If Kohls is going to be remodeling - they should do it after hours. Otherwise, put up signs, rope off the area, etc… If I would have known that situation was going on in the mens department I would have gone to Macy’s instead.I called Kohls corporate number on May 17 to inform them of the problem. The representative that I spoke with said that the manager of that store needed to be re-trained if they let something like that go on during business hours. She gave me a case number and assured me that the district manager would contact me directly to discuss my experience.Well, it been almost a month since my call to corporate and Ive never been contacted by anyone from Kohls. The impression that I’m left with is that Kohls just wants to make those in-store sales and doesn’t care at all about their customers. My wife an I will never shop at the Newburgh, NY store again and I suggest that you avoid it as well.

2022-01-18Always love to shop at Kohls some items may be a little pricey but then again most of the time Im looking at Clarence items not saying that Im cheap but then again I dont like to be overcharged
