Intimate, comfortable, friendly theater: almost a little pub-like. Great productions. The seats are a bit narrow, as are the stairs: something to be aware of if you are someone who needs more room. Theater is up a set of brownstone stairs, and bathroom is on the second floor. No ramps, no elevators.
I saw Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind and I was glad I did. It certainly evoked a few emotions. It was nice that I can have wine and that there was a student discount. The theater was not too large but had some authentic coolness to it. I liked the stained glass and intimateness. The little bar was cute too. The stage was fitting. The performance itself was so unique and clever at times. I am glad I had the chance to experience it.
We saw Infinite Wrench and it was so worth it. All the laughter interspersed with bits of truly touching moments. And every show is different. I will continue going back whenever I have friends in town, not only to show them a good time but to see the new martial as well. A+!
I love coming here for the reoccurring Neofuturists show The infinite wrench. The KGB bar is right upstairs from the theater and its a very aesthetic place to grab a drink before or after a show. The whole building has a great downtown/indie theater/art scene vibe to it.
Old SKOOL NYC theater - a black box sort of stage with a small audience seating area. The thing is - there is such an eclectic and varied and interesting selection of performances. Both Frigid and Fringe host shows here, too. Go and see what is up -real grassroots theatre.
Intimate atmosphere and adorable humans. I had a great time with the little troop of Improvised Buffy. Funny, offbeat, you can feel the love of the series rendered in a swarm of winks.Intimate atmosphere and lovely people. Ive had a wonderful time at Improvised Buffy. Funny and quirky, you can feel the love for the series, rendered with cheeky winks at the Buffy universe.

2022-03-27We were at the Kraine for Infinite Wrench and thought it was fantastic. 30 plays in 60 minutes, some were funny and some were poignant. A few were profane. There were mistakes. Its a very friendly crowd and a fun place to hang out late on a Saturday night. The show changes every week and I definitely would like to go back the next time Im in the city. Take your teenagers, they can explain the jokes.

2022-05-14This place is discriminating against people who aren’t boosted in may of 2022, while the comedy club right down below has a packed show with no masks, no mandates, and probably not as funny (our friends who didn’t get turned away left midway through), there’s plenty of other great ny comedy clubs to go to, so skip this one. The girl at the front was rude and said “you know the booster is still free right?” So why don’t you get your 7th…

2019-03-17I really enjoyed the Infinite Wrench. The venue is so much fun too! Its located inside the KGB bar on the first floor. I would definitely come back here to enjoy another show. Very intimate. The seat was a little bit uncomfortable but I could deal with it.

2018-02-13This was a cool little space. Very, very tiny, but it gets the job done and I actually have a fondness for places that are carved out of a place that was never intended to be used for performance. The sound and lighting was good. The lobby was nothing more than a miniscule space left over after the creation of a molecular box office.Theres nowhere to wait inside until just before the show, but theres a stoop to sit on and the neighbourhood has lots of options. There is a tiny little pizza place with a storefront that opens right into the sidewalk two blocks away that has outrageous thin-crust pizza thats so good its worth a trip all on its own merit. Plus the guy behind the counter there is a sweetheart. The folks who worked in the theater itself were a little too caught up in their own importance but pleasant enough.Up a long, steep flight of stairs from the theater was a charming, small bar and a friendly bartender. The bathrooms were decent. Lobby, theater, bar, and bathrooms were very clean and well kept. The building itself is very old and Im glad to see it being put to such good use as a tiny, indy theater.Ill be happy to go back if and when theres other performances there I want to see.
