Staff definitely should be wearing masks, so as customers if you see them please tell them! I love this place so much I don’t want them to close down. Their food has been consistently very good compared to the many Thai restaurants in the area, I would rate them my top pick. When I am traveling and have Thai I always compare them to this place. They have lots of other authentic Thai cuisine outside of the typical pad Thai which is very rare because most thai places are a mix with Chinese influences, this place is as authentic as it can get. Try their curry or fish that looks like it’s jumping out at you!
I would like to give this place 0/5 stars, but I wasnt given the option. The food is awful because they use sugar as their main ingredient spice, and they cant even package properly. They pack burning hot food that melted away part of the flimsy plastic container, therefore making it carcinogenic to consume. Never going back.
Very Rude Staff! I called for a pick up order today, the woman was very impatient over the phone. Because I didn’t really order Thai food that much, so I asked ingredients about a dish, she yelled “Oh my god!” and then Hung Up the phone, didn’t even take my order! She definitely has some attitude problems.
I celebrated my graduation last night in this excellent restaurant. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a great evening and the place was evidently one of the reasons for this fruitful evening. The crew helped in a pleasant manner, the cuisine was great and my guests were so happy. We shall surely return for more joyful events. Thank you very much.
This place is my first choice place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I I need a good lunch, this is the place that comes instantly to my mind. best and many types of food and a large list of dishes.courteous staff, and agreeable atmosphere. Also important, the bill is reasonable. I recommend this spot with no hesitation.
If Only I could give this place 0 stars!! food was dry, vegetables were not cooked fully. They messed up my take out order and overcharged me by $30, when I called they told me they will refund but eventually they still overcharged me by over $9. Never going again! Beware!
We were in the area and decided to have a Thai lunch. We had Pad Thai and Red Curry from lunch special. The price was quite reasonable and the food was decent. The place is not big but enough to serve the customers coming for their lunch. It is right across from Great Neck Plaza so the parking is plenty.
Wow! I was blown away by this place. It was recommended by a friend, and well worth the trip. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and great care was taken in the preparation. I usually judge a Thai restaurant by their Tom Ka Gai, and they did not disappoint. It was purposely left mild, and the server brought over the hot sauce for me to add the heat as I saw fit. Great move! I like my soup spicy, but that might not be for everyone, so I was impressed with that. I also tried the Duck Pad Thai, which was delicious. The duck was flavored and cooked perfectly. The server brought over the dried Thai Chile powder to top my dish when he saw my reaction with the soup. Great Thai Iced Tea as well. Overall, well worth the price, which is a bit high for Thai food, typically. Great service and experience. Definitely worth the detour off the LIE.
One of the more refined Thai dining options on Long Island. Definitely the best Thai option in Great Neck by far, as their food is very authentic Thai. Wild Ginger and Laverne are pretenders when it comes to Thai food. Tasty food, authentic taste, friendly staff, nice decor. Youll like Krung Tep. If you want to try them out, go during lunch and try out their best selling items at lunch menu prices. Only reason I cant give 5 stars is that their curries at $12.00+ (they are a bit stingy with the rice too) and their soups at $7.00 is a bit steep for the little bowls that you get.
This place is fantastic! The flavors are on point -- delicious and authentic. The owners are Thai, and they are serving up tasty food in generous portions at good prices. We got the chicken larb, tom yum goong and #35 (spicy Thai basil noodles with red pork), and we asked for all to be Thai hot. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and fast! We told the owner that this is better than what we find in our neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. Great, casual place with a beautiful garden!
As a lover of food from different cultures I very much enjoy eating Thai food. One afternoon I was looking to try this Thai place in great neck as it would be a new location for me. Unfortunately when I was greeted I was not given a pleasant greeting, and I felt very unwelcome by the way my food and drink was served. Never again!
I don’t how his place doesn’t have a consistent 5 Star. I’ve had Thai food across NYC and I was so surprised to find such great Thai food on Long Island. Most staff members are Thai and you can tell their food is authentic. All the staff are so polite and accommodating. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Very nice. Yummy food. Clean environment. Friendly service. First time eating there. Will go again.👉🏻 Nove 11 2019 Update: ordered their Thai Ocean. It suppose to be very spicy. But its not spicy at all. my mother-in-law ordered the same dish. She thought so too. Other than that. Food was Delicious! And this time. The service was just ok. Not bad not good. I guess their waitress was just too tired that day. Idk.🤷🏻♀️ so …
Extremely disappointed. We ordered food from doordash and we had missing items. I called the restaurant and they outright refused to send me the remainder of the order. They asked me to call doordash costumer service while it was their mistake.Ruining peoples family dinner is not the best way to attract costumers. Just saying.
This was my first and last time ordering food from this place. I was VERY disappointed with the service. I dealt with a man named Kevin although Im not sure if that was his real name but hes the waiter with braces. I ordered pineapple fried rice and a side of sticky rice. I asked if they had mango sticky rice because it WASNT on the menu. He made it seem like they could do it so I thought they would just chop up some mangos and put it in the sticky rice. When I picked up my food I noticed on the bill the sticky rice was $8. I asked him about it because on the menu sticky rice is only $2 . Kevin said its on their menu as a dessert. I asked to see the menu and it wasnt on there so he blatantly lied.. I asked for my money back and for the plain sticky rice instead. He then became very rude/combative and started giving me an attitude and said since I didnt inquire about the price difference it was my fault. Meanwhile its NOT ON THEIR MENU SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THERES A PRICE DIFFERENCE??? After trying to explain to me how I was wrong he went to get the manager. When the manager came out he continued to be rude and talked over me while I was trying to explain why I wasnt happy. The sole reason I wont be returning is because of him. Kevin you work in customer service have you not heard the term the customer is always right?
Noticed the great reviews, so I had high expectations, thats probably why I was so disappointed. The sofa was peeling... thats unattractive. I had deep fried food such as the calamari and duck, they werent crispy. It was as if they were deep fried only til it turned a bit brown and then it was brought out. The broccoli had weird brown/black sploches on it that I put aside, never have I seen that in the broccoli I eat. The pad thai and fried ri ce was average, meat was well cooked. All the food was sweet. The service was only average. I think we had a new waiter, she didnt know the menu items that well to answer the questions point blank. The bathroom is clean though!
Worst experience, the restaurant says its a BYOB and then dictates, to drink only wine or beer as they dont allow scotch.Server or part owner( not clear) was very nasty and started a fight, upon asking if we could drink scotch. We were a party of 12, we left the restaurant.
Excellent excellent excellentdo not think twice or three times this restaurant is the best on the east coast .the food is superb .....the service is fantasticgod is the food so fantastic .trust a person who eats thai food 3-4 times a week all o we the usa because i travel every week .
Went to get takeout at 11:10 am and person at front desk nearly three me out with a horrible tone and facial expression(opens at 11:30)I hope this wasnt the boss and that this employee should be removed from the job because he is a detriment to the business- wont be patronizing this business ever again....
As I was looking for a decent Thai restaurant with easy parking access in Bayside area, my wife and I found Krung Tep, allow me to said this is one tiny awesome place to enjoy food and company.. The place is clean not over-decorated, music is soft so you actually can have a conversation with your partner and the staff is bery courteous.. Oh I forgot the most important .... food is absolutely delicious,Ive been coming for the past summer and from now on Krung Tep is part of my top 5 restaurants.

2021-12-13I started with the crispy Thai shrimp rolls and Thai iced tea. As I was finishing up my last roll my entree was placed on the table. Perfection! The vegetables in my drunken noodle dish were perfectly crisp, the chicken was seasoned just right and the shrimp were springy and tasteful as well. The staff is always pleasant and efficient. I couldnt ask for a more enjoyable lunch experience. Merry Christmas! 🎄

2021-06-26A disappointment, not sure if we visited on an off-day but not a good experience. The food taste like a white persons best attempt at recreating Thai recipes off the BBC website. Perhaps the flavours have purposely been altered to suit more western palettes? First red-flag should have been all the rave reviews about authenticity from non-Thai folks. We ordered the lunch specials for Pad Thai and the Krung Tep fried rice, so Im only going to comment on the quality of these two items. At $10 (for non- beef and shrimp options) it was reasonably priced for the amount. Both dishes were bland and just tasted overwhelming like oil, the spring rolls taste like your typical frozen selection at your local supermarket. The Pad Thai didnt taste like it had enough tamarind, palm sugar or fish sauce. The rice didnt have enough sodium and had bits of frozen peas and carrots that were poorly out of place. Just very odd flavours, my toddler and baby wouldnt even eat it :( I would give this place a miss and visit Bangkok Avenue instead. The restaurant itself is in a convenient location, clean and had well-styled interior, albeit small. The member I spoke to was polite and menu pricing was average, food was well-presented.

2022-07-08This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I found a hair in my food, called them to inform them that there was a hair. The owner of the restaurant was extremely rude to me, asked me to take the food out from the trash and bring it back to her to show her proof. Horrible food and horrible customer service. Please save yourself the trouble and do not go here.

2017-10-14Trendy Thai restaurant with exceptional food. I wish the portions were a bit bigger due to the slightly elevated prices. Food is good. They could also cater to different spiciness levels if possible bc everything seemed mild. Drunken noodles good. Nice chandelier. Friendly staff. Street parking.

2022-06-25Good fresh food. One of our grandsons favorites. Nice selection of GF &/or vegan. Place looks like it got a facelift. Brighter, nicer inside, also looks like all new people. Food still very good and fresh.

2017-04-28This place is sweet and intimate, much like Id imagine it would be in a traditional Thai restaurant.Totally imagining this as Ive always wanted to visit Thailand. Bek was our server. He was patient enough to give me tourist info like US winter time is the best time to go. The weather is like spring and fall here during that time. During the summer its uncomfortably hot. And the North and South are better for a real experience. Mountains and trails to the North and beautiful beaches in the South. Oh and lush gardens everywhere. Since tourism is big over there, resort style living is available everywhere. Oh and you dont need to worry about safety too much, be alert but not hyper vigilant.Back to the food. . . I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken sausage and chicken. Delicious. They had gluten free soy sauce a plus. I forgot to ask for no eggs in my rice so I could share with my son. When I mentioned it to Bek the rice was already coming out of the kitchen. Bek kindly had a small portion made for my son and he remembered it had to be gluten free! Thats good service.I also had the chicken Satay as an appetizer. No pic, sorry. Mom had the Drunken noodles with chicken.Portions are good; large enough to take a small box home.I was fortunate enough to find a spot right out front. Metered street parking. Its a quick drive from the Northwell health groups on Northern Blvd.I had a good time and the ambiance is warm with all the wood minimalistic decor.Loved it! We will be back

2022-05-16Worst takeout - consistently given flavorless noodles without sauce. Could not be more bland. Don’t bother ordering from here

2021-07-03A really good Thai spot in the Great Neck area. For apps we ordered The shrimp spring rolls ( okay) the Tum Tum soup was great and spot on. For dinner we had Panang curry with drunken noodles ( these were amazing and very tasty). Overall the service was great and it was cozy place inside. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend this place.
